Located in the quiet town of Port Dover (90 min south of Toronto), this new home is walking distance from shops, cafes and the Lighthouse Theatre. Or, relax at home and enjoy your own private beach.

Complete with new appliances, cozy furnishings and amenities, you'll have everything you need for the perfect relaxing getaway.

Our Lake House features three large bedrooms complete with fresh linens and comfy mattresses guaranteed to provide a relaxing night's sleep. Two of the bedrooms have their own ensuite and the third bathroom is located on the main floor. All are meticulously cleaned and supplied with tasteful soaps from a local store, Cottage North that you will find in downtown Port Dover.

All throughout the house you'll find a number of carefully crafted social gathering spots.

The main living area has big beautiful windows with unobstructed views of the lake. You'll find yourself getting cozy on the couches made for two or hanging out at the oversized dinner table playing cards, or board games while taking in views of the water.

Then during the summer nights you'll find yourself gathering on the upstairs covered deck, relaxing on the outdoor furniture, watching the gorgeous colours of the sky changing right before your eyes.

The kitchen, complete with organic white quartz counter tops includes everything you would need to make your favourite meal for the family.

When not enjoying the inside of the home, you can roast marshmallows on the outdoor gas fire pit that overlooks the lake (during the winter as well), or during the spring, summer and fall you can take the steps down to the water, and enjoy 85 ft of lakefront on our large concrete pad.

Not only do we offer a beautiful space, but we also make it FUN for the kids with kid packs, activities, board games and even kids robes!

Artisanal personal care products a nice touch! The only thing we wished had been available was access to the Blue Jay games on t.v. That was disappointing. We felt that the stairs on the back deck could have been better outlined as our most senior family member didn’t see the edge of the top stair and he took a tumble. Luckily he was not seriously hurt."

The cook of the family will enjoy the gas stove with griddle – perfect for eggs, bacon and pancakes. The kitchen is fully stocked (equipment) for your cooking needs and even boasts a coffee station so you don’t have to get in the way of the breakfast cook to get your morning cup of Joe.

The dining and living room area is a great space to play board games, stream a Netflix or Disney movie, cozy up by the gas fireplace and read a book, or enjoy each other’s company while sharing a few laughs - or even better a lot of laughs.

When the stars are bright in the sky and it is time to toddle off to bed there are two double beds in the upstairs loft with new Endy memory foam mattresses. Be sure to mind your head when upstairs - it is a loft after all. Note that the loft is open to the stairs – there is no door.

The private master bedroom has a comfy queen sized bed with a warm feather duvet. There is a dresser, desk, plenty of hooks and just outside the bedroom is a small closet that has a full length mirror.

The main living space and both bedrooms are equipped with their own heat pump/air conditioner unit - allowing you to adjust the room temperatures to suit.

The Town of Port Dover
Port Dover is a quaint fishing village on the north shore of Lake Erie. There are lots of restaurants to choose from and shops to peruse through. If you are up early and head down to the pier you can see the fishing boats go out.

Grocery store, LCBO, Beer Store, and a couple cannabis shops are all in town.

Our open concept main floor is home to our fully stocked kitchen and dining room with space to seat 6 guests along with our comfy living room equipped a pull out sofa and HD TV and Netflix ready TV.

Off the main living space, you will find our favourite spot to relax (and sleep), the 3 season sunroom! Furnished with another dining table and two daybeds, it is the perfect place to relax and hang out with friends and family in the warmer months. Please note, the fireplace is decorative only.

You will also find our main floor bedroom furnished with a Queen bed and dresser along with one of two, 3 piece bathrooms - our second full bathroom is on the upper level.

Upstairs, you will find our fabulous kid room with a double/twin bunk and our master bedroom completed with luxurious king bed and INCREDIBLE lake views. Seriously, the best place in the cottage to "perch" yourself and enjoy your complimentary morning cup of coffee.

Need some extra space for your family to hang out and relax? Our basement rec room is the perfect solution complete comfy couches and a flat screen, netflix ready TV.

For the coffee lovers, the kitchen is equipped with a Keurig machine, a drip coffee maker and electric kettle.

Additionally, there is a new washer and dryer conveniently located on the main floor to throw your towels in for a wash when you get back from the beach! Laundry pods are provided for your stay.

The large kitchen island seats 5 comfortably. However, if you prefer to dine outdoors, the backyard is a fantastic fenced space where you’ll find a natural gas BBQ and a large outdoor dining table that seats 6. You’ll love starting your day out here under the large umbrella with a cup of coffee or gathering around the table in the evening under the stars with your favourite bottle of wine to chat the night away. In addition to the backyard patio, the front of the house features an spacious deck and two Adirondack chairs to sit in and relax in the morning or to catch the evening sun.

The space
Our home is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom space with a well equipped kitchen. We pride ourselves on cleanliness and super comfy beds.
Swanny’s lake house provides linens and also lake toys such as a canoe, stand up paddle board as well as life jackets.

Other things to note
Please note that our property is made up of two properties as they are divided up by a pathway between the properties (south of the fire pit) east to west. Whilst this is a public pathway we rarely have anyone walk through. There is also a through way called Katherine’s walk to the right of our property and our staircase which gives deeded access to certain neighbours. They are allowed to access the beach via this pathway. Our beach is private and is for your exclusive use. Please let us know if you need any further clarification.

Nestled in the small town of Port Dover close to all amenities and attractions. Walking distance to the beach, mini golf, Lighthouse theatre, beer store and liquor store. The house can accommodate 3 couples in their own bedrooms upstairs, 1 additional couple can sleep in the bunkie out back & additional guests on the pullout couches. (note there is no electrical or plumbing in the bunkie)
