This apartment is the upper unit in a 100 year old home that was converted to two separate floor apartments decades ago. The upstairs apartment was remodeled in 2022 including: fully stocked new kitchen with new appliances, walk-in pantry, new bathroom with marble counters, refinished hardwood floors throughout, new lighting, new paint, new furniture and plush Nectar mattresses. Joovy portable crib, Baby Jogger single stroller and two Inglesina Fast Table Chairs are available upon request at the time of booking. Designated (not shared) washer/dryer on site with laundry soap and dryer sheets provided. Situated on a third of an acre, there's plenty of room to play, dine outdoors at the table for six, or just relax in the park like setting while watching distant boats sail by. Enjoy Lighthouse Beach's 900' of beach and park which are only half a mile away (parking pass provided). Additionally, there are two smaller neighborhood beaches. The Blue Water Bridge and riverfront walkway is only a mile away. Downtown Port Huron is about a five minute car ride, as are Target, Kroger, Meijer, etc. Desmond Landing is 3.5 miles. Several public golf courses are located within 10-20 minutes. Charming downtown Lexington is a 25 minute drive. McLaren Hospital is 2.3 miles.

Access to the second floor requires going up 1.5 flights of narrow switchback stairs and may be difficult for some to navigate comfortably and/or safely. The front stairwell can be used as well, but keys are not provided.

Take a look for yourself in the listing. It's unreal. This was my first time on this platform and I couldn't be more disappointed. Leaky windows, holes in the floor, no bags in the trash, half a roll in the toilet paper holder with NO ROLLS in the rest of the unit. You are fined a substantial amount for dirty dishes despite there being no dish soap or towels aside from two body towels and a hand towel. There was no hand soap either. You are billed for excess electrical bills (not sure how that's calculated...) in a second story dwelling in a centuries old house during summer. The locks on both the exterior door and the unit itself are trash. Two hand operation required. Even the buttons on the TV remote weren't all working correctly! There's paint over spray all over the unit. Any potential savings are not worth the potential headache and shoddy accomodations. Finally, while it's advertised as having gym Access, no instructions are provided as to how to access it. I've even had to re-write this review several times because my references back to the policies of the host keep getting flagged or reported for mentioning specific amenities. STAY AWAY!"

He made sure my icy steps and sidewalk were always salted, my trash was always taken out on trash day, he was always very responsive and easy to get ahold of and so much more. I could tell he really cares about his job and never made me feel like a bother if I had to call or text him for any reason. He was always truly happy to help. The booking process was very easy and straightforward. The owner was very polite and happy to answer any questions I had. Everything was very clean inside and it already had everything I needed. I felt safe staying here and it’s in a beautiful part of town right on the water. I can’t think of any problems I had during my stay or any downsides."

- "I brought my son here from Montana and rented an apartment. It was perfect for our stay and we intend to use this location again" - "This wasn't even close to the apartment that I got. Apartment was upgraded, but done very cheaply. If you are looking for something a little better than a hotel, this is a good option. If you really are a travelling professional and need a well stocked home, this is not for you. No real storage in kitchen. Limited cooking equipment including no hot pads or baking sheets or utensils. Floor is new, but very uneven which is causing the ends of the panels to come up on the ends. Scratched my feet several times. No hangers at all. My unit has a small covered entrance, but you had to dance around the a/c unit to get in plus it flooded from a leak in the roof when it rained. I also noticed 3 racoons climbing into a hole in the roof while I was staying there. Says it's a non smoking house, but I feel like at least 2 of my neighbors were smoking inside. Has a lot of fines such as $25 if you leave the lights on or leave something in the fridge when you leave. Lots of places to sleep, but it would be nice to actually have a sofa or an easy chair to sit on. Beds aren't that comfortable to sit on, plus one of the beds is right in front of the a/c so you are leaning against it. Light over porch never goes off so light still streams into bedroom past blackout curtains."

The apartment is in a great location right downtown in walking distance to so many things, including a bar, candy/ice cream shop and golf simulator all in the same building. This apartment is located on the second floor of a two-unit home, which sits on 1/3 of an acre. Each apartment is completely private and secure. Walking distance to public beaches; beach cart, chairs, towels and parking pass provided. Relax and dine in the backyard which features a dining table that seats six and two Adirondack chairs. Abundant off street parking even has room for your boat!

Although both apartments use the same exterior entrance, each apartment has it's own secure locked entrance and is completely private. The laundry is in the basement, which is shared, as well as the yard. Guests will access the building door and the apartment door with their own private code.

Every inch of both apartments have been renovated including in the downstairs: fully stocked new kitchen, new bathroom, refinished hardwood floors throughout, new lighting, new paint, new transom windows, some new exterior windows, existing 9' ceilings. Being that this is a downstairs apartment in 100 year old home, you will be able to hear guests in the second floor. If noise is a concern for you, please consider booking the upstairs apartment. Additionally, as an older home it comes with imperfections typical for its age. Designated washer/dryer in the basement. Situated on 1/3 acre, there's plenty of room to play or relax in the shared park like setting while watching distant boats go by.
