The river is gorgeous, and the sunsets were out of this world. The hot tub was not full and stunk like ammonia, but we set it anyway! - "We loved the cabin we stayed in. It was clean, extremely spacious, easy to get to, working wifi, and parking close by. Based on the reviews I read before booking I thought I would share things I found in common or helpful. The property sent the email with information about our stay very promptly. However, because we booked only a few hours before checking in our name was not on the door. After looking, I found which cabin # was ours at the bottom of our receipt email from hotel.com. I do wish they would have given info in the email on how to get the key because to me it was not intuitive to figure out. If I hadn't been traveling with another adult that figured it out I would have needed to contact the property owners. It feels slightly deceiving the way the property is listed on hotel.com. It says in the overall description "with kitchen". However as I looked at the availabile properties for our nights stay it was clear only in pictures that not all cabins have kitchens. So I would suggest looking at the pictures of the specific cabin you are considering before booking your room to make sure the amenities are to your expectations. We provide a beautiful suite in our cabin overlooking Henry's Lake off US 87 in Island Park Idaho. Our cabin is 15 minutes away from West Yellowstone by car and is located 3.5 miles from the US 87/US 20 junction. Easy access to Yellowstone National Park. Excellent fishing, boating and water activities as well as hiking etc. Views of Henry's lake and mountains from our cabin. There is access to the lake down the road from the cabin and boat rentals available nearby. Opportunities to view elk, deer, moose, bears, and other wildlife on the mountainside behind the cabin. We are renting the first floor of our three level house. We prefer Covid Vaccinations for our safety and the safety of our guests.The bedroom in the suite has a queen bed We sleep 2 in the suite. There is a microwave, toaster, coffee pot with coffee, a refrigerator and freezer with ice. There is also a dining room table and chairs, a sofa, and two recliners. We have dishes, silverware, paper plates, and most anything else you may need. There is a wrap around deck with a covered patio and barbecue which is accessible to guests. This beautiful, smoke-free guest cabin in Island Park, Idaho, which sleeps up to 3 people, sits on an acre and a half of property, along with the main cabin. This cozy approx. 500 sq. ft. guest cabin is in a vacation home area, tucked in the woods with a view of Henry's Lake, pastures and mountains. It is located on a private road with easy access to the national forest.

There is one bedroom with a queen-size bed and a small sleeping room with a twin-size bed. There is one bathroom with a shower, which has been newly-remodeled. The kitchenette has a microwave, a toaster/oven and a small refrigerator. There is a box freezer and standard size refer/freezer in the storage area which can also be used. There also is a barbecue on the deck for your use.

This area is a year-round recreational paradise! Hike, mountain bike, cross country ski and snowmobile right from your door. Fly fish the Henry's Fork, Madison and Gallatin Rivers, Henry's Lake, Hebgen Lake, Island Park Reservoir, and the lakes and streams of Yellowstone National Park...they're all within an hour's drive. Snowmobile on over 600 miles of groomed trails available in the area. Downhill ski at Big Sky and Grand Targhee, both within a 90-minute drive.

This cozy guest cabin is within easy driving distance of Big Springs and the Johnny Sack cabin, Harriman State Park, Mesa Falls Scenic Byway, Red Rock National Wildlife Refuge, Quake Lake, and the historic mining town of Virginia City, Montana. The cabins sleep 6 comfortably in 2 queen beds: One in the bedroom on the main level and one in the upstairs loft. 2 Twin beds in upstairs loft. Bed, bath and kitchen linens are all provided. A full sized washer and dryer help you pack for your vacation a little lighter so you have room in your suitcase to take home souvenirs!

The kitchen features full size appliances so you can easily bring groceries with you and prepare food for your friends and family.

Summer activities include excursions to Yellowstone Park, Harriman State Park or Hebgan Lake. Perhaps you prefer to pack a picnic and hike or bicycle up the private mountain behind the cabin. We recommend you take time to view Mesa Falls waterfall, drive to the top of Sawtelle mountain, float the river from Big Springs to Macks Inn, visit the Johnny Sack historic cabin and of course take a moment to just relax and breath!

This beautiful, smoke-free guest cabin in Island Park, Idaho, which sleeps up to 3 people, sits on an acre and a half of property, along with the main cabin. This cozy approx. 500 sq. ft. guest cabin is in a vacation home area, tucked in the woods with a view of Henry's Lake, pastures and mountains. It is located on a private road with easy access to the national forest.

There is one bedroom with a queen-size bed and a small sleeping room with a twin-size bed. There is one bathroom with a shower, which has been newly-remodeled. The kitchenette has a microwave, a toaster/oven and a small refrigerator. There is a box freezer and standard size refer/freezer in the storage area which can also be used. There also is a barbecue on the deck for your use.

This area is a year-round recreational paradise! Hike, mountain bike, cross country ski and snowmobile right from your door. Fly fish the Henry's Fork, Madison and Gallatin Rivers, Henry's Lake, Hebgen Lake, Island Park Reservoir, and the lakes and streams of Yellowstone National Park...they're all within an hour's drive. Snowmobile on over 600 miles of groomed trails available in the area. Downhill ski at Big Sky and Grand Targhee, both within a 90-minute drive.

This cozy guest cabin is within easy driving distance of Big Springs and the Johnny Sack cabin, Harriman State Park, Mesa Falls Scenic Byway, Red Rock National Wildlife Refuge, Quake Lake, and the historic mining town of Virginia City, Montana. Day trips also can be made to Teton National Park, Jackson, Wyoming, and Bozeman, Montana.

The owners, Rich and Diane Hunt, live in the main cabin on the property and are there to assist you.

The cabins sleep 6 comfortably in 2 queen and 2 twin beds: One queen in the bedroom on the main level with the upstairs loft offering one queen and two twins. You'll feel right at home in the mountains with the forest themed interior decor. Bed, bath and kitchen linens are all provided. A full sized washer and dryer help you pack for your vacation a little lighter so you have room in your suitcase to take home souvenirs!

The kitchen features full size appliances so you can easily bring groceries with you and prepare food for your friends and family. Pots, pans, utensils all provided. You will want to bring your own foil and sandwich bags for those picnic lunches you take to the park with you.

The living room has satellite TV (Dish network). However, we find ourselves on the front porch watching for deer and moose that frequent the area or just sitting and "taking it all in!"

The property is located at 4787 Pinon Street, just off Highway 20, West on Redrock Road, 1/4 mile, then turn south on Pinon Street, 1st home on your right, in the Aspen Ridge Subdivision, only 17 miles from Yellowstone National Park! The main floor has a ping pong table, foosball table, elliptical, big screen TV with Dish Network. Just outside the sliding glass door is where the forest begins. Upstairs off the main bedroom you can sit outside on the porch and enjoy a cookie and cup of coffee surrounded by the beauty of nature. Your spacious mountain cabin has a comfortable queen bed in each of its two private bedrooms. In addition, there are 2 queen beds and 1 twin sized bed in the loft for your comfort. Travel south on Highway 20 from your place and you can visit the roaring Mesa Falls, experience the wonder of Johnny Sack Cabin at Big Springs or the majesty of Sawtelle Peak. There is world class fly fishing on Henry's Fork of the Snake River or on the Madison River. Enjoy a live dinner theater close by at Mack's Inn Playhouse. Relax and soak up nature during a float trip, on hiking trails, during a horseback ride, or even a round of golf at Island Park Village Resort. Take a few hours to hike around Harriman State Park or visit their historical ranch community. This location is a snowmobiler's paradise. Take your sled to some of the area's best trails accessible right from your cabin's front door! There is definitely something for every level of rider. Enjoy over 500 miles of trail riding or be a little more adventurous boondocking in some of the softest over-the-hood powder ever! Ride the best back country hills and steep climbs that you can possibly imagine!

During the winter months we keep the main driveway plowed and the walkways cleared. For your convenience, a snow shovel will greet your arrival at the front door in case any additional snow has fallen. The driveway in front of the cabin will accommodate 2-3 vehicles. There is a convenient large parking area less than 3/4 of a mile just off Highway 20 for trailers. You are welcome to drive your sleds up to the cabin so you can hit the trails early! High clearance, 4WD is necessary for Island Park and Yellowstone's mountain terrain during the winter or with snowstorms. During the winter, please check on parking availability a few days prior to your arrival.

The area is known for its native wildlife with a mamma moose actually bedding down right in your yard! Keep an eye out for fox, elk, deer, and a beautiful array of birds and woodland creatures in the adjacent aspen grove. If you listen closely, you may hear the calls of the resident bald eagle and her two chicks. Your cabin is definitely a nature lover's peaceful retreat! Please note that there are all sorts of wildlife in the mountains so you may consider bringing your favorite repellent and be sure to do what you can to not bring them into the cabin with you. And, when booking any cabin in the woods, you will expect to encounter insects, spiders and other wildlife. It is part of the experience. Your cabin is not hermetically sealed so bugs, spider, and all sorts of wildlife may enter the property. Please keep the doors closed so they do not enter unexpectedly.

A starter supply of coffee service, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner, body wash and dish soap are provided. However, depending on personal preference or consumption, you may need to bring or buy extra supplies during your stay. There is a small county grocery store North on Highway 20 called Sam Patch Co. where we do all of our shopping when we stay at the cabin.

This is a NON-SMOKING cabin. We are also under a county ordinance for short term rentals and ask that our guests please stay in compliance for their safety and health. We ask that you please stay within capacity limits, read the burn ordinance and please be neighborly. Please be aware that this cabin is on community electrical and WIFI systems and we pass along the most current recommendations from them to our guests as applicable. For protection, video and audio can be motion activated and monitored on the outside of the property at the back door and front door looking out toward the parking area. By booking this property you acknowledge and agree to the rental agreement that is sent with a confirmed reservation. You are also responsible to your own health and safety during and after you stay at this property and management and/or owners are not liable. And travel insurance is good to have if you are worried about anything that may hinder your ability to stay.

This beautiful cabin is located just 15 minutes from Yellowstone National Park. We are located in a quiet neighborhood where you can enjoy beautiful evening walks and avoid the hustle and bustle of West Yellowstone. Most of the property surrounding Wolf Run is undeveloped. This gives you plenty of privacy and space. We happily provide many amenities such as free wifi and complimentary coffee to make you feel at home. If there is something you need, feel free to contact Justin, the property manager. He lives just across the street and is available throughout the day. The cabin has one very large bedroom that accommodates a very comfortable king and queen bed. The family/TV room offers a wraparound couch that folds out to a full size bed. The cabin throughout is decorated with Native American art and furniture made from a local craftsman. The cabin has a kitchenette with a table and four chairs, large toaster oven, utensils, microwave, kettle, and small fridge. We recommend simple meals where an oven/stovetop is not needed. We do have a nice bbq grill outside to cook up burgers, hot dogs, etc. Keep in mind, the rental is located on the second floor and has to be accessed via stairs. The garage below is just used for storage. Most visitors are on their way to Yellowstone for the day. There are also many rivers and lakes within a short drive. The world famous Henrys Fork/Lake is a very short drive. We provide a booklet on the table with all the information you’ll need. Please enjoy.

Cozy get away tucked away in the woods.. fire pit for hot dogs and s’mores, or fresh fish caught from the Island Park reservoir, which is a short walk from the cabin.. It’s close to hiking, ATV trails, kayaking, boating and fishing spots. The cabin is about 25-30 minutes from the gates of West Yellowstone.. The best part of your stay will be after your done with an exhausting fun filled day of activities, the master bedroom has a comfortable Eastern King size bed for a good nights sleep..

Cabin has queen size bed for sleeping. This listing is suitable for two people sharing a queen size bed.

Cabin does have electrical! Functioning overhead lights, outlets, mini fridge, and TV. Does not have stove/oven available. There is a microwave, keurig coffee machine and various kitchen comforts located in the common area for warming up small meals.

Ho' Down Hut is all for guests. You may share creek area with occasional other guests. More than likely you will share the space with the resident mama moose and her two babies. The bathrooms are a shared space. There is another rental that uses the bathrooms and RV spots share them. Generally there isn’t much traffic in the bathrooms at the same time.

Other things to note
This cabin does not have a kitchen. It does have some kitchen appliances such as keurig coffee pot and small fridge. The bathrooms are equipped with toilets, full size showers, sinks and cabinets.

ROADS: This home is in a mountain town. As such, you can expect dirt roads, potholes (due to things like traffic and rain), and slow speed limits. We recommend driving appropriate vehicles for the conditions.

Located only 20 minutes from the West entrance to Yellowstone Park, this is a great spot to be the base of all your fun. Recently built with the basics for your trip. The kitchen, living room, and bedroom are upstairs. The full bathroom and washer/dryer are downstairs on the main floor. WiFi with a smart TV mean you can stream your favorite movie/TV shows when not out exploring all the amazing scenery!

The space
The bedroom features one queen and one twin bed with plentiful closet space.

The kitchenette space is equipped with most all the cooking utensils and supplies you'll need. The living area has a couple comfy couches and a smart TV. Downstairs is a washer and dryer set to make you feel right at home, along with the bathroom. There's a private entrance so you can feel comfortable and secure.

The cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood with short driving distance to the West entrance to Yellowstone National Park (20 minutes).

WiFi, towels, sheets, toilet paper, paper towels, are included. Driveway with parking space for one or two vehicles. If you need to park extra vehicles or trailers, there's a large parking space just off highway 20 when you pull that's got all the space you'll need. (RV's and camper trailers not allowed on property)

One or two dogs are welcome. We charge a $30/day pet fee. And we require that they never get on the furniture or beds. Even good dogs can get anxious when left alone in a new place and that is when they damage things. So your dog must be in a crate if you leave him behind in the cabin. (We do not provide the crate.) To keep the cabin beautiful, you are responsible to pay for any damage caused by your dog.

Guest access
You'll have access to the loft including the washer/dryer, everything upstairs, the fire pit out back, and the parking space out front! Usually, there is some wood to burn near the fire pit. If not, you're responsible for getting fire wood at Robins Roost just a couple minutes away.

Other things to note
What to bring with you!- You're coming to a wilderness area to vacation and if you plan your vacation well you will have a positive experience. In the summertime May and through the middle of June can tend to be cooler early morning and toward the evening hours. Make sure to bring a jacket and long pants you can change into when needed. Bring a pair of tie up shoes to protect your feet. Shoes likes flip flops or sandals will not protect your feet when you are out exploring. Layering your clothing is a good idea and then if your too warm you can take off clothing as needed. At least this way when departing your cabin early morning to go site seeing you will have what you need with you. July and August are pretty warm and you should still bring a light jacket. The rest of the year you will want to bring heavier jackets and long underwear, snow suits etc. You will need to bring your private toiletries like bar soap and shampoo as we do not provide this for you. Cabins are equipped with everything else you should need except food of course. Snow tires and four-wheel-drive are recommended for traveling in Eastern Idaho during the winter. Road conditions can change quickly, and even well-traveled highways are occasionally closed by blizzards or high winds. Before setting out, check the Transportation Department's website or call 511 for an automated, up-to-the-minute status of all thoroughfares. Wise motorists will also carry emergency gear (shovel, snack bars, water, blankets) in their vehicles to be ready for any contingency. Coming Snowmobiling? A reminder to anyone traveling back country areas whether skiing, snowmobiling or hiking: Remember the time of year, exercising all back country cautions. Take necessary equipment and survival gear when venturing into the back country. If you have a GPS and cell phone, be sure to take them with you, but do not rely on them entirely for a safe rescue if you find yourself in trouble or stranded. Cell phones should be kept close to your body & turned off to keep the battery full, so it's not searching for a signal & running the battery down. Avalanche Transceivers and equipment, knowing what the avalanche conditions are, and knowing skills to save lives are a must for everyone entering back country riding or traveling. Plan ahead. Make sure you know the area you are going into before heading into it. If you find yourself in trouble, stop, take a look around you, and do not go any further. The further you go the more complicated and dangerous it is to get yourself to safety, also making rescue efforts more difficult and dangerous. Make mental notes in relation to any physical features or landmarks that would assist in your rescue. Make a plan, stick to your plan, narrow the riding area, & most of all...let someone know WHERE you are planning to go!
