The beautifully remodeled kitchen is equipped with new stainless steel fridge, dish washer, and stove. It is fully stocked with all the essentials for making breakfast to preparing full family meals. We have a full size oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave. We provide pots, pans, toaster, food storage, mixing bowls, blender, Keurig Coffee Maker, Drip Coffee Machine, and wine glasses.

*Salt and Pepper, and coffee creamer and sugar are provided, but any other condiments or perishables are not provided for sanitary purposes.

The spacious main bedroom is at the back of the house on the second story and has direct access to a balcony with seating for 2. The master bedroom has a new king bed, black-out curtains and a cozy, full master bathroom connected. The master bedroom is setup for comfort and relaxation. The master bedroom houses a sofa bed for relaxation in front of the TV or fireplace, or for sleeping if you have extra guests. There is also a large master closet with a dresser and vanity with sink and mirror. The master bedroom boasts an indoor jacuzzi hot tub for 2, a 58" smart TV, and decorative fireplace.

Both bathrooms are full and have all the essentials one could need. Enjoy the use of the complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body-wash 3-in-1. Hair Dryers provided in both bathrooms. Master bathroom is adjacent to the master bedroom. Both bathrooms provide bathtub/shower combos. One bathroom is located on the main level, while the second bathroom is located upstairs on the second level.

*Linens are provided for all sleeping spaces as well as towels and washcloths. Please use the black makeup towels for removing makeup.

*The home is professionally and meticulously cleaned after each stay. We hire a professional cleaning crew to arrive promptly after each guest checks out.

Noise:
We are located in a quiet neighborhood behind the Grand Bear Resort. Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am to respect our neighbors.

Garbage Day:
All garbage can be left on the curb, out front, and will be picked up between 8 am and 4 pm daily. Please ensure that the garbage is in a garbage bag and tied shut. Garbage bags are provided.

Gardener: Yard Maintenance comes once a week. They typically come on different days and times (but never before 8:00am) They are outside (only) for an hour or so to do a quick cleanup of the yard and walkways. If you have any questions please contact us. Thank You!

We provide starters of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, soaps, toiletries and coffee pods.
Please note that you will need to purchase additional supplies if/when needed.

Keyless coded entry. Our home is your home during your stay. We will provide you with your personal entry code before arrival.

Guests will have access to the entire home and outdoor areas. We have two parking spaces in front of the cabin. Any additional vehicles beyond 2 will need to be parked in a different area. The parking spots are first come, first serve, although most residents respect the 2 parking stalls in front of each cabin.

This cabin is professionally cleaned after each guest by a professional cleaning crew. Brand cleaning products are used, as opposed to generic or off-brand products. All linens are sanitized and washed after each guest. The cleaning fee allows each guest peace of mind that their space is sanitized and up to hotel standards. Be weary of cabins without cleaning fees!

While we do sweep and cleanup the covered porch and front entryway after each stay, please note that due to weather, wind, native plants, dust and other factors these areas can experience debris/dust. Please contact us if you have any concerns. We do provide a broom for the outdoors (in the entryway next to the drying machine) that can be used at your convenience. Please also note that this is a State Park and cabin in the woods, so an occasional bug does make their way inside.

No parties, smoking of any kind in or around the property, no pets/animals (we have family with severe allergies), no additional guests that are not registered at the time of booking, quiet hours between 9pm and 8am. Thank you for understanding.

In the living area there was only a sofa and a loveseat, seating for 5 even though there were beds for 10. The balcony in the master suite showed some decay and did not look safe to use. We were disappointed at how far the cabins were from the town of Lasalle where the wedding was held that we were there to attend. I thought the unit was in Lasalle, but found it was in Lasalle county. Might have been my oversight when I booked. Overall, we were happy staying here, it was a good value for the price we paid."

- "The house, the yard, everything was great. But after staying in a couple VRBOs, it's the attention to detail that you appreciate! There was a fantastic supply of TP, which rare, but much appreciated! And the welcome basket for the pups made them feel so loved. It included two stuffies, a bag of treats and a roll of poop bags. We could tell they really do love pets as much as we love ours. We also really utilized the binder full of restaurant suggestions and places to go in the area! The pups had a wonderful time getting zoomies in the giant, fully fenced in yard. There was an area near the front that our puppy could have squeezed under, but I was easily able to block it with some wood, and there were no worries after that. House has a fun and quirky layout with "secret passages" (not really), and we had fun playing hide & seek with the pups inside. Had a great time, hope to come again soon!"

Welcome to the Ottawa Oasis! This pet friendly house comprises a downstairs unit with an in-law suite above. Just a 1 mile walk to downtown Ottawa and short drive to starved rock. Come back home after a long day hiking and cool off in the private inground pool. Cook dinner in either of the two kitchens in the house. Enjoy family game nights in the enclosed porch or playing pool.

There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor that include 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds. The upstairs has 1 bedroom with a queen bed, and 1 large bedroom/ living room that contains a day bed with two twin beds and 2 full sized futons (This room does have its own doors to close off the room into a bedroom).

There are 2 kitchens in the house 1 located on each level. Each are fully stocked.

**Please do not park in the shared driveway. Pull all the way up to the garage or there is plenty of parking on the street**

Although we are pet friendly, we do require a one time pet fee of $150 for the stay.

We love sharing our home with all our guests. However, due to prior disrespectful renters and property damage we will only accept booking requests from:

We want to disclose that we do have a noise monitoring device in this unit. This device ONLY monitors noise levels and alerts us when these levels reach a 75-decibel threshold (which is very loud) for more than 10 minutes straight. We understand large groups often book our home. We love our neighbors and do not want complaints about excessive noise levels.

We also have nest cameras at each entrance.

***Pool open May 24 through Oct 1, pool is not heated. We do keep a solar cover on it to maintain warmth. Pool depth ranges from 3 to 5 feet. The pool is serviced weekly by a professional pool service company. Since it is an outdoor pool there still may be debris in the pool at times.***

We do not have a washer/dryer available for guest use.

- "We had such a great time staying here! We had two families with two kids each along with my sister. We had plenty of room to spread out, play, relax, and even have some quiet time when needed. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make meals so we didn’t have to waste any precious pool play time going out to eat! :) Besides the pool, the kids had plenty of yard toys, games, and puzzles to keep them busy. We also felt safe with the kids playing. The pool has safety gates plus the yard is fenced in so the youngest (3 years old) could have some “freedom”. The adults loved the screen porch which let us play some rowdy evening card games without waking the kids. We definitely want to come back!"

Welcome to our Downtown Dwelling! This home is located 4 blocks from Washington Park in the heart of downtown Ottawa. Enjoy your day hiking the trails and seeing the beautiful waterfalls at Starved Rock State Park, then come back and take a short stroll downtown to enjoy the numerous festivities and restaurants Ottawa has to offer!

This house is cozy and comfortable, being roughly 600 square feet total. It offers a full sized kitchen, with everything needed to cook a family dinner. Beautifully remodeled bathroom with stand-up, walk-in shower. We offer a queen size bed with ample storage for clothes and a dedicated work space for traveling workers. In the living room we offer a queen sized pull out couch with a 55 inch TV and plenty of games for the kids.

Our home is located in the heart of downtown Ottawa. With this location, comes train noise. We are right next to an abandoned train track, which should not provide any noise. However, we are about 3 blocks from an active train track. Whistles may be heard every few hours throughout the day and night. They are faint but still may be noticeable if you are not used that kind of noise. We do provide a noise machine and earplugs for guests who may be light sleepers.

Welcome to the Starved Rock Retreat! This 4-bedroom, 2-bath home is located on Ottawa's southside. This home is located 8 miles from Starved Rock, 2 miles from downtown Ottawa, and only 2 blocks from Kroger Grocery. Enjoy your day hiking Starved Rock, then come home and relax with dinner on the back patio. Cap the night off with a family game night around the billiards and ping pong table.

This ranch house is spacious providing and open concept floor plan and no steps in the home. It offers a full-sized kitchen, with everything needed to cook a family dinner. There is a beautifully remodeled master bathroom off of the master King bedroom, as well as a full bathroom shared between the two queen bedrooms and the dual twin bedroom. Each bedroom offers ample storage, and the master bedroom offers a dedicated workspace for traveling workers. In the living room we offer a full-sized pull-out couch with a 58-inch Roku TV and plenty of games for the kids in the kitchen Cupboard. Finally, the entertainment room boasts a full sleeper futon, an additional TV, a full-size pool table and a ping pong table topper. The entertainment room also has a washer and dryer.

An old bank that has been transformed into an Airbnb. This charming Suite is 1 of 5 upstairs units. It is located on the Main Street surrounded by local stores and restaurants. One block from a local park, where the city typically will have cook outs. Parking in the back but you can drop-off luggage at the front door. Very safe neighborhood!

The space
This suite comfortably sleeps up to 2 guests. Keyless entry, personal microwave, mini refrigerator, and Keurig (some K-cups are provided) disposable cups and stirrers. Body soap, towels, and wash cloths. No kitchen. It has one full bath. One TV located in one room. TV guide and High-Speed internet if you would like to log into your own subscription (Netflix, Etc.) Includes a full bath. Enjoy the company of your guests and meet new people on the street!

My home is charming, not sophisticated. Enjoy walking to everything from this perfectly located home. Private 2nd floor twin bedroom, with private spilt bath makes getting ready easy. Private entrance to your upstairs suite, with private front porch to enjoy a morning cup of joe. No access to the rest of the home, but if you need anything, I'm just downstairs in the Owner's quarters. Walk from the Amtrak from Chicago! This is a convenient place to stay.

It's an older home, farmhouse built in 1876. I'm hopefully restoring it to some of it's original charm and character. Please click on each photo to see captions.

You'll have a private entrance to your second floor suite with a private split bathroom. No access to the rest of the home, but if you need anything, I'm just downstairs in the Owner's quarters.

My home was built in 1920 and consists of two floors and a basement. On the second floor, there are three private rooms available to rent, and two bathrooms that are shared. Also on the second floor, you’ll find a common room with a tv for watching movies and shelves full of books to read. There’s also a kitchenette (not quite completed) but it does have a refrigerator, microwave, and a Pizza pizzazz for fine dining:) There’s an exterior exit that leads down to the patio in the back.

Guest access
The guests have full access to all common areas of the house. If you want to cook, you can use the main kitchen. Laundry is available.

During your stay
I live in the home and would be available for any of your needs.

Other things to note
I do have two dogs. Cookie is my female bulldog and for whom my place is named after. And Max is a German Shepard. When you first arrive, they will have to sniff you
out but they are generally loving and accepting to everyone.

This home has everything you need and more for a peaceful and relaxing getaway spent with family and friends! Some of the key features to this home is the large deck area located in the rear, a fully stocked kitchen for the nights you decide to stay in, as well as a 4K LED Smart TV. The location of this home is in a quaint and quiet area but is conveniently and centrally located making it about a 35 minute drive to RIVIAN in Normal, IL as well as 25 minutes away from Starved Rock State Park.

The space
This is a 2-bedroom / 2.5 bath home with lots of space for the whole family to enjoy. Each bedroom includes a Queen sized memory foam mattress for more comfort. The living room contains an extremely comfortable and large couch as well as a Smart TV. The kitchen comes fully stocked with utensils and dishes. This home also contains a 2 car attached garage that is available to our guests.

This lower level efficiency apartment has all the comforts of home for your stay in Ottawa, IL- Starved Rock Country. The space has a twin-size daybed, a kitchenette for your cooking needs and a desk with ample workspace in case you "must" work during your stay. Located not far from downtown Ottawa, 15 minutes to Starved Rock State Park and 8 minutes to Sky Dive Chicago.

The space
The apartment is approx. 300 sq feet. The kitchenette is fully equipped for your cooking needs during your stay. Twin size daybed. There is a recliner for relaxing while watching the 50" Smart TV. Equipped with a desk for your work needs if you must work during your stay.

Other things to note
The apartment is located below another unit so we have a strict House Rule of Quiet Time (10 pm - 7 am). If this rule is not followed you will be asked to leave IMMEDIATLY. This rule is also enforced at the unit above for you as well.

Tucked away in the western suburbs, we are centrally located within driving distance of all of Chicagoland’s hottest destinations, but far enough away that you can leave the big city lights behind and get back without it taking forever. The entire basement has been renovated and is perfect for a couple seeking a weekend getaway. There are lots of good restaurants and many activities close by. You’ll enjoy peace and quiet while you rest and prepare for all your Chicagoland adventures!

When you walk in, you’ll be in our common area. The stairs to the basement is directly across from our kitchen. We live here and are active in our home but the basement and half bath will be private to you during your stay. The half bathroom does not include a shower. We do not have a shower available for public use.

Quaint pet friendly one bedroom just south of the river but close enough to walk to downtown restaurants, shopping, and events such as the Wine and Jazz Fest, Oktoberfest, Kringle Market and much more. Just a few blocks from the I&M canal path for walking or biking, and a quicks drive to Starved Rock State Park and Skydive Chicago. This property is duplex and you have a private upstairs apartment, with private entrance.

This is a freshly rehabbed property as of Jan 2021, and we created it from the ground up with travelers in mind. Your hosts have a passion for travel and hosting, so we have done our best to pack the most bang for the buck into an economy stay, and provide you with not just basics, but true comfort and a few little added luxuries as well.

The bedroom is appointed with a new queen sized memory foam mattress, and quality linens. 100% light blocking curtains over 100% light block shades are perfect for shift workers. All other windows are equipped with light blocking shades as well to help facilitate a restful stay.

Cozy queen-bed room with a private ensuite bathroom, just 3 minutes from Starved Rock State Park! Nestled in a vintage house with 3 other units, this retreat offers comfort and convenience. The only shared space within in the building is the hallway. This unit is located on the 2nd floor.

Relax in the shared courtyard with firepits or explore downtown North Utica, only a block away, with charming shops and dining. Perfect for a nature getaway or a peaceful escape!

The space
The Log Cabin room is located in our the Lodge building of the Lander's House and Lodging property. The property consists of 9 units and share a large fenced in courtyard with firepits for guests to enjoy. Our building has lots of charm but, as an older property, some sound may travel between units. We ask all guests to be mindful of noise and appreciate your understanding!

Guest access
You will access your unit through the shared main door then up the stairs will be your own private entrance to your room. It has a smart lock with a unique code for both doors.

You may use the shared courtyard behind the building which includes 5 firepits. Firewood is provided during the busy season (May to November).
