Sea View Play is located on the quiet North Shore, and is centrally located between both Christiansted( 8 mi) and Frederiksted(7 mi). Guests will also find several incredible restaurants and bars to choose from that are all located with in a half mile of Sea View Play. I highly recommend trying AMA, The Landing, Off The Wall, Spratnet, Sylvies, and the Sunny Shore Upload truck for breakfast.

A rare feature of this spectacular property is one of St. Croix's unique natural tidal swimming pool (The Fountain Of Youth). This 45'x40' tide pool is replenished by the waves breaking just outside the pool. Relaxing or taking a moonlight swim is an experience like no other. The small tropical fish enjoying the pool with you only make the experience even more special. Children especially like to swim and snorkel in the safety of the pool.

Situated at the edge of the Caribbean Sea, Sea View Play was built in the year 2000 as a private tropical retreat. Every room in this 6,000 square foot house faces the Caribbean Sea. Since the house faces North and has 180 degree views, you can see both Amazing Sunrises and Sunsets from the pool deck. We are on the "rainbow coast" and the rainbows are frequent and fantastic.

This magnificent estate has over 6,000 square feet of living space to unwind and relax. This amazing villa is situated on 1.3 acres of beautifully manicured ocean front grounds that have housed many special events (weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, and holidays). This gated and very private villa was constructed using an innovative system called InSteel. This revolutionary construction using steel mesh covered polyurethane that is then heavily coated with high-compression concrete provides the ultimate in protection from the elements. The villa sleeps up to 12 guests when using the sofa sleeper located in bedroom #2. At night you are lulled to sleep with the wonderful sound of the wave crashing on the shore.

At either end of the main house is a Master Bedroom Suite, each with its own private bath. Three additional large bedrooms with ocean views, and two separate bathrooms are situated mid house. Each Master Suite has its own fully equipped kitchens. No need to over pack when your staying at Sea View Play. The main house also features a laundry room that is equipped with a washer and a dryer for your use and convenience.

A fresh water pool and large deck are located just off the large 30'x 60' Great Room. The oceanfront deck has a pergola to protect you from the sun, a bar for you to relax, and an outdoor grill to make wonderful breakfasts, lunches, and romantic dinners under the stars. For those who enjoy cooking, the outdoor kitchen is complete with plenty of counter space, an outdoor drop-in barbecue, sink, and refrigerator.

The spacious Great Room is the pride of the Villa, with high vaulted ceilings in the old plantation tradition that cover the huge common space with vaulted ceilings, an indoor atrium filled with plantings, and of course, the most amazing views of the Caribbean. Meander in through the private gate, past the pool and into your beautiful two story, 2 bd, 2 bath private home. In-JOY outside dining on the deck above the waves, or sit at the beautiful kitchen table overlooking the sea. There is an amazing reef right in front of the house that is mesmerizing as the surge from the waves waterfalls down. It's very unique, rare and special for the island.

Both bedrooms are quite large and both are oceanfront with A/C. The living room/kitchen area also has A/C.

The upstairs, primary bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and 2 decks. One deck overlooks the sea with a spectacular view to Hams Bluff, while the other sits above the the fully fenced back yard, looking out towards the road and the lush, green hillside.

The downstairs bedroom is equally as large as the primary with spectacular ocean views and a sitting area on the deck outside the private entry door (off the main deck). The bathroom is a few feet down the hallway.

INTERNET & SMART TV
You can stream Netflix or whatever you like with the high speed Internet on the smart TV, and there is also cable so you can watch local news and not miss your sporting events.

SUSTAINABILITY:
The home is solar powered and collects and uses rain water. Eco-conscious hand soaps, dishwashing soap and laundry soap are provided for you. There is a whole house UV filtration system which provides clean and pure drinking and showering water. Feel free to use the 4, stainless steel bottles to take on your adventures around the island--no need to buy bottled water and waste the plastic

CANE BAY BEACH:
Cane Bay is walking distance from the house (or a very short drive). Be sure to take the beach chairs, beach towels and coolers provided for you. Sweet Bottom Divers is in Cane Bay as well as "The Landing" and "Spratnets Beach Bar & Grill", or "Off the Wall" for some food and drinks after your water adventures. Sunday Funday is hopping at Cane Bay Beach with music and lot's of locals. Weekdays are chill with not too many people.

WATER ACTIVITIES:
Divers and snorkelers--Cane Bay is one of the best spots on island with the famous "Wall" that drops down 2000 feet not too far off the shore. See turtles, rays, fish, coral and sometimes dolphins! Swimmers, this is your spot! Distance swimmers will love swimming in Cane Bay--make sure to ask me (the owner) about the regular swims M/W/F/Sa mornings.

GOLF:
Hit up Carambola Golf Club, right down the road 10 minutes, with its course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.

RESTAURANTS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE:
There are several wonderful restaurants nearby, and 5 within walking distance (AMA, Off the Wall, The Landing, Spratnet's Beach Bar & Grill and Sunny Shore Up Food Truck).

SHY DOG ON-SITE:
There is another smaller home on property where I, the owner, and my dog live. Zuri is my little sweet rescue that really needed a home. She's getting more and more confident with guests, and don't expect much dog time with her, as she's still very shy with others.

*Unfortunately, my two dogs that you read about in the earlier reviews, Whiskey and Cyrus, both passed away 5 weeks apart Aug and Oct 2023. They were loved by my previous guests and are dearly missed.

The property is one of the larger lots on the sea with half an acre and is completely fenced in with a cement wall with wood slats on top (very private). The pool is shared with me and "Zuri" who I'm teaching to swim. The pool is clean and you can hear the waves while in the pool. Sunbathing and cocktails poolside anytime are wonderful.

*Private chef available for some or all meals for an additional cost (subject to availability-reserve in advance-just ask me).

This room has our favorite view as it it low enough to see and hear the waves hitting the rocks and the amazing turquoise Caribbean Sea. The custom en-suite bath is light and bright and features a large shower. The suite offers a comfortable king bed/mattress and cotton sheets and towels. The spacious covered antique brick patio features comfortable lounge furniture for relaxing and enjoying the incredible views. There is a Samsung smart TV for your streaming pleasure. The laundry facilities are also conveniently located in this lower level bedroom.

This beautiful 2 bedroom/2 bath St Croix condo is part of SeaClusion, a gated condo complex located on the north shore of the island and is one of only nine units in this complex. Just a little heads up that the water pressure in the shower wasn’t great, and I would definitely recommend renting an SUV of some sort, as the lane to the house is dirt/gravel and there are pot holes and parts that are a bit washed away that a car would have a tough time (we rented a car at first and traded it in for a Jeep on day 2). Other than those couple of minor things, we loved it! Michael and his son were both very nice and helpful, and Michael was available and quick to answer with any questions we had. It’s just a short drive to Cane Bay and the price was fantastic! Id definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting St. Croix."

Moonwalk is right on the coast on the east end of Cane Bay. The open air house was built by a shipbuilder and feels like a magnificent mid-century modern boat. The breeze from the sea blows through the house throughout the day and the sound of the waves lulls you to sleep at night. The view from the upstairs balcony is postcard-worthy. Amenities include pool, wireless internet/TV, full kitchen, mini-split ACs in both bedrooms, washer/dryer, and of course, the ocean just beyond the back gate.

In February and March, Humpback whales are often seen migrating along the north shore as they head north for the summer. The mama and calf above hung out right off the back of the house for over an hour March 6, 2025.

Please note that because of the open nature of the stair/loft railings the house may not be the best fit for unsupervised young children. And that some salt film from the ocean breeze in the main living area (not bedrooms) is to be expected.

- "We loved our stay in Moonwalk. The location is stellar-we could walk to Cane Bay beach and 3 good restaurants (the landing, Ama, and Off the Wall). The Annaly Bay tide pool hike was close as well, as was Sylvia’s bar. The Villa was quirkily decorated, lots of stuff from the owners’ travels and their beach combing. The kitchen was well appointed, even an airfryer, and we made several great meals from meat and fish we bought at the large supermarket on Queen Mary Hwy. We don’t like AC, but it rained one night so we used it in the bedroom; came right on and cooled everything down great. Otherwise we put one of the provided fans in the main bedroom and slept with the windows open to allow for the steady breeze to cool us off.We read all the reviews and saw some concerns about cleanliness. The place was clean when we got there, but as the owners warned us, the slick salt spray from the close proximity to the ocean permeates everything as soon as the windows are open. We just took 10 minutes a day to wipe stuff down and sweep. If you can’t bring yourself to do that find a place further from the shore! The owners Bob and Dru were great-gave us lots of useful advice about things to do and how to stay safe. We have gone to St John and rented villas for more than 20 years. The crowds and the costs have risen dramatically there. This trip was to see if St Croix would be a good alternative. It was great! More friendly and less expensive. We will be back!"

Unwind at the Tropical Island Villa (formally known as The Carambola Villa Retreat), a sophisticated and elegantly furnished 1.5-acre hideaway blessed with amazing views of rolling hills, lush tropical gardens and the ocean. The 3,500 square-foot villa accommodates 12 guests comfortably, but can be made available for up to a maximum of 16 with use of futons and a cot. 4 spacious bedrooms sit on either side of the Great Room, noted for it’s beautiful high Cyprus ceiling. 1 room has 2 King size beds, 2 twin size beds and a futon in a separate area, and a full bath with shower. 1 room has a king size bed and a full bath with shower. 1 room has a queen size bed, a futon, and a full bath with shower. And 1 room has a queen size bed, a futon, and a half bath in the room with an outdoor shower. There is also a cot that can be used if needed. There is a sitting room with a full scale entertainment center, 60” TV, and bar. We have Starlink hi-speed WIFI.

There will be an extra fee of $25 per person/ per night on parties of more than 8 due to an increased usage of power, water, and cleaning costs.

The open concept living room kitchen is ideal for preparing meals with your friends and family, which may be served in the dining area or the big patio. The kitchen is equipped with 16-Piece place setting, wine and champagne glasses and a Keurig coffee machine.

One of the main allures of the property is the expansive entertainment terrace, set with pool, BBQ, fire place and seating for 12 people for dining. Edged by the natural tropical gardens, here on the sunny deck you will marvel at the long distance sea views and gorgeous clear nights, surrounded by thousands of stars.

Facing the valley lies the most captivating feature of the Villa. The Villa boasts a tropical garden with multiple wooden decks and terraces that are connected by several bridges and pathways. The pathways connect a number of enticing sites, including another outdoor fireplace.

ACTIVITIES
Three miles away on the North Shore is the famous Cane Bay Beach, rated as one of the top dive sites in the entire Caribbean. This is also meeting point for sunset beach bars and incredible restaurants.
Take a a two mile hike with spectacular views of Annaly Bay and Carambola Beach (or take an adventurous Jeep tour) to St Croix's famous Tide Pools or try the Carambola Zipline or Horseback riding, right at the entrance to the Carambola Golf Course.
Another one of St Croix’s attractions is The Bioluminescent Bay in Salt River Bay National Park. It’s the historic site that Christopher Columbus landed on his second voyage to the New World, but come by night and see the water glow!
The Villa is also within a 15-minute drive to the island’s two rum distilleries (Captain Morgan and Cruzan), where you can tour the facilities and learn about the process of making our island's signature rums.
Danish architecture awaits you in the two towns of Christiansted and Frederiksted where you will find many historic buildings, old forts, fishing charters and duty free shopping! Try your luck at Divi Carina Bay Casino on the island’s east end.

- "When I planned this trip, I hoped for a vacation where everyone (ages 14 months to 76 years) would have opportunities and space to come together in various configurations, enjoy activities together and alone and relax. Estate Belvedere had it all. There were quiet spots to go off and read a book or have one-to-one time, and indoor and outdoor spaces for all eleven of us to gather. The local artwork throughout the estate was lovely. The pool is enormous and pristine with lots of tables and seating around it. The landscaping is exquisite. Beauty all around. The tower top was a favorite for sunsets. Accommodations were everything I could ask for: attractive, spacious, clean, extremely comfortable and well provisioned. There was a nicely stocked library of books and games and a magic closet with everything from sunblock to first aid supplies to snorkeling equipment. Sumar’s warm presence and immediate helpfulness was a joy. At every step, from a pre-shop to stock us with food for our first days, to answering every one of our questions with patience and good humor, she had the gift of being friendly and available without being intrusive. We all appreciated and liked her so very much. Estate Belvedere is a special place. It facilitated a vacation together that brought us even closer and provided us with laughs, deep conversations and playful games. I give it my highest recommendation and hope to return there."

ABOUT CARAMBOLA GOLF CLUB
In colonial Danish times, the Carambola valley was a large estate for the cultivation of sugar cane. The ruins of an 18th-century sugar factory are still to be seen behind the golf course clubhouse. Sugar cane was grown in the valley until the early 1960's when the late Laurence Rockefeller bought most of the property in the area because he felt that it was an ideal location for the development of winter homes and a luxury resort.

To set this in motion he built the golf course as its centerpiece. While Mr. Rockefeller himself never did any further development in Carambola, a hotel was built on the north shore and over the years some one hundred homes have been built in the Carambola area. These homes range from spacious hill-top residences to condominium-style villas on the golf course, all within an exclusive gated community.

In addition to the amenities provided by the club, the close proximity to the beautiful North shore provides swimming from sandy beaches in warm Caribbean waters, boating, fishing, and scuba diving, all making it an exceptionally desirable warm-weather home location.

- "Excellent property, would come back in a heartbeat, very well stocked, excellent on island assistance." - "My wife and I are frequent visitors to St. Croix and frequent VRBO'ers. We have a few spots that we frequent on St. Croix and we prefer the North Shore. This was our first stay at this property but it will definitely not be our last. The property was very well maintained, the amenities are top notch (internet was 150/30), TVs and entertainment options good, kitchen appliances are fantastic, washer and dryer are high end, and the owner's and manager's communication is superb. The layout is perfect as the main floor has the great area in the middle (kitchen/den/common area) and large bedrooms and private baths on either side which is perfect for 2 couples (or kids :-)). There is also an entire apartment downstairs as well so it is truly great accommodations for 6 friends if needed. The property literally sits on the North Shore and you can sleep to the sound of waves. The AC units work great and they even have a large unit in the common area that will cool it down as well which is not that common in other higher end houses on the island. The yard offers some great places to enjoy the outdoors (well kept hot tub) and there are also balconies attached to every room. Parking is also good which again is a blessing on the North Shore. Close to Cane Bay and some great food spots. If you don't rent this place, you are missing out on an amazing opportunity to enjoy the island with all of the creature comforts of a well maintained and superbly furnished property."

- "Great condo, new and comfortable. The pool was clean and nice to relax by. We walked to Cane Bat beach every day, the Landing's restaurant was a daily stop. With a rental car, the whole island is easy to get too within 25 min to anywhere you would want to drive. We will be back" - "Waking up in the morning and viewing the ocean, what can be better? Maybe enjoying meals and watching the sunset on the deck....My husband and I had a wonderful stay. The condo was well appointed and clean. Everything we needed was available; beach chairs, coolers, towels, soap, etc.Both my husband and I commented on how well we slept on this trip; stating the best sleep we have had on all of our trips to St. Croix (5). - Very comfortable bed, wonderful fan and when needed AC. The pool area is beautiful and inviting, great afternoon sun and great view of the ocean.Kathy, the host, was very responsive; we had no needs, but checked in due to being their first guests, ie arrival and how great the place is.Located on the North Shore, within walking distance to Cane Bay, Sweet Bottom Dive shop, AMA, Off the Wall (under newer ownership), and The Landing.Our favorite thing is being able to easily walk to the dive shop and get in many shore dives. You will not regret staying here!"

- "A beautifully designed and equipped property with outstanding views. The hosts went above and beyond to welcome us to their home: can't say enough good things about them! One caution: because of idiosyncrasies in the St. Croix addressing system, I'd recommend a working version of Google Maps, and a dropped PIN from Laurie to help find the property." - "I first want to say this wasn't our first trip to the island. This is, however , the first time we've stayed up on the mountain. The views are spectacular, its extremely private , Chuck and Laurie are so friendly and extremely hospitable. They have thought of everything you may need while you are there. We had beach chairs, beach towels, cooler , and many other extras. They had a few ice cold drinks in the fridge and a yummy bottle adult beverage made right there on the island upon our arrival. The coolest thing about this rental is it can be for just one person in a smaller unit or for a group needing separate spaces, or a whole family wanting to share the whole space. We will be back to this rental again....hopefully soon !!!"

- "The owners couldn't have been nicer, check in and out was very smooth, place is a little hard to get too but once you've done it one time it's no problem, and it's very central to both sides, the view is amazing and well worth the driving, place was clean and spacious for 4 people, owner was easily reachable and responded quickly. Owners were also very helpful with recommendations. They sent us to the tap deck and it was amazing. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. Would do more stars if I was allowed."
