- "We stayed on 16 acres of heaven in a lovely cabin for three nights. The cabin, named after one of the Cartwright boys from Bonanza, was exactly as described. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped, and well served by friendly and helpful hosts. It is super convenient to Knoxville and would be perfect for a UT football weekend or just a treading getaway. The Smokey Mountain National Park is but 30 minutes away in the other direction. The pond with fountain and nature trail with actual nature are beautiful. Saw two deer by the creek. Downtown Knoxville and the beautiful Volunteer Landing are a short walk away.
***Please note that the boat must stay at the marina and attached to the slip. I will provide a golf cart for your use during your stay for transporting your belongings. Please be considerate and not keep it out for extended periods of time and do not leave it in the parking lot. **Absolutely NO parties or loud outdoor music is permitted and additional visitors must get host approval to maintain the security of the marina. Quiet hours are 10pm-7am. I take the marina requirements very seriously and guests may be asked to vacate with no refund if I receive a complaint. It is a family oriented facility and being able to rent my houseboat here is a privilege. Thank you for making it a pleasant location for all marina guests.

This is a studio apartment that shares a roof with the main residence. It is separated from the main house by a breezeway that has spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains. You are welcome to explore the property's five acres (no bears!). The space
This cozy little studio attic apartment is perfect for couples who want to be close to downtown, but still want the privacy of a small quiet neighborhood during their stay. The angled ceilings in this flat are finished with a beautiful shiplap design, adding to the unique feel of the space. Although this home is a duplex, both apartments include entrances that are completely private, so all areas mentioned will be just for you.

Sleeping arangements in the open bedroom area include a comfortable queen and twin bed with top quality bedding and linens to make you feel right at home. In the living room, a flat screen TV is ready to connect to any of your favorite personal streaming applications, providing entertainment for those who choose to spend an evening in.

The kitchen is equipped with a hot plate and a microwave for cooking all your meals. An oven is not currently available in this unit. Stainless steel appliances include a microwave, dishwasher and 2 mini-refrigerators. You'll also find all the cookware, utensils, flatware and dishes you need to prepare a meal start to finish. Our butcher-block island with bar seating for 2-3 can also serve as a work space, if needed.

Finally, the bathroom is equipped with a shower stall and is stocked with the necessary toiletries you'll need during your stay. The washer and dryer are located inside the back door just off the downstairs unit, in a separate shared space all their own. You have a beautiful view of the river and Islands from the front porch. There is kayak, canoe, paddle board access/ramp on the property and a dock on the river. Fish for small mouth bass, trout, or skip jack heron off the dock. You can occasional spot a bald eagle perched in the trees along the banks of the Holston River, observe river otters, water fowl (ducks, geese, herons), or deer wading the river. The cabin is only 1.5 miles from Interstate 40 (I-40) and minutes from downtown Knoxville and the University of Tennessee campus. Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are just a short drive away. I-40 Interstate overpass is adjacent to the property. You can hear the traffic noise from I-40 and an adjacent highway. You will have full access of the entire cabin, dock and canoe ramp. The East Knoxville Fishing Club has access to the Holston River through this property, so it is possible to have a fisherman park in the area or at the canoe ramp for a few hours. The ramp is at the opposite end of the property from where the cabin is located. There is no cable TV (local channels only) and no wi-fi included; however, cell service is strong in the area.

Enjoy a morning cup of coffee on the screened-in deck while watching all manor of birds like cardinals and humming birds wiz around. You can explore a working horse ranch, or potentially arrange a relaxing ride. I was there in August, and in the evening, you listen to the steady sound of cicadas in the trees. The apartment is very tastefully decorated with the horse ranch theme, and lots of cool touches with repurposed items throughout. It has a little kitchenette with a minifridge to keep those beverages nice and cold. And your host Michelle is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. Oh, and you're only about 10 minutes down a well paved road to shopping and the edge of Knoxville! I would highly recommend the House Mountain Ranch for anybody looking to get away, but not too far away."

We want our guests to know that they are not only staying in a renovated stylish Condo, but a clean one as well. That is why we take cleaning and sanitation very seriously. All bed sheets and linens will be washed after every stay as well as sanitizing all surfaces and commonly touched items. The entire building is exterminated every 2 weeks.
Imagine after a long day, waking up on a comfy memory foam mattress to those large panoramic windows. You grab your phone off of the built-in wireless charging night stand. You are scrolling through your feeds and listening to the news on the smart assistant speaker in the bedroom when you realize you need coffee. Although you don’t want to get out of bed, you muster enough energy to get to the Nespresso machine in the kitchen. There, you find an assortment of different signature full-bodied coffees. As you're making coffee, you put on a record or 2 (perhaps some Rod Stewart?) on the bluetooth enabled record player and enjoy the view from the living room. As the coffee is working its magic, you hear a work email come through the phone.
Since you're the "work from home" type, you grab your laptop and sit at the desk in the comfy work chair. You quickly get on our ultra fast high speed internet to get some work done when you realize you need to leave by a certain time. You notice that there is a smart assistant clock on the desk and ask it to set a reminder to leave in case you forget what time it is and don’t have enough time to shower.
After a long day, you come “home” and immediately lay down on the comfy blue chaise which fits 3 adults comfortably. You dim the living room light behind the couch to your perfect mood and you turn on the 55 inch Smart Roku TV. (There is free Peacock Premium TV along with Roku Live TV provided to you. All other streaming services will require your own account). You know there is something missing and realize that there is smart mood lighting behind the TV that can be turned on. Who doesn’t need more mood lighting? Although there is so much for you to do and explore in Knoxville, you can't seem to leave this amazing haven.
Fortunately for you, the kitchen is fully equipped to make a delicious meal yourself. The kitchen is equipped with all high end appliances as well as necessary cookware and utensils. You imagine eating a home cooked meal while listening to some good music and enjoying a nice view… “yes I think I will be staying in tonight”. Guests will be able to access the entire Condo.

Relax in our spacious 2 bedroom apartment with living room , full size kitchen, dining room for 6, full size laundry and three bathrooms, one upstairs one downstairs and one outside. Downstairs we have a king size bed in one room with a 43" smart tv . In the other bedroom have 3 twin size beds with plenty of usb standard and C ports for all your charging needs. There is also a large 3/4 bathroom complete with privacy stall and oversized shower. Wifi Speeds up to 1 gig and a 70" smart tv upstairs for all your streaming needs. We also have a large library of DVD's and VHS ( yes I said VHS) for your viewing pleasure. There is a swimming pool and grill area with outdoor table and restroom if you choose to enjoy the weather. Weather permitting, we offer an outdoor movie experience complete with a 37 ft screen, surround sound and 4 gas fire pits. Everything is freshly renovated, inside and out. Plenty of parking and covered parking for motorcycles, close to airport and less than 1 hour to Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg , Tail of the dragon and many other tourist areas.
There are 4 outdoor cameras for your security and ours. One that covers the parking area, one that covers the pool, one that covers the pool and theater, one that covers the theater and fire pit area. These are not monitored but recorded if they need to be reviewed.

This cozy and private one bedroom cabin has stunning mountain and meadow views with a plush king size Nectar bed and a queen sleeper sofa (suitable for children - after all a sofa bed has a 3 inch mattress). The cabin is spacious, with an open concept living area. Kitchen is well equipped with amenities available in most standard kitchens. The bathroom is newly renovated and includes a washer and dryer. A wide variety of books, games and hiking will help you relax and unwind. TV’s are in the bedroom and living area. Free parking.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the cabin side of the building. Free parking is available on the gravel turnaround. The garage side of the cabin will not be accessible to guests. The owners live onsite and may work in the garage attached to the cabin from time to time during your stay.

There are 3 ponds on the property. Please watch children closely as bodies of water are a danger to them.
This is a country setting. This includes lots of wildlife to enjoy! However, wildlife can pose a danger so you must exercise good judgement and caution, especially during mating season or when the baby animals are present. Best to enjoy the animals from a distance instead of approaching them.

As we were looking for properties, we had to do tons of research and the internet worked perfectly for that. Even though we happened to pick a very rainy week, we really enjoyed having the windows open and enjoyed the breeze and the fresh air, and the AC was perfect for the night time. The communication with Cheri was perfect. If we needed anything, she was right on top of it, answering questions right away. The family's house is right there, but you would never know it. They kept to themselves and we had plenty of privacy. Overall, we loved the cabin and would stay again if we were in the area!"

I have hosted hundreds of people and many artists and writers who have retreated at my place for inspiration. I have housed medical students in residency, families of students attending the University of TN, many folks nearing retirement looking for property in the area, traveling nurses, quarry consultants from Italy, millwork artisans, artists for FanBoy Expo in July, band members traveling to town to play, bands who have played at Big Ear's Festival in March, actors being filmed in area for movies, film makers, authors for writer retreats, artists for inspiration and local shows or attendees of Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts, business travelers, extended family visiting the area, stop overs for long distance travelers, production team members filming in the area, videographers, photographers, composer of an opera (I bought tickets and attended! He and his wife have come several times), honeymooners, spring/fall/winter break students, family reunions, friend reunions, even a cool eclipse chaser from England who told me how her Jewish parents met in a Nazi concentration camp in Poland! I have been so fortunate to host the most amazing people from ALL OVER THE WORLD to share their stories from their life journeys with me. I am so blessed to be a host.

The Casteel Branch house is located beside a spring fed creek called the Casteel Branch in the foothills of the Smokies. Our yard is a park-like setting. Be sure to take time to enjoy the birds, sit by the babbling creek, rest in one of the hammocks, sit outside on the patio surrounded with shabby chic fairy lights, enjoy the moments you have here in tranquility.

This listing is for a basement mother in law apartment that comfortably sleeps two, but could accommodate 5 people. I reside in home above this apartment.

I have added a new oven, dishwasher, new task lighting in the kitchen. I have also added a new charcoal grill out on the patio.

There is a very comfortable Queen mattress in the apartment bedroom with plenty of dressers. The queen bed has two Wheat Dreams Queen Pillows – 20” x 30” (Cotton Zippered Shell Filled with Organic Buckwheat – Made in USA) $100 each pillow ~ Pillow Tip: You can carve out a comfy little “ear hole” when you’re sleeping on your side / provides versatile, flexible support that conforms to your head and neck contours. Pillow is properly filled no more than 2/3 volume so there is room for shaping. Each is covered with a UltraPlush Premium Waterproof Pillow Protector – (Hypoallergenic and Bed Bug Proof Zippered Pillow Case in Super Soft and Quiet Queen 20”x 30”) $25 each pillow cover. I have tried to invest for your proper rest. I also added two Adjustable Foldable Bed Desks for Laptop, Reading and Writing. I have a small tv with a Smart DVD player in the bedroom. And I can provide up to 3 white waffled robes for added comfort.

For cleaning during your stay, since I do offer monthly discount ~ I have provided a vacuum, broom, Swiffer, bar keepers friend, sanitizing wipes, toilet brush and cleaner, etc. We also have an iron and small ironing board in bedroom linen closet along with a counter top washing machine (bring your laundry soap) and I have clothes pins if you want to line dry items.

Off of the bedroom is a closet nook with a single bed that has a touch of whimsy (a favorite of my 4 grown children and all of my college guests). I painted a mural of mountains on the walls of this room, added hot air balloon lights, and LED lights, and included a sleep machine, reading light, and a fan for a magical get away. The twin in this offset from main bedroom is small and packed with pillows cased in bright fantastical colored covers.

In the sitting room there is a small retro chrome dining room set and one twin daybed with another twin trundle that rolls out into room. And I have a 43" 4K Ultra HD Smart Roku LED TV in the sitting room with Xfinity cable.
There is one full bath and a small foyer area outside the bathroom with a large lighted mirror and a small dresser upon which you will find a hair dryer and curling iron. We have provided an initial supply of toilet paper along with a few extra rolls, but these may not be enough for your entire stay and you may need to purchase additional supplies.

There is a small galley kitchen with small apartment sized refrigerator with small freezer, dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffee pot, plates, silverware, pots/pans, etc. for your use. I have cutting board, cookie sheets, pizza pan, pizza slicer, cake/muffin/pie pan, wok, crock pot, blender, colander, mixing bowls, etc. Paper towels and dish soap and coffee and filters are provided to get you started (maybe not enough for your entire stay)~ as well as spices and things left by other thoughtful guests.

The basement patio is for you to enjoy. We have STRONG wifi. There are plenty of games and books for your leisure. Many guests have taken pillows and blankets and books out to enjoy the hammocks in the yard for a restful time. Outside on my lawn guests have had picnics, played frisbee golf, played games, lounged in the hammocks, had children play in the creek, and just really enjoyed being surrounded by nature. Bird watching is great from the patio too!

We have a travel map for you to place a pin where you are from! You will be amazed to see how many travelers have found refuge at our place ~ they have brought their cosmopolitan flare from all over the world to our East TN home!

I have added about 50 books on the greater Knoxville area and they are marked as my permanent collection to stay for all guests. You can read about the city, Cades Cove, Elkmont, The Walker Sisters, local history, Indian history of the area, about local logging and marble quarries, ghost stories, disappearances in the Smoky Mountains, books on hiking, local cook books, and biographical books. Also, I figured most would not go to Visitor Centers to purchase maps and information about Auto Tours of the Great Smoky Mountains. I have purchased these and labeled them to stay in my apartment for all guests to access (replacement fees will be as follows if missing after your stay), but for your planning purposes I have included these in a welcome bucket:

Right down the road (0.3 miles) is the bridge over Stock Creek (Present Day Volunteer Cove Marina where you can rent jet skis and pontoons) where a skirmish had occurred during the Civil War. Many use metal detectors in and around the waterways to find relics from the Civil War around here.

I do have a business license, remit taxes, and am properly insured. I have smoke alarms, fire extinguishers (One designated for kitchen and another in living room), in bedroom there is a fire Extinguishing Spray in Aerosol Spray Can, Stove Top Fire Stops, carbon monoxide alarm in the apartment. So far I have had a most wonderful experience hosting travelers from around the world.

It wasn’t a huge deal, as my group had discussed it ahead of the trip and agreed we were down for it. But I’ll note, it’s a karaoke bar. So if you attempt to sleep before bar time you’ll be too busy laughing your butt off at random terrible off key singers. You can hear basically every word. Night two we decided to lean in it and went down to check it out. Very fun vibe. 2) This one is just me, my friends didn’t seem to care at all. But I’m an always aware of my surroundings traveler. From the time we checked in, and every time we went in and out of the entryway that is inside of the bar patio area, it felt like someone was saying “Oh they are staying at the rental upstairs”, “They must be staying at Halie’s place”, “Isn’t the flat so cute? I’ve stayed there a few nights.”, and other variations of “Are you guys renting Halie’s place?” For me, I didn’t like everyone around knowing that we were tourist and where we were staying. It made me feel like we were a sitting ducks for potential crime. In retrospect these were just friends and acquaintances of Halie, but it rubbed me the wrong way that everyone knew who we were. That said, would 100% stay here again! Would recommend. Amazing host! Clean, beautiful property!"

This unit does have stairs and the 1 bath and bedroom is located on the second floor overlooking the living room area. Very convenient for UT Ballgames and events as well close to the Pigeon Forge, Knoxville, and Gatlinburg.

The space
Your room includes a queen bed with 4 pillows, 40 inch TV with a Roku remote, a desk and chair, a lock and key for the bedroom door, bath towels. Any thing else you might need please ask!

This is a 3 bedroom house. I rent 2 rooms out on Airbnb. Both of these rooms share a bathroom. The 3rd room I use as an office. I am not here every day but if I am there I do usually bring my dog!

Sleep tight in our sunny corner bedroom. The house stays quiet and the neighborhood cats are outdoor only. Our home is tucked away on a dead end street- just minutes from breweries, coffee shops and the best bakehouse (WildLove) and Jewish deli (Potchke) in the southeast. The downtown public library, art museums, and parks are a ten minute drive away.

The bed is a trundle bed with a second mattress underneath so the room can comfortably sleep two.
