- "The resort is beautiful, with garden swings located around the resort facing the bay. The pools are beautiful, clean, and refreshing. There is a large slide in the children's pool, and water spray-ups that are fun for children of all ages. Large trees, with Spanish moss hanging from them, cover the grounds and provide a beautiful backdrop and welcome shade to the walkways and pool area. There are two beaches, one large and one small one. The large one has white sand, beach chairs, beach volleyball, yard swings; there are jet skis, kayaks, and other boats to rent as well. The bay water is somewhat brown, but not horrible. The pool area is beside the large beach and there is a restaurant attached that is a good place to get things like quesadillas, burgers, chips & dip, etc. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the main building; it was expensive but large, luxurious, and delicious. There was a safe in the room which are handy for leaving your valuables in while at the pool or beach. The whole resort has a safe, clean feel and I would recommend it to any family. The small town of Fairhope has shops that are fun to browse around in and a few restaurants that have a small, hometown feel. We enjoyed especially Gene's Beans which is a great place to get ice cream. The only drawback that we encountered was the walls of the rooms seem to be lacking in insulation, so if people are talking, laughing, or playing in the next room it is hard to ignore it and go to sleep."

- " If you're looking for an honest review that covers all the bases, you've come to the right place. First off, the hotel is absolutely stunning! While it's not located directly on the beach—you'll need to cross the street to access it—opting for a gulf front balcony room allows for beautiful ocean views. We stayed in a queen suite, which was perfect for our family of five. The layout, featuring a dividing door between the living area and the double beds, was a great touch that we really appreciated. The complimentary snacks and drinks from 5 to 6 PM were a delightful bonus, as were the two beach chairs and umbrella provided for our use—such a nice perk! Since the hotel had just opened a week prior, we did experience a couple of minor issues, like some plugs and the fridge not working, but the staff addressed these right away. The food at the core restaurant left much to be desired, but we thoroughly enjoyed the meals by the pool. I would definitely consider booking here again. Just a heads up: if you choose a patio room, it opens up to the pool and outdoor entertainment area, which means your view will consist of tables and a direct line to the band. This setup is perfect if you enjoy being social and don’t mind a bit of noise. Overall, we had a fantastic stay, and we’ll be back! The management was excellent; they just need to improve the food quality at the main restaurant. "

This is a beautiful four-home, lakefront mini-resort with in-ground pool and 300 feet of shoreline, surrounded by woods at the ridges of Appalachia. It is full of beautiful acreage, surrounded by woods, and BREATHTAKING views! It is accompanied by a pool and hot tub area, volleyball, horseshoe, a boat ramp, kayaks, wood burning fire pit, all included! We even have a playground for the little ones with an in-ground trampoline!

Waterfront resort combines four homes to sleep 32! The homes are a combination of a 1930 Historic homes and three of our newer homes, all up to the standards and expectation of modern times. 8 Bedrooms and 8 bathrooms with other nooks and lofts to sleep. The views are incredible, the crazy 1930 home is so whacky and fun, with its uneven doors and slanted roofs. The new homes are gorgeous and loaded with heavy trim and upscale appointments. **The lake level does go down a few feet in late fall through early spring and may affect boat launch, dock usage, watersports or lake views.
**The water recreation is a good walk but is accessible by vehicle. We have 5 acres and you can drive right to the dock if desired. Too much to describe, so please see pictures.
**The pool is open from Memorial Day - Labor Day but can be heated in the off season at an additional cost.
**Please note. The front and back porches at the "Imperfect Perfection" home do not have handrails. Neither code nor insurance requires it because its heights. We just like transparency and no surprises. Thanks.

CLEANING FEE DISCLAIMER: We are disenchanted that we have a pass-through cleaning fee so high these days but with everything going on in the country with higher costs and labor shortages, this is our new reality. We understand that when this fee is split by the large groups that is nominal per-person but we want you to know our hearts are that we wish it wasn’t so high regardless of that. It is a very large house to turn over in such a short amount of time and weekend help is extremely hard to find help. We only have 1780 people that live here so we have to be the highest paid to retain the best and they are AWESOME! Conversely, we are pleased to remind you that we have so much included with this property. Unlimited firewood, propane for grill and gas fire pit, all the coffee supplies you need except coffee. All sweeteners, powdered creamer, filters and we have a selection of tea. We have spices and oils galore. You don’t need to bring trash bags or paper goods either. We stock enough for your entire stay, not just a starter amount. Bathroom and facial tissues, paper towels, trash bags, napkins, salt and pepper shakers, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, aluminum foil, assorted sizes of zip lock bags, plastic Saran-type wrap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap, Q-tips, cotton balls, filled hand soap dispensers throughout, kitchen sponges and Dawn dishwashing liquid. We have first aid kits. We have hospitality boxes with all sorts of things you and your guests may forget. There is a huge list of everything stocked for you if you would like us to send to you. Our guests have told us in reviews that all they need to bring is food and clothes. One last thing on cleaning: If you are going to check out on a weekday, please inquire if there will be a break in this fee. There is no way for us to separate it out so we would be happy to address on a case by case if you initiate. We are so thankful you are considering booking this AMAZING property.

- "We loved it." - "My 3 grandchildren and I enjoyed our 5 night stay in this studio. It was just right for my little family. It's on the 7th floor with one more floor above, all the way at the end of the hall, which I loved because it was less noisy. This was our first time to Fort Morgan/Gulf Shores and I loved it! Fewer condos in our area = fewer people. We ate at the Sassy Bass which was located on the ground floor. It was pricey and the food was okay. If I had to share something that was not pleasing to me, it would be that tourists leave their tents/shelter frames in the beach for the next day. That is an eye sore when you want to see the beauty of the beach at sunset or early in the morning. Otherwise, it's beautiful! We will definitely stay here again!"

Gulf Shores Plantation Resort is a wonderful gated, family oriented resort with numerous amenities. Set on a beautiful natural beach, there are many swimming pools.There is an outdoor seasonally heated pool, and several others on the property. There are basketball and tennis courts, horseshoes, shuffleboard and a putting green. Just go to the guard house to check out whatever sports equipment you need. Grills are located around the property as well as the Sassy Bass Grill Restaurant on the
property. Sunrise and sunsets are amazing! It is about a 15-20 minute Drive to Gulf Shores if you ever want to leave the Plantation.
Our condo is non-smoking, but there is a designated smoking area right down the steps from our front door. There are queen beds in each bedroom, as well as a queen sleeper sofa with a foam topper for added comfort in the living room. There is a tv and DVD player in each bedroom, as well as a 55” flat screen tv and dvd player in the living room. We are located on the 1st floor convenient to the ramp for easy unloading. We also have a closet with beach toys, and an extra air mattress for extra kiddos. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your needs, with all new appliances. We also have wonderful Wi-fi throughout the complex.
