Would stay again but not in the room we had (#12) as the access isn’t the best - I’m 6’ 3” and the entrance door is only about 5’ 2”. In fairness there’s no way of making it taller without extensive rework of the roof and there isn’t a headroom concern once inside the room that was lovely. The food, both in the evening and at breakfast, was excellent. Very nice complimentary chocolates in the room too."

When you get to my front door (it's yellow) you will find your key in the lockbox on the wall opposite. It is between the two Boxball bushes. Just take ONE key please and leave any others in the lockbox.. When you have the key turn it ANTI clockwise in the lock.

The only house rule is to take off your shoes please before going up the stairs. Your room is on the 1st floor and has the ensuite bathroom.

A large Victorian house, set in beautiful friendly historic town of Harrogate. The room is double sized, with built in wardrobes. The property is set in a leafy neighbourhood surrounded by historic buildings, 10 minutes walking distance to town with all its restaurants/bars, 3 minutes drive (10 minutes walk) to the bus/train station and 30 minutes drive to Leeds/Bradford Airport. Visit the famous Betty's Cafe Tea Rooms or Yorkshire Dales National Park, Knaresborough or Ripley Castle.

The space
You will have a room with a single bed. Access the Kitchen/Dinner, where tea and coffee are provided along with all utensils. The shared living room is just down the hallway, which your welcome to use. There's a bathroom on the top floor and first floor which you can use. These facilities may be shared with other guests.

Expect basic accommodation for dog-walkers, bikers, birders, stargazers or remote workers who value an unpretentious, 19th century rustic stone farmhouse, offering wifi, a double and single bedroom both with study space, a private bathroom, share a lounge, kitchen and garden. One of the numerous public footpaths leads to the local Feversham Arms Inn in Church Houses, whilst its a 20 minute drive to the shops, cafes, take-aways and pubs of Kirkbymoorside.

Other things to note
There is an ATM outside the Coop in Kirkbymoorside. Local pubs do take cards. It is safest to book meals at the pubs to guarantee availability and last meal times are 8:00pm. It is very dark at night which is excellent for star gazing, but you will need a torch when accessing the property which is up a grassy slope from the driveway. You may not see us, as we come and go, commuting back and forth. There is no reliable mobile phone reception in the dale but there are public phone at Low Mill and Church Houses. There is a defibrillator at Church Houses.
