- "It was exactly as described. We will be using this place again if we come back to Eminence." - "Loved the room and location. Problem we had were some bugs. Could have been cleaner the bath tub had a dead wasp and soap scum. The big tub needs the jets cleaned. Could have used a broom to keep up with the invasion of bugs. Went and bought a broom and dust pan and swept them up like three times a day."

Welcome to my vacation home.
I should have everything you need for a weekend getaway or a month long stay.
I have a full fenced in back yard, and a large inviting deck with a view of the town.
I have 2 queen size beds and a couch.
There are TV's in both bed rooms and the living room with a connection to your favorite streaming platform. Netflix/Hulu etc. Full kitchen with pots, pans, silverware, dishes etc. Kureg coffee maker with K cups, cream and sugar.
Full sized bathroom with soap, shampoo conditioner, towels etc.
The location of my place behind the
Dary shack on the corner of 2nd street. Walking distance from the canoe rental so pretty close to current river.
- "The location of this property is perfect. You can walk across the street to Dairy Shack and get good food and ice cream. The gas station and hardware store are also that close. You are 1 minute from the entrance to a large camp ground and 1 minute from river access. Having laundry also helps but the best part is the property owner. He was the easiest to work with. I had some questions and he was very prompt and nice! I highly recommend this listing AND any listing this owner has as he was so great to work with. We will be back and it was perfect for us!!"

- "We enjoyed it very much the cabin was very clean close to town and had amazing views would 100% recommend to anyone and we plan to return again during the summer" - "We very much enjoyed our stay. The floors could use more attention in cleaning, particularly the rugs in the bathroom. All in all it was a very nice place." - "My husband and I agree that this was one of our favorite rental experiences. Everything was even better than described in the listing. The location was (almost) perfect for us; the only thing that could have made it better would have been if Dollar General turned their lights off at night so we could have had an even better view of the night sky for star gazing. With that said, we still had an amazing view from the back of the property & laid outside on our sleeping back and saw some falling stars. The fenced in front & side yard was perfect for our dog to run and play. We really appreciated being able to let them off leash in a secured area! The wrap around porch even had extra gates which helped further contain the pups. Speaking of the porch, it was well-appointed, with lots of chairs to choose from. We enjoyed sitting outside in the mornings with our coffee & breathing on fresh air while watching the birds flit around. The back yard was awesome too. There was a gazebo with another table & chairs, as well as a fire pit. If you go down the hill, there were a couple of swings hanging from the tree (down by the creek) near a convenient picnic table. (Just be cautious of the acorns on the ground when you’re walking down the hill.) The inside of the house felt much bigger than 900 sq. feet. It was clean and very well-appointed. We enjoyed the extras, like the Keurig, s’mores basket & supplies to wash and dry our laundry (a lot of places we’ve stayed don’t provide the laundry items, so we really appreciated that)! Also, there’s lots of board & card games in the closet…and they even have outdoor games in the basement (ping pong playing material & croquet). It was very convenient to be located across the road from Dollar General; they had a good amount of extras, including some fresh produce. Plus the owner mentioned in advance that some renters have told them that their GPS takes them to the wrong location, so we just plugged the address for the Eminence Dollar General into our gps & had no issues. The main bed was very comfortable & there are lots of extra blankets if you need them. We didn’t use the bunk beds, so I can’t speak to their comfort. You can get to almost any of the beautiful local nature sites within about 20-30 minutes drive, which was awesome. There are also some cute shops in downtown Eminence. Overall, we had a wonderful experience & hope to visit againsoon!!"

Convenience? You bet! With the Jacks Fork river less than 1/4 mile away and the Dairy Shack actually in your backyard you might never need get in your car the entire time you are here. Yes, you can literally hit the Dairy Shack with a rock (we would advise against that!) from the spacious back porch. You can also see the courthouse just up the street (which you can visit right after you ignore our advice about the rocks and the Dairy Shack). There is a canoe rental, grocery store, bank, gas, all within walking distance.
Activities? You bet! Everyone knows about the great canoeing and fishing on the Jacks Fork and Current rivers. With an outfitter just a quarter mile down the road, both of these amazing rivers become within walking distance. But did you also know that Shannon county also offers world class turkey and whitetail hunting? Did you know that we have the Ozark Trail and many many springs and creeks as hiking opportunities? Did you know about the sightseeing at Rocky Falls, Alley Spring Mill, or the wild mustangs that roam free in Shannon County? Stay for a day or a lifetime, you will never get bored in Shannon County Missouri.
Comfort? You bet! After a day of enjoying all of the outdoor activities that Eminence has to offer you can relax on either the covered or open-air porches that wrap around half of the house. A beautiful open floor plan, two bedrooms with queen beds and two sleeper sofas in the living room mean plenty of room to spread out while you are recharging for the next day's adventures. If it happens to rain, we have movies to watch, jigsaw puzzles and good old fashion board games. We are pet friendly and have two large crates / dog bedding for your dogs. We have beach towels a plenty for the river so don't use suitcase space on those. We have washer and dryer, toaster, blender, mixer, stove, and everything you need to cook if you choose to. All that is missing is you!
- "Perfect place for a pretty big family looking for a good weekend on the river with very close access to river, shops, restaurants and more. Simply loved it and had a very great experience best place we’ve stayed in eminence by far and we’ve been coming the last 7 years. Thank you for the hospitality!" - "We ( family of 3 & one extra preteen) had an amazing time at this property . We stayed 2 nights and 3 days. Location is amazing if you're going out and exploring. We did a float from alley springs to eminence (water was a bit high so that was the float available) we used Windy's outfitters ( less then a block away) . We explored Ally springs and Rocky Falls. The communication with host leading up to check in was excellent. Getting into the property was no hassle at all. Arriving at property and first impressions were good from everyone in our party. House was clean and the preteen girls really enjoyed the snacks! ( We picked this property because it suited all our needs and was also pet friendly. But unfortunately our old man dog stayed with Grandma and didn't attend with us but I'm sure he would have approved as well! ) the home had everything we could have needed. The dairy shack was awesome to have in the back yard. After a day exploring the nature areas it was so convenient to have such yummy food so close. And of course ice cream as well ! We will definitely try and book this property the next time we come to Eminence! 5 "
