THE BURREN NATIONAL PARK
Only 16km from the house. A vast limestone area with its own unique ecosystem which supports unique flora and wildlife. Internationally known for its geological features, this is a spiritual and magical place set on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean - definitely worth a visit FOR HILL WALKING AND HIKING.

AILLWEE CAVES
While in the area, you can visit the Aillwee caves with its famous interpretive centre. While there you can tour the caves, discovered in the 1950's. Gives a fascinating insight into geology of the area and is a fun, exciting, and an educational trip for children.

ARAN ISLANDS
A trip to Aran Islands can be easily fitted into your schedule while staying at the house. A direct ferry can be taken from Doolin, 30 mins from the house. The islands are a unique view of Irish culture and heritage where you can experience traditional rural ways of Irish life, crafts, language (gaelic), music song and dance, as well as primitive stone forts, dolmens, and old Christian churches.

BUNRATTY CASTLE & FOLK PARK
Burratty Castle and Folk Park is a great day out for all the family and if you decide to take in the Medieval Banquet hosted in the great Hall at the Castle each evening, complete with harpists and jesters. The Great Hall has a very fine collection of medieval artifacts, paintings, tapestries, and furniture dating back to 14th Century. The Folk Park adjacent to the Castle is a very fun and informative day out for all the family. It is wonderful showcase of rural life in days gone by Ireland where you can stroll down an authentic village.at Main St and visit places such as the post office, school house, farmer's cottage; meet the costume characters, taste some authentic Irish cooking.

IRISH MUSIC
Drop into any of the pubs on Main St Lahinch or Miltown Malbay on a summer's evening and you are bound to find yourself in the middle of an Irish music session. You will find your own favourites but here are some good ones in Lahinch! Corner Stone, Kenny', O'Brien's Kitchen. DOOLIN which is 15kms away has traditional music playing almost day and night and one of that most popular traditional music places in Ireland.

DINING
There is an array of excellent restaurants nearby. You even have Award Winning Barrtra Seafood Restaurant 200 yards from the house where you can dine and admire the wonderful sunsets and take the 3 minute stroll back to the house. Black Oak Restaurant is 10 minutes drive towards Milltown Malbay serves Irish traditional/informal cuisine. Lahinch offers Atlantic Hotel, Indian and Tandoori Restaurant and great pubs for wonderful food and Irish music. O'Looney's fine dining on the promenade in Lahinch overlooking the sea; O'Brien's pub on Main Street, The Copperstone; and Vaughan's Pub in Liscannor only 10 minutes away is one of the best seafood restaurants on the west coast.

A beautiful original country cottage that seeps history set in the country side yet only two miles from a busy little seaside town. The bedroom section is newly built and has the feel of a very modern space. The living area is open plan and spacious and ideal for spending time with friends in. There is a separate area for game playing or a quiet space to relax. The cottage has ample parking and a garden outside to relax in. The cottage is situation in such an ideal, quiet place with cows and horses in the fields around you – yes it is no trouble to pop to the shop if you have forgotten something.

It has been renovated with love and is a very special unique experience. It is a perfect mix of modern and the old days. It is in the heart of the countryside but also near a town. It has everything anyone would ever need.

Lahinch is a great town with many many pubs and restaurants and cafes and unique places. It also has a world wide reputation for surfing and a few lessons are highly recommended. It also boasts a world renowned golf course and the beach stretches it’s golden sand out in front of you for miles. The beach is lovely and there is a great playground for children on the beach. You are within easy distance of so many places to visit and see and still only half an hour from the airport.
You really need a car to stay in the cottage unless you are a very keen walker. However, there are many walks around the countryside and bike rides which are marked up too. There are tours in Lahinch which are easily accessible.

There is oil fired central heating and a wood burner in the kitchen. The house is very well insulated and very warm.

There are two flights of stairs in the house with some 8 steps to move from one level to another. You can avoid climbing the stairs (if you sleep on the ground floor) but you will not be able to avoid the 8 steps, (unless you go outside the house and round to the back) though they do have a handrail.

The apartment is decorated in cosy/funky style. The open plan living is laid out so that there are 3 distinct areas which guests can enjoy - TV, Dining, Reading (and also a small high table area for a drink or to catch up on some work). The double height skylight gives lovely light while also adding to the funky feel (think New York loft!). The location is amazing. 5 mins or less walk to beach, golf courses and all the village of Lahinch has to offer.
Lahinch is renowned worldwide for its beach, surfing and championship golf course, which are all less than 5 mins walk from the house. The food and drink offerings in the village have evolved over the last few years, where there now is something for every occasion to choose from. A drink and Irish trad session in Frawleys, buzzy bistro meal in The Edge, fine dining in Vaughan's on the Prom or a super Italian takeaway from the lovely Ravioli Verde are just some of our favourite things! If and when the weather is curtailing beach or golf activities, watching sport in the Nineteenth is always fun! While we like to park the car and not see it for days, for longer stays we will head to the Cliffs of Moher (10 mins) or Doolin (30 mins) and hop on a ferry to the beautiful, beautiful Aran Islands. The town of Ennistymon with its bourgeoning artisan food and vintage clothes scene is only 5 mins drive.
IMPORTANT: Stairs from street level to courtyard - approx. 12 wide steps. In the house there are 15 steps from living to sleeping levels.

While we are happy to host for just one night, many guests who have arrived for one night have said they wished they’d booked for 2 because there’s lots to see and enjoy and it’s nice to have time to relax

The space
Though adjoined to our home, The Garage is private and self contained.. There’s a sofa, Eir TV, Amazon Alexa and excellent WiFi . Kitchenette with small fridge, 2 ring electric hob, kettle and toaster. It’s not suitable for preparing a big dinner ! But fine to boil an egg! A welcome pack of bread, butter, cereal, eggs and yogurt is provided to start off your stay. There’s a comfortable 4’ 6” double bed. Also small en-suite shower and toilet with towels and toiletries provided.

Welcome and thank you for looking at our beautiful home nestled on the Wild Atlantic Way. Our home sits on our family farm. Here you can find peace & quiet over looking the beautiful Lahinch Beach. Travelling to all that County Clare's west coast has to offer is easily done from our location. A few miles away, you can walk the longest sand beaches in Ireland, marvel at the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher, take a ferry to the rugged Aran Islands or play golf at Lahinch Championship golf course.

Stay at my lovely cosy cottage. Where you will find peace and tranquillity with amazing views, and catch a couple amazing sunsets from kitchen window. Properly is surrounded by rolling hills. It is family friendly too, with space outside for playing and a selection of toys and books inside. It is located just outside Lahinch & on the wild Atlantic way, N67. It is an amazing location if you are around to surf, or play golf, or just relax for a few days, or of course just to do some sightseeing!

The space
A lovely cosy cottage recently newly renovated. Nestled within rolling hills and around the corner from a lovely private beach (Cregg!). Lahinch is a 3 minute drive away.
There are two bedrooms, 1x kingsized bed and one double. 1x spacious room and 1 cosy bedroom. A lovely open planned living/dining/kitchen. The nice cottage style kitchen is both charming and elegant. Attached to the kitchen is a small sun room where you can watch the sunrise and leads out to a back patio with bistro style furniture and washing line.
The internet is ROCK SOLID, making it an ideal place to work remotely!
At the front you have a couple stone tables to sit/eat. And at the back a patio with garden furniture. All in all an amazing tranquil and cosy place to stay.

There is a wild seaside garden surrounding the property full of native hedgerow shrubs, grasses and plants that can withstand the sea wind on our hillside and the bees love it 🐝 .

Please note that is not suitable for any children only small babies in cribs due to the spiral stair case.

There is a patio directly to the side of the apartment that guests are very welcome to use, sit out and enjoy the views.

Before booking please be aware that you have to park at the top of the property directly up outside the house in the parking area created for guests. We have our own two cars in the driveway which is very steep and any more cars would block us all in so we can’t have any more cars down there.🤩🤗

For your safety please walk down the driveway with all luggage. Please don’t walk down the stone steps with luggage as there is no railing. Be careful ❗️ 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Other things to note
After 11pm is quiet time for everyone😁😁😁 My family and I will be super careful to try not to be heard in our busy home after 11pm to ensure you have a peaceful, calm and restful stay. 🤞🙏

The best places to eat in the area are Vaughans on the Prom breathtaking sea view restaurant, Spooneys ice cream and fish and chips parlour in Lahinch and Vaughans Anchor Inn award winning Seafood restaurant in Liscannor 3.2 km away.
