It is about 60 squared meters, with one bedroom, a living room, a separate kitchen and a bathroom. All comforts are included: air conditioning, internet, television, stereo etc. The beach is only 50m away, and so are all the tiny restaurants and shops of the town. I love this romantic little house very much: it is where my children were conceived, so I am only prepared to rent it to very serious people. Ideal for couples wishing to spend a romantic time and exploring the environs.

The only drawback we can see is that there are some formidable stairs to climb to reach the flat. - "We were staying in the apartment for 2 days in August 2021. The apartment is nicely furnished and decorated in a modern style. Everything was very clean and well prepared for our stay. The apartment has a nice layout where the one bedroom can be separated from the living room with a sliding door. Still both rooms then have a separate access to the kitchen and bathroom. Thus two parties like two couples or parents/kids can nicely stay in the apartment. The kitchen was well equiped as well as the bathroom that also has a washing machine. The apartment has a nice view over the Mediterranean sea from the very large patio. Parking is not directly in the same house but close (50m) in a nearby garage. Even with a big car (BMW 5series with lots of windsurfing gear on the top) it was easy to enter and leave the garage. A supermarket is within 10min walking distance. The apartment sits on top of Camogli which is a nice small village that offers a large collection of restaurants and bars. You can also rent a boat or take a ferry to nearby places like Genua or Portofino. The latter we found really useful as roads are narrow in this area and parking space is very limited. Thus, using boats and ferries for transportation was very convenient. Our host Paolo is a nice and courteous person. He was always available via Whatsapp to help with everything we needed. Overall, our stay in the apartment in Camogli was really wonderful!"

In terms of location, it's a 2 minute walk to the beach and in an amazing spot for all of the bars and restaurants of Camogli. The location was amazing. The only downside, as people have mentioned, is the stairs but this is very, very common in Camogli and we were expecting it. It helps you stay fit and walk off the extra pasta! Nobody in my family had any issue with the steps. We would recommend and we would return. "

- "Nice location just 5 min walk from the beach and food store. Quiet and with beautiful surroundings. Newly renovated, nice beds and a modern kitchen. Unfortunately there were a few problems. The kitchen was not equipped for cooking, hardly to boil an egg. Two small frying pans and one really big pot. It would also be nice to find the basics, some salt, pepper and maybe oil in the kitchen, you can’t buy that for a 4 day stay. It is not correct that you have access to a washing machine, it is just a dryer. This was a problem for me since I planned the packing based on that info. Camogli is a quieter resort than its more famous neighbours, Portofino or the towns of Cinque Terre, but there is plenty to enjoy here. The apartment is a 10-minute walk from the beach and the colourful seafront, which is home to many good restaurants and bars.

For self-catering, Camogli’s weekly market (Wednesday morning) is an excellent place to buy the freshest local produce and just a 5-minute walk from the apartment. The town’s beach is free and popular with families.

Away from the coast, there are some spectacular hiking routes nearby on the promontory between Camogli and Portofino. Portofino is a 3-hour, 15-minute walk. Alternatively, the Abbey of San Fruttoso (3 hour and 15-minute walk) makes a lovely day trip. The abbey can only be reached by boat or on foot. Visitors can soak up the atmosphere of this peaceful spot.

A very nice and peaceful small apartment, with no view because on the groundfloor, but located only a few meters away from the sea and promenade of Camogli in the heart of the hystorical centre. Refurbished to the highest standards and well equipped with towels, sheets, blankets, coffee maker, kettle and a very fast Vodafone fiber connection, while maintaining the spirit of an old fishermen's home.

The space
Camogli Home is on the GROUNDFLOOR, so you don't have a view but you don't have to climb up steep stairs to reach the house !! ( only FIVE STEPS UP and FOUR DOWN to get to the inner court where the flat is). This is quite uncommon in Liguria. Therefore it's ideal for old people or families with small children or just people who like being confortable.
Although it is situated right in the centre near shops, supermarkets, restaurants and coffe bars, it is very quiet and peaceful because it doesn't overlook the street, but is at the rear of the building.
Walls are very thick so the house is very cool and in the summer the air conditioning is nearly not necessary.
The bathroom is quite small, but has everything you need.
The flat is also provided with a very innovative AIR TREATMENT SYSTEM that works at its best with all flat windows closed (like air conditioning) , purifying the air coming from outside and making it free from all pollutants, smog, particulate dust and allergenes like pollen and mould.
This system also keeps the right level of humidity inside the flat, adjusting itself automatically depending on the season and on the number of people living inside. Therefore Camogli Home is perfect for people who suffer from allergies like grass family etc. or who cannot stand humid environments , as flats so near the sea usually are.

Other things to note
TOURIST TAX ( 2.5 euro per night per person for the first 10 days. Children under 15 are excluded.) It is due on check out day.

PARKING
The house is located right in Camogli centre, which is a pedestrian zone, so there are no parking spaces very near the house.
There are anyway some pay and display car parks at five minutes' walk, for example in PIAZZA MATTEOTTI or in VIA GIO BONO FERRARI, in front of the hotel Cenobio dei Dogi and one between Recco and Camogli in front of Gulliver supermarket in VIA RUFFINI 25.
There are also some free parking spaces in Camogli (with white stripes) like in Corso MAZZINI, VIA BETTOLO, VIA CUNEO and even in PIAZZA MATTEOTTI, but you must be very lucky to find one, especially in high season (from May to September). During low season it is much easier and it's worth trying.
Check the signs carefully because parking disk might be required or because one day a month, parking is forbidden due to street cleaning.
My suggestion anyway is to stop in Recco, where it is much more likely to find one, and get either the bus to Camogli or the train to Sestri Levante ( it’s only one stop) or even have a nice walk (it is at about 800 m. distance from the house).
