The unit is half of that and you share a wall with another guest where you can hear everything they say or do. - The shed is about 50 yards from the primary house and about 50 feet from another structure that is an active construction site. - In order to turn on the AC, you have to stand on an old fold out wooden chair and reach for buttons on the top which you can't actually see unless you are 6'4"+. Situated on a small 20 acre horse farm (adopted American Mustangs), this cabin reflects our love of horses! The huge windows, long porches and deck, creates a stunning setting to enjoy your vacation. Grill and dine out on the back deck which overlooks the wooded hillside. Relax and enjoy the spacious, private hot tub. Dappled Grey is newly built with an old world charm! With terracotta tile floors, knotty pine walls, 9ft tall ceilings, and long, shady porches with potted plants, this spacious cabin is one of a kind. Huge windows and sliding glass doors are set throughout the entire house, making it airy and bright. The lighting is absolutely magical, with the vista of the woods in all its seasonal colors filling the cabin with a sense of peace and serenity. We also have one other cabin, Larkspur, 200 feet from Dappled Grey. You have the whole cabin to yourself and the immediate parking area just outside the cabin. We are in the process of landscaping a lovely garden and yard next to Dappled Grey for you to enjoy. Feel free to watch the riding lessons (or book one!). If you'd like a short hike, follow the gravel road on our 20 acres, which goes by other cabins and follows the ridge-line. This turns into a path in the woods and joins the gravel road (this is a full loop around the property open to all our guests). Greg and I live in the red house on the property, right next door to Dappled Grey. We are always available if you text us with any question, and are happy to run over and help if there is a need. We are out and about during the day, working on our farm, training horses, giving riding lessons and planting flowers among other things. Always happy for a chat if you are so inclined, but also happy to give you total privacy as well. Country neighborhood just outside of Stanton, KY. 15 minutes away from Natural Bridge State Park and the heart of Red River Gorge. Take Mountain Parkway to the Slade exit, and access to miles of hiking trails and climbing walls. Attractions include Gorge Underground, minigolf, the Nada Tunnel, Glady Visitor Center, the Kentucky Reptile Zoo (with almost 2000 species of reptiles!) Zip lines and many more exciting things to do. While we are set in the country, we are very close to Stanton (just 5 min drive), with access to shopping, restaurants and other amenities. Please check out my recommendations in my guidebook on this app. Our driveway is a long gravel drive up a hill. All cars can make it, except in extremely icy weather. There is ample parking right in front of Dappled Grey and under the covered carport. 5 minutes from Kroger, and restaurants. Pets are welcome. We charge a $35 one time fee for EACH pet that you bring with you. We do ask you to notify us if you are bringing more than one pet as we will send you the additional pet fee through Airbnb. Bring a crate to keep your pet contained at night. We do not allow pets on the beds! Please bring charcoal and lighter if you plan to use the grill. We do not provide wood for the campfire, but you are more than welcome to gather it from our woods around!

A great night’s sleep awaits at this cozy Saugatuck cabin. One of the bedrooms sits on the upper level and the other is located off the kitchen on the first floor. Both bedrooms feature comfortable queen-sized beds with brand-new Casper mattresses and tasteful nature-inspired decor. There is a comfy sofa bed in the living room to accommodate additional guests.

There is one full bathroom with a walk-in shower and plenty of counter space upstairs. There is also a half bathroom connected to the downstairs bedroom.

The bright, airy open concept kitchen and living room make it easy to hang out as a group no matter which room you’re in. The charming full kitchen features spacious countertops, a nice collection of spices, and all the essential cookware and dishes you’ll need to cook and serve home-cooked meals. Even with a 5 year old, 6 year old, and golden-doodle in tow! So much to see and do within a short 30-45 minute drive in all directions. The only 2 things that could have made it only slightly better were the upstairs loft was way too hot for the kids to stay in and it was slightly less clean…. But totally not a deal breaker by any means! The other thing completely out of anyone’s control was the vacant house next door… when we pulled up, we were thinking oh man, there’s people right there so close, however, it was abandoned and overgrown, which was probably worse. - "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lost Lake Lodge. The property was very cute and the location felt very private. It was easy to relax on the rockers on the front porch. Two areas for improvement from my view. 1. The Wi-Fi was not usable which normally would not be a big deal but I was suppose to finish some work during our trip and was unable to do that at the cabin and this also rendered the television useless. That wouldn’t stop me from booking again, I just wish I had known. The other surprise was that the bathroom door was not a full door. The top 20% of the door was open, my partner and I prefer a bit more privacy when using the facilities if you know what I mean. I would still absolutely book this cabin again, but felt those two things should be mentioned because I would’ve liked to know those things before I rented the first time. Overall it was a great home base for our trip. We visited Knoxville, Gatlinburg, Pigeons Forge, Foothills Parkway (10 minutes away) and the Great Smoky mountains National Park. We saw plenty of deer, birds and squirrels through the 4 glass doors that run along the front of the cabin and the blinds were easy to close at the end of the night when it was time for bed. My now fiancé and I would both felt that the rental was a value for the money. The host was very accessible and got back to us pretty quickly."

Keurig AND coffee pot for coffee lovers. Usable and gorgeous wrap around porch with a side fire pit (s’mores included!). The Cherokee call this part of town Painttown and it is right next to Granny’s Kitchen- uber popular buffet with locals. Also about half a mile from Casino. Wheelchair accessible as well. The driveway is steep but well paved, the yard is gorgeous and very large with home located amidst the woods on three sides. The only unfortunate part is being up the road from the nighttime road crew pre0 area. Machinery noise in the evenings starting around 6pm-8pm. Go inside and you can’t hear it. There is liquor store in town, Cherokee reservation is no longer dry! "

Any stay greater than 21 days will require an additional long-term cleaning fee of $50 that will be MANUALLY charged after reservation confirmation.

Making sure the yard is cleaned of feces should be a priority if you do bring your dogs. Side parking or front parking is on the gravel road but is not a high traffic area.

SUPPLIES: We supply with you all the essentials at the cabin but you are in a remote area so stopping for groceries in Conifer is always a good idea. Bailey has some smaller stores, gas stations and restaurants to help make your stay enjoyable.

ROAD SAFETY: As you embark on your journey to this serene getaway, we want to ensure your safety and comfort. From October through May, a 4WD vehicle is essential for navigating our picturesque mountain road. While this route may be a bit rugged (dirt road for several miles), and can be very bumpy, fear not! The drive is a breathtaking adventure in itself, winding through majestic national forests and valleys. So, gear up for a journey that's as memorable as the destination itself, and let the scenic drive be an integral part of your mountain retreat experience. Happy travels!

SAFETY AND SECURITY: We do have two outside security cameras on site. One near the front door and the other facing the shed. These are recording 24/7 for everyone's safety.

WILDERNESS & WILDLIFE: During your stay, keep an eye out for our feathered and furry neighbors; turkeys, foxes, and deer often make appearances, and if you're especially lucky, you might catch a glimpse of a rare bear passing through. Please do not keep food or trash in your vehicles or outside.

WIFI & CELL RECEPTION: WIFI and Cell service can be spotty in the mountains. The WIFI may go out during inclement weather but usually comes back quickly. WIFI recently updated to High Speed Starlink and is great for working from cabin.

CABIN HEATING AND COOLING: We do not have A/C but rely on the cool mountain evenings. Open windows at night, close them during the day. We have ample heat sources including a wood stove. WOOD STOVE USE: You are welcome to use the pre-split wood that we provided. Please see guest book for instructions.

FIRE SAFETY: Wildfires are prevalent in Colorado, due to the dry climate. Outdoor fires of any kind are NEVER permitted.

SNOW REMOVAL: If it snows during your stay, you may be required to shovel small front step for personal use. During major storms, we will have a plow service plow the driveway when more than 4 - 6 inches accumulates. The main county road is always plowed within 24 hours.

CHILDREN: Children are welcome and even encouraged. We do however, have a few places in the home that may require supervision or to be blocked off- including the ladder and use of the loft space.
