"Tigh na Meala" is the Irish for "House of honey" which was the original name of this two-storey cottage, stunningly situated on the Atlantic coast 10 min outside of Dingle town in the direction of Feothanach, Ballydavid and Brandon Creek. There are three bedrooms, one with a double bed( master), one with a bunk bed (two singles) and one with a double bed and single bunk (sleeps 7 total). The beautifully renovated farm house has a large kitchen and living room with a traditional fireplace including the original antique iron crane (see photo). There is a cosy bathroom downstairs with bath/shower and a toilet upstairs as well. The breathtaking view from the front of the house looks directly out on Smerwick Harbour to the south and to the West lie the Three Sisters and the Atlantic horizon. To the east is Ireland's second highest mountain, Mt. Brandon, climbed by Celtic/Christian pilgrims since the early Middle Ages. Also visible in the distance are the hills of Great Blasket Island. Torc mountain was really beautiful and we had a great time discovering Killarney's town." - "Both Tim and Bernadette were so welcoming and helpful during the whole week. We met the family dogs, Teddy and Maize which was the highlight of my kids' trip. Teddy would bark at our door during dinner to come in and visit. We lost our dog back in May, so these visits were so fun for us. The courtyard is absolutely gorgeous! We had more than enough room for the 4 of us. The beds were very comfortable, and having the 2 bathrooms was convenient. Having the kitchen was wonderful. We bought our groceries for the week at Matco, a gas station that has a Centra in it. Many fresh food options -we have food allergies and easily found things to cook. It was VERY nice to have a washer and dryer on site, as it rained everyday. We did not rent a car on our stay, but were able to walk everywhere. It is the perfect middle point between the city and the national park. One day we rented bikes and toured the whole national park, which was one of our favorite things. My kids are 19 and 21, so the walks into town were just fine for us. One day my husband and I took the path Bernadette showed us, and were able to walk to the Ross Castle. We explored the city, shopped, and experienced the different pubs Bernadette recommended. We hired a driver for 2 days to explore other day trips. We made our 1st peat fire ever, which helped us stay toasty warm. There isn't cable TV, but pack some DVDs as there is a player. We used the Wifi to stream our own entertainment by the fire. A wonderful place to stay!"

Cosy cottage in country side setting 2/3 miles from the sandy beaches of the Wild Atlantic Way for swimming and long relaxing walks. The nearby (10 minutes) seaside town of Ballybunion has lots to offer, bars, restaurants, two championship golf courses, swimming pool and health center. Central location for day trips to Killarney, Dingle, Ring of Kerry, Limerick, Clare, Cliffs of Moher via Tarbert ferry. Shannon Airpoprt is one hour, thirty minutes away and Kerry airport is one hour away.

Isabelle Cottage is a traditional Irish cottage a five-minute drive from the vibrant town of Killarney. It is situated just off the Ring of Kerry with stunning views over the mountains and lakes. The cottage is located in the beautiful area of Aghadoe. The Gap of Dunloe can be seen from the cottage. One of Ireland's most popular restaurants is at the bottom of the road and there are many superb restaurants in Killarney. Killarney Brewery is also very close and this has an excellent restaurant.

There is no bath but we knew that from the description. The occupants of the second bedroom upstairs have to walk through the main bedroom to reach the bathroom . Not a bother for us but could be awkward if you don’t know each other well! There is a downstairs loo as well. Cottage was well equipped to self cater. Good quality bedding. Off road parking. Ideal for exploring the local sights by car. The cottage is old so expect steep stairs and some low headroom . Floors are uneven but that’s the sort of thing to be expected in old buildings. Our courtyard cottage is ideally located just 1.5 miles south of Killarney town centre on the Muckross Road. We adjoin the Killarney National Park with direct access to the Lake shore and park trails. Restaurants, pubs and a small supermarket are only a few minutes walk away. Peacefully located on 30 acres of private grounds. The cottage has a view of the lakes to the front and parkland to the rear. Large rooms, modern kitchen private patio. Note, this cottage does not have level access. It may not be suitable for young children.

We had our car broken into in Dublin and then we had gotten a flat tire out in Portmagee right when we were supposed to come check in and she made us feel like everything would be ok. (And it was!) It appears the cleaners do a good job of cleaning, but there dirty placemats in the drawer and a mishmash of dishes and glasses. Considering it lists room for eight, outside there is a bistro set for 2 and a bench. Brochures are extremely old and could do with a clean out. It would be helpful to have instructions for the heating and cooking as boilers are totally foreign to North Americans."

We do have another ensuite bedroom listed so you may be having your continental breakfast in company downstairs in our family dining room.

Rowandale Cottage is uniquely placed on the Wild Atlantic Way where the Kerry Way and Beara Way meet, just outside the bustling town of Kenmare. The surrounding area is filled with diverse hiking routes, forests and white sandy beaches. The cottage was recently built, with a fully fitted kitchen, adjacent to a comfortable seating area and a small, yet fully fitted bathroom. On the first floor is a cosy living room and bedroom with a stunning view down the valley.

The space
Rowandale Cottage has its own private patio, parking space and entrance which creates private space to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Rowandale Cottage and Rowandale House (where Jan and Shirley live) share a large courtyard. In the courtyard there is a little sun-trap where the bbq and another seating area has been set up to enjoy.

If you enjoy a fresh fish bbq it is highly recommend to get a fresh Salmon or Monkfish at the local fish stall on Wednesdays or Fridays, perfect for bbq'ing if the weather turns out well. Also don't miss Kenmare's well known Wednesday Market with fresh local vegetable, food and craft stalls.

A small part of the Cottage is private and has been devoted to Shirley's natural skincare products for her mother-daughter run business called Lanolia.

You will see many medicinal herbs, vegetables and bee-pollinator flowers growing around in the garden-farm surrounding Rowandale Cottage, as Jan is an avid horticulturist and teaches Organic Horticulture as well.

You will need a car or bicycle to visit Rowandale Cottage and enjoy the surrounding areas.

It takes around 10 minutes by car to reach Rowandale Cottage from the nearest town, Kenmare. Ballygriffin, the road on which Rowandale garden-farm is located, is narrow and steep, so you will need to take your time. Only 1 car can pass at a time, so you may need to reverse to the closest lay-by.

You can park beside Rowandale Cottage. A large courtyard which sits between Rowandale Cottage and Rowandale House gives plentiful parking.

Other things to note
Rowandale Cottage and Rowandale House are located on a peaceful mountainside garden-farm, 5km from Kenmare and half way up a cul-de-sac road called Ballygriffin. This road ends in a horseshoe shaped valley.

The Ballygriffin road is only used by our neighbours, and the occasional tourist, it is a small, single lane road that curves up the valley and provides a lovely walking opportunity on your very doorstep.

Even though you will need a car or bicycle to get around the area, you can walk all the way down into Kenmare town from Rowandale, the majority of the walk is either our quiet road, or a footpath as you enter the town. There is only a short 100m stretch of main road that you have to walk without a footpath.
Walking back up to the cottage can be strenuous as it is rather steep at the beginning, so it is more suited to those who enjoy a good hike.

Kenmare town is situated 10mins drive from Rowandale, it a quaint and bustling town in the summer months. It is well known for its high quality restaurants, vibrant street market, colourful houses, as well as the nature in the region.

When the sun shines, it is absolute paradise. When it rains (and that it does often) there are some lovely sheltered gardens and forests to walk through.

Newly refurbished new to Airbnb and located overlooking Derrymore Beach with fabulous views across the bay to Fenit Lighthouse and all the way along the coast to Brandon point. The Kerry Way walking trail is just a step away and it is an ideal location for a short or extended getaway.

The newly renovated cottage is heated by a modern, eco friendly air to water system that has underfloor heating and constant hot water. This makes it ideal for visitors at any time of the year.

Cosy cottage in country side setting 2/3 miles from the sandy beaches of the Wild Atlantic Way. Ideal for swimming and long relaxing walks. The nearby (10 minutes drive) seaside town of Ballybunion has lots to offer, bars, restaurants, two golf courses, swimming pool and health centre. Central location for day trips to Killarney, Dingle, Ring of Kerry, Limerick, Clare, Cliffs of Moher via Tarbert ferry. Shannon Airport is one hour, thirty minutes away and Kerry Airport is one hour away.

The space
I have hired help with cleaning and have introduced a modest cleaning fee €30.

The house has a spacious well equipped kitchen with electric cooker, dish washer, fridge and dining table. The utility has a washing machine, iron and ironing board. The lounge has two sofas, oak coffee table, flat screen TV and log stove. The toilet has both a bath and shower, shaving light and socket. There are three bedrooms, two doubles and one twin.

Outside has secure yard with garden furniture, flower bed/rockery and ample parking.

The space
The cottage has a classic white painted exterior, and inside is immaculately decorated with slate, tile and wooden flooring, with tasteful artwork on the walls and other decorative touches. You’ll spend much of your time in the roomy open-plan living space, where multiple windows ensure you can admire those fantastic views whether you’re lounging with a book, eating or watching TV. Thanks to a warming wood burner, you can all stay cosy as you relax together. Three double bedrooms await tired heads and the bathroom can be shared between all guests. The patio is equipped with garden furniture so you can make the most of good weather, perhaps soaking in those panoramic views with a coffee in hand.


You won’t need to venture far to explore natural wonders, such as the 6-mile-long sandy expanse of Inch Strand (2.5 miles) which stretches out through Dingle Bay. Bass fishing, surfing and bird watching are all possible here. The nearest pub and restaurant are just 2 miles away, with further options in Annascaul (7 miles). Head to Milltown (12.5 miles) for horse riding and don’t miss the opportunity to visit the vibrant and bohemian town of Dingle (14 miles) to immerse yourself in the local culture, exploring eclectic shops and music venues.

Built in 1822 the beautifully restored Priory Coach House and Courtyard to The Priory. The Coach House has two floors with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, the downstairs is an open plan with wood burning stove, modern kitchen, spiral staircase to the bedrooms. Very charming and cozy. Walking distance from the town centre. Set on the door step of Killarney National Park. The cottages are tucked into a very beautiful and quite walled courtyard setting.

The space
We are in a key location, a 15 minute walk from town but it feels like we are in the heart of the countryside where you cannot hear a sound by night.
You will get a quiet private house to yourself where you can come and go as you please. You can cook when you want and have the full use of the 1.5 acre property on private grounds. You can sit back and relax in the front of the open hearth fire sipping a nice Irish whiskey or reading a good book with the sweet smell of turf burning away.
This cottage has a Jacuzzi you can slip into and soothe the soul after a hectic day.
You will get the real feel of Irish living and live like we live ourselves while visiting in your home away from home.

Welcome to The Cottage at Acumeen Farm, a quaint 1 bedroom cottage situated on a regenerative farm on the Dingle Peninsula - just minutes away from Castlegregory, miles of pristine beaches and many mountain walks. Get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, and relax for a few days or more in our private, cozy cottage. You'll enjoy views of the sea, mountains and sheep grazing in one of the nearby fields. Stay here to discover one of the most remarkable and beautiful corners of Ireland.

The space
We spent months renovating this quaint yet modern one bedroom cottage, and hope you'll feel most at home during your stay.

The cottage is comfortably furnished with a large sofa, dining table, desk for working or writing and good sized kitchen (featuring full fridge & freezer / gas hob / oven / cooking utensils). There is one bedroom with a queen bed with under-bed storage, and views of the sheep fields and mountains behind.

Overnight storage heaters help to keep the cottage warm if needed, but you'll need to fire up the wood stove with the supplied firewood to stay especially cozy. If you need some tips on starting or keeping the fire going, just ask.

There is one basic, large bathroom that has a heated electric shower, toilet and sink. The rest of the cottage has been recently renovated, but the bathroom is still on our list. Nevertheless it's fully functional - simply lacking the level of comfort you'll find in the rest of the cottage.

The private cottage is set on a 40 acre working farm with sheep, native Dexter cattle and laying hens. Also on the property are old stone sheds, a traditional farmyard and a new house we have just recently built and moved into. We would prefer you not roam the fields for your safety.

We have just finished building a new house on the farm. We reside here with our two children. The perspective of the cottage is away from the new house and you still enjoy total privacy. We afford you plenty of privacy to do your own thing including self check in. If you do need us though, we are only a message away.

this beautiful cottage is situated in the Irish country side but still is only 3 miles from the popular tourist town of Killarney , the nearby town has many restaurants, shops and bars and their is plenty of evening entertainment , The cottage is also only a 10 minute drive from muckross house and torc waterfall. The space
The cottage was built prior to 1840. It is recorded, along with 8 other cottages in this area, on the ordinance survey of 1840/41. It is the only one remaining.
A laborers dwelling, it would have had lower thatch roof, sash windows, yawning hearth with crane and a ladder to the loft.
Now the roof has been raised to allow standing room upstairs, accessed by the teak spiral staircase. A solid fuel stove sits in what remains of the hearth. A fully equipped kitchen area, electric shower room and living area comprise accommodation downstairs and loft bedroom with futon double bed is upstairs. The 2 roof windows on the back roof allow more light in and the evening light illuminates the colours of the stain glass window in the door
The cottage sits on its own .3 acre site with patio area.
The shed at the rear houses washing machine.
On site parking to the front of the building.

Guest access
Guests has sole use of the entire cottage, patio and shed. A pony is sometimes grazing in paddock to the front

The solid fuel stove is set for you to light for your enjoyment and enough fuel for 1-2 fires. Cold ashes can be put in ashes bucket in the shed.

The Loft is set on the door step of Killarney National Park. The cottage was meticulously restored in 2004 and will offer you a retreat in style and comfort. This 3 bedroom cottage is tucked into a very beautiful and quite walled courtyard setting.
Killarney town centre is 1 km or a 12 minute stroll, in the opposite direction over the river you are immediately upon a pedestrian way snaking its way 2km into Killarney's 11,000 acre National Park, Muckross House & Gardens.

Bells Cottage is a charming traditional Kerry farmhouse set in six acres of private grounds, twenty minutes walk from the shores of Caragh Lake. Cosy, bright and friendly, with beautiful secluded gardens, it's the perfect base from which to explore.

The space
Bells Cottage is a traditional Kerry farmhouse lovingly restored maintaining its original charm and character.

With open fireplace and central heating, tasteful furniture and beautiful original paintings, it provides a homely retreat with the highest level of comfort.

The kitchen has built-in units in old pine, an old dresser, table and chairs and a comfortable armchair - the perfect place to cook and savour delicious local foods.

There are two bedroom upstairs - one en-suite double with two push-together singles and a further double with two singles. The beds are of excellent quality. There's an additional shower room off the landing. Particular attention has been paid to low allergen materials.

The cottage is set in six acres of private grounds with beautiful secluded gardens that are yours to enjoy. Some of the land is wild woodland - great for blackberry picking in the autumn and watching hares bounce around in spring.
