- "The resort is beautiful, with garden swings located around the resort facing the bay. The pools are beautiful, clean, and refreshing. There is a large slide in the children's pool, and water spray-ups that are fun for children of all ages. Large trees, with Spanish moss hanging from them, cover the grounds and provide a beautiful backdrop and welcome shade to the walkways and pool area. There are two beaches, one large and one small one. The large one has white sand, beach chairs, beach volleyball, yard swings; there are jet skis, kayaks, and other boats to rent as well. The bay water is somewhat brown, but not horrible. The pool area is beside the large beach and there is a restaurant attached that is a good place to get things like quesadillas, burgers, chips & dip, etc. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the main building; it was expensive but large, luxurious, and delicious. There was a safe in the room which are handy for leaving your valuables in while at the pool or beach. The whole resort has a safe, clean feel and I would recommend it to any family. The small town of Fairhope has shops that are fun to browse around in and a few restaurants that have a small, hometown feel. We enjoyed especially Gene's Beans which is a great place to get ice cream. The only drawback that we encountered was the walls of the rooms seem to be lacking in insulation, so if people are talking, laughing, or playing in the next room it is hard to ignore it and go to sleep."

- " If you're looking for an honest review that covers all the bases, you've come to the right place. First off, the hotel is absolutely stunning! While it's not located directly on the beach—you'll need to cross the street to access it—opting for a gulf front balcony room allows for beautiful ocean views. We stayed in a queen suite, which was perfect for our family of five. The layout, featuring a dividing door between the living area and the double beds, was a great touch that we really appreciated. The complimentary snacks and drinks from 5 to 6 PM were a delightful bonus, as were the two beach chairs and umbrella provided for our use—such a nice perk! Since the hotel had just opened a week prior, we did experience a couple of minor issues, like some plugs and the fridge not working, but the staff addressed these right away. The food at the core restaurant left much to be desired, but we thoroughly enjoyed the meals by the pool. I would definitely consider booking here again. Just a heads up: if you choose a patio room, it opens up to the pool and outdoor entertainment area, which means your view will consist of tables and a direct line to the band. This setup is perfect if you enjoy being social and don’t mind a bit of noise. Overall, we had a fantastic stay, and we’ll be back! The management was excellent; they just need to improve the food quality at the main restaurant. "

This is a beautiful four-home, lakefront mini-resort with in-ground pool and 300 feet of shoreline, surrounded by woods at the ridges of Appalachia. It is full of beautiful acreage, surrounded by woods, and BREATHTAKING views! It is accompanied by a pool and hot tub area, volleyball, horseshoe, a boat ramp, kayaks, wood burning fire pit, all included! We even have a playground for the little ones with an in-ground trampoline!

Waterfront resort combines four homes to sleep 32! The homes are a combination of a 1930 Historic homes and three of our newer homes, all up to the standards and expectation of modern times. 8 Bedrooms and 8 bathrooms with other nooks and lofts to sleep. Have boats or watercraft of your own? Bring them! We have a boat ramp right onsite and plenty of room for your trailers, as well as docking. **The water recreation is a good walk but is accessible by vehicle. We have 5 acres and you can drive right to the dock if desired. Too much to describe, so please see pictures.
**The pool is open from Memorial Day - Labor Day but can be heated in the off season at an additional cost.
**Please note. The front and back porches at the "Imperfect Perfection" home do not have handrails. Neither code nor insurance requires it because its heights. We just like transparency and no surprises. Thanks.

CLEANING FEE DISCLAIMER: We are disenchanted that we have a pass-through cleaning fee so high these days but with everything going on in the country with higher costs and labor shortages, this is our new reality. We understand that when this fee is split by the large groups that is nominal per-person but we want you to know our hearts are that we wish it wasn’t so high regardless of that. It is a very large house to turn over in such a short amount of time and weekend help is extremely hard to find help. We only have 1780 people that live here so we have to be the highest paid to retain the best and they are AWESOME! Conversely, we are pleased to remind you that we have so much included with this property. Unlimited firewood, propane for grill and gas fire pit, all the coffee supplies you need except coffee. All sweeteners, powdered creamer, filters and we have a selection of tea. We have spices and oils galore. You don’t need to bring trash bags or paper goods either. We stock enough for your entire stay, not just a starter amount. Bathroom and facial tissues, paper towels, trash bags, napkins, salt and pepper shakers, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, aluminum foil, assorted sizes of zip lock bags, plastic Saran-type wrap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap, Q-tips, cotton balls, filled hand soap dispensers throughout, kitchen sponges and Dawn dishwashing liquid. We have first aid kits. We have hospitality boxes with all sorts of things you and your guests may forget. There is a huge list of everything stocked for you if you would like us to send to you. Our guests have told us in reviews that all they need to bring is food and clothes. One last thing on cleaning: If you are going to check out on a weekday, please inquire if there will be a break in this fee. There is no way for us to separate it out so we would be happy to address on a case by case if you initiate. We are so thankful you are considering booking this AMAZING property.

- "We loved it." - "My 3 grandchildren and I enjoyed our 5 night stay in this studio. It was just right for my little family. It's on the 7th floor with one more floor above, all the way at the end of the hall, which I loved because it was less noisy. This was our first time to Fort Morgan/Gulf Shores and I loved it! Fewer condos in our area = fewer people. We ate at the Sassy Bass which was located on the ground floor. It was pricey and the food was okay. If I had to share something that was not pleasing to me, it would be that tourists leave their tents/shelter frames in the beach for the next day. That is an eye sore when you want to see the beauty of the beach at sunset or early in the morning. Otherwise, it's beautiful! We will definitely stay here again!"

Gulf Shores Plantation Resort is a wonderful gated, family oriented resort with numerous amenities. Set on a beautiful natural beach, there are many swimming pools.There is an outdoor seasonally heated pool, and several others on the property. There are basketball and tennis courts, horseshoes, shuffleboard and a putting green. Just go to the guard house to check out whatever sports equipment you need. Grills are located around the property as well as the Sassy Bass Grill Restaurant on the
property. Sunrise and sunsets are amazing! It is about a 15-20 minute Drive to Gulf Shores if you ever want to leave the Plantation.
Our condo is non-smoking, but there is a designated smoking area right down the steps from our front door. There are queen beds in each bedroom, as well as a queen sleeper sofa with a foam topper for added comfort in the living room. There is a tv and DVD player in each bedroom, as well as a 55” flat screen tv and dvd player in the living room. We are located on the 1st floor convenient to the ramp for easy unloading. Guests will have access to the entire property except the owner’s storage room on the highest floor will be locked and are not open to guests.

Our boat stays on the boat lift permanently. There may be times where we may take the boat out and will be parking our vehicle underneath the house during that time. We will not be accessing the interior of the house when it's occupied by guests. Most of our activities will be to load/unload the boat and will be limited to the pier house and to /from the vehicle. We will communicate with all guests in advance to coordinate arrival and departure time so there will be no surprises.

- "When I booked this property, I thought that I was booking for an upscale hotel/condo community. Totally not!! This was an extended stay/weekly rental property. I am not knocking this type of property, but I feel like you should know up front as to what you are booking in advance. If I had known this, I would never had booked this property. Some of the photos were very misleading. Not sure where these photos come from, other than the fact that they were "stock" photos. The kitchen was nothing at all like the photos displayed on the internet. One of the cabinet doors in the kitchen looked like it was falling off. The kitchen chairs were on their very last leg. So rickety they were wobbly. One foot of the footstool had fell off. It reeked of cigarette smoke terribly bad, although it was supposed to be a smoke-free room. The exterior door was in need of a fresh coat of paint. The entrance area to the room, outside the door, was full of cobwebs. Terrible black stains on the concrete right in front of our door. Needed a very good pressure washing. I also thought that like other hotels, I would have the option to cancel my reservation and stay elsewhere if unsatisfied with the property. Nope! No cancelled reservation for any reason. I could have left and went somewhere else but would have lost my money for the night. My husband refused to pay that amount again to stay somewhere for the night. I was willing to, though, if left up to me, I would have just lost my money. For this reason, I will never ever again use VRBO and would never stay in this property again, even for the option of a free night. In the future, I will use recognizable hotel chains, who have very high ratings for customer service. These hotel chains give you the option of staying in their facilities or giving you your money back. I felt very trapped by this whole situation. You had to stay or lose your money."

Waterfront resort combines six homes to sleep 90+! The homes are a combo of the 1870's & 1930 Historic homes & 3 newer homes all up to the standards & expectation of modern times. 21 Bedrooms & 19 bathrooms w/ other nooks & lofts to sleep. All buildings are in walking distance of each other w/ pool & clubhouse/flex space centralized. PLEASE see below for the bedroom configuration to make sure it works for you.

This is a beautiful six-home, lakefront resort w/ TWO in-ground pools & 1500 feet of shoreline, surrounded by woods at the ridges of Appalachia. It is full of beautiful acreage, surrounded by woods, & BREATHTAKING views! It is accompanied by 2 pools, 3 hot tubs, dock, beach, sand volleyball, 2 horseshoe pits, a boat ramp, kayaks, 3 wood burning fire pits, all included! We even have a playground for the little ones w/ an in-ground trampoline!

Have boats or watercraft of your own? Bring them! We have a boat ramp right onsite & plenty of room for your trailers, as well as docking. Play volleyball, corn hole, Beersbie, ladder golf, giant Jenga, life-sized chess, or just play in the cleanest, coolest water on the lake. The water comes right out of the mountains & dumps right at our feet. We are actually in one of the best areas to fish, right near Little River & Spring Creek! Eat s'mores by the campfire at the beach & watch AMAZING sunsets! String Light courtyard, privacy, & plenty of room to stretch out! SO much to do!

Close to Pirate's Bay (seasonal water park), DeSoto Falls, Cherokee Rock Village, Little River Canyon, Orbix Glassblowing, snow skiing, horseback riding, endless trails, rappelling, caving & ziplining. We are in the ABC triangle meaning we are an hour & a half +/- from the Atlanta, Birmingham, & Chattanooga Airports.

The views are incredible & the Main house has 1870's charm mixed w/ 21st century décor & conveniences. The Rose Cottage is adorable & the crazy 1930 home is so whacky & fun, w/ its uneven doors & slanted roofs. The new homes are gorgeous & loaded w/ heavy trim & upscale appointments. Breathtaking views of the lake, mountains & lawns from all units & you can even see how the sunset pours colors into the houses at "golden hour". We also have LOTS of stars, it just gets better & better!

**The full size bunk beds have a weight limit of 250lbs up, 300 middle, 175 trundle. The twin metal bunk beds have a weight limit of 220lbs upper and lower.
**We do allow pets; however, there are requirements that must be met & a pet fee MUST be paid. Please discuss with us before booking.
**The water recreation is a good walk but is accessible by vehicle. We have 5 acres and you can drive right to the dock if desired. Too much to describe, so please see pictures
**The pools are open from all year and can be heated in the fall, winter, spring at an additional cost.
*The front and back porches at the "Imperfect Perfection" home do not have handrails. Neither code nor insurance requires it because its heights. We just like transparency and no surprises.

*CLEANING FEE DISCLAIMER: We are disenchanted that we have a pass-through cleaning fee so high these days but w/ everything going on in the country w/ higher costs & labor shortages, this is our new reality. We understand that when this fee is split by the large groups that is nominal per-person but we want you to know our hearts are that we wish it wasn’t so high regardless of that. It is a very large house to turn over in such a short amount of time & weekend help is extremely hard to find help. We only have 1780 people that live here so we have to be the highest paid to retain the best & they are AWESOME! Conversely, we are pleased to remind you that we have so much included w/ this property. Unlimited firewood, propane for grill & gas fire pit, all the coffee supplies you need except coffee. Sweeteners, powdered creamer, filters & a selection of teas. Spices & oils galore. You don’t need to bring trash bags or paper goods either. We stock enough for your entire stay, not just a starter amount. Bathroom & facial tissues, paper towels, trash bags, napkins, salt & pepper shakers, DW detergent, laundry detergent, aluminum foil, zip lock bags, plastic Saran-type wrap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap, Q-tips, cotton balls, hand soap, kitchen sponges, first aid kits, & Dawn dish soap. We have hospitality boxes w/ all sorts of things guests may forget. There is a huge list of items stocked if you would like us to send to you. Our guests have told us in reviews that all they need to bring is food & clothes. One last thing on cleaning: If you are going to check out on a weekday, please inquire if there will be a break in this fee.
