Welcome to Echo Lodge in Broken Bow, Oklahoma!

This stunning, newly constructed (2021) Broken Bow cabin is nestled in the gorgeous woods of Hochatown on 1.31 acres. It is located between numerous tourist attractions, hiking trails, mountain views, a golf course and near all that Hochatown has to offer. A perfect vacation destination or a quiet place to get away from the everyday hustle and bustle.

OUR HOME

The cabin is surrounded by tall pine trees that offer shading on hot Summer days. It features 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The bedrooms are large in size and the bathrooms provide a spa-like ambiance and luxury. There's a beautiful stone outdoor fireplace and an outdoor hot tub. Kitchen is complete with stainless steel appliances and dining table that seats 6. There are incredible mountain views in the area and plenty of natural light coming into the cabin.

KITCHEN

The quartz countertop island and open kitchen is complete with two counter height stool seating, showcasing the open shelving and closed cabinets. Well equipped with a stainless steel fridge, electric range stove, large stainless steel sink, and dishwasher. It also includes a microwave, Hamilton Beach coffee machine, pots, pans, baking sheet, cooking and grilling tools, dinnerware set, silverware, wine glasses, and much more.

LIVING ROOM

The living room is spacious and provides plenty of seating for guests. It includes a 2-piece sectional with chaise and a pull out full size bed. Corner chaise with cushioned lift top reveals loads and loads of handy storage space for extra pillows and blankets. A smart TV is available in the living room.

BED

The cabin has two bedrooms, one with a king size bed, and the second with a queen size bed. Primary bedroom also has a queen air mattress, extra sheets, pillows, and blankets in the closet. Smart TVs are available in both bedrooms.

BATH

The master/owner's bathroom is located as an 'en suite' adjoining the master/owner suite. It boasts double vanities with plenty of counter and cabinet space and a walk-in custom shower. The guest bathroom is conveniently located right by the guest bedroom with a tub/shower combo.

LAUNDRY

The washer and dryer are tucked away at the end of the hall in the cabin.

OUTDOOR

The covered patio includes lots of seating to lounge that surrounds the fireplace, and includes a charcoal grill. The hot tub sits beside the outdoor fireplace, and leads to the fire pit area in the woods under the stars and twinkling lights. The front u-shaped gravel area offers a large driveway providing plenty of room for parking, and perfect for boats and jet skis! We are located on a dirt and gravel road. It's going to be a bumpy ride!

*Wi-Fi and cable are available. Although we offer this amenity to our guest, we are not responsible for speed or connectivity issues.

*Your safety matters. The property features two exterior cameras by the front door and back patio facing the outside perimeter only. They do not look into any interior spaces or the hot tub. Please note that these security cameras can be used to monitor for additional guests, pets, and/or violations of other policies and regulations. Do not unplug, alter, or vandalize the security cameras in any way.

*We offer Tesla and an EV charger.

*We allow a maximum of 8 guests (including children). Exceeding a maximum occupancy will be subjected to additional charges per night. No unauthorized guests, parties, or large gatherings.

*Pets are not allowed.

*Smoking of any kind (cigarettes, vape, marijuana etc) is not allowed in or around the cabin, deck/patio, or trees. Any evidence of smoking in those areas will result in $100/a day additional charge plus a $750.00 Ozone cleaning fee.

*No solid food or waste is allowed down the kitchen sink as there is NOT a garbage disposal. Liquids only.

*Only flush toilet paper down the toilets. Nothing else is permitted as it will clog the septic.

*The hot tub is drained, sanitized and refilled after every guest.

*A starter set-up of linens, paper towels, toilet paper, cleansing soap, shampoo, conditioner, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, dish soap, trash bags, coffee filter, sugar, and coffee will be provided. Guests may need to bring their own or additional supplies based on their personal needs.

*Our cabin is in the woods, and with that comes elements of nature (i.e. insects, spotty Wi-Fi, power outages, etc). While this isn't unique to our cabin, we want to be transparent. We have a contract with a pest control company who regularly services the property, but it's Oklahoma in the middle of the woods & there will be bugs. Bugs are normal year round but specifically in the Spring and Summer months. These bugs are typically seen outside, however if the doors are left open it is a possibility that they'll welcome themselves inside. Please do your part to keep pests out by keeping the front and back doors shut as you enter and exit the cabin. We're also unable to control birds, lizards, deer, or any other wild animals.

*Similar to rural areas nationwide, you'll experience unpaved roads in & around Broken Bow & Hochatown. A small portion of the road leading to Echo Lodge is not paved.

*An email will be sent before check-in, which includes the guidebook and will also be available in the VRBO app. This includes keyless access, check-in, checkout instructions, and directions to the cabin.

*Failure to comply with cabin policies and procedures may result in eviction without a refund and the application of additional charges.

Cabin is located right on Glover river,hot tub on back deck overlooking the river. Cabin sleeps 10! Far enough to feel secluded but only 12 minutes from the heart of Hochatown Ok. Perfect for family vacations,weekend getaways,family gatherings, bachelorette parties, bachelor parties, etc.

- "It was beautiful and relaxing!" - "The house was beautiful but build very poor. The bedroom had drafts due to poor build, I had to put towels and blankets on floor to help stop drafts(35 degrees) in rooms. Upstairs bath flooded bottom bathroom and shower leaked all over floor. None of the outside doors shut or bedroom and bathroom doors also would not shut for privacy. Dishwasher also didn’t work. I would recommend to bring a caulking gun and lots of blankets. The A/C is also wired wrong and house never got above 67 degrees."

Please note that due to its very secluded location, guests must traverse a few dirt roads "off the beaten path" to reach the cabin. Although the dirt roads are generally kept in good condition, they can be bumpy at times, so please drive slow and safe (and an SUV or truck is, if possible, recommended!). And although the cabin is private, it is still close to Hochatown and all the activities it has to offer, including but not limited to:

The cabin features a two-tiered deck with a hot tub, porch swing, gas firepit, telescope and television upstairs and a barbecue, picnic table, outdoor couch and television on the lower deck (surrounded by tall trees). Inside, the loft has a deep and comfortable couch (that pulls out to make a bed), sheer drapes, a bluetooth record player (with a collection of our favorite records) that can also stream music from your phone, television, and guitar. The Great Room and kitchen has high vaulted ceilings with a ton of windows for natural light and all the cooking utensils/supplies you will need to make a great meal—and another big screen television! The bedroom has a cozy king-size bed with curtains for privacy and a glass sliding door that opens to the trees. And, of course a television. The tile shower has dual showerheads for romantic couples showers!​​​​​​​

Bug spray and sunscreen recommended. We provide a fully equipped kitchen (starter set of pots/pans, plates & cutlery, drinking glasses, cooking utensils, coffee maker (k-cups/cream), standard appliances, salt/pepper/cooking oil, paper towels, note will NOT have foil) so be sure to pack your favorite foods/drinks. All bathroom toiletries are provided including bath towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and toilet paper. Linens and bedding, plus laundry soap (for washer/dryer) are included at each. Grills are hardwired with propane, and firewood is provided at this cabin.

General Information – Two washers and dryers are available in the laundry hall on off the bunk room. Fireplaces are seasonally available (October – May 15th). Please also note that this property uses exterior surveillance cameras facing away from and monitoring activity approaching the cabin's front and back entrances. The only cameras being monitored during your stay are the front-facing cameras to ensure guests do not exceed maximum occupancy at check-in. Wi-Fi can be spotty as you are in a rural area. For any cancellation processed in which a refund is due to the guest, there will be a $50 processing fee. The maximum occupancy for this cabin is 19 with NO EXCEPTIONS.

It is located near all the best restaurants, activities, and park amenities. It is just a short drive to Broken Bow Lake, Beavers Bend State Park, popular hiking trails, restaurants, breweries, wineries, and downtown Hochatown, and access to all the outdoors activities you want – boating, hiking, fly-fishing, kayaking, zip-lining, ATV trails, horseback riding, Cedar Creek Golf Course, Choctaw Landing Casino, mini-golf, helicopter rides, mining for gold, train rides, go-carts, and a great petting zoo.

The space
The bunk house has a queen bed, two sets of bunks and a twin bench that anyone can fall asleep on. Sleeps six, full kitchen, a half bath with a shower: shower is run off a small water heater but if you are quick you wont run out of hot water. Towels are available.

The bunkhouse was built from lots of recycled materials, from the deck boards to the 2x4 wall. You will understand when you see “Fafa Land” (a collection of recycled items for upcoming projects) which make coming here an adventure in itself.
I have a large family that comes for Thanksgiving and other family gathering so my dad, who all the grand kids call "Fafa" thought we needed the space. It's a bit crowed with 27 people in the house so that is how the bunkhouse came about.

If you are lucky enough to meet "Fafa" you will never be the same. He is a man of many stories and can build anything, you will see some of his work just being here. You won't believe the space of this 12X40 area. Along with his amazing swing he built from recycled materials.

Guest are welcome to the deck area, anywhere there is outdoor furniture, and you don't want to miss watching the sunset and enjoy the fire pit to make s’mores or just sit outside and listen to the crickets and enjoying the quiet of the country. The American flag gliders are great for watching the world go by day or night.

Other things to note
20 miles to Oklahoma City, Bricktown, NBA Thunder, Cowboy Hall of Fame, and the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial. Several Wineries in the area, even an Irish pub with in 6 miles. The historical Route 66, the Round Barn and Pops are not far from us. Great country roads for motorcycle and all the stars your eyes can see, along with lightening bugs or just enjoy the peaceful view. Also The Old Chicken Barn sale in Jones is great!

BBQ on the deck, or full kitchen for cooking. Stacked washer/dryer, central air conditioning and heat, microwave, pod coffee maker...but you'll have to wash your own dishes (hey - you have to have SOMETHING to remind you that you're "roughing it"!)

Other things to note
1) There are some fun outings if you want to drive to see them. Winding Stairs Trail in the Ouachita State Forest is just south of Wister State Park. The Runestone in Heavener is surrounded by a wonderful park with picnic tables and easy walking trails. The Spiro Mounds and Robber's Cave are both less than an hour away.
2) This is not a "plugged in" kind of place. We did finally break down and get Wi-Fi, but there’s no guarantee on what kind of access speeds you’ll get. There is a TV with DISH, but if you want to stream video, this probably isn’t the place for you. The internet provider claims you can, but I wouldn’t count on it. Also, most cell providers get at least "ok" service (e.g., we get very good reception with Verizon), but some guests are not able to get cell service in or around the cabin. Please PLAN AHEAD and assume you might not have cell or internet access. There are lots of board games, puzzles and a few books, if you remember what those are. :)

As guests, your group will have this entire cozy cabin all to yourselves. This includes comfy bedrooms, cozy living spaces tastefully decorated furnishings, and fun indoor/outdoor amenities. There is so much to do just at the cabin, you won't want to leave!

Other things to note
ACCESS: Check in is at 4pm and checkout is at 10am. We are not able to accommodate early or late checkins/outs during busy times or same day checkins/outs for guests. The cabin features self-checkin using an electronic smart lock keypad. A unique door code will be provided at least 48 hours before check-in.

RULES
✔ No more than the max number of guests allowed at the cabin based on the reservation.
✔ Quiet hours are from 10pm to 9am in respect of other surrounding cabins.
✔ Avoid the use of hair dyes, hair coloring and other products that could stain linens.
✔ No fireworks, candles or discharging of firearms allowed.
✔ If the cabin is left excessively dirty it could require an additional cleaning fee.
✔ An adult of at least 18 years old must supervise all kids around the hot tub and fire features.

DAMAGE WAIVER OR DEPOSIT: As part of the reservation, we do require a damage waiver fee charged or damage deposit.

RENTAL AGREEMENT: We ask guests to sign a rental agreement for their reservation.

RECOMMENDATIONS: We encourage all guests to purchase rental insurance should something unexpected come up and impact your stay. We must follow our refund policy.

NO SMOKING: or use of fire permitted in the rental. Guest acknowledges that no “smoking” includes the use of vape pens and marijuana and “use of fire” includes lighting of candles, incense or sage. There will be a $500 charge if this rule is not followed.

SECURITY CAMERAS: Renters acknowledge and accept that the property is monitored by outdoor security cameras to protect the cabin.

PETS: Pets are allowed with a small fee that is charged at booking.

NOTICE: All guests at the cabin agree to hold the property owner and all contractors harmless from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from or related to the use of the cabin. This includes, but is not limited to, any injuries, accidents, or losses that may occur on the property. Renters acknowledge that they are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their guests while on the premises. The property owner and contractors shall not be held liable for any incidents or damages resulting from the use of the cabin, its amenities, or the surrounding area, except under gross negligence or willful misconduct.

WILDLIFE & NATURE: We have a regular pest control service that maintains the grounds. However, as we are located in a rural area, potential guests should be aware that local flora and fauna, including snakes, lizards, deer, bears, raccoons, spiders, ladybugs, wasps, bees, rabbits, excessive pollen, poison ivy/oak, chiggers, beetles, field mice, ants, cockroaches, squirrels, opossums, flies, coyotes, moths, and butterflies, may be present. Despite our strict pest control and cleaning regimen, some native wildlife may still make their presence known. Because the cabin is in the forest, we cannot guarantee you won't see some of these. We appreciate your understanding!

Spacious, serene. 1 acre . Huge covered decks - front and back - this cedar cabin is rustic on the outside, modern on the inside. Backs up to thousands of acres of Kiamichi Mountain timber land, East of Nashoba, near the Little River and the Three Rivers Wildlife Area. Honobia, Home of Bigfoot, is 16 miles away. It's 15 miles to the town of Clayton - also nearby is The Talimena Scenic Drive, The Winding Stair National Monument, plus state and national parks. It’s a hiker’s paradise!

The space
This cabin is newer for Airbnb. Spacious covered decks, wood floors throughout, luxury bedding. 2 baths, fireplace, kitchen stocked with amenities, propane grill, fire ring, Satellite Internet/WIFI, a view of the Milky Way! This place is very peaceful. We also own the unoccupied 10 acres across the road. Ample parking for trailers. Gated and fenced. 52 miles from Broken Bow, less to Hochatown or Smithville. Talihina Scenic Trail nearby. Honobia, Home of Bigfoot, is 16 miles.
This is built to be exactly what we would want and expect if traveling to a getaway.

This is a wilderness area. So plan accordingly. Cell phone may not work…Walmart is 75 miles away. Starbucks is even further!
Pushmataha County is the 6th largest land mass county in OK at over 1,400 sq miles and has a population of less than 11,000 people. That’s like 7 people per square mile. Compare that to 4,000 people per sq mile in the city.

Deer Run is the perfect place for a peaceful getaway in the country. Our cabin sits on eight acres with a pond. Watch the deer forage in the field, take in a beautiful sunset from the large covered back porch, or sit and visit around the fire pit. There are also many back roads to explore. We are just a short drive to public hunting land, several beautiful lakes/state parks, and some great restaurants! We are also just 50 miles from the Talimena National Scenic Byway!

The space
Small, quaint cabin with three cozy/comfy bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen with bar seating(no dining table), living area with couch, loveseat and TV, two full bathrooms each with tub/shower, and a washer/dryer laundry area in the hallway. You can enjoy spending time out on our large covered back porch or sitting around the firepit, watching the wildlife or a beautiful sunset. If you love to fish, take a stroll up to our pond. This is a great place to enjoy the great outdoors!

Welcome to our boho-chic A-frame, where rustic charm meets modern convenience, all framed by breathtaking mountain views. Our space is designed for relaxation and adventure, boasting an open-concept living area with vaulted ceilings and large windows that fill the room with natural light and the beauty of the surrounding nature. NOTE: There are two a-frames on the property. This a-frame is the one that sits the farthest off the road.

The living room invites you to unwind with a plush sofa with a queen sleeper, a selection of board games, and a smart TV for your entertainment. Step into our fully equipped kitchen, where you'll find everything you need to whip up a delicious meal, including modern appliances and a dining table perfect for four.

Our A-frame features one lofted bedroom with a comfortable King-sized bed and soft linens, ensuring a restful night's sleep under the stars. The bathroom is stocked with all the toiletries and fluffy towels, offering a refreshing rain shower after a day of exploration.

The Back Forty water, due to its remote location is from a Private well. The water is filtered but at times it might have an odor. In most cases running the faucet for 5 minutes at the beginning of your stay should solve the issue.

Outside, the covered patio provides the perfect setting for morning coffee or evening stargazing. Gather around the fire pit to roast marshmallows or just soak in the serene mountain views. There is also a camp-style charcoal grill as well.

We want to ensure you have the best experience while staying with us, especially for those who appreciate the night sky. To keep light pollution to a minimum and enhance your stargazing opportunities, we've limited outdoor lighting to a motion-detected light covering the front door area. However, we understand the importance of visibility and safety, so we've provided flashlights and small LED lanterns for your convenience.

Special amenities include high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi to keep you connected. Plus, enjoy the convenience of onsite parking, not only for your vehicle but if you have an ATV or a boat we have space to accommodate that as well.

Since we are located in the heart of nature we don't allow pets. We do this for their safety and the safety of the surrounding animals that call the back forty their home. You might see deer, turkeys, and on rare occasions a bear or bald eagle. ( Note: We have only seen bear tracks once, just FYI) Along with nature comes some bugs as well.

Back Forty A-Frames is more than just a place to stay—it's a peaceful retreat where you can truly connect with nature and each other.

Bug spray and sunscreen are recommended. We provide a fully equipped kitchen (starter set of pots/pans, plates & cutlery, drinking glasses, cooking utensils, coffee maker, Coffee, standard appliances, salt/pepper/cooking oil, paper towels, foil) so be sure to pack your favorite foods/drinks. All bathroom toiletries are provided including bath towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and toilet paper. Linens and bedding. Grills are charcoal, so bring a bag with you. There are piles of cleared wood that can be used in the firepit, please only use that wood or wood you have purchased in the firepits. Fires are not allowed if the county is in a burn ban.

Entire A-Frame: Enjoy the comfort and privacy of the entire A-frame, including the lofted bedroom, living area, kitchen, and bathroom. It’s all yours to relax in and explore.

Outdoor Amenities: The patio, fire pit, and any outdoor seating areas are open for your enjoyment. Whether it’s morning coffee with a view or an evening under the stars, these spaces are designed for your pleasure. We are located on 40 acres so you can roam around on foot as much as you like. Go down by the pond or hike around the property. Our land is surrounded by fences so please if you go exploring don't cross any fence lines. In the guidebook, we have a map so you can see the area better.

Parking: A dedicated parking spot is available for your convenience, ensuring easy access to the property at all times. If you need additional space for a boat or ATV parking, we have space to accommodate that as well. We just ask that you don't block any driveways. In the guidebook, we have highlighted these extra parking areas.

Tech and Wi-Fi: High-speed Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the A-frame, and you’re welcome to use the smart TV and any other tech amenities provided. We also have a Bluetooth indoor speaker that you can connect to as well

e a r l y / l a t e: We may be able to offer early check-in or late check-out (2 additional hours) for $50 unless there is another reservation within 24 hours of your reservation. This must be requested and approved by your SkyRun host! We compensate our team additional funds for accommodating guest requests and coordinating their daily schedules and/or working after hours to help make this happen for our valued guests. Fee is collected after the reservation confirmation has been sent.
F i r e p l a c e s : Fireplaces are free to be enjoyed seasonally October 1st through April 30th. You are welcome to use the outdoor wood burning fire pit year round! No cooking or roasting marshmallows in any fireplaces, but please roast away on those wood burning fire pits! Tampering or turning on fireplaces outside of the seasonal window will result in fines.
WIFI AVAILABILITY: Wi-Fi is provided as a complimentary convenience for our guest; however, it is not considered an essential part of the rental. Refunds will not be issued for Wi-Fi-related issues including connectivity, speed, local outages, or accessibility.
