Military Graduations: Our property is conveniently located for guests attending military graduations at Ft. Leonard Wood. The Nest if 5.4 miles from the front gate which is an 11-minute drive in normal traffic. Please allow extra drive-time on Family Day and Graduation Day due to traffic.

Quiet Neighborhood: We're situated in a peaceful neighborhood, so we kindly ask guests to respect the tranquility of our community, especially during late hours.

Check-in/Check-out: Check-in times are sometimes flexible but check-out times are often firm to allow time for cleaning before the next guest. Please let us know your estimated arrival and departure times in advance, so we can make arrangements to accommodate your schedule.

Our small space does not have room for a dining table, so we’ve provided 4 collapsible tray tables.

The neighbors were so kind, and our grandkids enjoyed sledding with their kids. The owner is so responsive and quick with any help that we needed. The home itself was immaculate when we got there; they even had a goodie basket ready for us. Kitchen has everything you would need, the bedrooms & living room on the main floor has plenty of gathering room for our brood that stayed at the house as well as visitors staying at nearby hotels, the downstairs has its own living room and 3 bedrooms. The owner was kind enough to give us a little extra time at check out as well. If you have a reason to be near the military base, this is the spot to stay, 10 min drive to the back end of the base which is the quickest way to get on base IMO, very small lines for id check."

There are 3 full bathrooms to accommodate everyone’s needs for getting ready in the mornings or unwinding in the evenings. Story Time is just 15 minutes from the Fort Leonard Wood Visitors Center, making it a perfect option for visiting or a cozy place to stay with your family upon a permanent change of station!
The space
Bedroom number 1 is considered a “mother in law suite” with a wheelchair accessible entrance via a sidewalk from the driveway. It consists of a queen sized bed, a chair, and a large closet in addition to its own bathroom. This bedroom also has its own tv! The private bathroom in this room is also fully wheelchair accessible!

Bedroom number 2 has a queen sized bed in addition to a closet and a dresser. The additional closet in this bedroom is inaccessible to guests. It is connected to the “Jack and Jill” style bathroom, but the door to the bathroom features a lock on the bedroom side of the door. This bedroom has a tv as well!

Bedroom number 3 features a twin bed and a full size bed, as well as a closet.

Bedroom number 4 has a set of twin sized bunk beds and a large dresser, in addition to a closet and a tv!

This home features 3 bathrooms. The first one is in the mother in law suite, the second is a “Jack and Jill” style connected to bedroom number 2. The third full bathroom is off of the lower level family room.

We do have 2 separate living room spaces to offer our guests the utmost space to stretch out and relax. The main floor living area features a sectional and a tv. The lower level living area is also wheelchair accessible via an external door and sidewalk, and features a couch, loveseat, bar height table, television, board games and a bar top!

Our laundry room is on the lowest level as well, with a full sized washing machine and clothes dryer as well as laundry soap for our guest’s use.

Drawn to the tranquil beauty of the Ozarks, where we raised our two children amidst these scenic surroundings, we felt inspired to create something truly special for travelers passing through.

OUTDOOR RECREATION AREA : While staying at the Luxe Lodge within Taylor Hills Hideaway, guests will have exclusive access to the entire home. The outdoor recreational area (including the hot tub) is shared with guests from neighboring suites within the hideaway, necessitating mutual respect among all visitors. Kindly consider others to ensure that everyone can fully enjoy the amenities. If you are bringing a dog, it is required that you notify us as hosts, clean up after your pet, and keep your dog leashed the entire time they are in our outdoor spaces. Practicing common courtesy is essential for ensuring a pleasant experience for all.

OUTDOOR INSECT AWARENESS: The Missouri Ozarks are home to a variety of insects such as chiggers, ticks, and mosquitoes. While our suites are regularly sprayed for insects, it's not possible to completely eliminate them. We recommend being prepared for outdoor activities by using bug spray and taking other necessary precautions.

SURVEILLANCE: For the safety of our guests, we have eight exterior security cameras in place. There are five cameras around Unit 1: a "Ring" doorbell camera by the front door, two on the west side, one on the east side, and one on the north side. Units 2 and 3 each have exterior "Ring" cameras by their main entrance doors. In the backyard, there is one camera in the pavilion and another on the back exterior side of units 2 and 3, facing the yard. All cameras are outward facing and record video and audio.

This unique country cabin features a full kitchen with a stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. This unit has a full bathroom with walk in shower. The downstairs bedroom features a king sized bed while the split loft features a queen and a twin on each side. All linens are provided. There is a large grill for cooking out and plenty of room for a campfire. Maximum Capacity for this cabin is 8.

- "We were looking for a place for our extended family to stay during our granddaughter’s graduation from Basic Training at Ft. Leonard Wood. This home fit the bill perfectly. Six bedrooms, two with in-suite bathrooms. Easy access to I-44. We were one of the first to rent from the new owner and there was still some work in progress, but we had everything we needed. We enjoyed the game area downstairs. A small hint of pets having been around."

- "Amazing small little house - great for a quick getaway." - "The cottage was very nice. The building is old but has been completely renovated and modernized. Bedroom space is a little tight, but the king bed made up for that. They did a great job at fixing the apace up but also maintained and classic feel. Very close to Fort Leonardwood, which was our main reason for being there. Host was very nice nice and easy to communicate with"

- "Home was just as described. Very clean, cozy and the decor was spot on! The location was easy to find with local shopping close by. We enjoyed our time at the house and exploring the area. The master bed was super comfy!! Great restaurants we enjoyed were the Juicy Crab Shack and the Hen House!! We will definitely be back for a weekend get away!!"

Very quiet, except for the neighbors small dog that was let run free and spent its time in front of my cabin barking and pooping, and I had to clean it up." - "The decorations were cute, could have used a toaster. I left early as I did not get a response from anyone regarding the main issue, the headboard on the bed was not attached, so every time I moved in the bed it hit the wall. While the inside of the cabin was relatively clean, the chairs on the front porch were dirty and I didn't have the desire to clean them when I had to pay a cleaning fee for the unit so it should have been clean. This unique country cabin has a studio type feel. The maximum this cabin will sleep is 2. There is a full kitchen, full bathroom with shower. We provide all linens, limited pots and pans and dishes. This unit sets on the 115 acres of Ruby's Landing River Resort. There is easy access to the beautiful Gasconade River where you are sure to catch a fish or two. We offer canoeing, kayaking, rafting and tubes during the floating season.

- "Kelly (property manager) took all my phone calls immediately . I cooked all three days in the cabin. The only thing I would suggest is more suitable pots and pans if you are going to be having your three meals in. I went to Walmart and bought some. Also a baking sheet would be nice. My boys brought there base gloves and played baseball and there was a lot of nice walking area for me. I would 100% go again. " - "I was hoping to have a relaxing weekend at Ruby's Landing cabin. What the photos don't show are that the cabins are right on top of each other and interspersed with RV's and motor homes. Neighbors in the adjacent RV lots were noisy after quiet hours playing loud outdoor music. The pressure of the whirlpool tub jets was so intense that I got welts on each leg where the jets hit my skin. If you plan to book this cabin and use it for cooking and bathing, you will need to bring or buy most items that VRBO owners normally provide their renters including shower soap, hair products, shampoo, conditioner, a hair dryer and lotion. Pots and pans are very inadequate. The furnishings and cleanliness could be improved. Overall my experience fell short of the relaxing stay I had hoped for."

- "The premise was occupied when I went to stay for my trip and the owner never responded after multiple attempts at contact."

This beautiful cabin can sleep up to 10 people. It has a King sized bedroom downstairs and two lofts with 2 Queen sized beds on each side. The lofts are low and you cannot stand up in them but there is plenty of room for sleeping. This cabin has a full kitchen, bathroom with shower and a nice living/dining area. The back porch is nice for evening gatherings. Pricing on this cabin includes 10 people. Pets are allowed (2) with a $25 per pet per night charge.

- "We loved our stay!! Kelley was quick to respond and take care of all our needs. The only issue we had was it rained all day. Our group had a couple of smokers that had to go to their cars. A canopy above the door or a big umbrella umbrella in the patio table would have been nice to have. The shower is also really small and needs a place store our hygiene needs. The couch was super comfy and the Cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed. The area was quiet. There is cabins next you and a house on the other side, but no one bothered us and is was pretty private for the most part. We would defiantly stay here again!"
