We provide all linens and towels, cookware, dinnerware and large flat screen TV.

With stairs down the the private beach this is a perfect vacation spot if you are looking to get away from it all. Please note Lake Erie cam be unpredictable, the water/beach and change frequently so we cannot guarantee favorable conditions. November 1 - March 27 the stairs to the lower part of the beach are removed to prevent them from being washed away in winter storms. There is beach access a very short walk to the west of the property available year round.

Only 450 meters from Humberstone Centennial Park which offers public amenities including a playground and washroom facilities. The Sugarloaf Harbour Marina is a quick 15 minute drive.

This is a great location for boating, kayaking and canoeing! There is loads of space behind the cottage to store your equipment and boat launches are nearby. Enjoy your morning coffee or play some cards on the large screened in porch with the soothing sight and sound of the waves.

There is an addition on this home that is completely separate and has its own fenced outdoor space. There is a second home on the property that is a vacation rental. They may or may not be rented at the same time. All three units share the private beach space. The units all have separate outdoor areas but beach access is shared. There is plenty of parking. The is a great location for two or three families to get away. Contact me for group pricing on both cottages.

This home is best enjoyed by traveling families and we do not make considerations for large group of young adults. Please note that there are two sets of stairs and baby gates are not provided. We do not allow pets at this home.

- We respectfully ask that you treat our home with respect and consider it as your home away from home and remain considerate of the neighbours always.
- Our cottage is in a residential area and local bylaws require quiet between the hours of 11pm to 8am.
- There are outdoor security cameras at this home. They are at the front entrance, on the side patio and in the parking area. The cameras are not monitored and footage is only accessed if absolutely necessary for security, storms or Town By-Law.
- The Renter whose name the reservation is made is responsible for the conduct of all those using or occupying the vacation property and/or its grounds throughout the duration of their stay.
- When you are not in the house and upon final departure, guests must close and lock all windows and doors. In addition, upon final departure, the Renter must ensure that all food and beverages are removed from the rental property including cabinets, refrigerators and freezers. Failure to remove these items may result in additional cleaning fees
- Renters are liable for all damages and/or loss to the rental property caused by them or as a result of their negligence or caused by or as a result of negligence by anyone permitted on the property during their stay.
- Smoking is not permitted inside
- The BBQ runs on natural gas. Please make sure it is turned off after every use.
- Please note that absolutely no other items other than bathroom tissue are to be flushed down the toilet. ANYTHING other than bathroom tissue should be placed in the garbage. Any misuse could result in plumbing issues and service calls or repairs will be charged back to the client.

Welcome to our custom lakeside retreat. This newer home has custom wood work and all the amenities you need. Located on the shores of Lake Erie at Cedar Bay one of the nicest beaches in the area. Our cozy cottage has four sleeping areas, one and a half baths and an expansive living open concept living area. Note this home has a second home on the property that has two units in it, one is that is a vacation rental and the other has a long term renter that uses it occasionally. They are completely separate but do share the private beach.

All of the comforts of home are here including dinnerware, cookware, linens and towels, and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Complimentary WiFi is available along with satellite TV. Start your mornings enjoying coffee in the front screened porch and kick back in the evenings with a cocktail around the fire pit.

With a screened in lower porch to enjoy evenings and an upper open patio for relaxation there is plenty of space to enjoy.

We are three story style living providing plenty of room for large families or two families travelling together with a maximum of 6 adults with younger children. Please do not request to book if your group has more than 6 adults as we cannot accommodate it.

Layouts are as follows:

Bedroom 1 – master bedroom top floor (sleeps 2)
Sleeping Area 2 – double bed in hallway nook on top floor (sleeps 2)
Sleeping Area 3 – 2 double beds (new mattresses fall 2022) with single trundle on lowest level (sleeps 5). This room is open to the staircase to the lowest level.
Sleeping Area 4 – Queen pullout sofa in a separate room in the lowest level (sleeps 2)

The 2 acre lot has a front house and a back house with plenty of room for all and ample parking. This is the back house and it must be noted that guests may be in the front house at the same time. The private beach is shared with the front cottage guests but it is a large beach with plenty of room.

With stairs down the the private beach this is a perfect vacation spot if you are looking to get away from it all. December 1 - March 31 the stairs to the lower part of the beach are removed to prevent them from being washed away in winter storms. If the weather is not cooperative the stairs may be removed into April. There is beach access a very short walk to the west of the property available year round.

Please note Lake Erie cam be unpredictable, the water and beach can change frequently so we cannot guarantee favorable conditions. (Firepit and direct beach access is available in peak months of May to October only - there is another access to beach 2 minutes walk away that is available year round)

Get away from it all when you stay under the stars in rural Port Colborne. Our tent site was built in 2024 on our 11 acre woodland property. We have combined everything you love about camping with the comforts of glamping. The site is very private and includes a gorgeous queen bedroom, large fire pit, BBQ, solar lights, phone charging station, and a clean modern outhouse with handwash station. Just a 5 min walk away from public beach access to Lake Erie (Cedar Bay), plus great biking nearby.

Our 11 acre woodland that surrounds the tent site is a beautiful place to relax and unwind. The woods contains mostly White Pine, Red Oak, and Sugar Maple. There are several beautiful large spruce near the firepit. The woods north of the camp site (i.e. past the outhouse) has a nice walking trail you are welcome to use! Wild Turkeys love the north end of the woods, sometimes we see flocks of 20 or more! You are bound to see White-tailed Deer tracks and more than a few wild rabbits too!

Feel free to pick vegetables out of our veggie garden behind the barn (we don't use any sprays or pesticides); wild raspberries from the bushes and explore the forest behind the barn.

Please be aware this is a (really nice) campsite. There's no running water and no electricity. There is a handwashing station inside the modern outhouse. Please bring bio degradable bath soap if you’re planning on taking a lake bath or shower!

There’s a phone charging station inside the tent and a variety of solar and battery operated lights. Turn out the lights for the best star viewing!

We’ve provided a camp kitchen kit to help you prepare and enjoy your own campfire cuisine. There is a grill for cooking over the open fire or you can use the bbq. The camp kitchen kit includes coffee, tea bags, teapot and French press, pots and pans safe for the fire grill, utensils for eating and prepping, cutting board, eco friendly dish wash soap, a bin for dish washing, and dish towels for your use.

Bring your own water and coolers for your food. Bodners corner store is just up the road for ice, groceries, and supplies… it’s open every day in the summer and closes at 5pm.

Camping means there will be BUGS, including mosquitos and potentially ticks. We suggest packing some icardin spray (it works better than deet on our bugs!). There are citronella torches around the firepit for you to use as well. The tent has a sturdy bug screen so that breezes can move through the tent but its *not* 100% bug-proof.

Friendly note that you WILL hear our rooster Thomas-Tophat. Welcome to country life!

BBQ: there’s a new bbq at the tent site that we keep stocked with propane and a lighter. After dinner please be sure the bbq lid is down so raccoons don’t have a party in the bbq overnight! Paper plates can be burned in the fire down to ashes.

CAMPFIRES: 1 wheel barrow load of wood is included with your stay, additional loads are $10 each. A full bucket of well-water will be beside the fire pit when you arrive so that you can safely put out the fire at bedtime (well-water isn’t safe for drinking!).

GARBAGE: All garbage must be placed in the metal garbage bin with lid pushed on tight.

WILDLIFE: As cute as the wildlife are, please don’t feed them on purpose. You will hear coyotes howling but it is rare to see one. (Just because people ask: there are NO wolves or bears! We are located way too far south for that!). We have lots of deer, chipmunks, squirrels, raccoons, cottontails, red foxes, and possums. Since we are located so close to Lake Erie, our woods attracts some interesting birdlife including Great Horned Owls, Eastern Screech Owls, Green Herons, Red-shouldered Hawks, lots of woodpeckers, and every year a few Bald Eagles fly overhead! There is renowned birdwatching within a close drive along Lake Erie (Point Abino, Morgan's Point, etc).

THINGS TO DO: check out our guidebook on this site. There are a few really good restaurants (in my opinion!) in Port Colborne which is about 7 min drive away. Or you can drive 15 mins to Ridgeway / Crystal Beach which has some very cute shops and nice bistros. We are just down the street from the Friendship Trail which is a paved route that stretches many miles and is easy flat terrain for biking or walking. This trail is part of the Greater Niagara Circle route, if you like to bike you can just go and go!

For additional offsite hiking, consider Morgan’s Point (conservation area) or visit the Wainfleet Wetlands Conservation Area (bring your binoculars to see waterfowl in the large ponds, and watch your step for fossils in the exposed rock!).

The location at the quarry was good but busy. The trailer was quite dated and cooking difficult due to a lack of different size pots and only one small/medium size frying pan. The mattresses were awful and my back is still recovering. The BBQ was quite small and although there were two tanks they were both empty!! I had to go exchange when dinner was ready to go on the grill. The owner was pleasant via VRBO site and apologized that the “honour system” regarding the tanks wasn’t followed by the previous renters. We had issues getting the golf cart charged. It would be helpful for better instructions as it is old and so is the charging block so playing with the cords and plugs was required. The owner reimbursed our family $100 for the inconveniences, which was appreciated."

The kids really enjoyed the park." - "Overall, it was good but I found the kitchen appliances and utensils needed updating as they were old and looked dirty. I felt that there were limited supplies. For example, there was a fire pit but no lighters or matches supplied. We had to purchase our own and it has been left in the unit. Coffee machine is missing its filter. I would have brought my Kuerig capsules if I knew. Not enough baking sheets. Bringing our own linens was an inconvenience especially with the price I paid. Guide book was unsatisfactory. Locating the unit was extremely difficult. The directions were unclear and the pictures were not helpful. In regards to the amenities, it was very unclear as to what was included in our stay and what wasn’t. We had to figure everything out for ourselves. It was a really nice spot but for the amount I paid I was expecting more of a seamless experience. "

Our cottage is located at the end of a quiet street with no rear neighbours, fantastic getaway with lots of privacy.
Both spacious and comfortable, inside this cottage features an open concept eat-in kitchen and living room that is lined with bright transom windows!
Relax on the large outdoor deck that has lots of comfortable seating, from a comfy outdoor couch, chair and umbrella set; to a new “egg swing” chair, to a large outdoor dining table and chairs. The perfect space for family barbecue’s, with a bbq for your use.

The deck leads down to the fire-pit where you can spend your evenings under the stars, in Muskoka style chairs.

There is also a small private yard in the rear for outdoor activities. Sherkston hosts Saturday night fireworks over the quarry, every Saturday during peak season. 🔹️$600.00 refundable security deposit for renters not using the golf cart, and $1000.00 security deposit for renters who are using golf cart, required when full payment is due. Deposit will be returned within 5 business days after checkout, and inspection of the cottage for any damages. Cottage must be left in same condition it was found.
🔹️It is your responsibility to clean and dispose of your garbage, both inside the cottage, as well as, outside/on the property
🔹️Funplex passes are NOT included in the rental price, can be purchased from Sherkston Shores at the (Welcome Centre)💦
🔹️Golf Cart (Driver must be over the age of 25 as per Sherkston rules). Must provide copy of driver Licence.
🔹️Golf cart must be returned in the same condition as received. Subject to repair cost if damages occur.

The space
The Lakeview Loft is an open concept space offering an entertaining space, sleep spaces as well as spa bathroom. You will note that the space is seasonally decorated to ensure a fresh and refreshed appearance for each stay.
The kitchen space has all the necessary tools and amenities. You will find a welcome basket waiting for you on the counter offering a few treats to ensure a comfy stay.
The bathroom offers hairdryer, a clothes steamer to take care of those pesky wrinkles, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, as well as bath bombs and bubbles for the claw foot tub (note: handheld shower head only).
The double bed is a new mattress and foundation set.
And the second bed is actually NOT a sofa bed but rather a Murphy bed of sorts. It is a queen sized memory foam bed sleeper chest that ‘looks’ like a sideboard. Just ask for help and we’ll get you set up to use it the first time (it can be tricky if you don’t know how). So comfy though….also new in the space.
Sugarloaf Suites and the Lakeview Loft are walking distance to historic West St. for shopping, wining & dining, and visiting the Welland Canal. Nearby you’ll find the Breakwater Brewery; Minors for fish and chips; the Canalside for fine dining; the Pie Guys for coffees, delectable desserts and pastries. We work Mon-Friday, you may hear noise transfer from us walking before we leave in early morning and while we are home. One car driveway for guest, separate from owner.

The guest is granted full access to the entire apartment, can utilize the complimentary laundry on the premises, and is allocated one parking spot. There is also a garden area for relaxation, equipped with a patio table which can be provided upon request.

ARRIVAL / EARLY ARRIVAL
The scheduled arrival time is 3:00 p.m. on the initial day of your reservation. A potential earlier check-in might be accommodated, based on availability and subject to an early check-in fee

DEPARTURE / LATE DEPARTURE
The check-out time is 11:00 a.m. on the last day of your reservation. We reserve the right to charge late fees for departures after 11:00 a.m. A later departure may be allowed subject to availability and check out fee. Late check out fee is at $50/hour.

ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING INSIDE
This includes but is not limited to tobacco, marijuana, e-cigarettes, vape pens, and hookahs. We operate marijuana and tobacco sensors in order to help enforce this rule. If discovered smoking inside automatically charge of $300 will be applied.

MINIMUM AGE
The registered Guest must be 21 years of age or older, unless otherwise permitted by the host.

NO NOISE / NO PARTIES
The Guest may not disturb the quiet enjoyment surrounding neighbors. At all times, the Guest shall refrain from making loud noises and excessive television and/or radio volume that may disturb others. The Guest shall observe quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. Parties and large gatherings are prohibited. Noise sensors are operational.

VISITORS
Visitors must be accompanied by the Guest at all times, and no unauthorized overnight guests are allowed. The Guest is responsible and liable for the actions of all Visitors.

CLEANING
Guests should not leave the property in a state that requires excessive or deep cleaning. Cleaning fees set are only meant to cover the cost of standard cleaning between reservations. An extra cleaning charge could apply if the property is left in a condition of excessive dirtiness

DAMAGE
Guests are liable for any damage and/or theft at the property caused by the Guest, their Visitors during the Guest’s stay. This includes damage to rooms, fixtures, furnishings and equipment (such as towels, artwork, electronics, and kitchen equipment). Guests are expected to pay reasonable requests for reimbursement if they’re responsible for damage, missing items, or unexpected cleaning costs.

LOST & FOUND POLICY

The space
“The Studio” is a beautifully designed ground floor, One bedroom apartment with full kitchen and breakfast nook, three piece bathroom and queen size bed with memory foam mattress. The apartment has several design features to leave you gasping in awe as soon as you walk in the unit with our custom lighting and unique design.“

The Stuido well designed dining/ work area with 55” Roku tv and breakfast nook. Outside dining is also available with your own picnic table.

Our kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking essential to start a beautiful meal for you or other guests. Don’t worry about the washing dishes by hand with undercounted dishwasher.

Enjoy our full bathroom with walk in shower, bright led pot lights for when you get ready.

Relax and rejuvenate in either of our romantic bedroom with custom wall feature and ambient lighting.

It took all our power not to move in to this gem of a unit.. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have.

New in 2023 to the property. HOT TUB TIME!!! The hot tub can be found at the rear of the building. It is shared between guests that stay at any of our units. Please time use on your own and be considerate for other guests.

We also have a gas firepit to enojy year round! Enjoy a meal on the patio while taking in the beautiful views of the canal. The space
Mallard is a great location for families or a couple. It is on a quiet tree lined street in a community where the trailers are spaced farther apart than in some other areas. Everything is a short golf cart ride away, but this property is away from the traditional “party” or “rowdy” areas of the Resort.

We have a small closed in porch that is locked and one closet that is locked. That is where we keep our stuff. Everything else is accessible.

Other things to note
Sherkston Resort requires me to obtain and submit to them photo ID for each adult and the birthdays of anyone under 18. If they aren’t included they won’t be allowed through the gate. The gate is strict. Day visits are not possible. If you want a friend or family member to visit for a day you have to put them down on the reservation and original registration.

Everyone who drives the golf carts must be 18. Security at the Resort are very strict about this and pull over and ID younger looking drivers. They impose fines if someone under 18 drives the cart.
