Close to downtown Salt Lake City and airport, we are located in Bountiful, Utah, the city of beautiful homes and gardens! Bus stop to downtown Salt Lake City is a very short walk from our home. 15 minutes to Salt Palace (ask us for free Salt Palace parking passes). Sundance Film Festival is about 40 minutes away (by car). Our home is 45 minutes or less to the popular ski resorts, Park City (45 min 40.4 miles), Canyons (40 min 36.9 miles), Alta (49 min 36.9 miles), Snowbird (26 min 23.6 miles), Solitude, Brighton, Powder Mountain and Deer Valley. We are good with directions and happy to assist with information on restaurants and grocery stores close by. The current severe drought in Utah has resulted in the City of Bountiful imposing water restrictions at this time. We ask our guests to limit time in the shower and use less water when washing their dishes. Thank you for your understanding.

You enter our AirBB rooms independently by walking down our driveway through a large gate towards the back of our house. Turn right. Pass the first door and enter the large gray door with a welcome sign on it. At nighttime, motion sensor lights will guide your way. Other guests share kitchen/laundry/bathroom./patio area. Washer and dryer, laundry soap is included! In the summer, we have a large vegetable garden that we share. Host lives onsite.

Deer frequent the orchard behind our home and our backyard.

We are not set up for children at this time. No pets.

No smoking on the property (People can smoke in a park up the hill).

The current severe drought in Utah has resulted in the City of Bountiful imposing water restrictions at this time. We ask our guests to limit time in the shower and use less water when washing their dishes.

"Beautiful in Bountiful" is 7 miles from downtown Salt Lake City. A quick drive to Park city (24 miles) and only 25 miles from Ogden. The home is 1.5 miles from the 1-15 freeway that runs North and South throughout Utah and 13.3 miles to and from the Salt Lake international airport. The city of Bountiful is a suburb of rolling hills in Davis county and is well known for both its natural beauty and its high quality of life with many local parks, amenities, and strong community vibes.

The space
Free parking in the 2 car driveway and along the street (on non-winter storm days) This home is fresh and modern. Located on the East side of the home are 3 large windows that provide plenty of natural light into the first bedroom and main living areas. The second bedroom is perfect for those who prefer a quiet space to slumber. The kitchen has all the amenities needed: keurig coffee maker with complimentary creamer, coffee, and sugar. a toaster, microwave, popcorn machine, pots/pans, and all the dishes one would need to host a nice meal. There is a shared laundry room that the hostess shares with the guests and tries to work around guests schedules in making the washer/dryer available during their stay. Wood burning fireplace and firewood available to guests in the main living area. Televisions in both bedrooms and in living area are equipped with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and many more available apps through guests login. The bathroom offers a complimentary blow dryer, hot iron, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. The first bedroom has an ironing board and iron located in the guest closet. During the summer months, the backyard is available for use of the inground trampoline, inground fire pit with available firewood, two porch swings, bbq grill, gazebo and dining table seating for 8.

The entrance to this split home is located on the South West side of the property near the two car garage driveway. You have touchpad personal access to the 2 bedroom 1 bathroom open living room/kitchen and dining area via the front door which is located on the South West side of the home. Your free parking spaces are right outside the door and the neighborhood is a pleasant and quiet community.

The home has central heating and air conditioning and the thermostat is a touch screen and located in the main living area.

This is Quail Run, so named because it sits in the path of a Quail covey that feeds in the main house’s garden. Built in 2019, it is perched above a garage and behind the main house, this peaceful haven, nestled in the center of the block, is located in the vibrant University Historic District with many amenities within only a 5 minute walk.

The space
I have created the interior with reclaimed materials and décor that invokes a by gone era. From old wood panels from the late 1800’s with wallpaper from the 1920’s still clinging to them, to the unique sink I crafted from an old door and plumbing pipe. Beautiful light plays upon the 550 square foot loft, & pitched ceiling extends 17 feet high creating a light & expansive space. Huge double doors open onto a large deck where you may sit at the table with a bird’s eye view of the surroundings.

Sorry but no cats.

This is stand alone house above a garage, you have full access to the apartment but garage is for the house's use. There are shelves in the garage that you may use for storage. Parking is on the street, but you may drive up to the door to load/unload. There is not a yard but a nice big deck with table to enjoy the outdoors. Keypad entry.

There is high speed wifi (no T.V.), fully equipped kitchen, and comfortable furnishings. Starter hand soap, cleaning supplies, some shower essentials, towels and bedding are supplied.

Other things to note
Guest is responsible for taking garbage and recycling to the bins by the main house each Sunday eve. You may go through the main house's back yard to access the garbage/recycling cans, making sure to close all gates tightly coming and going (dog safety), and only when dogs are not present. No cats.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to know that the bed is in a loft that is only accessed by a relatively steep, narrow (but sturdy) wooden ladder. Because of this, this place is probably not for everyone and is not suitable for children. There is also a twin-size air mattress and bedding available.

In the warmer months you might hear original folk music coming from over the fence as talented musicians live next door. Enjoy a free concert or take advantage of the white-noise machine if needed.

Located at an elevation of 6,000 feet, this home sits 1,000-1,500 feet above the Salt Lake Valley, offering a stunning and scenic drive to reach it. The higher altitude provides cooler temperatures and breathtaking mountain views.

While there's one restaurant about a mile away (an enjoyable walk for those who like a long stroll), most amenities—like coffee shops, grocery stores, and gas stations—will require a short drive (~15 minutes). However, for outdoor enthusiasts, the convenience of having countless hiking and biking trails right from the property more than makes up for the extra driving.

If you’re looking for a city vibe with cafés and shops around the corner, this may not be the spot for you. But if you’re after serene mountain views, fresh air, and easy access to nature, you’ll feel right at home!

The unit has a separate entrance around the back of the home. Guests will be provided a personalized door code that will work for the duration of their stay.

Guests staying in the winter will need to shovel the path to the unit.

The Unit: This is a walkout basement with large windows and plenty of natural light. It feels bright and spacious with a completely private entrance.

Pets: We welcome guests with pets! We also have pets of our own and while we pride ourselves on cleanliness, those with severe pet allergies or a strong aversion to a stray hair or two may want to choose a pet-free listing.

Family Home and Sound: We live upstairs with our toddler, who is out of the house from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM on weekdays and typically awake from 7:30 AM to 8:30 PM. While we try to keep noise levels to a minimum, guests may hear some occasional sounds during the hours when he's home and awake. We’re mindful of quiet hours to ensure your stay is as peaceful as possible.

Hot Tub: The hot tub, located just outside the bedroom window of the rental unit, is shared between us and our guests. While we generally avoid using it during guest stays to ensure your privacy, we do occasionally use it as we also enjoy the mountain views. If you'd prefer exclusive use of the hot tub, let us know, and we'll happily accommodate whenever possible!

Check-in/Check-out: We’re happy to accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs when possible, especially on weekdays—just let us know in advance!

The Bed: The guest suite has a standard U.S. queen-sized, medium-firm memory foam mattress. If you prefer a softer or larger bed, this may not be the ideal fit.

Enter through your separate entrance into a common area featuring a fully stocked kitchenette (incl fridge, sink and induction stove top) and dining area. To your left, enjoy a full workout area with yoga/workout mats, weights and a Peloton bike. Proceed to your right through a small hallway to the full bath on your left and continue straight into the master bedroom with a king size bed. A ladder leads to a loft featuring a desk and queen size bed.

Guest access
Guests have access to the full guest house with separate entrance. The yard and ~1.5k sf patio with outdoor kitchen and Traeger grill are available for shared use with ping pong table and darts.

Guests also have access to a locked, temperature controlled gear room to store outdoor gear (bikes, skis, etc) during their stay.

Other things to note
The space does not have a washer/dryer. There is a laundromat 500ft from the home and we are happy to run a wash for you if needed during your stay.
