The main bedroom is a quiet sanctuary with a top quality queen mattress and linen. You'll never want to get up. There is more storage than you'll ever need.

The front room when you walk directly into the house is easily converted into a second bedroom as it has a comfortable fold-out sofa/daybed (double-sized that comfortably sleeps two) and its own writing desk and ornamental fireplace.

The house has a cosy, private courtyard and a verandah, both great for soaking in the morning sun and offering shady retreats in the afternoon.

Attfield has a high quality kitchen to tempt you to try a few new recipes. It has a Bosch dishwasher, full-size stainless steel fridge, microwave and all the kitchen equipment you need.

HISTORY:
Originally built in 1858 to house the Fremantle Prison Warders and their families, 165 years later the cottages were taken over by the WA Heritage Council and restored back to their original condition but now including up-to-spec electricity and plumbing.

Each cottage was then sold to private owners who have added their style to complete the renovation. None so much as this one which has had no expense spared in parts and in other parts reflects its owners quirky style. You will not be disappointed.

Incidentally, if you're an AC/DC or Bon Scott fan you'll be interested to know that Bon was a regular visitor to this cottage when he was a local Freo boy - more on that story in our historical notes inside the cottage.

Enter through the front gate onto the shady verandah, through the front door directly into the warm living room. The funky and stylish kitchen overlooks the front and has all mod cons including a built in dishwasher, hidden microwave & Nespresso coffee maker.

We've moved the dining out onto the shaded back verandah overlooking the stunning garden, to make way for your own private yoga/fitness room.

Also downstairs is the spacious laundry bathroom with 2nd shower and loo. You’ll find all new top brand appliances, inc washing machine, dryer and Dyson vacuum.

Upstairs you'll find the master bedroom to the front, resplendent with its Queen Size 4 poster bed and the most luxurious of en-suite bathrooms, and private doorway to the front upstairs verandah.
The small 2nd bedroom also has a Double 4-poster bed with the upstairs landing area used as a 2nd sitting room and dressing area for either bedroom.

For each and every guest, all bedlinen and towels are included in the cost, down to the clean pillow protectors and the mattress protectors on each bed.

NOISE
Freo gets very busy at weekends and there is a lot of noise out the front.
Earplugs are supplied.
You’ll be amazed how peaceful the back garden is though.

CITY CENTRE NOISE

Henderson St is mostly pedestrianised in the centre of Fremantle. Non market days (Mon - Thu) are the quietest days. Conversely Fri, Sat and Sun are busy days and nights with potential for lots of activity and noise. Be prepared to experience central Freo as it happens.
