Welcome to the Sauble Alpine Retreat! Our beautiful wood chalet is just a short walk to incredible Sauble Beach. This stunning post and beam house is set on a beautiful property surrounded by trees on a quiet crescent.
The space
Inside, you are surrounded by stunning architecturally designed wood walls and ceilings with beautiful hand crafted posts and beams. The living and dining rooms are lined with big bright windows that give you a spectacular view onto the front of the private and beautifully landscaped property. The master bedroom opens out to a balcony overlooking the open concept living room, kitchen and fireplace.
Our backyard has a built-in fire pit to gather around and cozy up. For the chef, there is a propane BBQ (seasonal) and all the utensils you need to make that special meal. The children's playhouse with slide, swings and toys provide hours of fun for the kids!
Sauble is famous for it's incredible 11 km long white sand beach, and our home is just a short walk to the quieter North Sauble Beach where you can spend all day playing in the water, soaking up the sun, or having a quiet walk up and down its shore. The surrounding area is full of natural attractions such as Sauble Falls, Flowerpot Island, and The Bruce Trail. If you love to hike or bike this is the area for you! The house has central A/C to keep you cool on those hot days.
In the winter there are many activities located within driving distance from the chalet. Downhill and cross country skiing trails, tobogganing, and snow shoe hikes are within minutes. When you have had enough fun outside, you can come home and warm up by the fire or curl up in our quiet reading nook with a cup of hot chocolate. The house is fully winterized with central heating controlled by a Nest thermostat. It maintains heat extremely well even on the coldest days!
The area has a wide array of local restaurants, bakeries, and shops, and is a short drive from beautiful neighbouring towns such as Southampton and Tobermory for even more local discoveries.
