The space
The apartment is an antique space decorated with rustic accents to give it a more homey environment. The apartment shares a parking area with the house unit on the same lot.

This studio apartment provides value and comfort for guests looking for an efficient and way to travel to our lovely town.

The vaulted kitchen is big enough for guests to whip up a nice meal fully stocked with all the kitchen essentials. The kitchen and living space flow right together which the living space also has vaulted lighting and a two person sofa.
Guests looking to stay in a more eclectic and rustic space will enjoy this cozy little nook.

1) AGE: This apartment was originally built as an additional workspace to the storefront roughly 30 years ago. It was never intended to be a permanent residence so the quality of the construction is not to todays standards. Many parts of the residence are showing it's age. There are different styles of flooring that do not match, the floors of the apartment are uneven in several places and does have a few "soft spots", the metal roof is discolored and showing signs of wear (but it does not leak), the siding has some rotted parts near the foundation. Parts of the fence surrounding the parking area are run-down.
2) SHARED PARKING: The parking lot is shared with the house next door.

Note: If bringing a pet, please make sure to read the pet fee information under additional rules. The pet fee is a separate charge from the reservation.

Guests will have access to the entire apartment, and will share the common backyard w/ the home next door.

Forget your worries in this spacious and private guesthouse. The Retreat is 250 feet from our primary residence. Located near the Tail of the Dragon and 45 minutes from Pigeon Forge. This 660-square-foot studio-style guesthouse is recently renovated. Features include a king-size bed, queen sleeper sofa, and ample room for additional accommodations of your own.

The space
The Retreat is a studio-style guesthouse nestled between our son's home and our primary residence on 6 beautiful acres. A full bathroom featuring a shower/tub. The kitchen is equipped with a glass cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, and toaster. Start your morning off with a cup of coffee, complimentary at the coffee bar.

Guest access
Guests are free to move about the property. Children are welcome to play on our swing set but their adults must be present.

Our Grand-dog an Aussie doodle is on property. She is friendly but is not outside without a human nearby.

Grocery Services - Local businesses provide delivery services for food and groceries. Please feel free to have these delivered to the primary residence. Just make sure to send me a message so I know they are coming. If I am available, I will be more than happy to put groceries in The Retreat and put away refrigerated items.

Flying - transportation accommodations may be available to and from The Retreat and Knoxville Airport. Please message me for availability and details.

Cute, comfy cottage, 1bdr/1bath located on US 129 The Dragon. Sleeps 4, 1 qb in private br. 1 full pullout couch in LR (comfy). Full bath, kitchenette. Outside grill. All the amenities supplied. We are just minutes away from The Tail of The Dragon, GSMNP., The Smoky Mtn Speedway. We are 21 minutes from The Shed, 25 minutes from McGhee Tyson Airport, 35 minutes from UT. We are in the country, but still only 15/20 minutes back to town. Watch your speed and animals. We are in the country!!!

The space
This cute cottage is just minutes away from US 129 The Dragon. This unique cottage offers a very clean, comfortable, and cozy stay. You have a private bedroom with a comfortable queen pillow top mattress and large closet space. A full bathroom with a tub and shower and another large closet. The living room has a comfy pull out full-size couch, tv with direct tv and wifi available. Kitchenette has a microwave, toaster oven, electric tea kettle, a small air fryer, mini waffle maker, blender, crockpot, hand-held drink frother, mini fridge, lots of cabinets and all the little stuff. Keurig with some k cups provided. I have twin size flat sheets and blankets for individuals who might be sharing the same bed but would like their own sheets and blankets. The bathroom is a full-size bathroom with a tub and shower. All essentials supplied. If you are like me and most of my family, you must have a fan to help you sleep... I gotcha ya covered. I have a fan for the bedroom and living room so you won't have to pack yours. Please message me if you need to check in before 3. If I have it ready before then, you are more than welcome to come early. I have tried to think of everything you might need, but if you can't find something, please ask.

Guest access
Charcoal grill for a nice dinner outside on our 10 x 10 patio area...sit and watch the motorcycles fly by OR sit out under the stars and admire God's handy work at its best. Listen to the sounds of nature at night! It is such a treat to hear.

Be sure to put ALL FOOD back in the cottage, don't leave any in your car. We do live in the country and have the occasional wildlife in our yard. Do not leave food on the outside table. Please don't leave any food in the grill. When it has completely cooled off, cover it back up.

We are 15/20 minutes out of town. There is a Mini Mart 1 mile before the cottage. With gas and a deli. You are on your own for food. Mini fridge and toaster oven, electric tea kettle, air fryer, microwave, mini waffle maker, and outside charcoal grill provided. You will pass 2 Wal-Mart's on your way to the cottage.

Please be sure you understand that we don't live in town. We are a short drive back in town. SO PLEASE DON'T DING ME ON LOCATION. WE DO LIVE IN THE COUNTRY. THAT'S THE CHARMING PART OF THE COTTAGE.

I have an information book for you in the cottage that will help you find your way around town, places to eat, hospital, etc. I have a map of local motorcycle hot spots and the GSMNP area. Please leave it in the cottage. Take pics with your cell phones of directions if you are traveling on up the mtns. No cell service.
WE HAVE A WIFI SECURITY CAMERA on the main house facing the driveway. Your indoor space is COMPLETELY CAMERA FREE! The surveillance cameras are for both of our protection.

Your studio apartment is brand new, with a fully equipped kitchen. Climb the stairs to your lofted full foam queen bed. In the downstairs living space there is a ceiling fan, fully controllable heat and air system, a convertible couch that turns into a full bed and a 55 inch TV w/ Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, and others!

There is a full private bath with a curtain door. The space is better suited for couples or the very best of friends. :)

Coffee supplies are provided with an open fridge for any thing you may want to bring!

This studio is in a detached building in the backyard of our home. Because of this, you will have access to a fenced in back yard, large back patio, and hot tub!

We have young kids at home and we use the backyard space as well. Kids and pets may be in the backyard midday. :)

Other things to note
Well-behaved and properly vaccinated dogs are welcome and usually limited to one dog per stay due to the size of the space. The pet fee is $35 per dog per night. The total cost will be added to your reservation cost after you book. Dogs must be crated when you are not home at the apartment with them. All requests for an animal to stay must be discussed with me in advance. If you have questions or need special recommendations, please send me a message!

We have two sweet dogs and an adorable cat that will be going in and out into the shared backyard. They may want to say hi to you but will not be in your private living space!

The unit you have rented includes a ladder up to a lofted bed and we want to be extra careful. Because of this, we need to make sure you understand that using the loft to sleep or otherwise has inherent safety risks. We ask you not to use the lofted bed if you are under the influence of alcohol or other drugs, have physical limitations, or are otherwise limited in your ability to ascend and descend the ladder safely. If you have any concerns, please use the fold-out couch bed that is located on the ground floor!

Upon your arrival to this secluded setting, you will find a charming modern log house. No detail has been overlooked in the decor and furnishings to make you feel at home. On the main floor is a generous living area which includes a contemporary kitchen with many amenities, a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a laundry room, if needed. Up the staircase is the loft with a king size bed, a twin XL daybed and a sleeper sofa. Please note: this property is unsuitable for infants or children.

The space
Guests will have access to the outdoor fire pit and the gazebo (with a gas grill) for outdoor dining. Relax by the fish pond, play lawn games on the spacious yard or roast marshmallows. Please check with Host before using the fire pit to verify if any burn bans are in effect.

Other things to note
There are 3 parking spaces facing the cantilever barn and to the left of the gazebo. The designated parking space for guests is the single space directly adjacent to the left of the gazebo. Please leave circle driveway open for other vehicles. Feel free to park in front of the cabin for loading and unloading only.

Your parking is in front of the third bay (closest to the rock wall and woods). Entrance to Forest Bliss is the door on the left in the breezeway. We will text your door code prior to your arrival.

Outside you will find 2 miles of forest walking trails with three creeks, beautifully landscaped accent areas, gardens, 2 fire pit areas, an additional patio with table and chairs. Please review the list of over 60 amenities for more details.

Enjoy birdwatching, exploring the trails, reading by the creek in a hammock, or lounging on your private deck overlooking the main trailhead, grill a delicious dinner and enjoy s'mores by the campfire. (If you forget something, ask one of your neighbors - Kim and Luis in the main house and Tiffany and Sidney in the first cottage).

Other things to note
You do have access to a washer/dryer in the main house basement - Just ask and we will accommodate , or be happy to do your laundry for you!

If you are going to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area ask us for directions!!! It is a gorgeous drive with little traffic on Foothills Parkway, but the new section of the Parkway does not seem to be on maps yet and you may be directed miles out of your way! Our directions will get you to your destination with the least traffic and most natural beauty. The Walnut Grove Guesthouse is a charming little retreat nestled in at the top of hill surrounded by woods and wildlife on our 6.5 acre property. This 2 bed 1 bath stone haven is centrally located in north Knoxville, Fountain City and is close to grocery stores, parks, restaurants, and shops. The guesthouse is stylishly decorated to preserve its original charm, has comfy beds, full sized appliances and is fully stocked with everything you need for a short or long-term stay. The space
This is a small 2 bedroom one bath cottage. There is a flagstone pathway and 3 steps leading up to the porch and front door to the house. It is a one level floor plan with the only bathroom located inside one of the bathrooms. There is a queen bed in one room and a full size bed in the other. The cottage can sleep up to 5-6 guests (utilizing both beds and additional air mattresses/cots) but most comfortably suited for 2-4 guests. It is not handicap accessible- if you have limited or restricted mobility, please don’t hesitate to reach out to see if this space is right for you. We want you to be comfortable and your safety is our number one priority.

Guests have access to the entire guest house and their own private fenced yard. The basement is restricted to the hosts. There is a sports court with tennis and basketball and a picnic/ fire pit area which are shared with the host family.

Other things to note
Please be aware, the bathroom is inside the front bedroom.

There is no dishwasher or garbage disposal. Please do not put food or grease/oil down the drains.

There is no washer or dryer. There are several laundromats nearby.

There are other pets and wildlife onsite. Please be aware if you are bringing pets. Please let us know ahead of time if you plan to bring your animal. You must receive prior approval from the host. Additional fees apply.
