With terracotta tile floors, knotty pine walls, 9ft tall ceilings, and long, shady porches with potted plants, this spacious cabin is one of a kind. Huge windows and sliding glass doors are set throughout the entire house, making it airy and bright. The lighting is absolutely magical, with the vista of the woods in all its seasonal colors filling the cabin with a sense of peace and serenity. We also have one other cabin, Larkspur, 200 feet from Dappled Grey. You have the whole cabin to yourself and the immediate parking area just outside the cabin. We are in the process of landscaping a lovely garden and yard next to Dappled Grey for you to enjoy. Feel free to watch the riding lessons (or book one!). If you'd like a short hike, follow the gravel road on our 20 acres, which goes by other cabins and follows the ridge-line. This turns into a path in the woods and joins the gravel road (this is a full loop around the property open to all our guests). Greg and I live in the red house on the property, right next door to Dappled Grey. We are always available if you text us with any question, and are happy to run over and help if there is a need. We are out and about during the day, working on our farm, training horses, giving riding lessons and planting flowers among other things. Always happy for a chat if you are so inclined, but also happy to give you total privacy as well. Country neighborhood just outside of Stanton, KY. 15 minutes away from Natural Bridge State Park and the heart of Red River Gorge. Take Mountain Parkway to the Slade exit, and access to miles of hiking trails and climbing walls. Attractions include Gorge Underground, minigolf, the Nada Tunnel, Glady Visitor Center, the Kentucky Reptile Zoo (with almost 2000 species of reptiles!) Zip lines and many more exciting things to do. While we are set in the country, we are very close to Stanton (just 5 min drive), with access to shopping, restaurants and other amenities. Please check out my recommendations in my guidebook on this app. Our driveway is a long gravel drive up a hill. All cars can make it, except in extremely icy weather. There is ample parking right in front of Dappled Grey and under the covered carport. 5 minutes from Kroger, and restaurants. Pets are welcome. We charge a $35 one time fee for EACH pet that you bring with you. We do ask you to notify us if you are bringing more than one pet as we will send you the additional pet fee through Airbnb. Bring a crate to keep your pet contained at night. We do not allow pets on the beds! Please bring charcoal and lighter if you plan to use the grill. We do not provide wood for the campfire, but you are more than welcome to gather it from our woods around!

A great night’s sleep awaits at this cozy Saugatuck cabin. One of the bedrooms sits on the upper level and the other is located off the kitchen on the first floor. Both bedrooms feature comfortable queen-sized beds with brand-new Casper mattresses and tasteful nature-inspired decor. There is a comfy sofa bed in the living room to accommodate additional guests.

There is one full bathroom with a walk-in shower and plenty of counter space upstairs. There is also a half bathroom connected to the downstairs bedroom.

The bright, airy open concept kitchen and living room make it easy to hang out as a group no matter which room you’re in. The charming full kitchen features spacious countertops, a nice collection of spices, and all the essential cookware and dishes you’ll need to cook and serve home-cooked meals. Even with a 5 year old, 6 year old, and golden-doodle in tow! So much to see and do within a short 30-45 minute drive in all directions. The only 2 things that could have made it only slightly better were the upstairs loft was way too hot for the kids to stay in and it was slightly less clean…. The open concept living area boasts a large smart TV for streaming your favorite shows and sports. Equipped with an Eco-friendly AC/Heat system, with dehumidification, the living area also has a remote operated, gas fire place which provides extra heat on those cold evenings! High speed fiber internet provides signal throughout the cabin and most guests will have full cell phone service when on property! The living room has space for the roll away beds or they can be placed in the bedrooms.

Off the living room is a gorgeous kitchen with custom cabinetry featuring built in stainless appliances, inclusive of an island that has seating for five. Full size appliances include the gas stove top, oven, microwave, refrigerator with two ice makers, coffee machine that takes grounds or standard Keurig pods, and a tea kettle! All cookware needed to prepare a meal is also available, including mixers, dishes, flatware, wine and whiskey glasses, and pairing knives.

Bedrooms feature on suite bathrooms and king size beds with premium mattresses and linens. Extra blankets and pillows accompany the rooms along with custom millwork for storing and hanging clothes. Even more space is provided via the dressers in each room. Bathrooms have their own towels, soaps, shampoos, and hair dryers. Both bedrooms feature their own smart TV with apps for multiple streaming services. End tables with soft lighting top off a relaxing evening in bed.

A circular drive allows for ample parking of trucks and trailers. A fire pit off the back patio gives everyone space for seating while maintaining a sense of closeness. A Nordic Pro hot tub will seat up to six adults. An outdoor TV is mounted above the wood burning fire place with plenty of seating for all guests. A second story observation deck, with seating, is why we call this cabin The Star Inn!
