I think you will like my place! Its decorated like a beach house located in a tropical atmosphere with over 39 large palm trees, & lots of banana trees & thick green grass in the summer. You may see various wildlife that live along the creek bank like Raccoons, turtles, otters & Great Blue Herons! Im close to restaurants, nightlife, Historic sights, hospital (<10 min), shopping & FLETC (<3min). St Simons Island is about 15 minutes away & Jekyll Island about 25 minutes. Its a nice "simple" casual place. You have CH&A, full kitchen, washer & dryer, starter coffee, tea, sugar ect , all the basics you need. The bed is queen size, and the blue jean couch is comfortable. Its located on a tidal creek that's about 4' @ high tide & 0' @ low tide. Guests have access to the breezeway connecting the unit to my house where I have a patio table & 4 chairs & a charcoal grill, the hammock gazebo area next to the creek, the area immediately behind the unit w/table, chairs & umbrella & in the unit itself. Any other part of the property is my private area. Theres a wifi lock on the front door. Older established neighborhood with huge moss covered oaks & long winding roads. Its usually pretty quiet, BUT there can be the usual noise because humans live, work & play around here. Theres historic sites nearby, and lots of salt & freshwater waterways if you like boating, crabbing & fishing! Were not a large town, so you can mostly get anywhere in 30 minutes or less. I have a black doggy named Willow who may come by for a visit. She is a very friendly Staffy mix, but if you dont want her company let me know! Discounts for weekly and monthly stays.

This cute classic 'naval' cottage, constructed for naval airmen stationed on the island during the second world war, is charming from the front yard to the original hardwood floors awaiting your steps inside.
Two cozy, quiet bedrooms perfect for a sound island's sleep, and two distinct living areas for those preferring to staying up. These areas include a main living room, comfortably furnished, splashing oceanic colors and island styles, and an additional living area with 2 recliners, large desk area and an additional TV. The quaint kitchen has dishwasher plus all the basic necessities. Gas Stove. Many upgrades in 2021. The eat-in dining nook provides comfortable seating for 4-6 with built in bench seats.

This is an ideal cottage for pets small and large.

Laundry room with full washer/dryer is located off the deck. All that is missing is the ocean. There is beach within a mile which is tide contingent meaning no beach at high tide. The better beaches are within 2 miles so you probably want to drive or take bikes. There are county restrictions about dogs on the beach so you want to be familiar with these. No dogs not on a leash between Memorial day and Labor Day.

As the owner I do my best to ensure home is comfortable and inviting. You will find a supply of many basic items such as soap, TP, paper towels, dish detergent and laundry detergent. You will have enough coffee for at least the first few nights. I live locally and am in the home before every guest.

Please note that all TV's are smart TV's so you have access to all your streaming services. I have Hulu Live set up to provide you with "live" TV. I do not provide traditional cable services.

This cute 2 bedroom house with big fenced back yard and beautiful back porch is set among ancient live oaks draped in Spanish moss. The place could sleep 8, but I recommend no more than 4 adults. Two bedrooms (a queen size bed in one bedroom and two double beds in the other bedroom) and pull out sofa bed in the living room. Bed sheets are all organic cotton. There is one bathroom recently remodeled with nice tile shower. Other amenities available with the house include:

--EASY TO GET TO THE BEACH-- The beach is about two miles from the property. If you choose to drive, there is plenty of free parking available at the Old Coast Guard Station. If you're biking or walking, there's a beautiful, shaded route to get to the beach on backroads so you can avoid the main road of Frederica. Message host if you have any questions about best routes and/or landing spots at the beach!

--LOCATION--
The location of the house is hard to beat. It's a 5 minute drive/15 minute bike ride to the beach, 5 minutes from both grocery stores on the island, and less than 5 minutes away from some of the best barbeque (Southern Soul), donuts (Dulce Dough), sushi (Fancy Q), and coffee (Wake Up) on St. Simons. Not only is the house in the perfect central location, the street the house is located on is calm and secluded with no through traffic.

**we only do one night rentals when it is two weeks or less from the check in date or if it falls on the day before or after another booking. ** I do provide a "starter" roll of paper towels and TP.

This beautiful 900 square foot loft has a private entrance and on-site parking for one vehicle..

Just one minute away you'll discover the 18 miles of bike trails surrounding the island. You can bike to the fishing pier or the beach and arrive in mere minutes. Or, you may want to visit the Historic District, where over 300 millionaires of the Gilded Age once lived. Movers and shakers of the times like J.P Morgan, Joseph Pulitzer, William Rockefeller and others built homes and a Club House on our island, beginning in 1888. They typically spent 3-5 months down here yearly for the next 54 years. Their homes are being restored and many can be visited and appreciated.

We also have a world renowned Sea Turtle Center, where injured and sick turtles are flown in for surgeries and rehabilitation, and later released back to the sea. Bike toward the south and visit the Tidelands Nature Center, enjoy bird and wildlife viewing, or swim and sunbath on our 12 miles of white sand beaches. "Aloft" is located in a quiet residential neighborhood in between the Jekyll Island airport and the campground. That puts us 5 to 10 minutes from the Jekyll Island beaches by car. Bicycle paths start one block from the house.

Also, you should know that "Aloft" is an open and airy unit with lots of natural light. It has a private entrance through our garage. You may hear the garage door open and close at 6:30 or so in the morning during the days of Monday through Friday (also some occasional weekend days) as that is the time that we go to work. That has not bothered most of our guests, but we don't want that to be a surprise. Otherwise the unit is very quiet. Kitchen facilities are limited. Cooking facilities are a toaster oven, a two burner hot-plate and a microwave. The refrigerator is hotel sized.

***we are going through a heatwave right now till about 8/3. this is an old house and this is an upstairs apartment facing the setting Sun so the AC may have a hard time keeping up between 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. The back part is usually the coolest all the time. so I cannot predict when this will happen or if it will happen but I'm just letting you know the temperature may get up between 78 and 80 or so but it cools down quickly to a nice 72° after the sun gets behind the trees. I have very few complaints but I'm just letting you know that this could be a possibility. There is a portable unit in the front bedroom which helps tremendously turning it on during that hot period. if it's cloudy or stormy there's usually not an issue so I can't predict when it may happen if it happens at all. So booking means you acknowledge this possibility and are okay with it getting maybe 78 to 80° for a few hours. I'm in the process of getting mini splits changing over from a central system so I think this will be better for this beautiful old home.

The only shared area is the front porch, but you have your own sitting area. This apt is the UPSTAIRS 3 bedrooms of the original house with a bathroom & landing. This is a 2br unit with a queen bed in each room. This apt is set up for 4 people in 2 bedrooms.
The living, dining, kitchen & utility rooms are all in 1 room, but it works! Im located in Historic Brunswick Ga near our downtown area, but also between both islands & their beaches. Close to every thing you may want to do! The neighborhood has lots of Colonial homes, historic parks with fountains, streets with huge moss covered oaks. I also have another one-bedroom separate apt in this same home downstairs which will sleep 4 so if you wanted a family get-together type situation or you re coming here for a wedding with a lot of family and friends you might want to book both of them at the same time! Look at my profile and you will see the other listings. Close to Jekyll Island (about 25 minutes), St Simons Island (about 15 minutes) & Historic Downtown Brunswick (about 3 minutes, 6-8 blocks) where theres restaurants, nightlife, Historic sights, shopping, festivals, farmers market & more. The "Yellow Deli" is about 2 blocks away where you can walk & have breakfast or lunch, & they make their own breads! FLETC & hospital is about 10 minutes away, & Airports nearby! Easy access to I 95 North & South, so about 1 hour to Savannah & Jacksonville. Its a perfect place to stay while on vacation, if you have long or short term business, are looking for a home to buy or a long term rental, traveling nurses, snowbirds or you or a loved one is @ FLETC going to training ect. I provide a monthly & weekly discount! Its much better than a hotel, & a lot cheaper! The apt has a mostly equipped kitchen with a full size stove & oven, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, dishes, silverware, plastic storage ect. All towels & linen for the bed, kitchen & bath are provided as well as toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, coffee, filter, sugars & condiments ect. The bath has a full tub w/shower.
The apartment is decorated in a coastal theme, & has nice Colonial features! Washer & dryer included as well, with soap & bleach! All utilities & wireless internet is included, including a 52" tv with cable. Nice cozy porch with shade cloths, couch, love seat & chairs. *This is a Old colonial 2 story home that's charming with original windows but they are not energy efficient. There is no insulation in the walls that I can tell. It is like most any other two-story home and it does get warmer than the bottom floor when the temperature is over 95°, it can have a harder time cooling down, & may end up being warm till it cools down after sunset. Therefore it may not be the choice for everyone especially if you like it cold in a house. There are ceiling fans in every room, and keeping the room darkening curtains in front bedroom closed is helpful.

*This is a "port town", & we are located near the ports & waterfront so there is some noise & traffic from that, mainly mon-fri 9-5. Theres railroad tracks about 3 blocks away, & traffic noise from trucks about 1 block away. It is sporadic but there "may be" some noise daily!

*EVERYONE READ HOUSE MANUAL!

We're located on Ocean Rd, making us 2 blocks from the beach access point on 6th street.

THE SPACE

The back yard is a poolside paradise including a large pool cabana - lay out in the sun or enjoy the shade. If you can toss a bean bag, try out our corn hole tournament area. We installed artificial turf around the pool so there'll be no grass clippings. The pool can optionally be heated for a charge of $75/day.

Inside, the floor plan includes 3 bedrooms on the main level and 2 bedrooms upstairs.

The downtown area has a brewery and many restaurants and boutique stores. The area is very quiet and you can sit out on the deck and look up at the stars, bbq, or relax with a glass of wine. The kitchen has been remodeled and the master bedroom has an attached bathroom. Please treat my home as you would your own. My house rules are no loud parties or events of ANY kind this includes family reunions or weddings. We don't allow this due to liability for unauthorized people and we don't have proper zoning for outdoor weddings. This is a quiet family neighborhood and no pets. You will adore the charm of our family tree house, located close to the heartbeat of the Village, Pier, Lighthouse and Neptune Park Play area of St. Simons Island. Kids and Adults alike love the nostalgia of The Treehouse.

THE SPACE
Enter through the front porch into the quant sitting room with a smart TV. You have a small kitchenette with a 2-burner cooktop, dishwasher, microwave single serve coffee maker, blender and toaster oven. Sorry, there is NOT A REGULAR OVEN. The dining area seats 4 guests and a high top at entry is comfortable for 3 guests.

Behind the spiral staircase and off the kitchen is a bedroom with a full size bed (32" smart TV), adjoining a private bathroom with a clawfoot tub with a shower. Beyond this bedroom is a hall bathroom with a shower for additional guest use.

Winding up the spiral staircase (15-steps) to the loft area are 2 full size beds (32" smart TV), 2 seat sofa and a chair, with access to the screened in upper porch.

Note:

This home is connected via a breezeway to the adjacent house, Palmetto Cottage. The breezeway connects to Palmetto Cottage's garage via a locked door that leads into Palmetto Cottage. You will not have access to Palmetto Cottage or the garage.

There is not a washer and dryer in The Treehouse, nor an oven.

If you need more space, consider renting both!

Located on the south end of the Island, St. Simons Pier Village district serves as the downtown social hub and is a popular destination for shopping, dining and gathering on the pier and nearby lighthouse, playground and picnic areas. Overlooking the ocean and Jekyll Island across the way, you'll find the St. Simons Lighthouse and Museum, Neptune Park with its ocean side pool and facilities, playground, miniature golf course, and an oak shaded picnic area, fishing pier, public library and theater.

No Smoking: No smoking is allowed in the home, on the porches/patios/decks, or on the property in general.

Minimum Age: Must be 25 + to book, or age 30 + on GAFL weekend (last weekend in October) For GAFL weekend (last weekend in October), guests must be age 30 + or kids with their parents, no student groups. We cannot make exceptions for that weekend.

Welcome to the Kind Rooms! We are centrally located near DT Brunswick less than a 5 minute drive and the historic district is one street over and within walking distance. We have decided to add the option of renting out rooms at the Kind House and still having it available as a full home to larger amounts of guests. We are very close to both Jekyll Island, St. Simons and South Georgia Medical Center. During Fall/Early winter we offer competitive monthly rates to traveling professionals.

Both rooms at the kind house offer their own bathrooms so you have complete privacy. Shared spaces with other guests only will be the den, living, room, and outdoor patio with a grill.

We have weekly and monthly rates during the fall and winter season for working professionals.

The second kind room is enough space for one or two people. You have your own bathroom and will have shared access of the kitchen, patio with grill, the den and other living room which each has their own televisions. You will only share the space with other guests if they are currently staying in the other room. The property also has fiber optic internet with high speed.
