- "i really enjoyed my stay here! it’s tucked away on a quiet street but close to everything you would want to do or eat in Riverhead. it was a plus having all the animals in the backyard and seeing how they are lovingly cared for by Agena. it doesn’t smell bad at all which shows how clean she keeps her home. the host thought of everything you would need so i didn’t need to ask for anything. there were plenty of towels and toiletries to use & a wonderful list of attractions and places to eat. i will definitely be back! - "Cottage was beautifully updated and very comfortable. We were disappointed with the beach access. We knew there were stairs but not very easy for some of us. The other beaches nearby were similar with no beach parking and we didn’t have beach passes. However, we did have a great time with many things to do nearby. From the materials provided in advance, the entry instructions need to be updated (there is a lock code on the door versus a key box). Also, the wifi access information needs to be updated and the landline is not functional. Also, the chiminea has been upgraded to a gas firepit.We found that the walk to beach access was very easy. (The stairs were not nearly as long as the ones shown in the photo!) As other people have described, the neighborhood has a campground feel but we enjoyed the diversity of homes. The interior of the house is comfortable although, if you spend time indoors you probably want an additional chair. The beds were very comfortable. We didn't use the sleep sofa but it might not be very comfortable. "

The wildlife is wonderful, especially the birds.There are many farm stands in the area offering fresh vegetables and flowers and delicious baked goods and kid's activities. Lots of golf courses close by and if you like shopping you are close to the Tanger Outlet Malls, a big shopping haven. There are many local restaurants with fresh caught seafood which are outstanding.

The cottage is extremely comfortable - a nice sitting room, an open and well-lit kitchen, eating area, a spacious deck, and an incredible backyard (the best part). The bedrooms are comfortable as well. The backyard is set with a lovely deck We had a truly amazing time at this home! When we arrived we were greeted by Rick( the caretaker)with a helpful welcome binder and a truly beautiful house. It was clean, spacious and exactly what was advertised. It was well worth the money. It was close to town (only 15 minutes away from everything) and had so many additional amennaties (smart tv with access to most steaming sights, fire pit, hammock, comfortable beds and so much more). The kayaks and paddleboards were available for use and the lawn with the lounge chairs and hammock made for a great spot to read. The cottages are near each other but everyone was respectful of the space. The laundry was a plus after traveling a few days in NYC in the heat. I'd return here again. Thanks for everything."

Lovely home built in 1905, located in historic Polish Town Riverhead. Walking distance to downtown, LIRR, and Hampton Jitney. Near beaches (both sound and ocean), gorgeous state parks, vineyards, farms, aquarium, water parks, skate parks; plenty to do for all ages year round.

Check-in was super easy and communication with hosts was seamless. We didn't get to explore RIverhead very much due to wedding festivities, but the house is close to downtown." - "Could not have had a better experience. Great communication with host making seem less check in. Exactly as advertised on VRBO. Couch folds out into bed and owners provide folder with activity recommendations and places to eat. Backyard is amazing with nice fireplace and outdoor dining. Good location (15-20 min) from westhampton beach. Super clean, would definitely stay again."

- "This rustic, 1930 frame cottage, is the iconic gray clapboard little home with a front porch. Perfect for this elderly lady and my little dog. Back yard big with bulkhead on the cove; it neighbors a small marina of a some old boats. Big marina and On the Docks Grill is few blocks, across from Hubbard Farm Stand. Fun to watch boats. Once adapted to no disposal, dishwasher nor microwave, not hard, the daily routine for a month was charming. The bedrooms are off living room and new bath on first floor. Fancy washer /dryer in semi finished upstairs. Little but adorable home. Good bed and linens on bed. Lovely three street neighborhood, one block from bay. I hope to return one day."

- "I was so pleasantly surprised how wonderfully adorable this place is. Location is amazing too. Initially difficult to communicate with the "owner" via VRBO just to get an address, but got it finally. Made me a little nervous. It's like a bunch of cabanas attached but very private, kitchenette with plenty of room, nice views (I wasnt on the bay, but could see it and spotless clean. Rachel, at the front desk was absolutely amazing. If only other hotels etc could clone her, they'd be very fortunate. She was so incredibly happy and so obvious how much she loves it there. I don't like rating and especially long descriptions, but well worth my time for this stay. If I'm ever back on LI, this will be my go-to."

Beautiful spot on the North Fork’s Long Island Sound- Quaint beach cottage in the heart of the North Fork, just a short 5 minute walk to the beach on the Long Island Sound. Great location, our home away from home. This truly is our happy place and when we are not using it, we would love to share the beauty with others. Just being out here is a breath of fresh air!! We updated the cabin when we bought it and thus it is clean and many amenities are new. The cottage has two bedrooms plus a pull out couch in the living room, it sleeps 6. We have equipped the cottage with new furniture. The dining room table sits 5-6 people, the bathroom has shower and tub, there is a full kitchen with all appliances. In front, we have an outdoor deck with a table and grill, perfect for entertaining and relaxing after a day at the beach. There is a small backyard as well for lounging and playing games. Each room has an air conditioner. The cottage is in a private community with kind neighbors and the beach is a close walk away.
Conveniently located near dozens of beautiful vineyards, beaches, golf courses, marinas, horse farms and farms where one can locate fresh local produce. Minutes from other North Fork beaches and attractions, 15 minutes from Westhampton Beach, 25 minutes from Southampton, and close enough to Sag Harbor, Water Mill, Greenport, Southold and other fabulous towns to go exploring for a day trip! This area is just as beautiful during springtime , summer and fall- when the farms are bustling and leaves are changing! This is a summer community and this is open from April through October.

They even included a bottle of wine and a bag of chips and left a personal note. The place was small but very clean and really had everything we needed for the short time we were there. We were able to enjoy the beach on Sunday as well! Although the beach is rocky the short walk and the each chairs and towels that were provided for us were fantastic and we enjoyed Sunday there! The description and pictures are exactly how it was. I would highly recommend this adorable cottage to anyone in need of a weekend getaway or even a full weeks vacation, being that there is so much to do around the area!!!"
