We are located at V93 XY01 on a country road with no footpath or lighting. Use of a car or taxi is advisable. The Guest house has a patio seating area and all guests rooms have scenic views of woodland or river. The bedrooms are individually decorated and all have private bathrooms / wet rooms, walk in showers with toiletries and bathrobes. Rooms also offer satellite TV, WiFi and seating area. The owner met us at the door and showed us upstairs to our choice of two available rooms, both more than equal to our needs. He brought us a liter bottle of fresh water and visited a few minutes, explaining where to find coffee, tea and ice. Our home provides the following-Ground Floor , entrance hall, two living rooms - the first is just off the main hall, an inviting, large, spacious living area, which displays magnificent beams, oil fired central heating and a homely, wood burning stove with Satellite TV.
Our second living room is a cosy room just off the kitchen. It has an open fire and oil fired central heating.
There is a spacious sunroom just off the kitchen where guests can enjoy our idyllic views from sunrise to sunset.

Main bathroom is downstairs, it has a heated towel rail, luxurious jetted bath-tub, a shower and toilet.

Bedroom One is on the ground floor. It has a double bed,and a bathroom with a walk-in curbless shower. There are panoramic lake and mountain views from this bedroom which are a pleasure to wake up to.

The house has a large spacious bright kitchen/diner which is well equipped with top of the range appliances, high class fitted kitchen with a separate laundry room. Large table and chairs seats 8 people. There is a wonderful wood-burning stove in which to cosy up to in the long evenings. Everything is brand new as this property is being let for the first time. All the bedrooms are en-suite, with wooden floors in each bedroom. The Master bedroom has a king size bed, bed lockers, and a walk in wardrobe with full length mirror and loads of storage, along with a dressing table and stool.
The ground floor bedroom has its own en-suite and has wheel-chair access.

If you want to go further you would not be in Kerry without visiting Dingle, on the way stop off at Inch Beach, where surfers, locals and those who have heard of the strand's breathtaking views come together.
Brave the Blaskets if you dare. Take the Slea Head drive from Dingle and go the the long way round through Ventry and past Paidi O Shea's pub. Suddenly you come to the sight of the three Blasket Islands in all their glory. Down in Dunquin, you can take a boat from the pier to the Great Blasket, where the echoes of Peig Sayers still ring around the deserted houses and stonewalls.

Set in 40 acres of woodland overlooking the River Laune, 10 minutes from Killarney and just off the Ring of Kerry, Beaufort is an historic Georgian House, built in 1760 by the De Moleyns family around the ruins of a Coolmagort Castle, which was built in the 16th century and was attacked in 1653, the west wall being demolished. The three remaining walls of the old castle now form the hallway of the House which makes it probably the oldest inhabited space in Kerry

If you look carefully on the walls you will find a print of Edmund Ludlow, the Cromwellian General responsible for knocking down the wall of the castle and signatory of the Death Warrant of King Charles the First, whose portrait hangs over the fireplace. He is hung upside down as a punishment.
The Red Dining Room is a great place for formal or informal dinners. The table seats up to 16 people and additional tables are available to seat up to 30. It has a Georgian chimneypiece and is hung with family portraits. The dark red walls make it a wonderfully romantic setting by candlelight. The Hallway, formed from the walls of the 16th century castle, is a great setting for musical evenings with groups of local musicians..

We are 10 minutes from Killarney, which has excellent restaurants and shopping facilities on the edge of the National Park, and only minutes from the Gap of Dunloe. We have two golf courses - Beaufort and the Championship courses at Killarney - within 10 minutes drive and all the historic golf courses - Waterville, Tralee Ballybunnion and the Old Head of Kinsale are within easy reach.

The town itself is picturesque and offers an exhaustive selection of bars, hotels, restaurants and shopping experiences. Tralee the County Town is world renowned as home to the Rose of Tralee International Festival. It is also home to our national Folk Theatre, Siamsa Tíre. The town also boasts an aquadome and wetlands. Kerry's County Museum is to be found in Tralee town centre. Whilst on the outskirts of the town is Manor Shopping Centre. Castleisland a traditional Irish market town and Killorglin (home to Puck Fair) are both just down the road from Farrranfore.

- "Marie really had a vision for this place and it paid off -- she transformed a former family-owned pub into an inviting apartment. The place was spotless and even had a beautiful garden/patio area. The town on Farranfore doesn't have a lot to offer but it was centrally located for daily road trips, which is why we chose it. Marie's place is in the center of this busy hub (roads on 2 sides of the property) so it was a bit loud during the day but we were out anyway so it didn't matter much. Everything quieted down at night. Marie was really the star of this whole show. She is a delight and was so informative about where to go and ideas of things to do. She sent us to a delicious restaurant with spectacular views (Brasserie at the Europe) and it made for a very memorable evening. She also came to our assistance in a time of crisis -- we 'lost' one of our passports which showed up under the bed at the pub and she was nice enough to mail it to us and avert at least part of the disaster that ensued when we began canceling the next leg of our vacation. Thank you, Marie!! Herlihy's kicked off our first 5 days in Ireland with a happy bang!"

Ours is a Community Holiday Hostel it is a short drive ( 10 min) to restaurants and beaches. You’ll love the place because of the beautiful landscape, outdoors space, the ambiance, the neighbourhood, high standard of the Hostel area. Its great for couples, solo adventurers, walking, school and any type of groups, families . The space
The Community Hostel is situated in a Gaeltacht area 8 km's from the N70 Ring of Kerry Road and is close to the Kerry Way walking route that passes through the valley. It has 4 ensuite family rooms which has double bed and twin bunk in each of the rooms. There is also 2 seven bed dormitories. We can keep 26 people comfortably and extra beds can be added if needed. There is plenty free parking and a state of the art sports hall which is free to residents.

The pubs have lots of traditional music and Tech Amergin in Waterville host many shows, films etc.

Welcome to our peaceful country home, just 5 minutes from Kerry Airport and halfway between Killarney and Tralee, an ideal base for exploring the Ring of Kerry and Dingle.

Your accommodation includes a large, comfortable room with a double bed, bedside lockers, a chest of drawers, table and chairs, and a television. Tea and coffee-making facilities are provided in the room for your convenience.

The private bathroom is located just next door and includes fresh towels and toiletries. The guest space is accessed via a small hallway, giving it a sense of privacy and separation from the rest of our home. All guest areas are on the ground floor.

Kitchen access is available only by prior arrangement when booking and is not available after 8pm.

This is our full-time family home, and there's almost always someone here to greet you and help you settle in. If, for any reason, we’re not available at your arrival time, we’ll be in touch with detailed self check-in instructions.

We share our home with two friendly dogs, who love meeting new people. On guests arrival the dogs are always indoors. If guests are uncomfortable with our dogs, we will do our best to accommodate them by keeping the dogs inside while guests are outside. We fully respect that some people do not like or feel comfortable around dogs.

We live in a rural location so it is best to have your own transport as the nearest bus/train links are in Farranfore village ( 2.2km away) If you choose to walk be mindfull that part of that walk is up a steep hill. There are also no footpaths or street lighting, so night time walking is dangerous.
Airport, bus and train collections, and drop-off can be arranged with local taxi drivers if needed, just let us know well in advance.

Care should also be taken when traveling on our road. The road is narrow and because our area is mainly an agricultural community, it is possible to meet heavy machinery while traveling on it or even come across the odd traffic jam caused by cows heading for their twice daily milking, especially during the summer months.

Our house is in a quiet, rural setting in a farming community, surrounded by fields and close to a quiet road that takes you into the thriving town of Killarney which is 10-15 mins drive away.. We have beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and from the main road you can see the amazing McGillicuddy Reeks mountains and the lakes of Killarney. There are lovely walks on our doorstep with great views of the mountains.

The space
I am an English widow, Debbie, and myself and my husband came to live in Killarney after retirement. I now have 4 cats and a dog who are all very friendly. I also foster kittens so there can be quite a few animals in the house depending on the time of the year. There are no stairs. The bed is a double bed but not a king size. The private dedicated bathroom containing a spa bath, shower, toilet and sink, is next door to the bedroom. (not en-suite). We have a large garden where you are welcome to sit and have your morning coffee or afternoon tea.
