Relax in this newly renovated mid-island getaway. We started our family on this beautiful island many years ago and we love the charm and unique local vibe. We are so excited to offer our coastal casual cottage for you to enjoy. It’s conveniently located and within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, a movie theater, and two blocks from a kid’s playground and park. We enjoy walking, exploring, and riding our bikes on the bike paths. The beach is only 3 miles away. The neighborhood is very quiet. The spacious main suite has a king bed and an updated bathroom. The secondary bedroom has a queen over queen bunk bed. All the mattresses are new. The hall bath just got an update, as well. There is a queen sleeper sofa in the living area. The kitchen has all new stainless appliances and a Keurig for your convenience. No smoking and no pets on this property. The artificial turf yard also has a fun little putting green that our grands love. The driveway will accommodate two large vehicles. There are exterior security cams with motion sensor lights on the property. And, you will love the side yard patio just off the living area.

The handle to the refrigerator was completely missing, which was a real pain. The bathroom needed a thorough cleaning, too. The listing stated that you get the entire house, but I had to pay extra to use a second bedroom. Between the extra i paid and the items I bought, it ended up being a much more expensive stay than I anticipated."

You will be on the immediate Southside of the busiest airport in the world. Uber, Lyft, or taxi to and from the Atlanta airport is usually $12-$20. Interstate I285, I85 and I75 are all within 1 mile or 2 away. Downtown Atlanta is a 15 -20-minute drive. This home is a 3-bedroom house that is great for a weekend getaway, visit to the city of Atlanta, overnight from the Atlanta International Airport, USMLE testing, Airline job interview, wedding trip for group, group trip for church, family trip for reunion, graduation, etc. You can hardly get closer to the airport than staying here. We have had people come from over 20 countries and from many states. Join us for Love and Life Ministries services on Sundays at 11am offsite, and Thursday and Friday on Zoom at 729pm (ask for Meeting ID). We teach mainly on the 4 Major Relationships in life: your Relationship with God, with yourself, with others and with things.

There is no smoking/vaping allowed anywhere on property. Let us know if you need parking ahead of time so it can be arranged. Easy access for Uber, Lyft, or Taxis at house. You can walk to McDonald's, Checkers or Quik Trip. Public transportation is about an 8-minute walk away. Check in is 2pm or later and check out is 9am or before. Let us know if you need a later check out. Enter through the front door with an access code which is given on the day before you arrive, once you agree to the Covid-19 guest and cleaning requirements, and you can leave through the side door if that is more convenient. If arriving with heavy bags, enter through the front door and then bring them in through the side door. The hallway bathroom is shared. You can access a living room, dining room and kitchen with a community cupboard. You have your own private bedroom with a key. Leave key in door when you depart. Access to Wi-Fi is available along with a TV, Netflix, and Roku.

We, your hosts, live in the basement apartment so if you have any needs or questions, we respond very quickly. We would love to sit and have a chat at your convenience if we are not out working or playing. There are two city bus stops within a 5 minute walk. We are 15 minutes from downtown Atlanta and 20 minutes away from the Airport via car.

Guest access
You will receive your lockbox door code for the appropriate keys to open the house entrances and your room door prior to check in. Please be on the lookout in your email, airbnb and phone as we will send messages to all 3 communication mediums.

As a gentle reminder (& part of the House rules) we urge all guests to please clean after yourselves after using the common areas. This is to ensure common areas remain clean and sanitary for ALL guests to use. Please be your neighbors keeper and be considerate while using the common area or any of the amenities.

Similarly, we continue to encourage guests to please inform/report incidents of common/shared areas being left messy, this is to ensure we are able to address them as needed and ensure a 5 star stay for everyone.

I leave for work during the afternoon and some weekends but I am accessible for most needs. I am adding a second bedroom in the summer to total 2 guest rooms (the bathrooom will be shared when that is the case). I will communicate whenever new guests are planned/expected.

This home is very quiet. All guests are working professionals and are quiet and respectable.

This is not a place for entertaining friends and family. The property sits on 5 acres of cleared land. A barn and horses are on property. A pool has been installed this fall with a screened enclosure.
We are in the process of building a koi pond. Which will be a tranquil place to sit and relax beside.
