The Cottage House is located above our garage at the end of our driveway. Guests can pull into the driveway to unload their cars and bring their items up the stairs to their private entrance. We have a safe with a key by the door for you to let yourselves in with a contact-less entry.

We think you'll like the art and artifacts from our travels in this room in the former Lawrence County Jail and Sheriff's Residence in Bedford, 40 miles south of Bloomington and an hour from French Lick. There's a queen-sized bed and private bath. In the morning we will treat you to a big breakfast tailored to your individual tastes. Vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, no problem for us--we love our guests and we love to cook!

The space
Please note that we are located in Bedford, about forty minutes south of Bloomington and an hour northeast of French Lick. The former Lawrence County Jail and Sheriff's Residence is a very unusual historic landmark--in addition to the Victorian residence you see from the front, in back is a big old jail. The place oozes with local history and a somewhat spooky presence after dark.

Your second floor room, the first floor common areas (living and dining rooms and the porch), and the yard and rear parking lot will all be accessible. Please ask if you would like to use the kitchen. The top floor of the house is our private family space, but we will show you the view from the tower if you would like to see it.

During your stay
I am always interested in talking to visitors, so I will interact as much or as little as you want, and time permits. I would also be glad to take you through the old jail if you're interested in seeing it.

Pine Tree Cottage is a cozy spacious efficiency apartment located at Woodcrest Farm. Our farm is a great location for a relaxing getaway. Walking trails and a relaxing garden and garden house is available for our guests. Woodcrest Farm is close to Hoosier National Forest, Spring Mill State Park and the Milwaukee Walking Trail, all within less than 1/2 hour traveling distance.

The space
Pine Tree Cottage is an efficiency apartment space located in it’s own private building. Our guests have access to our walking trails and garden and garden house. Since we are an active working Christmas Greenery and Blueberry farm we have a certain amount of activity going on on the farm.

Pine Tree Cottage guest will have access to a refrigerator and microwave, coffee and tea are also available.

We have 3 cats that live on our farm. They are working cats that help protect our blueberry crop. They find visiting with our guests a favorite pastime. There is an abundance of wildlife on our farm, deer ,wild turkey, rabbit and squirrel and a occasional glimpse of a bald eagle.

Our peaceful and historic 1851 farmhouse guest cottage is located on Bloomington's Eastside. Centrally located to both Indiana University central campus and IU Memorial Stadium for IU Move-In, Family Weekends, Music and Sporting Events - a 5 minute drive. A quick drive and you will be on Kirkwood Ave enjoying the great many restaurants and local shops. 15 minutes from the quaint town of Nashville, IN where you can enjoy the local fare and bars and visit the one of a kind shops by local artists.

Separate cottage provides privacy and comfort during your stay. Just minutes away from Indiana University, Jacob's School of Music, and the Memorial Staduim for sporting events! No hassle parking with two spots available on the property.

Guests have access to the private guest cottage including full kitchen, living area, primary bedroom and private bathroom. Air Mattress and extra linens are available for guests in excess of 2 (primary bedroom sleeps 2) upon request. Outdoor seating area is also available.

Guests will be able to enjoy all that Bloomington has to offer, or if a quiet evening in is what you're after you can relax on the sun deck, cozy up by the fireplace, or even test your skills on the putting green.

This is an entirely separate 2 bed/2 bath guest house with a private entrance. We live in the main house, but you'll have full privacy during your stay. While we'll likely be home, we will be sure to keep to ourselves unless needed.

If you'd like to cook, the kitchen comes fully stocked with cooking supplies and basic ingredients.

Behind the Airbnb is a hiking trail, in which you'll likely have deer, rabbit, turtle, and turkey sightings.

If you happen to be here on a Friday between 5-7PM, just down the road is Muddy Fork Bakery, Indiana’s only wood-fired brick-oven bakery. Here you can purchase breads, pastries, granolas, and flours.

Hoosier National Forest & Lake Lemon are minutes away if you're feeling a little outdoorsy.

Enjoy the beautiful sunsets with a view of the valley below. Our 500 sq. ft. newly remodeled guest house is nestled in the woods, only 5 miles from the IU stadium and 9 miles from Nashville in Brown County. We are conveniently located right off of route 46. If you let us know what event you are coming for we would be happy to leave you a custom box of cookies in your kitchenette. Enjoy the locally sourced handmade goat soap in your shower compliments of the goat farm down the road.

The space
The space is a stand alone structure next to our main house. The bedroom and office area are spacious and can be divided by pocket doors or left open. There is a custom designed private bathroom for guests. The kitchenette is stocked with complimentary coffee, tea, dishes, snacks, s'mores caddy and water bottles. There is a coffee machine, fridge/freezer and microwave in the kitchenette. A toaster can be supplied upon request.

Guest access
Guests will have their own designated parking directly outside the guest house door. The gravel patio area in front of the guest house has a table, chairs, smokeless fire pit and hammock for guests to use at their leisure.
