We are off the main street a little way, and behind a big house, so it's quiet here. This unit is positioned along the creek with a row of other tiny homes.
Your tiny home has an all-wood interior and smells like wood inside. The queen bed is cozy for two and has a TV right above it. There's a fan attached to the wall for those who enjoy white noise and a breeze.
Bar height counters allows more space underneath for dishes and cooking supplies which are provided. Unit has microwave, fridge, two-burner cook top, toaster, rice cooker and air fryer.
The compartment for the shower and toilet is small, but, after all, it is a tiny home!
Your view is of the creek, directly from your porch and from the kitchen window. Enjoy watching the many birds and occasional sea otters.
Our clientele are mostly remote workers and vacationers in the summer months. We work and live here, and sometimes visit in the common spaces - but we do not have loud, busy gatherings. The vibe is quiet and friendly. You'll meet people and hang out if you want. Nearby restaurants and live music give you opportunities to expand your circle of friends.
Public beach access is across the street. We perch out there most nights to watch the sunset and take pics.
Shared coin-op laundry is in a little red building by the deck.

Birch bay is all about beach life: Strolling on the beach, kayaking, shell fish harvesting (in season) and going to the nearby restaurants. The food scene is small, but often includes live music. The beach side restaurants are about 2 miles north, where you'll also find a coffee shop with local arts and crafts for sale. Check online calendars for the many festivals throughout the year in Birch Bay, Blaine, and Semiahmoo For example, checkout the kite festival and the sand sculpture festival. We also enjoy old car shows, music, art, and food vendors.

Blaine is 10 minutes north and offers more restaurants, a grocery store, post office, a Starbucks, and fast food.

Getting Around:
The bus stop is about 1 mile from here. Guests have stayed here with no car. You can borrow our bikes. There are two mini-marts within a 15 minute bike ride where you can get basic groceries. Borrow our kayaks and paddle over to the restaurants. Viking Foods delivers from local restaurants. Instacart and Whole Foods deliver groceries here.

Other Things to Note:
The Pacific NW is known for lots of outdoor sporting activities. From skiing to whale watching, biking, kayaking, horse back riding, river rafting, island hopping, you name it - we've got it. This location can be your home-base for all these activities within a couple-hours drive. The Canadian border is a 15 minute drive from here. Vancouver is about an hour from the border. Check online calendars for concerts, carnivals and races.

There are 6 other rental units at this site. There will be opportunities to meet people if you like and chat around the shared outdoor spaces. Onsite manager lives in one of the units so if anything needs to be addressed, she's usually right there to handle it.

The town of Blaine is a 15 minute drive north. There you'll find more restaurants, cafes (all with water views), a marina to explore, postal services and a grocery store.

The Space:
Quiet section of Birch Bay. Secluded entrance. Must be able to climb a flight of stairs. Great WiFi strength for remote workers. We have a work desk with a view of the bay.
Soft bed, coffee & cream provided. This is a lovely space for a work-ationer for the winter.

Bring your dog! We can provide a doggy bed. He can also enjoy the covered balcony where he can be closed in with two baby gates. The balcony has a small BBQ where you can grill up some steaks or bratwursts while enjoying the view and playing tug-o-war with your doggy.

We also have a coin-op laundry. The front deck has a propane fire pit and chairs for gathering.

Adventure:
Some folks launch their kayaks right here from the creek. From our back yard, you can paddle down the creek and into the bay. If you paddle north just a mile or so, you can pull back onto the beach and walk up to one of the restaurants!

Enjoy walking, jogging, or biking... and head south into the state park. Enjoy the beach for a while. If you're on a bike, keep going another couple of miles. Point Whitehorn offers a cliff-height view of Puget Sound.

This is a bird watcher's haven. The barn swallows hang out around our 2nd floor studio (but don't worry, they are quiet). We wake up to the sound of gulls across the street. In spring, the geese are raising babies in the creek and in fall, they're learning to fly. At times, a great heron flies overhead and sounds like a pterodactyl. An occasional eagle can be heard complaining as the ravens chase him away. If you walk your doggy by the creek, he will enjoy barking at the wood ducks and king fishers and mallards.

We are a couple of miles south of the restaurants, live music, and public beach gatherings. There is also a coffee shop down there with sweet and savory pastries, as well as local arts and crafts for sale.

Blaine is a 10-minute drive north and has a Starbucks, a grocery store, more restaurants, a post office, and banks.

Not much shopping nearby. Birch Bay is all about being on the beach, eating out, grabbing a drink, and relaxing. But Bellingham is 30 minutes south and has museums, a mall, restaurants, and a theater.

Getting Around:
If by car:
From I5, take the exit for "WA-548 / Grandview Rd towards Birch Bay.
Head West for about 5 miles. Near the refinery, there will be a couple of round-a-bouts. Keep going straight through them to stay on Grandview. When you come to Jackson Rd, take a right. After about a mile and a half, Jackson Rd makes a sharp turn towards the bay. At the T, go left on Birch Bay Drive. About one tenth of a mile later, you'll see a cluster of colorful cabins on the left. Our property is immediately after the cabins. If you pass the Driftwood Inn, you've gone too far. Neither the colorful cabins (Sunset Condos), nor the Driftwood are associated with our property. We are right in between. Our sign says "Birch Bay Beach Stays."
If by bus:
Bus 75 from Ferndale comes to Birch Bay and drops you off at the C Shop. From there, walk 1/6 of a mile south along the beach front road to our address.

Other Things to Note:
If you have an Amazon Prime account, you can order groceries from Whole Foods in Bellingham. The fridge is big enough for 5 days of food for one person.

I put in 'old lady' steps to easily get into the water off the dock so more are able to enjoy the lake on a hot day.

My house is designed for accessibility no curb for the shower 36 inch wide doors and it is all on one level. I brought my friend who is in a wheel chair for a weekend and she was happy to be so independent. For further details please call.

For walking, hiking or running we have many options including Lake Padden, Whatcom Falls, Interurban Trail, and Boulevard Park all within minutes of our home.

The rental is beautifully remodeled and very spacious yet cozy. Both bedrooms have queen beds, plus a third sleeping area with an IKEA couch that makes into a queen bed. The open concept kitchenette/living area is great for families and small groups. The kitchenette does not include a range/oven, but we have included appliances to make it easy to cook simple meals. These include an induction burner, a counter top convection oven/roaster, griddle, crock-pot, microwave and small toaster oven. The kitchen includes a full sink, an apartment size refrigerator, and plenty of counter space. Plus there is access to the grill. We proudly provide locally roasted coffee and locally blended teas.

Loni and I live in the upper level of the house and have our own entrances and upper deck. Most of the time we will be available for help, questions or even a chat. We understand if you like your privacy and will do our best to respect that, but if you would like to pick a locals brain we are always happy to share a beverage together.

Our neighborhood is conveniently situated to be close to many options. We are 4.5 miles to downtown Bellingham, 1 mile to Lake Whatcom and Toad Lake, and close to Mt Baker Hwy for access to mountain activities. Plus there are parks and trails nearby for walks, hikes and mountain biking. We are very lucky to have 5 acres so close in town. Its our little oasis in the middle of the neighborhood.

Our home is located in the beautiful, tree-filled Geneva neighborhood. It’s peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature, with frequent visits from deer, bunnies, owls, and other wildlife. Despite the secluded, forested feel, you're less than 8 minutes by car from Whole Foods, downtown Bellingham, and other local favorite restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, and the vibrant farmer’s market.

Mount Baker is just a little over an hour away for skiing and snowboarding! Lake Whatcom is a short walk from the house, perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, or a scenic stroll. Just steps from the property is direct access to the Galbraith Mountain trail system, a world-class mountain biking and hiking destination known throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Geneva offers the best of both worlds—quiet and nature-rich, yet close to everything.

Guests have their own private entrance at the back of the house, accessible via a flight of steps. Entry is simple and secure with a keyless entry pad—no keys to keep track of and easy self check-in anytime after 3 p.m.

Our space is modern, light-filled, and thoughtfully designed for comfort and ease. The home was newly built just a couple of years ago, and everything inside is fresh and new. Your apartment is attached to the main home in more of a side-by-side layout, with private access off the back deck.

We live in a peaceful neighborhood tucked right next to the forest, so you’ll hear plenty of birds and nature sounds.

The apartment is ideal for families, couples, or solo travelers looking for a quiet, welcoming retreat. We've added all the little touches we appreciate when we travel — like cotton linens for a great night’s sleep, and an open-concept living and kitchen area that feels both spacious and cozy.

There are two comfortably sized bedrooms, each with large closets. One has a queen bed; the other has a full-size bed with a twin bunk above it — perfect for kids or extra guests. We also provide a Pack ’n Play and high chair for families traveling with little ones.

Every detail was chosen to make your stay feel relaxed, clean, and just a little special.

We’re located near beautiful Lake Whatcom and right on the Galbraith Mountain trail system that's perfect for mountain bikers and hikers. From the house, you can easily ride into town or explore trails that connect across the ridge to different parts of Bellingham. While many guests find having a car convenient for getting around, the area is also very accessible for those looking to explore on two wheels!

You'll enter the space by going to the back of the home & up the deck stairs to your private entrance. If you’re traveling with a toddler, let us know — we’re happy to provide a baby gate for the top of the stairs.

Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, great for working remotely. Water pressure here is a little softer than average due to our location — still fully functional. There's also a beautiful soaking tub with a handheld shower wand for a relaxing bath.

The apartment is attached to the main home, more like a side-by-side setup, but part of it is beneath the upstairs of the house. You may hear some light movement or muffled voices occasionally since our home office is upstairs. There's a sweet friendly dog in the main home, but he doesn't bark. It's a very quiet street with tons of trees and nature sounds from being right next to the forest.

Our cozy trailer is ready for guests to have a peaceful stay. We are just 10-15 minutes from downtown Bellingham, so whether you are wanting to explore downtown or day trip to Mt. Baker, it's a great place to stay.
**Please note, the space is small, there is no A/C, and the showers are short**

We live on a country road with 5 acres of forest you are welcome to wander. The trailer is on shared property with our home, but we will respect your privacy!

The trailer has a kitchen, dinette, and a bathroom with a small shower/tub. The space has heat, a fridge, a built-in radio, lots of windows, a pull-out couch, a double bed, and all the amenities you might need.

NOTE!! - Trailer living is different from house living. The space is small, showers are short (3-5 minutes), no A/C, there is at times some smell from the toilet. It is not ideal for more than 2 people and may be challenging for taller/larger folks to feel comfortable in.

Quiet and private RV spot. Located on our hobby farm, we are semi retired and spend our days caretaking our property. Numerous gardens and outdoor spaces for you to enjoy. On site parking and the space is serviced with a 30 amp plug in, water, and septic. You'll have access to all the outdoor areas anytime. Stretch out and relax in this calm, comfortable space. What you see is what you get. It is a simple, clean bedroom with a king sized bed and private full bathroom on the first floor of the home. Think hotel room, but better price and homier. On a clear day you can see Mt.Baker from your bedroom and views of the Canadian mountains from the property.
The location is 1.6 miles from Whatcom Community College and less than 5 miles from the waterfront and downtown Bellingham.

1900 house that I am in the process of renovating. Walking distance to everything in downtown Ferndale. The train crosses an overpass across the street, but it’s not loud inside the house. Three cats in residence. There is only one bathroom, but I have an on-demand water heater. I need the bathroom between 7:00am and 7:35am to get ready for work on week days.

The space
Small, cozy bedroom with a springy queen sized bed. Blackout blinds for day sleepers. There is a desk for you to use and a clothes rack for clothes. There is a window unit A/C for the summer and a heater for cold weather. The room is in a converted attic and has an odd sized / low height door. Also, the floor slopes a little due to the house settling in the back.

Your room, kitchen, bathroom, living room, dining room, deck and yard.

During your stay
I’m available if you want to chat. If you want to be alone just close your door.

Other things to note
This is a fragrance free zone, as I have fragrance allergies. No air “freshener,” scented laundry detergent or dryer sheets, body spray, etc.
I am semi allergic to hot peppers so unfortunately you cannot cook with them here.
No shoes in the house.
Do not let the cats out / keep the doors to the outside closed at all times. Clean up after yourself. I am not kidding about this. If you get hair or toothpaste on the bathroom sink, clean it up. If you get shampoo on the wall, clean it up. If you spill food on the stove, clean it up. If you track in dirt or water on your shoes, clean it up.
*Because of prior guest problems:
Do not bring kerosene or any other accellerant or chemicals into my house, in a container or otherwise.
Do not take the stoppers out of the sink or water down the soap.
Do not use bathroom hand towels or kitchen dish towels for cleaning - there are paper towels and rags available for cleaning

This listing is for a Bedroom in my home in the Columbia neighborhood, which is less than a mile from downtown Bellingham. Next to beautiful Elizabeth park with many trees and community concerts on Thursday evenings in the summer. From various windows one can see Sehome Hill, Mt Baker, St James church and the Bay.

This bedroom is a large room with a bed for one or maybe two people.

I am also staying in the house.

There is no parking on the property itself or in the driveway. But street parking is usually plentiful.

I work from home in a downstairs office, so during week days it is important that noise levels be respecting of that.
