It is also walking distance to natural springs, trails, historic museums, gift shops, bars, restaurants, playgrounds, and so much more. Here you can relax, cook, play some games or sit outside. Military Graduations: Our property is conveniently located for guests attending military graduations at Ft. Leonard Wood. The Nest if 5.4 miles from the front gate which is an 11-minute drive in normal traffic. Please allow extra drive-time on Family Day and Graduation Day due to traffic.

Quiet Neighborhood: We're situated in a peaceful neighborhood, so we kindly ask guests to respect the tranquility of our community, especially during late hours.

Check-in/Check-out: Check-in times are sometimes flexible but check-out times are often firm to allow time for cleaning before the next guest. Please let us know your estimated arrival and departure times in advance, so we can make arrangements to accommodate your schedule.

On the main floor you will find the living room, kitchen, dining area, master suite with attached bathroom, 1 guest room with attached bathroom, and the laundry room. The downstairs features 2 more queen bedrooms and 1 room with two twin beds for the kids or more guests. We also have a large game room/entertainment room with a smart TV. The neighbors were so kind, and our grandkids enjoyed sledding with their kids. The owner is so responsive and quick with any help that we needed. The home itself was immaculate when we got there; they even had a goodie basket ready for us. Kitchen has everything you would need, the bedrooms & living room on the main floor has plenty of gathering room for our brood that stayed at the house as well as visitors staying at nearby hotels, the downstairs has its own living room and 3 bedrooms. The owner was kind enough to give us a little extra time at check out as well. If you have a reason to be near the military base, this is the spot to stay, 10 min drive to the back end of the base which is the quickest way to get on base IMO, very small lines for id check."

There are 3 full bathrooms to accommodate everyone’s needs for getting ready in the mornings or unwinding in the evenings. Story Time is just 15 minutes from the Fort Leonard Wood Visitors Center, making it a perfect option for visiting or a cozy place to stay with your family upon a permanent change of station!
The space
Bedroom number 1 is considered a “mother in law suite” with a wheelchair accessible entrance via a sidewalk from the driveway. It consists of a queen sized bed, a chair, and a large closet in addition to its own bathroom. This bedroom also has its own tv! The private bathroom in this room is also fully wheelchair accessible!

Bedroom number 2 has a queen sized bed in addition to a closet and a dresser. The additional closet in this bedroom is inaccessible to guests. It is connected to the “Jack and Jill” style bathroom, but the door to the bathroom features a lock on the bedroom side of the door. This bedroom has a tv as well!

Bedroom number 3 features a twin bed and a full size bed, as well as a closet.

Bedroom number 4 has a set of twin sized bunk beds and a large dresser, in addition to a closet and a tv!

This home features 3 bathrooms. The first one is in the mother in law suite, the second is a “Jack and Jill” style connected to bedroom number 2. The third full bathroom is off of the lower level family room.

We do have 2 separate living room spaces to offer our guests the utmost space to stretch out and relax. The main floor living area features a sectional and a tv. The lower level living area is also wheelchair accessible via an external door and sidewalk, and features a couch, loveseat, bar height table, television, board games and a bar top!

Our laundry room is on the lowest level as well, with a full sized washing machine and clothes dryer as well as laundry soap for our guest’s use.

Drawn to the tranquil beauty of the Ozarks, where we raised our two children amidst these scenic surroundings, we felt inspired to create something truly special for travelers passing through.

Our vision for Taylor Hills Hideaway was to offer more than just a place to stay; we wanted to craft an unforgettable experience filled with comfort, luxury, and personality. Our goal was to provide families with a haven where they could create cherished memories together.

OUTDOOR RECREATION AREA : While staying at the Luxe Lodge within Taylor Hills Hideaway, guests will have exclusive access to the entire home. The outdoor recreational area (including the hot tub) is shared with guests from neighboring suites within the hideaway, necessitating mutual respect among all visitors. Kindly consider others to ensure that everyone can fully enjoy the amenities. If you are bringing a dog, it is required that you notify us as hosts, clean up after your pet, and keep your dog leashed the entire time they are in our outdoor spaces. Practicing common courtesy is essential for ensuring a pleasant experience for all.

OUTDOOR INSECT AWARENESS: The Missouri Ozarks are home to a variety of insects such as chiggers, ticks, and mosquitoes. While our suites are regularly sprayed for insects, it's not possible to completely eliminate them. We recommend being prepared for outdoor activities by using bug spray and taking other necessary precautions.

SURVEILLANCE: For the safety of our guests, we have eight exterior security cameras in place. There are five cameras around Unit 1: a "Ring" doorbell camera by the front door, two on the west side, one on the east side, and one on the north side. Units 2 and 3 each have exterior "Ring" cameras by their main entrance doors. In the backyard, there is one camera in the pavilion and another on the back exterior side of units 2 and 3, facing the yard. All cameras are outward facing and record video and audio.
