So my kids could not sleep in it and I had to go purchase an air mattress. I did advise the owner and while he did ask what was wrong with it, no solution was offered. The other down fall which had nothing to do with the owner, we're the upstairs neighbors, it sounds like they're pacing in clogs all night. It served its purpose for our stay though. Oh, and if you like to cook, bring knives, they only have 1 tiny one and it barely cuts. "

The property was very clean, we had the whole apartment (basement) to ourselves, with 2 rooms, a bathroom, and whole kitchen, and all the utensils needed. He was also so kind as to leave coffee and bread for us. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it was so far from Niagara Falls that we had to Uber at night and each ride was close to $50, so it did not make sense to save on lodging. Also during the weekend, there was no public transportation, but Sibi took us to our destination. I would highly recommend this place if you have a car, or you're just going to Niagara College in Welland. "

* Welland Canal Park & Civic Square (Welland): This area in downtown Welland has been designed to connect the city core with the canal. You'll find flexible green open spaces and viewing platforms right along the canal. It's a welcoming public space that offers great views of the waterway.
* Lock 8 and Fountainview Park (Port Colborne): While a bit further south in Port Colborne, Lock 8 offers an excellent observation stand and park area. Less than 30 minutes drive to everything you may want to visit - lake Erie, lake Ontario, Niagara Falls.
A newly renovated lower level separate unit, big windows above the ground with a lot of natural lights (not a basement). Separate side entrance behind the fence. Ideal for 1-2 people.

The space
This is a lower separate unit. The apartment features a bedroom with a comfortable queen bed and an en-suite bathroom. There is also a rec room that offers guest privacy, equipped with a sofa bed, a TV with Netflix and Amazon, Wi-Fi, and a kitchen. You will have your own private entrance at the side door, but please note that there is a common hallway that leads to the laundry area where we may occasionally meet.

Our family lives upstairs, so you may occasionally hear sounds from above. There is no designated handicap parking available; only regular street parking is offered. Additionally, there are a few steps to access the unit. This space is ideal for up to 2 guests or for a family of three (two adults and one child).
