Green Valley Rec:
Requires a tenant pass. This is a fee outside of the rental fee paid to the recreation facility. Please request an application ahead of your stay so that you do not have a delay getting access. To attend classes or tours there may be an additional cost through the Green Valley Recreation Association for the tenant pass. Information can be sent upon request. GVR has 6 community centers one is a 5-minute walk. GVR has 13 in door and out pools and spas, six fitness centers, tennis, pickleball, bocce ball and other sports courts, classes lectures. Golf is available at five public and two private golf courses in the Green Valley area with additional courses in Tubac, Tucson and Nogales. Two of the golf courses are right in the Canoa community. This property is less than a mile from the community center. Hiking and biking are easily accessible. Visit the Madera Canyon known for its world-renowned birding area.

Property also has a large additional room that will be set up as a den/office. Two Rec centers within 1 mile of the home. Enjoy the pools, tennis hot tub and many other activities for a small fee. Pictures do not yet show all the improvements that will be made. A great get away location to avoid those winters.

The space
This is a wonderful place to become your Southwest home away from home. The complex that we are in is beautifully landscaped, with many green spaces, palm trees and cactus everywhere. The Villa is beautifully furnished and decorated with southwestern colors and decor. In addition to the queen bed in the bedroom there is a sofa bed in the living room area. The villa is cozy, but provides plenty of room for 2 people. The front patio is completely furnished and has great views of the Santa Rita mountains. It is just a short walk to the common laundry facility and swimming pool. For a small fee, you can purchase a temporary membership to Green Valley Recreation (GVR) which provides you access to multiple nearby recreation centers with fitness facilities, swimming pools, outdoor jacuzzis, classes, pickleball courts and more.

Villa's West has been chosen as a recipient of the National Heritage Award. This award is given to historically documented properties which, by their unique qualities, are a major cut above surrounding properties and have maintained their original distinctive features.

This home is quiet and spacious. My mother is the homeowner and is a 67-year-old woman. You will be sharing common spaces She will only be renting to other women or married couples traveling together. You will have your own bedroom with a queen size bed, a ceiling fan and a private bathroom with a tub/shower. You will have use of all the common areas and laundry. The home is a single family house. It is in a 55+ community so it is very quiet and peaceful. There is a two car garage, which sometimes one space is available for your car. One of the tables has a beautiful view of the mountains. There is a dog when Teresa is in the residence. Her name is Honey. She is extremely sweet and obedient.

This is a lovely townhouse with an eastern exposure & a mountain view. It is light & bright with high ceilings & celestial windows in the living/dining area & skylights elsewhere. The master bedroom has a queen bed & a private bathroom. The second bedroom has a full sized bed. Both beds are very comfortable. The floors are tile & the bathroom sinks are Mexican ceramic. The whole interior is freshly painted in bright colors. There is also a two car garage so your car will be out of the sun.

There are many sites to see in the area- Titan Missile Museum is nearby and there are great hiking trails in Madera Canyon, a 20 minute drive away. San Xavier Mission is a ten minute drive and Tucson is only 20 miles. Mexico can be reached in an hour. There is also a great library and a great thrift store (White Elephant) about a mile away.

Green Valley is a 55+ Senior community. If you are a family with children or under 55 years old you are not allowed to stay more then 14 days. Though we welcome small children and infants, you will need to supply your own high chair and crib and check all cabinets within reach of your child for items that you do not want accessible to them.

Note: The washer and dryer are located on the back patio in an outdoor laundry closet. The laundry closet is shared with the back patio of the adjacent unit that we also own. Additionally, In the complex, are also four coin-operated laundry facilities that serve the association.

There are 4-heated pools conveniently located about about the grounds.

A key remains in the unit to access the pool and the 'common' laundry facility.

Other things to note
A copy of the Villa West Condominium Association Rules & Regulations will be available to guests.

There is a trash container in-ground outside the back patio of the unit. Pick-up dates are twice a week. Recycle bins at Association office.
