As our guests say, the photos fail to render the breadth of the view (see reviews). The house is welcoming, comfortable and allows you to spend a pleasant and relaxing stay thanks to the context in which it is inserted, guests return. Well-kept furniture, (also cots 0/2 or 2/4 years, high chair), internet connection, heating system, air conditioning, in the bathroom there is a shower with anti-panic shower cubicle, the sink with furniture surmounted by a large mirror wall with light, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need, a double bedroom with a comfortable slatted bed, a large wardrobe, a safe, a comfortable and well-kept single bedroom, the large living room that overlooks the access terrace to the house, is used both in the dining area with table and chairs and in the relaxation area with the television, the armchair and a practical double sofa bed there is also a nice brick fireplace but it is not allowed to use it.
A feature of this part of the house is the presence of niches in the walls, typical of Ligurian houses built in sturdy and wide stone walls, which with the insertion of shelves replace the sideboards and bookcases.
The apartment is ok for sea and trekking activities (access to the paths of Monte di Portofino is a short distance from the house), the terrace as well as enjoying the view of the gulf has a table and chairs for breakfast and protection tents from the sun, The garden has a table for dining, barbecue and in spring and summer we make a small vegetable garden for our guests.
The children enjoy collecting vegetables and can visit our 5 hens. Seeing them collect the hot eggs in the nest is always a pleasure, in their eyes one can read amazement, joy and a little fear.

- "Excellent apartment that worked really well for us. On two floors and had everything you need for a good stay. Great views over the hills out to sea from the lounge. Our older teenage son loved the privacy of his own area upstairs. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We were lucky enough to be there during the festival for the local saint San Lorenzo which added to our enjoyment. There is a fairly steep walk down/up to the property from the road which won't suit some people but as long as you are reasonably mobile you will be ok. The road the property is off seems at first to be intimidatingly narrow, however even though we had a larger vehicle it worked out fine. Local people were used to and good at ducking in an out of the passing spaces and with a bit of patience everything was pretty easy. Great value for money and would very happily stay there again."

The apartment is located in a building from the early 1900, with only two apartments, both owned by myself.

The apartment available to guests is autonomous, it’s been completely rebuilt and renovated in 2023 (new electrical systems, windows, furniture) and is spread over two floors.
The first floor opens onto the living room, with an open kitchen equipped with everything you need (dishwasher, oven, fridge), furnished with a dining table, sofa and TV. On the left is the sleeping area consisting of the double bedroom, a large bathroom with shower and a second bedroom/smart work-ing area with a double sofa bed. Both rooms have access to a large balcony.
The second floor is accessed via an internal staircase and consists of two comfortable bedrooms (one with a double bed and another with two single beds) and a bathroom with tub/shower.

- "We were a family of 6 travelling through the Italian Riviera. Great, spacious and clean appartment in the heart of Sta. Margherita Ligure. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and beaches. Building has an elevator which helps with the luggage and the appartment offered parking. Parking is a bit far from the appartment but you'll likely not use it much anyways. If you're good with a longer walk, you can get all the way to Portofino from the appartment. I recommend it for the breathtaking views along the coast. Only downside is that the appartment does not offer AC but has plenty of fans to help manage the August summer heat. Highly recommend the property!"

We are in the heart of S.Margherita Ligure, a stone's throw from the sea.
While the summer is full of tourist activities, the other seasons offer wonderful walks on the Portofino mountain, mountain bike excursions, underwater activities in the protected marine area.

The space
We always try to put at ease the guest who comes and to offer him a peaceful family setting.

Guest access
The train station is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Bus and ferry are located instead in 5 minutes (on foot). In summer you can use the shuttle bus leaves from the stop of the town (adjacent to our hotel) and leads directly to the beaches of Santa Margherita Ligure. And 'active bike-sharing service with renting the ordinary.

Other things to note
* The Tourist Tax is in force every year in Santa Margherita Ligure. The host collects €1.00 directly from the guest for each single overnight stay (if due according to regulations) and pays it into the municipal coffers.
