We even had a rental car since we were touring all over the area--we parked in the public garage which is like 1 block from the house, it allows 24-hour parking. that garage is up a hill from the house, and, the stairs at the house are very steep, but Cinque Terre in general is mountainous and there are tons of steep steps everywhere. For me, it's great, I love getting my exercise, especially after all the pasta and wine I have in Italy! Highly recommend this beautiful house!!!"

In the heart of Monterosso the apartment is ideally located: very near to the main square of the village, to the beach, to the food store and any kind of shops. It is easily accessible: the parking is at about 100 metres and it is situated at the 1st floor, so just a few stairs. It is very clear and the windows overlook the two main streets of the village. Inside it is quite confortable and fully equipped

The apartment was perfectly laid out so our teens had privacy in their own room (and heavy duty windows and shutters to keep the sun and the sounds of people enjoying their holidays out.) Yes, there is street noise which others have mentioned but it it didn’t bother us at all and it was worth it to be smack in the middle of the fun and action and be able to smell the delicious pastries being made in the bakery below. We started every morning with cappuccinos and pastries just down from the apartment (paticerie Laura I think it was) and has pizza a couple of times from the pizzeria just steps up from the apartment. Both highly recommended and reasonably priced. The apartment was clean, functional (we cooked a couple of meals and had everything we needed to do so), had a portable air conditioning unit which was much appreciated and in a great location. We absolutely loved our stay here ! Monterosso is a perfect location to explore the Cinque Terre and hike and enjoy the beach. Thank you Francesca for a memorable few days!"

At the second roundabout at the gates of Levanto, follow the signs for 5 Terre/Monterosso/La Spazia. Once you arrive above the town of Monterosso, you will be at a crossroads and you will have to continue towards MONTEROSSO CENTRO STORICO for another 4 km. At the end of the descent you will arrive at a roundabout where you will find the Loreto multi-storey parking garage for a fee (€25 per day for the first 2 days, €10 per day from the 3rd to the 7th day inclusive and then €5 per day from the 8th day onwards).
4. How to reach Monterosso by train:
- Coming from Florence you need to change trains at least 1 time in La Spezia Centrale, or, depending on your schedule, 2 times, usually in Pisa Centrale first and then in La Spezia Centrale.
- Coming from Milan there is an InterCity train every 2 hours, and in less than 3 hours you will reach Monterosso.
- Coming from Venice, it is first of all convenient to reach Milan from where every 2 hours an InterCity departs that stops in Monterosso, reaching it in less than 3 hours.
5. The nearest parking lot is the Loreto multi-story garage (€25 per day for the first 2 days, €10 per day from the 3rd to the 7th day included and then €5 per day from the 8th day onwards), right at the beginning of the historic center. If there is no space, you can park your car for free along the road that leads to the village, paying attention to the signs, as parking is allowed only where there are WHITE stripes. A second parking lot is available on the opposite side of the historic center, in Loc. Fegina, the cost of which is the same as the previous one.

Lovely two-room apartment in the heart of the historic center of Monterosso, close to bars, restaurants and shops, but in a quiet area of the town, a few steps from the beautiful beaches (200 m - 5 min walk), the station (600 m - 15 min walk) and the center of the town with all its amenities.

Via Milite Ignoto, a stepped street, is part of “La contrada dell'Erta”. Going up the street, about halfway up, on the right, there is access to a narrow courtyard, at the end of which you will find “La Casa di Cinzia” at number 40. The two-room apartment consists of a large kitchen with all the necessary utensils for preparing and eating meals. Adjacent to the kitchen is a small bathroom, complete with sink and toilet, while the shower room, outside, is large and equipped with bidet, mirror, and hairdryer. The bedroom is furnished with a wardrobe, double bed, bedside tables with lamps, chest of drawers and mirror. There is also the possibility of adding a third single bed, for which pillows, blankets and sheets will be provided. Passing through the small white door located at the end of the room, you will have access to a large terrace, overlooking the village, equipped with two armchairs with a small table, useful if you want to take advantage of a beautiful sunny morning to have breakfast. If, on the other hand, you want to relax after a long day, losing yourself among the rooftops of Monterosso, the terrace also has two sun loungers. Wi-Fi internet, flat-screen TV and air conditioning are available inside the property.

Returning to “La Contrada dell'Erta” and going up, you can reach the Convent of the Capuchin Friars of Monterosso, perched on the promontory, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Ligurian coast. The convent has great historical and artistic value thanks to the adjacent church of San Francesco, where there are some paintings such as "The Crucifixion", attributed to the painter Van Dyck. Don't miss the cloister with its garden, the beautiful terrace overlooking the sea and the ancient refectory of the Capuchin friars. You can also reach this convent by climbing the staircase next to Hotel Pasquale, just before the tunnel that leads to the new town, Fegina. If, on the other hand, you walk down the steps of “La Contrada dell'Erta”, you reach Piazzetta Don Minzoni, the heart of the historic center of Monterosso. The square is overlooked by the Enoteca "Da Eliseo", a grocery store associated with Conad, and more.

During high season, a public service minibus is available that crosses the historic center and reaches the Fegina district along the entire waterfront. Once you arrive in Fegina, the bus climbs the mountain and descends from the road that leads to the historic center.
If a guest is unable to find a place for their car in the public parking lot of Loreto Terrazza before the entrance to the old town (€25 per day), the closest to the apartment, they can park their car for free along the downhill road that leads to the historic center (we remind you that the yellow parking lots are for residents only) and take the bus or walk for about 1 or 2 km.

How to get here:
BY CAR
CARRODANO exit of the A12 Genoa - Livorno. Go down to Levanto. In Levanto, go up to Colle di Gritta, where there is a fork for Monterosso. The journey time is about 30 minutes.
BY TRAIN
Monterosso stop. If the train does not stop in Monterosso, the town is easily accessible from the stations of Genoa and La Spezia. Except for nighttime hours, the frequency of trips is such as to satisfy every need, especially during the summer.

It's close to the covered parking, but it's already inside the historic center, a 3-minute walk from the beaches. Next to the door you will find a bank, the post office and a small supermarket. And immediately after a pharmacy, laundry, restaurants, bars, pizzerias. The train station is just 10 minutes away. The bedrooms are at the back of the building, so you won't hear street noise.
