The Radisson is in a brilliant spot right on the beach with amazing views whereas the Island Inn is tucked behind 2 mins from the beach with no direct view. However the Island Inn beats the Radisson on so many other points … The Radisson is very rundown now whereas Island Inn is well maintained. There is several nice spacious lounge areas where you can relax and the bar area is great and the central hub with the odd bit of entertainment - the Radisson has small disjointed areas and no social atmosphere. The quality of food at the Island Inn is far better and all inclusive. There’s limited choices but all the food we had was delicious whereas the Radisson is hit and miss and in 7 stays I only chose to eat there in the evening twice. Rooms - again the Island Inn wins and despite several reviews calling the rooms tired, in my view they are typical of Barbados. Pools are both small. At the Island Inn you need to pay for sunbeds on the beach and be careful prices vary especially if the cruises are in. We paid 17 bajan one day but usually 15 US whereas the Cruise Club tried to charge 60 US !! Popping back to the hotel for drinks and lunch is easy. Most of the staff are friendly with a few exceptions. Lemar is great ! The hotel seems to have a lot of older couples who return every year and excellent for lone travellers as very friendly "

The grounds are well developed with mature trees and shrubbery and there are over a dozen coconut and other palms along the beachfront for shade. There is a private beach access gate with outdoor shower and lounging/seating areas. Brighton Beach itself, is a wide, calm beach ideally suited for all kinds of activity. The swimming and snorkeling is very good and you can jog or walk on uninterrupted on the sand for well over a kilometer in each direction.
Other positive features are that the location is excellent for access to downtown, West Coast, Warrens and the ABC Highway.your doorstep. The property enjoys good breezes for most of the year as it is not in the shadow of the more elevated lands along the west coast. An ideal family residence in a quiet area with good security.

The most important thing to know is that it is new construction, and they did not spare a penny either on the architect, the construction, or the contents of the condos. Simply spectacular all the way around!We found the condo’s location to be safe and convenient. - "Our party of 5 had a delightful stay! The flat is tastefully decorated, thoughtfully appointed, and spotlessly clean. Access to an uncrowded beach is just downstairs and they set out plenty of beach chairs for guests every morning. Staff at the property were friendly, and helpful with advice. All appliances in the flat worked well.There are a beach bar and aquapark right at hand, but otherwise very little within walking distance. We found relying on taxis a bit cumbersome; you may need a car. On weekends, dueling soundsystems from the bar and public beach parking lot can be heard only faintly inside, but make the balcony a bit noisy."

if you are looking for a cheap a small self contained pad just a couple of minutes walk from the beach and a short bus ride (or leisurely 20 minute walk) from the heart of Bridgetown, then consider Sundale Cottage. It is a small cottage with the kitchen and bed in the one space and a separate bathroom. Please note that the bed is around 25% smaller than a normal double bed.

This a great location for beach holiday as you are very close to a very large beach and a selection of restaurants with 2 to 5 minutes walk including:
Bayside @ Nautilus; Coffeys Bar & Restaurant; Sage Bistro; and the Barbados Cruising Yacht Club.

The location is excellent for exploring the island as it is located on the main south coast bus route where in one direction you can get buses to Bridgetown and in the other to Oistins. From Bridgetown you can get buses to all part of the island.

The rent includes the provision of towels and linen which are cleaned or replaced once per week.

No AC but the there is a fan to help keep you cool.

- "We stayed here for 4 weeks, 2 weeks with our adult kids and 2 weeks just the two of us. Lantana resort is well located (bus stop outside if you don’t want to hire a car). Some of the fixtures and fittings in the apartment are a little tired but absolutely fine for the price. I understand the property owner is quite new so may want to upgrade in due course.
