This apartment is spaciously away from all the downtown activities, but close enough to walk if you are up for it. We walk it often and appreciate being far enough away to get there, but away from the activity when we want to keep our distance. The bar and restaurant scene is our opinion the best in town, changing and growing all the time. This apartment was built in 1922. There have been some modification to the floor plan, but it still functions very well and it has been updated to include all necessary functionality. The oak flooring is original. The kitchen has granite and all the bells and whistles. It even has a bidet. This apartment is situated so there is access to the deck with a firepit, outside TV, comfortable seating, and even a putting green if you feel like moving around a bit. We offer one private bedroom with door that closes. The other bed is in the sunroom and is open to the kitchen. There is a sleep sofa in the living room. The bathroom has an old claw foot tub what is a great soak, as well as shower.

The space
The studio is intended to feel cozy and hopefully give you a feeling of comfort. We have stocked the studio with things you may need even down to a salad spinner! We have put a lot of time in into our cleaning protocol. Laundry detergent we use Drops sensitive and stain laundry pods. We also add Downey ocean mist sent booster, white vinegar, and oxy, clean pods or oxy, clean, white revive. Drops is an amazing company, their mission is to reduce plastic bottles and waste. We actually use their boxes as compost in every property! Our cleaning protocol is extremely different when your pet will be staying, we use nontoxic floor cleaner method lemon, nontoxic spray to clean the cabinets, and steam clean the floors. For stay without pets we use Fabuloso, a bit of alcohol to clean the floor, Ajax, Lysol, Steam clean the floors, and Clorox. Bedding is all changed, including the mattress protector ( I personally have OCD so I always bring my own sheets ik… I ask that you please do not remove the plastic mattress protector cover that is under the mattress protector if you do the same thing lol). All doorhandles are wiped with a Clorox wipes for both type of reservations. Please note that throw blankets, throw pillow, and bath mat in bathroom will not always be exactly as shown in the photos ( they get washed every stay). We are extremely conscious and take preventative measures to avoid any cross-contamination between guest. Fun fact most hotels don’t actually wash the comforters just the sheets. We provide snacks and a few drink varieties for free for you guys to enjoy!

There is a shared backyard. The backyard has a strip of real grass where your dog can go potty. The rest of the grass is artificial. * Please make note currently the month of June and July the backyard is under construction. Turns out artificial grass isn’t environmentally friendly on the contrary, it releases toxic fumes that can be extremely dangerous to dogs and any living being for that matter. We are actively trying to find the best solution to cultivate a safe and enjoyable experience! * The artificial grass has already been removed and we are currently working on repunishing the soil, we hope to have a garden that guest can go ahead and just cut a piece of mint or basil to enjoy during your stay!

I also do offer arrangements such as flowers chocolates,etc for an additional fee if you’d like to surprise someone including vase:) Children are allowed 1 or 3 max! Three children are allowed only if it’ll only be one adult staying. Occupancy max is three people. You don’t have to book them in, but please inform me if they will be staying with you as soon as you book! If you’re traveling with a newborn, we do have a baby bassinet that is thoroughly washed after ever used and before check-in. Since it does have to be deep, cleaned and thrown into the washer there is an additional $15 flat fee for the duration of your stay. It is properly washed in hot water using. Draft fragrance, free newborn hyper allergenic wash.

Worried that you will not be able to check in because it’s last minute no need we have optimized check-in where you don’t have to wait for us to respond you can instantly book and you will receive check-in details directly from Airbnb!

The primary Street in front of us is an occupied by several businesses primarily auto, graphic design studio, two convenient stores, a small Christian church and 3 restaurants. At the back of the property, there is a Sikh Temple and one residential property. The closest Mosque is actually four streets down! If you are looking for a gym, we suggest InShape they have indoor and outdoor pools ( closest 16 mins including traffic). You can get a day pass, for longer stay of 7+ a weekly pass. We do not pay for the gym passes excluding for longer stay where we will pay 50% of the cost of the pass. One last thing, a laundry mat that does wash and fold is located six minutes away and has speed queens.

There is access to the back deck with a firepit and relaxing furniture. The apartment has only one private bedroom, but there is a full bed in the sunroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room.

We also offer free street parking. Jastro park is just across the street and there are wonderful, brand new pickleball counts for free pleasure.

The unit has its own gate and entrance. Very fast internet, and all conveniences are there. Just bring your love for living and come in.

This is the front unit of a trip-plex and is conveniently located just 2 min off of Hwy 58 at the H St exit. It is only 4 min from Hwy 99 making easy access to all major hospitals, businesses + Mehanics Bank Convention Center and downtown a breeze.

Guest access
Guests are given a code for the front door lock the morning of check-in. This unit is completely private and you will be the only one using the apartment and patio. There are two long term tenants located behind this apartment. The apartments are three in a row but you are in the front.

Other things to note
There is an exterior camera near the front door entrance. This camera is to discourage guests from having large parties, which are not permitted on this property.

AirBnB has labeled this property as a National Park property but we are 3 hours from the nearest National Park. We are also 2.5 hours from the beach. However, both of these destinations make for a pleasant day trip that you should consider while you are in Bakersfield.
