- "We went during the off season, but we didn't realize that meant that the front desk would be closed and we'd have to call to check in which consisted of the room being left unlocked and a single key left on the desk inside the room. No ice machine available. Cleanliness marks for a cleaning rag left in the room and drywall dust all throughout the hallways and elevator could have been overlooked if not for the other deficiencies. Nothing in the room promoting the park. I bought a trail map to Acadia for $3.95 that would have made the room a tiny bit more inviting. "

- "My husband and I stayed at Terramor for three nights in early October 2023. The leaves were all changing colors and it was our first ever experience glamping. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay - the comforts of the large bathroom and the bed but also the fact that we were still inside a tent with a wild meadow right outside the “door”. The surprisingly loud sound of acorns falling on the canvas roof all night long did take some getting used to, but we laughed about it a lot. Overall the rooms were updated and clean. The only issue was the second (back) room only had a ceiling fan so it was fairly warm sleeping in that room with no AC. The ability to get to Acadia and the Carriage Road Trail from the back of the property was great. We did not take advantage of the pool but it was used heavily all week. We did play family Bocci ball each evening which was a nice memory for us. Overall the staff was awesome and they are doing a great job dealing with the Covid issue. We were very pleased and would come back here again."

The space
Harbourside Inn, built in 1888, is located on a wooded hillside a few minutes walk from the village of Northeast Harbor. The Inn was designed by the famed architect Fred Savage in the "shingle style" so popular to the Maine coast during the later part of the nineteenth century. The Inn consists of 14 guest rooms which vary in decor and accommodations.

The Inn has free wi-fi, hiking maps for purchase, and books and games to borrow. A small coffee service is available each morning, consisting of freshly brewed organic coffee, organic teas, fresh fruit, oatmeal and granola bars.

Our innkeeping-family has been welcoming guests to the the Blue Hill Peninsula of Maine since July 4, 1889. We are perfectly situated directly on the saltwater of the Reach and the freshwater of Walker Pond.

The Oakland House has two private ocean beaches. In the distance, you can see the Pumpkin Island Lighthouse and even the Camden Hills! Our guests also have access to the Blue Dot and Yellow Dot trails that lead up to a phenomenal view of the waterfront from Lookout Rock.
