I enjoyed the experience enough that I went and changed and moved to another one of their different rooms in their property so I can experience that too. I love that area of silver lake it's like coming home for me and I would highly recommend the space. They have other properties as well that I'm looking forward to being able to check out in the near future that are also very unique spots that shouldn't be missed I think. as far as hospitality and an experience goes they are top notch and providing that thank you so much. - "My stay was a good one. The family is warm and welcoming yet professional. The house is quite large and my rear of the house room (#5) was spacious, secure and comfortable. I am sensitive to noise and always travel with earplugs; they came in handy as the room is right beside the kitchen. Not terribly noisy, but noticeable to me without earplugs. I would absolutely stay again and am curious to see what the house is like in the busy season with more than two guests. (There was only one guest other than me during my stay, so it was very quiet.) Location is great, walking distance to many great restaurants and markets. Fantastic bagel spot on corner of Franklin Ave and Lincoln Place and great Caribbean food even closer. Unable to speak on transportation since I drove. As always, on the street parking in NYC is not fun with alternate side and no parking lots or decks in the neighborhood, so be warned! All things considered, it was a great stay."

When asking about general niceties and whatnot they were incredibly responsive and gave me a simple rundown of do's and don'ts. The hostel is in a very nice spot in the city surrounded by businesses and made it very easy to get back to late at night after a concert. The shower's have very nice pressure behind them and the toilets work well. As for bed's they were on the slightly harder side, however, I dont mind and almost prefer that surface instead. The Hostel offers nightly activities to get a community engaged, and althought it was a bar crawl and I could not participate it seems hypothetically very fun. As long with the other activities they have planned for the future. The common space is very open and I believe fosters conversation although I did not partake in any during my stay. The complimentary breakfast helps give an easy start to the day and is entirely appreciated as well with the supplied eggs which once again, I did not partake. I cannot recommend this hostel any more for nightly stay at a fantastic price in an incredibly expensive city."

- "It was my first time in a hostel and a great experience." - "What a wonderful experience! First time in a hostel, so this may be more a review against pre-conceived notions than prior experience, but that is what I have. Ease of check-in and out. It is just a place that some people use akin to a hotel and that is their prerogative. I gently immersed myself in the happenings of the place, selectively chatting with other guests who, although there was an age mix, were mostly younger than me. I found many of them to be delightfully friendly, curious, inquisitive and engaging as they or I desired. The room is as advertised, with 3 sets of 2 bunks, decent mattresses and basic linens. Locker available and locks sold cheaply which was very much appreciated. There is a basic set up for breakfast of coffee, cream, cereal and milk, canned fruit, and oatmeal packets. If I stayed a week or more I would get my own no sugar oatmeal and a bit of fresh berries for my bfast as their options were all sugar added. That isn't really a complaint as I am not eating low carb in SD, but I like to avoid it in cases when I enjoy the item just as well with less of it. The kitchen has proper utensils and knives, pans, etc as well as enough pantry and fridge storage to make meals home as a traveler desires. Laundry room available to guests 3-10 daily. There seemed to be availability the couple of times I looked. The rate was great, not only in comparison to hotels but modern times. Bravo, great place, thank you, do recommend and will stay again!"
