This was the quietest and most peaceful place I've been to in years. I really don’t think the photos do it justice just how serene and private the property is. It felt like my own private oasis for four days. I spent hours on the lake fishing from the dock and the paddle boat and catching so many large mouth bass and bluegill I lost count. Walking around the lake on the trail and exploring the old garden areas while taking photos of all of the flowers and beautiful scenery, especially the sunsets, was just what I needed. The house was clean, comfortable and very spacious, especially since it was just me. I’ll have to come back with our family of ten and we’ll still have plenty of space. The bed on the main floor that I slept in was the most comfortable soft bed I’ve ever been in with super soft sheets. To top it all off, the neighbors who manage the property are super responsive lovely folks and really went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. I would not hesitate to stay here again!"

A quiet caretaker couple live in the garage apartment and they use the apartment, garage and the house basement. There is a locked door between the basement and main house.

Location is an easy commute to Columbia and located in a quiet neighborhood. We were in town to visit our son and his family. We were concerned it would be a bit far to his home in CoMo but it was an easy commute on well-maintained roads.Beds are extremely comfortable. My 85 year old mother said it was the best night sleep she has had in forever. The living room was outfitted with a reclining sofa and reclining loveseat. Master bedroom is on the main floor, 2 more bedrooms upstairs.Kitchen very well equipped with all the cookware and dishware you might need. Plus they even included some basic spices and food storage wrap and baggies - so helpful when staying for a short visit. The coffee and tea station included were well stocked.The owner was very responsive to our suggestion about a minor hot water issue. He had it adjusted that day even though it wasn’t a big problem.Excellent host, location and home. Highly recommend."

- "Clean, well maintained. The grandkids loved the playground and taking the kayak into the pond" - "Evolve group provided good communication through the process, however I do not feel their description of the place or it’s amenities was at all accurate. There is a closet in the center of the cabin that, when opened, smelled absolutely HORRIBLE! And their solution to this problem was to install an automatic air freshener next to the door to cover the smell. All that accomplished was co-mingling flowery scent with awful, death-like scent. IF you can get past the smell, the sloping floors, low ceilings, doors that don’t close or stay open and toilet that wobbles you might be able to see that the place is fairly clean, even if very outdated. You might be able to see that it’s fairly well appointed with the things you’d need for a “comfortable” stay. Though, you might be like me…concerned the whole place might slide down the hill, taking you with it the whole time you’re there. Not kidding! You will be standing at an angle the whole time you’re in the cabin. If that wasn’t enough. despite a couple of the beds being fairly comfortable, the noise from the highway will keep you from getting a good night sleep. So maybe go de-stress in the public hot tub? Only if you want to walk across the yard, across a gravel drive, across another yard then into another space where other tenants are staying to get to the “shared” hot tub. We were only staying 2 nights but after the first seriously considered abandoning this place for a hotel. Not wanting to spend money we’d already spent, stuck it out. Overall, was not a pleasant experience. I do not recommend."

An additional living room space with twin trundle beds provides tremendous comfort for larger groups. The quaint front porch overlooks our countryside acreage and beautiful pond.
