Located in historic Chester, this beautiful home sports a lawn play area with a rustic creek running through the side yard and views of the mountains.

There are three bedrooms suitable for three couples and one single bedroom good for kids and adults that want a little independence. The living room has a sofa bed that sleeps two, a wood stove, a table for playing board games and a large sectional couch. The updated kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils and the dining table can accommodate up to ten guest.

The downstairs cowboy master bedroom has a king size bed and a on-suite bathroom with a shower. Next to the kitchen is the downstairs second bathroom with a shower and an oversized bathtub. Upstairs has a second master bedroom, two smaller ones and a ½ bathroom. When the house is full, eight guests can sleep in the four bedrooms and two guests can sleep in the pull-out couch in the living room. The nocturnal ones can hang out in the kitchen dining area away from all the sleeping guest.

The space is equipped with an outdoor barbecue, linens, laundry facilities, DVDs, Internet, TV with Netflix and You Tube, books, board games, children’s items, picnic supplies, a wood stove, and lots of other goodies to make many memories.

This cabin is located on Lake Almanor West's Golf Course 3rd hole green with a beautiful pond and fountain right out the back deck! Also, while off the front deck you can view the beautiful Lake Almanor. The boat launch is less than a mile a way and so is the big recreation center with bocce ball, bbq's, children's playground, volleyball, basketball and more.

This two story home has vaulted ceilings, a gourmet kitchen with breakfast bar, open great room, fireplace, surround sound stereo system throughout the upstairs. There is a primary bedroom with a king bed on the main level and two other bedrooms on the lower level with queen beds. There is a full bathroom in the master with a half bath next to the kitchen and family room, and a full bath downstairs for the two queen bedrooms to share. Built in 2008 and nestled among huge pine and fir trees, you will enjoy views of the lake sitting on the balcony while you grill a steak or sip wine in this private setting. The lake is located several hundred feet across a beautiful meadow in front of the house. We often have bald eagles and osprey soaring over the bay and perching in the trees by the house and deer feeding in the meadow.
Walk along the lake or take our canoe or the kayak for an evening paddle around Goose Bay. The house is conveniently located less than a mile walk to the west Almanor Park recreation beach complete with a big grassy play area, shady pine trees and a sandy beach. It also has a playground for kids and usually has a vollyball net set up. Approximately one mile away you will find the private boat launch and paved walking and bike trails. A spectacular West Lake Almanor public golf course is located less than a mile from the house. You will also find the tennis and pickleball courts right down the street on Slim Drive as you drive to the golf course. The home is 5 miles from the town of Chester where quaint shops, restaurants, and an awesome, fully stocked local grocery store, Holiday Market, can be found.
This home features 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a loft with two single beds for children or young adults. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed with a smart TV. The house is perfect for 2 couples, or families with children. as the loft has lots of kids toys and the Goose Bay is right across from the house.
This air conditioned house, on the lake has a master bedroom with a queen size bed, Bedroom #2 also has a queen bed, and the downstairs bedroom had a queen bed and its own private bathroom. - "The view from the living room/deck makes this place worth it. Looking at Mt. Lassen glowing with the first rays of the sun over Lake Almanor while drinking our morning coffee was just amazing. Great location, very easy access from Hwy 89, but we never really noticed any highway noise. Our only complaint was not so much the house but the description, the main bedrooms and baths are upstairs while the lower level is just the laundry room and the murphy bed/bathroom. Also you have go through the main bedroom to reach the loft which could be a little awkward in certain situations. None of this would have prevented us from enjoying this property and we would absolutely stay here again."

We take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. In response to the coronavirus, we have taken additional measures developed in consultation with global and local public health authorities (including the WHO and CDC) to make our cleaning and hygiene protocols even more rigorous. As always, all towels, sheets, blankets, etc are bleached after each stay, we disinfect all counters, floors, and bathrooms, and we sanitize all door handles, etc. Anything with a high touch point is disinfected multiple times before guests check-in and after guests checks out.

It was just like staying at home, but near a beautiful lake. The neighborhood was quiet and listening to a nesting bird and other birds in the area was great. It was in the 80s when we stayed but the house stayed cool under the trees and there is air conditioning in case you need it. The wind rustling through the trees was also very relaxing. We rode bikes and kayaked on Lake Almanor. The lake is the highest I have seen in years. Fishing was great and my brother who was staying south of us on the lake caught a lot of native brown trout. You can pick up groceries in Chester which is about six miles away. We always shop at the Holiday Market in Chester which has everything you need. They also sell gas in the back parking lot. Highly recommend this home if you want to get away and enjoy Lake Almanor at its prettiest!"

The space
Our little house is a one bedroom, one bathroom home. We have a tv in the bedroom and one in the living room. We have Wi-Fi on premises. We have a single use coffee pot in the kitchen and a hair dryer in the bathroom! Nothing is worse then getting someplace and not having these two items!
There are three (3) steps to get into the house, but once inside only the shower has a lip to step over.
There is a laundromat in town if you are in need of that service.
You are also able to take your RZR straight from the little house to the nearby logging roads to ride and go on an adventure.
Please take in consideration… we are located in a small mountain town. Our cell phone services can be very spotty, but the trade-off is … it is a very beautiful destination!

Our guests will have access to the whole little house and the patio! And parking is right outside the gate to the property!

The home has a pull out full couch downstairs and full bunk bed upstairs. The kitchen has full sized appliances and is fully stocked. The bathroom upstairs has a shower and bath tub. Extra linens are available for your use. The bedroom is loft style.

The driveway is paved giving guests room to park their boats, jet ski and other toys.

Power outages are frequent in California, especially in the mountains. If the power goes out, there is not an onsite generator.

Our home sits at the edge of Chester which creates privacy along with markets & restaurants near by.
Breathe in the fresh mountain air, relax & rejuvenate, while you take in the breathtaking view of the meadow.

The space
Our cabin has two stories facing the meadow. The living room, one of the bathrooms and kitchen are on the first floor. The two other bedrooms and bathroom are on the second floor. The primary bedroom has a king bed. The nautical room has 2 full beds, and the downstairs bedroom has a queen bed.
There’s a shower in both bathrooms. We also haveTV's in all rooms. There is a laundry room as well.
Our outdoor space has a cocktail table on the front porch, and the backyard has a sitting area, fire pit, and charcoal bbq.

(like most homes in the area, we do not have air conditioning. We have provided fans in every room for your comfort. We also suggest opening the windows in the evening to let in the cool air.)

The home is clean, comfortable and very inviting. The outdoor space is unbelievable! Sit by the creek during the Spring, Summer and Fall or cozy up inside in the comfortable living room and dining room. Outdoor dining space with screens and a heater, as well as the dock on the water make it a perfect place to relax. 3 Bedrooms as well as a loft space with 2 daybeds. The kitchen is nicely appointed and plenty of room for everyone! The property has a beautiful lawn area to rest and relax or take the canoe out on the creek. Definitely a home for families and individuals looking to relax and make memories.

Other things to note
The stairway to the upstairs bedrooms are pretty steep please consider that if you have toddlers or small children. Tuesday mornings the yard crew comes in to mow and blow. They are super professional and are done in no time! Tuesday is also the day the trash is picked up and we would appreciate it if you are staying overnight on Monday to please take the green can to the curb by 8 am Tuesday. Please be aware we are in the mountains. PG and E can turn the power off for safety reasons during extreme weather.

Home in the Center of Historic Chester

The space
Located in historic Chester, this beautiful home sports a lawn play area with a rustic creek running through the side yard and views of the mountains.

There are three bedrooms suitable for three couples and one single bedroom good for kids and adults that want a little independence. The living room has a sofa bed that sleeps two, a wood stove, a table for playing board games and a large sectional couch. The updated kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils and the dining table can accommodate up to ten guest.

The downstairs cowboy master bedroom has a king size bed and a on-suite bathroom with a shower. Next to the kitchen is the downstairs second bathroom with a shower and an oversized bathtub. Upstairs has a second master bedroom, two smaller ones and a ½ bathroom. When the house is full, eight guests can sleep in the four bedrooms and two guests can sleep in the pull-out couch in the living room. The nocturnal ones can hang out in the kitchen dining area away from all the sleeping guest.

The space is equipped with an outdoor barbecue, linens, laundry facilities, DVDs, Internet, TV with Netflix and You Tube, books, board games, children’s items, picnic supplies, a wood stove, and lots of other goodies to make many memories.

Start your stay by walking five minutes into town and join the locals for a cup of coffee and a breakfast bagel (Coffee Station), then take a stroll around the Historic Red Barn (Olson Barn circa 1914) at the end of town and walk in the meadow at the edge of Lake Almanor. Take your boat south 20 minutes to the public boat launch and go fishing for the day. Take a visit to one of our National Parks (Lassen Volcanic Park). Upon your return, you can relax by the creek while BBQing your dinner. Kids love to play around the creek and partake in outdoor games while the adults have an evening drink in the covered porch. Later you can have dinner at the outdoor picnic table; afterwords, take an evening walk up Lassen Street and admire the old historic homes of yesteryear while hearing the faint sounds of nearby grazing cattle.

Not in the mood to cook? Take a two-minute walk for the best pizza and salad in Northern California (The Pizza Factory). A five-minute drive away is fine dining at the Steak House (Timber House) and other dining choices from Mexican to Chinese food. In a golfing mood, there are two golf courses within a 20-minute drive from the house. If you like to bike, there are several bike trails and logging roads around Chester to explore.

There is a full dresser and rack with hangers for your use in the upstairs bedroom . In the kitchen, the top two shelves in the island are empty to store your dry goods. There are board games in the entertainment center in both living rooms as well and a DVD player with some movies. There are also some board games in the entertainment center in the game room. The garage has been converted into a Game Room with a ping pong table, pool table, darts, and other games with a futon that converts into a queen bed making 6 beds available for your use.

- All the linen/bedding for the sofa bed upstairs and pillows are in the window seat to the left of the dining table.

- The bedding for the downstairs sofa bed is in the coffee table/trunk and the pillows are located in the closet with an extra blanket.

- Bedding for the futon in the Game Room is located in the downstairs bedroom closet.

- Please pick up after your dogs. There will be a fee of $25 if the housekeeper has to pick up doggie doo doo.

- Do not allow your pets on the furniture.

- Trash goes to the street Monday night for pickup on Tuesday morning. We kindly ask that if you are staying on a Monday, that you kindly bring the cans to the street.

The living room TV is a smart TV with all the streaming apps. There is a portable AC unit available in the garage if it gets extra warm during the summer.

Lake Almanor an absolutely wonderful place to be in northern California for boating and enjoying all the water activities. This vacation home is an easy 0.25 miles from the Lake Almanor West boat launch.
The elevation at the lake is approximately 4800 feet. The summers are sunny and beautiful and perfect for hiking, running, biking and fishing!

Lake Almanor West has a beautiful 9-hole golf course with a putting green, driving range, and comfortable indoor/outdoor restaurant. Golf and the restaurant are open over Memorial Weekend through October.
There is a private park for members and their guests. There's a special play area for smaller children, volleyball, basketball court, picnic tables, beach and swimming area.
The boat launch area is for the community only with vehicle parking for day use of all boaters. There is a boat rental service directly south of the community about 2 miles away.

Other things to note
A $750 security/damage deposit has conditions that the guest agrees to when the guest makes their payment to stay at the home.
These conditions are:
- No damage has been made to the home or contents
- No smoking on the property
- No pets inside the home
- No illegal substance or activities on premise
- House items including pillows, blankets, tools, games, books and movies have not been lost or removed from the home.
- No long distant phone calls have been charged to the owner's phone during your stay.
- No child under 14 years of age should be left unattended in or around an open hot tub
- A lost house key creates a security risk and requires us to rekey all the locks for the home at your expense.
- Lost tennis court key will be replaced at your expense

Absolutely beautiful Lindal Cedar home on the Golf Course in Lake Almanor West. Beautiful views of the course across two fairways. This home offers plenty of room for all with spacious great room and recreation room complete with wet bar. High soaring open beam ceilings in the great room. Abundance of windows offers lots of natural light. Hickory hardwood floors and pine cabinetry. Cell Phones do work there, but unfortunately there is no WIFI.
