Comfortable 1 bedroom/1 bath apartment, for 1 to 4 adults (children welcome) with a queen bed and futon couch (Pack n Play available). The flat is in the basement of a home (quiet, single occupant). The ceilings are low (81'; one crossbeam descends 5-1/2') and, while there are plenty of windows, the apartment gets natural light mainly in the mornings. The apartment has its own entrance and an outdoor table and chairs.

Guests are asked to book a minimum of 2 nights and to only bring the number of guests agreed upon. Monthly rentals are welcome. A pet is possible, if quiet and well behaved and pre-approved by me (pet deposit required). Your pet may not be left alone in the apartment due to previous damages by pets. The Love Suite is an adorable 350 sf studio with queen bed, satellite TV, internet, brand new kitchenette fully stocked with dishes and utilities, new bathroom with shower, spilt unit heating and air. One block form Main Street, Walk to everything. One block to Center for the Arts. Adorable small space right in the heart of downtown Grass Valley. A great hide-away or romantic get-a-way. We have a community washer and dryer, and a private fenced in yard.

Other things to note

It also has a small yard. There is NO Oven or dishwasher. There is however a 2 burner stove top and refrigerator, fully stocked with dishes and utensils, toaster, coffee pot, crock pot.

This beautiful 150-year-old Historic Victorian called The Hatfield House is located downtown Nevada City 1/2 block away from restaurants, bars, theatre, shopping & all the activities Nevada City has to offer. It is attached to my Day Spa, Salon & Boutique called Body Essence which a 10% discount is available for spa services for those who book the suite. It is a private unit with a Jack & Jill bathroom between the rooms with a small kitchenette & a porch.
The unit has 1 queen bed & the extra room has a sleeper sofa which I add an extra foam mattress to for extra comfort.
The rooms have a private entrance & share a bathroom.
I send out the door code & check-in information by 3 pm on the day of arrival.
Guests have access to the backyard & front yard. There is only street parking available and generally a spot next to the unit.

You'll love this industrial modern 1 BR apartment sleeps 2-4. With a loft-style large open floor plan, huge chef's kitchen with massive island and counter seating for 8 there’s plenty of room to spread out and relax. The cushy living room space has a large screen TV and leather sectional. The cook's kitchen has a granite island which seats 8, all high-end KitchenAide appliances and laundry in unit.

I don’t know how it would be any other time of the year but even in the back yard (which is lovely and inviting with a small hot tub and hanging lights), there’s a creek that drowns out the sound of any cars. Would definitely stay at Paul’s place again on our next visit."

Modern designer build with high-end custom materials and finishes throughout. This cozy studio-style space has a cushy queen bed, with luxury linens, down comforter and fluffy pillows. There is a large TV on the wall across from the bed. At the end of a full day of exploring/shopping/dining, kick off your shoes, heat up the left-overs and lounge in bed watching your favorite shows on Netflix.

There are many walks and trails just outside the door which is especially nice for dog lovers. The apartment has been completely remodeled and should have everything a single or couple need. There are many steps to negotiate.

We are an 8 minute drive from Nevada City and Grass Valley.

The space
The Diggins is a separate dwelling unit on a 2 acre property where full time residents live in the main house. The property has 5 different species of oak trees, mature gardens and plenty of parking. The dwelling, designed by the resident who is a longtime architectural designer, boasts curved walls, natural light, a great room with a wall of windows that can be shuttered for privacy and a patio with dining and seating areas with a gas fire pit to enjoy the wonderful weather and all the seasons. The Diggins is equipped with Wi-Fi, a smart TV and a desk for those who need to work while they are visiting. Also includes washer/dryer, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, full kitchen including a dishwasher. A great place for a writer's retreat or if you are in town for one of our many film and music festivals too. Only one hour to skiing, 5 minutes from downtown Nevada City and 20 minutes to the Yuba river, the property also has access to a public walking and mountain bike trails.

Guest access
Guests will have private access to the two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with parking in front of the dwelling. The pool and hot tub are not available to guests. We also have a 1971 red VW bus with a double bed that can be parked in front for another single bedroom and a custom designed trailer with a queen size bed. Other things to note
This is our family home and while we are now mostly empty nesters, friends and family do come and go. If you want total privacy or to be secluded in the forest, this is not the place for you. If you want to be close to town, appreciate contemporary architecture and art and modern accessories and want to hear more about the community and places to eat, shop, walk, hike, ride or see a show, we are your perfect hosts!

- "My family and I booked this last minute B&B for Thanksgiving weekend" - "Getting here was a bit confusing, the listing should definitely mention that it’s actually past the “end” sign on the road. I was disappointed to find out that despite being told by the Evolve team that the owner was in a “completely separate unit” they were definitely attached, the owner is right downstairs, you are renting the top half of this split level home. However, the owner was nice through texting communications and did not disturb us in person. There were multiple cars in the driveway which was daunting at first sight, but it appears they were all his. While everything important was clean it was a bit bizarre to see random stuff in the drawers and cabinets that gave this unit the feel of not being completely mucked out before being put on the market, but by no means was this unmanageable, just strange. The most disappointing thing by far is we were given no heads up about the oven not working, and since we had planned out several meals in advance this totally threw us for a loop & unfortunately meant we wasted time and money on groceries for the week. We ended up having to eat a few meals out which was not our intention and bummed us out a lot. This location had incredible views. The hot tub was brilliant and we were thrilled to find it was set to 103 (most rentals I have stayed at leave it much lower so this was appreciated upon arrival and we hopped right in) The home was cute overall and was nice for a little getaway."

Our first evening there we got to see out the window a deer and rabbits enjoying their evening meal. This is one of the most restful places we have ever stayed. The apartment was truly comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. It was so nice after our hikes to return to the air conditioned room to cool down. We are so anxious to return."

Step outside to discover a lovely private outdoor patio, where you'll find a large outdoor shower with dual rain shower heads, standing over eight feet tall and providing a soothing rainfall of hot water. The flowing fountain adds to the tranquil ambiance, making this an ideal spot for relaxation both day and night.

Conveniently located just ten minutes from downtown Grass Valley and eleven minutes from downtown Nevada City, our roundhouse offers easy access to local attractions, dining, and shopping. Downtown Nevada City is a historic destination known for its vibrant community and rich cultural heritage. Access to the South Yuba river just 20 minutes away!

Plus, we are only twenty minutes from the massive Yuba River, which runs from the tops of the Sierras all the way to the Pacific Ocean. Deer Creek, which runs through our property, is a tributary to the Yuba River and has a rich history of gold discoveries. The land was once part of the Mystic Mine, renowned for its incredible gold finds. Recently, a local discovered 10 ounces of gold with just a snorkel in the river.

In the summertime, enjoy the beautiful Yuba River, sunbath on massive rocks, or enjoy a mini hike down to private access to the year round flowing creek on the property.

If you want a place to stay that will build a fun memory this property is it." - "Studio itself was very clean and the main area was spacious for the three of us and our grehyhound. The main floor had a daybed, with a hide-away for another person. The loft had one bed for two. There is not much height in the loft so you do have to crouch to get into bed. It was fine for our purpose. The ladder/stairs to get up were a bit narrow at the top but they felt pretty sturdy and safe. The 1/2 bath is located just outside the door, approx 10ft away for our use only. Not a big deal for us. It is a bit tight but we were able to do what we needed. The seat warmer was nice especially since we went during colder, rainy weather. There is a communal shower that you have to walk down to. We had to buy shower shoes when we realized that. We also had to make another run into town to buy towels, coffee cups and dish soap. The towels weren't made available for at least 2 of the 3 nights we stayed. There was a mini-fridge, coffee maker, electric water kettle, toaster, toaster oven, electric one-burner. As a very esthetically pleasing studio, being surrounded by trees, I would say it's better than tent camping as you are protected from the elements, cooking is a bit challenging on one burner and washing the dishes outside. We had a knife with us so that saved us. We really liked the proximity to hiking trails. The nearest stores and restaurants are within 6 miles "

The space
Nestled within 11 acres of rolling hills of wooded and grassy areas, the property encompasses gorgeous views, and calming scenery. Our studio and property are well known for being a place to relax and reflect!
Other things to note
We do have twin sheet sets for the couch, which can sleep 2. It is not fold out. We also have lots of space and water & electric and hook-up for a RV or trailer.
