This has been ongoing for my entire 23-day stay and still has not been resolved. When I arrived to the location, there were many windows left open so the villa had many mosquitos and bugs inside. When the cleaning company came I asked if they can close all windows before they leave and they did not, so more bugs entered. I have also called the management team to assist with the house not having hot water and they said they would send someone to take a look and no one showed up; I did not have hot water at the property for over a week. It wasn’t until one day I was leaving to go to work, and I found the owner of the house working on the yard in the property, unannounced visit, who ended up assisting me with the hot water issue. Overall very unprofessional staff."

This beautiful house, built in the 1930s, was completely renovated in 2016. It is a designer house with a new interior, but with all the charm of a traditional Portuguese house. Every detail has been made with LOVE. It is located in the Banzão-Colares pine forest (Sintra), in a very private and safe area, surrounded by the beauty of Sintra forest. Wonderful beaches and many historical sites are very close. You can walk or cycle on the beach.
This two story house can accommodate 11 guests with every comfort. The first floor has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The second floor has three more bedrooms and two bathrooms. Three crib or infant beds are available upon request. There are two living rooms (one with smart tv), a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen.
The doors are open to the living room, with garden furniture, an outdoor dining table and chairs, a kitchen near the barbecue, surrounding a beautiful pool (8 X 4 Mts) WITH FENCE PROTECTION, with 8 sun loungers + 4 garden chairs with towels.
Heated pool on request (Pool heating: EUR 25 extra charge per day). Pool heating depends on weather conditions - usually possible from April until October.
We have an additional bike rental service. It's great to go to the beach and restaurants by bike.

Colares is a wine region (DOC), the ramisco vines are some of the oldest in Portugal, known for its deep colour, full bodied red wines that are high in astringent tannins and can be tasted at the Adega Regional in a very beautiful building in the village.
The houses and imposing farms all around Colares affirm this wonderful relation with wine and its production.
Colares has mild winters, an ideal summer temperature which never gets too hot, the autumn is ideal too, is like a second spring.
One of the main attractions is the tramcar with a lovely journey that starts in Sintra (in Estefânia, next to the Sintra’s modern art museum), has a stop in Colares and ends in Maçãs Beach.

Another closest village is Almoçageme at 4km; here you find a rustic village with all of the typical narrowed streets, here you find coffee shops restaurants and food stores. Every Thursday morning there’s a farmer’s market, Saturday and Sunday all day.
The village is spread up the hill from the Atlantic Ocean. Adraga beach, was ranked as one of the 20 perfect European beaches’ by the Sunday Times.

The property composed of a villa with 300 sqm and land with 8000 sqm is located in a protected area in the Natural Park of Sintra Cascais. The access is very easy and although there are other houses in the area, there is total privacy. The location of the property is excellent since it is 5 mn away from Praia Grande and Praia da Adraga and of a small village that has all we need, supermarket, pharmacy, small clinic, hairdresser, butcher, fresh fish, groceries coffee shops etc a5 minutes away from the Sintra Historic Center where you can visit all the historic Sintra monuments classified by Unesco as world heritage and 15 minutes away from the center of Cascais and Guinch Beach. Lisbon is just 30 mn away.
The house is very well decorated. It has 5 bedrooms (with double beds) of which 3 are ensuite bedrooms. The other 2 bedrooms share a bathroom. The bedrooms have french windows to the garden. All beds have comfortable mattresses and 100% cotton sheets. Bath towels and beach towels of excellent quality are also provided. There is a big living room with comfortable sofás that through big glass sliding doors leads directly to the garden, to an exterior area with 12 seats and tables for outside lunch, dinner or breakfast. The house has a dining room with 12 seats and a big table. The TV room has two comfortable sofas, the TV is a flat screen and there is cable TV. All the house has an excellent view to the garden, sea and mountain. At night one can see the light from the Cabo da Roca light house . The house is surrounded by a big lawned garden where there is a heated pool fenced for safety of small children. The kitchen is modern and is fully equipped with all that is necessary to cook.

- "Loved the house. Excellent layout and setting with a great little town that is accessible. Great walks in the woods and lots of sites that are close to visit. Please make sure you have a car but uber does access the location as well as other delivery services. Really incredible pool and amazing grounds, seating and dining al fresco. Check in process was a bit rough and in an ideal world can be more automated but that was also my fault as I arrived at 7pm. The main thing that can be improved is supplying more cleaning products. We understand buying things but to leave two garbage bags and 3 pods for the dishwasher in a premium property with a premium price is really stingy and also we want to keep the place clean. Its a very low cost way to ensure your property is in great condition for a check out. Please make sure to notify host that 7 people or less all the beds are not made up automatically and also we found that the google location of the house is not at all correct and had to use the neighbours address for directions. THE VILLA...

Wooden flooring throughout, four spacious en-suites with silky yet crisp cotton bed linen for a luxurious feel, 2 with sea view and 2 overlooking the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. The spacious master bedroom has a super-king bed and the bathroom includes a double shower for two. There are two further double en-suite bedrooms with king beds (one with a shower enclosure, the other with a bath and shower) and a further bedroom featuring three single beds stocked with games, toys and books for all ages.

This villa is cubist, modern, yet the geometric shapes of the villa do not disturb the surrounding nature to blend in with the countryside. Spacious with wide glass windows, natural light and stunning views seep into the villa creating a relaxed and natural feel inside of the villa. A fully equipped kitchen, with an island and breakfast bar and two outside eating areas; one covered with a Weber BBQ and Le Marquier Plancha and the other next to the 14m x 4m heated swimming pool. The dense walls around the villa and 1 meter overhang on all the windows help maintain a pleasant temperature inside. All the windows are fitted with electric metal variable blinds.

A long landscaped entrance to the property, lined with centuries old olive trees, tall grasses and flowers maintain the tranquility & privacy around the villa. The pool (14m x 4m) is heated, covered with an electric curtain, saltwater treated, and we provide guest towels and pool toys. Ample parking on the property for 6 cars.

Complimentary WIFI throughout the villa, satellite TV, PlayStation, iPhone docking stations, books, dvds and games. There are numerous games for indoor and outdoor use for guests to enjoy including Basketball, table tennis and a 14ft trampoline.

The Cascais & Sintra beaches are a beauty to behold, spectacular ocean vistas with golden sand and clear seas, and the coastline is hugged by small villages offering excellent seafood restaurants wherever you look.

In front of Sintra Beach House is Magoito beach, one of the more impressive and picturesque beaches on the Sintra coastline. Renowned for its healing properties being one of the beaches with the highest iodine content in Europe. If you catch it at low tide, it can be several kilometers long and unbroken white sand. No two beaches around the villa are the same. 10 minutes south along the coast, you can find fossilized dinosaur footprints dating back around 100 million years and one of the biggest salt water swimming pools in Europe at 100 meters in length. A 100 year old tram to Sintra town center and a daily fish market. Heading 15 minutes north is Ericeira, the world surfing reserve and home to famous surfing competitions and lively nightlife.

Suitable for the young and the old, the un-spolit landscape and the relaxed and friendly Portuguese people make this a perfect destination to come to relax and unwind. Between the summer festivities with street decorations, fireworks, live music, traditional markets and food and the Sintra-Cascais Protected Reserve for nature lovers, walkers and cyclists, there is something for everyone.

- "This is a beautiful property, stunning views off to the coast with evening sunsets. It was a little windy during our stay but there was always somewhere you could find to sit in a sheltered spot and enjoy the sun. The pool is fabulous being heated and we really enjoyed the layout and decor of the property. The house manager and owner were both incredibly helpful at check in and out and organising a local taxi for us one evening too. We had great trips out to Azenhos Do Mar, Ericeira, Sintra, Libon and Cascais and some of the most amazing seafood both in restaurants but also that we bought from markets and used we made good use of the gas and charcoal BBQ's and the outdoor plancher too. Victoria really went out of her way to give us advice on restaurants and fish markets too. She and Antonio couldn't have been more helpful."
