I didn't get to meet my host, but they must be fabulous people to share such a cozy spot!" - "Quiet comfortable clean host available for any needs Enjoyed our stay would recommend" - "I came here for a short stay to relocate in September. I ended up coming in a bit later than expected and Della (host) was so kind checking in on me and my arrival time. One night, maybe the first night I came back to rental quite late 12 am or so and Della sent a quick text confirming I was “ok”. Being a single lady in an unfamiliar town, that spoke volumes to me. Just losing my mother it was sorta something I needed. So thank you Della. The place was IMMACULATE, floors were shining! The size and comfort was perfect. The bed was very comfortable, AND every night I fell asleep without my normal white noise, a fan and Alexa (which they have there if you want, I brought my own). So quiet and peaceful and a short 5 min drive to supermarkets, Starbucks, convenience stores/gasoline, and 20/25 min to six different islands, 40 min from Kiawah private beach, Beachfront! At one point I was thinking of staying an extra day or two and inquired to Della via text and she said I could have it for another day or two. I never actually took them up on it, but it was nice to know that at least I had the option. Very gracious host, therefore any of your needs and even to check up on you to make sure you’re OK. Keurig with the pods they have available for you, if you want to bring your own I think I have a lot of them. I’m sure they’ll refill them. Also, it was a nice touch with two champagne glasses and Rosé, waiting for me when I arrived. Plenty of towels and blankets to keep me warm. The central air was on point. I inquired at the end of my stay, if I needed it, when it got closer to my moving to SC in September, would I being able to stay a week or two if it was available at that time. Dells happily said she would love to have me back as I would absolutely stay there again and or recommend family/friends when they come visit me. I got a one bedroom for a reason, wink wink! The "Guest Quarters" was the original kitchen of the 1883 home, which was built by Julia Drayton Hastie, heiress to the famous Magnolia-on-the Ashley Plantation, just 20 minutes away.

There are 2 primary suites with private bathrooms and a king bed and the other 2 bedrooms have a full bed and large bathroom to share.

Two large bedrooms are in a recently renovated historic home in walking distance of downtown Summerville. There is a full bath, fully furnished kitchen, dining room and living room. Relax with your morning coffee on the wrap-around front porch while enjoying the beautiful flowers and majestic live oaks. Downtown Charleston and local beaches are only 35 minutes away!

The space
One bedroom has a full bed and a twin bed with a chest of drawers and loveseat. There are two closets, one for personal belongings and one that contains extra towels, pillows and linens. There is a remote controlled ceiling fan which works only when the light switch on the wall is turned on. Blackout curtains allow for long restful sleep. The second bedroom, located off the kitchen, has a full bed, an antique chest, dresser, chair and large closet. It also has blackout curtains and a ceiling fan.
The dining room and living rooms are large rooms with 10-foot ceilings and mostly antique furniture. There are games and puzzles in the large corner cabinet in the dining room and lots of reading material in the living room bookcase. Both rooms have elegant mantles above the fireplaces that were once operational when the house was built in 1942. The living room has a ceiling fan. There are French doors between the dining and living room. The remodeled kitchen is fully furnished with coffeemaker, microwave, gas stove and electric oven and refrigerator. The back porch has large screened windows, a table and chairs for relaxing or reading while enjoying the morning sun. There is also a washer/dryer on the back porch. The bathroom contains a tub/shower, toilet, chair and large vanity. Be careful - water is very hot in this house! In the garage there is a grill and charcoal for guest use.

Guests have access to the dining and living rooms, full bath, 2 bedrooms and a fully furnished modern kitchen. A washer and dryer are available on the back porch for guest use. The wrap-around front porch with rockers, swing and antique joggling board are perfect for morning coffee or afternoon mint julep! This large property provides plenty of space for outside activities.

This listing is situated across the street from an active railway. Train frequency varies with the time of day. There is usually only one train that passes through between 10:00 pm and 5:00 am. The railway proximity has become part of the unique character of this listing; it will quickly become part of the flow of life on this corner lot. You will also hear the wind chimes on the front porch and the occasional hoot of an owl at night. The water is very hot in this house, so please be aware when bathing or using the kitchen. There are cleaning supplies, a broom and vacuum in the hall closet should you decide you need them. There are beach towels and a beach blanket in a tote bag in the small closet in the front bedroom. They are for guest use. If you notice the plants on the porches need water, feel free to water them!

This 880 square foot home & peaceful yard are located on a dead-end street off of a main highway.

A limited amount of basic amenities are provided (toilet paper, hand & dish soap), and sometimes there are other courtesy supplies (toiletries, cleaning products, laundry soap, paper towels, etc) in the house which you are welcome to use. Should you run out or find you need something, there are several stores close by for supplies.

Full kitchen (no dishwasher) with basic cooking and dining items (see photos), including coffee maker & toaster.

Fire TV, which has a "basic" seeing, or you can use to sign into your own Amazon account to access preferred channels. You may also switch the input to the Roku, which you may use to watch free channels or sign in to your own accounts (such as Netflix, Hulu, etc). Guest is responsible for signing out of any personal accounts they use.

One set of sheets, quilt, and two pillows per bed, extra quilt and pillows in each closet. The bedside lamps have a built in outlet for charging phones, etc.

Single bathroom with tub/shower combo. Please be mindful that the bathroom is not equipped with safety features such as non-slip bottom or grab bars. There is a reusable vinyl tub mat if you wish to use it.

2 beds can sleep up to 4 people, but take into consideration that the water heater is 38 gallons (rated for 2-3 people), so showers, laundry, dishes, etc. may need to be spaced accordingly.

We thoroughly clean & sanitize in between each guest, but we do expect guests to leave the house neat at checkout.

If you're tall, you might find the shower head a bit low. Also, the water diverter on the shower head drips while tub faucet is running.

To keep our property in good condition, we have a few requests:

★Please keep vehicles on gravel, do not drive or turn around on the grass.

★Refrain from putting up your own decorations or signs in the house or yard. (including seasonal or holiday decor, lights, ornaments, signs, etc)

★ Please be aware that use of certain toiletries/products that are oil-based or contain chemicals such as benzoyl peroxide can cause permanent discoloration on fabric, and we ask that you avoid use of them with towels and bedding.

Guest access
This is a room rental only however, you have full access to the entire home, with the exception of 2 additional guest bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own digital door lock. You'll be able to self check-in to the property as well.

The kitchen, dining, and family room. laundry and patio are all shared spaces. We ask that you put your dirty dishes into the dishwasher and clean any pots/pans you use so that other guests will have access to clean items. Please be respectful of others staying in the property!

There are cushions for the patio chairs in the basket next to the slider. Please bring them in when you are finished and do not leave them outside overnight.

There are two owners closets and a garage that are not included with your rental.

During your stay
My daughter is available to answer questions or help in any way when she is home, on-site. When she is away, I am available to answer any questions or resolve any problems.

I am always accessible through the airbnb app and I do not live far away.

Come experience your home away from home in our quiet gated community which includes a king and queen bed, a Gourmet kitchen fully equipped with granite countertops, a washer and dryer set, garden tub,walk-in shower, and faux wood. The amenities that are accessible include a volleyball court, pet park and so much more. We are located minutes from I 26 and two minutes from the Nexton, Carnes Crossroads, and Cane Bay area which all have great shopping, entertainment, and dining.

The space
Rooms and closets are very spacious providing dresser, hangers and luggage racks. You will have a king bed in the first room and a queen bed in the second room. There is an air mattress available if needed. You will have a screened-in patio with chairs and a table. There is a washer and dryer available in the apartment adjacent of the dining area. You will have a fully stocked kitchen, dining area, living room area with two couches and two Roku TVs.
