The house can accommodate 7 couples if needed as well there is a bunkie out back which can sleep an additional 4 people. The beach (only a 5-10 minute walk from our front door) - Port Dover is known for its resort town vibes. The beautiful manicured sandy beach is a fantastic place to settle in and soak up the sun or take a romantic stroll along the boardwalk, stopping off for a cocktail and shopping in the unique boutiques.
The downtown strip - We may be a small town, but that doesn’t mean you won’t have a plethora of dining choices, from swanky restaurants to The Mule, a famous taco joint from Hamilton that’s just opened.

Watersports - While in town, make the most of Lake Erie by renting a paddle board, Sea-Doo or fishing boat. A day on the water is good for the soul.
Lynn Valley Trail and Falls - Hiking in Norfolk County is beautiful. We recommend taking advantage of the Lynn Valley Trail and seeing the falls along the way.

Festivals - Port Dover and Norfolk County host many festivals, but one that has a huge draw each year is the PD13 Motorcycle rally, recurring every Friday, the 13th. If you’re a motorcycle enthusiast or just love a good time, you won’t want to miss it.

Getting Around:
Getting here is a breeze. We’re located only 2 hours from downtown Toronto (50 minutes from Hamilton), making us the ideal place for an easy getaway. We recommend coming by car, but if you’re feeling adventurous, you can arrive by bike if you hit the trails from Hamilton to Brantford to Port Dover.

Once here, you can ditch your car and take advantage of how walkable our location is to the strip and the beach. But for errands or touring around the countryside, you’ll want to use your car or take advantage of the taxi and car-sharing services.

For your peace of mind, the property is equipped with exterior cameras, noise monitors, and signal detection to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our property for all our guests.

The Sea accommodates a maximum of 4 guests, including children (please note the suite is not childproof).

The Swell House is a unique 100-year-old historic home, and with all its charm and age may come some quirks, creaks, and noises.

Please remember you are staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space and neighbours with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on-site 24/7.

No unapproved guests or parties. This is a ZERO tolerance policy; if broken, you will be asked to leave. There is a security camera on-site, and we are able to see if people outside your group are visiting the home. This will result in an IMMEDIATE cancellation of your reservation with NO refund.

Noise Policy: Noise level MUST BE MINIMAL after 10 PM. There is a noise level city ordinance, and we can’t have any complaints. Violation of the noise/party rule will result in the police being called, termination of your reservation, and the security deposit retained. It is super important that we respect the peace of the community.

Because of the beautiful new flooring, we ask that you do not wear shoes throughout the house.

The beach (only a 5-10 minute walk from our front door) - Port Dover is known for its resort town vibes. The beautiful manicured sandy beach is a fantastic place to settle in and soak up the sun or take a romantic stroll along the boardwalk, stopping off for a cocktail and shopping in the unique boutiques.

The downtown strip - We may be a small town, but that doesn’t mean you won’t have a plethora of dining choices, from swanky restaurants to The Mule, a famous taco joint from Hamilton that’s just opened.

Watersports - While in town, make the most of Lake Erie by renting a paddle board, Sea-Doo or fishing boat. A day on the water is good for the soul.

Lynn Valley Trail and Falls - Hiking in Norfolk County is beautiful. We recommend taking advantage of the Lynn Valley Trail and seeing the falls along the way.

Festivals - Port Dover and Norfolk County host many festivals, but one that has a huge draw each year is the PD13 Motorcycle rally, recurring every Friday, the 13th. If you’re a motorcycle enthusiast or just love a good time, you won’t want to miss it.

Getting Around:
Getting here is a breeze. We’re located only 2 hours from downtown Toronto (50 minutes from Hamilton), making us the ideal place for an easy getaway. We recommend coming by car, but if you’re feeling adventurous, you can arrive by bike if you hit the trails from Hamilton to Brantford to Port Dover.

Once here, you can ditch your car and take advantage of how walkable our location is to the strip and the beach. But for errands or touring around the countryside, you’ll want to use your car or take advantage of the taxi and car-sharing services.

For your peace of mind, the property is equipped with exterior cameras, noise monitors, and signal detection to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our property for all our guests.
The Sun accommodates a maximum of 4 guests, including children (please note the suite is not childproof).

The Sun is a unique 100-year-old historic home, and with all its charm and age may come some quirks, creaks, and noises.

Please remember you are staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space and neighbours with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on-site 24/7.

No unapproved guests or parties. This is a ZERO tolerance policy; if broken, you will be asked to leave. There is a security camera on-site, and we are able to see if people outside your group are visiting the home. This will result in an IMMEDIATE cancellation of your reservation with NO refund.

Noise Policy: Noise level MUST BE MINIMAL after 10 PM. There is a noise level city ordinance, and we can’t have any complaints. Violation of the noise/party rule will result in the police being called, termination of your reservation, and the security deposit retained. It is super important that we respect the peace of the community.

Because of the beautiful hardwood flooring, we ask that you do not wear shoes throughout the house.

The property is not suitable for pets

We have a no-smoking policy.

A friendly French lady, Bibi, serves as the concierge of the property and lives in the basement but do have a private entrance and do not share the top floor space. You will be personally greeted by her and she will be there to support you and answer any questions. If guests need laundry services, she will do it for them upon request.

The downtown strip - We may be a small town, but that doesn’t mean you won’t have a plethora of dining choices, from swanky restaurants to The Mule, a famous taco joint from Hamilton that’s just opened.

Watersports - While in town, make the most of Lake Erie by renting a paddle board, Sea-Doo or fishing boat. A day on the water is good for the soul.
Lynn Valley Trail and Falls - Hiking in Norfolk County is beautiful. We recommend taking advantage of the Lynn Valley Trail and seeing the falls along the way.

Festivals - Port Dover and Norfolk County host many festivals, but one that has a huge draw each year is the PD13 Motorcycle rally, recurring every Friday, the 13th. If you’re a motorcycle enthusiast or just love a good time, you won’t want to miss it.

Getting Around:
Getting here is a breeze. We’re located only 2 hours from downtown Toronto (50 minutes from Hamilton), making us the ideal place for an easy getaway. We recommend coming by car, but if you’re feeling adventurous, you can arrive by bike if you hit the trails from Hamilton to Brantford to Port Dover.

Once here, you can ditch your car and take advantage of how walkable our location is to the strip and the beach. But for errands or touring around the countryside, you’ll want to use your car or take advantage of the taxi and car-sharing services.

The Sea accommodates a maximum of 4 guests, including children (please note the suite is not childproof).

The Swell House is a unique 100-year-old historic home, and with all its charm and age may come some quirks, creaks, and noises.

Please remember you are staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space and neighbours with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on-site 24/7.

No unapproved guests or parties. This is a ZERO tolerance policy; if broken, you will be asked to leave. There is a security camera on-site, and we are able to see if people outside your group are visiting the home. This will result in an IMMEDIATE cancellation of your reservation with NO refund.

Noise Policy: Noise level MUST BE MINIMAL after 10 PM. There is a noise level city ordinance, and we can’t have any complaints. Violation of the noise/party rule will result in the police being called, termination of your reservation, and the security deposit retained. It is super important that we respect the peace of the community.

Because of the beautiful new flooring, we ask that you do not wear shoes throughout the house.

The property is not suitable for pets

Watch the parade and Friday the 13th events from your front lawn. Walk two blocks to the central business district, including the theatre, shops, restaurants, and beach.

It is only 5-10 minute walk to the beach and just around the corner from the Lynn Valley trail that goes all the way to Brantford. Natural beauty in the yard and in the Silver Lake Park. In the morning, it is a delight to sit and listen to the birds. I have been teaching yoga for over 20 years and have classes on a regular basis. You are welcome to join the classes, no extra cost. I am also a certified aromatherapist, you have enjoy rejuvenating sessions for only $85 per session.

LIVING SPACE:

Every detail was curated to make this space a place where you have no choice but to “kick back and relax.”
Upon entering the living room, there are three things you’ll want to make this room as enjoyable as it was designed to be:

- Your cutest vacay outfit (linen, anyone?)
- Bare feet
- A delicious cocktail

Whether the sun is shining or it’s raining outside, the mid century sofa in this peaceful space will tempt you to either cuddle, read a book or take a nap (…in our opinion, why choose? You’re on vacation, right?! Do all three).

Additionally, you’ll love spending time relaxing here because of the bright open feeling you get from the height of the 10ft ceilings.

Staying with us in the cooler months? You’ll love that this room also has a gas fireplace with all the nostalgia of the good ‘ole days, perfect for spending nights tucked up by the fire with a hot cocoa, a movie or even better yet, some slow jams and whatever else comes to mind.

If you’re wondering what items you’ll need to pack, don’t worry about bringing along any kitchen tools; we’ve got you covered with all the gadgets you need to prepare a meal easily. After all, we know you’ll want to spend as much time as possible exploring and relaxing instead of working away in the kitchen.

Are you a coffee addict? If so, we’ve got your back. The kitchen is equipped with a Keurig coffee station and pods, a french press, coffee grounds and everything you need for a cup of tea.

One of two custom cottages finished in 2023, with the essence of a tiny house but with more space! Walk into the open-concept living room, dining room, and kitchen where you will find the TV and fireplace. The back of the cottage has a bedroom and bathroom, and access to the backyard and deck.

The yard space is ample and fully fenced-in. We are pet-friendly, you are more than welcome to bring your furry friend!

The kitchen has tons of supplies for cooking. We suggest take-out or visiting one of the many excellent restaurants too! If you are cooking, the stovetop is electric, and we provide plenty of pots, pans, and utensils. Please note there is NO OVEN and NO DISHWASHER. (You will be ok! ;) ) We provide dish towels and tea towels, coffee and tea. The coffee maker is a 12-cup drip coffee maker and we provide filters for it as well.

The bathroom has a beautifully tiled shower with a Moen shower head that can switch function from rain, to massage. The water is on-demand hot water so it won't run out! We provide 4 towels.
This cottage is on the same property and next door to another one very similar- The Ivory Cottage- (click on my profile to find it). Each cottage has its parking, yard space, BBQ, and patios, nothing is shared. But if you want to share you can rent them with friends and it is easy to go from one to the other to hang out.
There is a 1900s brick house also on the property, which is currently unoccupied.

Port Dover Beach is super close, only a 15-minute walk away, and we provide a folding wagon for you to use for your supplies! There is so much to do and experience in Port Dover. The beer store and LCBO are also within walking distance.

The neighbour has friendly dogs but their yard is not fenced so sometimes the dogs visit when guests are arriving and outside of the fenced yard. The dogs have always been ok with people and other dogs, but as dog owners, we know that sometimes this info is needed depending on your dog (or your humans!).

The brick house on the property is not for guests and is not currently being rented.

The cottage does not have a washer or dryer.

Welcome to your tranquil retreat! Guests enjoy our location on a quiet street. The deck overlooks a peaceful green space with a pond and a variety of wildlife. Guests have a suite downstairs, in addition to the main floor. It is a 5 minute drive to the beach, restaurants, Lighthouse Theatre, live music, and the pier. Norfolk County has 15 wineries/breweries, several beaches, a zip line, and 3 Provincial Parks. Our home is a haven from the hustle and bustle of our busy summer beach town!

The space
The spacious guest suite is in the lower level of the home. There is a large bedroom, living room with a 58" TV and a bathroom with a shower. The large bedroom has a queen bed and there is room for a portable crib. There is a door at the bottom of the staircase. A baby gate is available upon request for the top of the stairs. Guests have exclusive use of 1200 sq. feet on two floors.

Guests will have the private and spacious lower level, as well as the main floor open concept kitchen, dining area, and living room, which includes a 55" Smart TV. The rear deck is off of the living room and includes a BBQ, chairs, and a table with an umbrella. Our guests will enjoy the scenic pond, surrounded by a walking track.
Guest parking is on the right side of the driveway.

Other things to note
We are absent from the home when it is occupied by our guests. We may occasionally access the garage from the outside. We are only five minutes away if we are needed.

The private entrance leads you to your clean, spacious and cozy getaway! Just shy of 800 sq. ft. the loft space is equipped with a full kitchen (2024) Four skylights provide lots of natural light or a glimpse of the stars. There is a separate 4 piece bathroom with a rain shower head. The loft is equipped with its own separate high speed Wifi and desk space with lamp for your convenience. Comfort awaits you whether you're watching a movie on the 42” TV with Netflix or you're settling in with your favourite book. There is an alarm clock and USB charger for your devices beside the comfortable queen size bed.

Long term stays are available and negotiable for medical students, shut down workers for Imperial Oil/Stelco Nanticoke etc. Your long term rate will be adjusted when you book through AirBnB. We please ask guests staying for 4 weeks or longer, to please supply their own linens and towels. We do not enter the loft space during your month long stay.

Guests do not have access to the basement. A friendly French lady named Bibi serves as the concierge of the property and lives in the basement. She will personally greet you upon arrival and is available to support you and answer any questions. Should you require laundry services, Bibi will be happy to assist upon request.

GUESTS & RESERVATION POLICY:

All guests, including pets and infants, must be included in the reservation. Any additions may incur additional fees or could be refused upon arrival.
Due to the downstairs unit, no running is allowed inside the house.
For safety reasons, no infants under 2 years old are permitted.

QUIET ENJOYMENT:

Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Please maintain a peaceful environment during these times, especially in the bedrooms, as a tenant resides in the basement.
Disruptive noise and loud walking are prohibited to ensure a comfortable stay for everyone.

The TV and furniture are not wall-mounted.
Kitchen windows have corded blinds, which may pose a hazard.
No high chair is available.
Children should be supervised at all times. Jumping and running are not allowed and should be discouraged.

PETS:

We allow one pet only , but some rules apply:
Pet are not allowed on beds or other furniture.
Pet should never be left alone inside or in the garden, even in a crate.

IN PERSON CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT:

Check-in time is between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Bibi will welcome you to the house.
Please inform her of your exact arrival time at least 48 hours in advance.
Check-out time is 10:00 AM and must be done in person with Bibi. Please inform her when you are ready to leave.

CHECK-OUT CLEAN-UP:

Please leave the space tidy/clean.
Dispose of used utensils in the dishwasher.
Drop used towels on the bathroom floor.
