The space
The Undercroft at Fairview Cottage is the lower ground self contained apartment within this two-storey cottage, (Tourist Board Registered) and is set amongst woodland trees at the foot of Knocklayde Forest.

The spacious ground-floor apartment has a open plan living and dining area with modern décor with uninterrupted views across to Rathlin Island and Fairhead.

The lounge and dining area includes full kitchen, casual seating, cosy underfloor (air source) heating, smart television and WIFI fibre-optic broadband internet access (throughout cottage).

Fully equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, microwave, electric oven, cooker and washing/drying machine Iron and ironing board. Separate downstairs utility room and drying closet with w/c and storage for outdoor equipment.

A master bedroom and en-suite can be configured as a double or twin room. The second family room has one king double, a single bed and cot, directly adjacent to the main bathroom and shower.

The second-floor is my own private apartment accessed at the front primary entrance to the Cottage. “The Undercroft” has a separate private access to the rear and sliding door access to the patio and the garden in “the Glen”.

The Undercroft at Fairview Cottage has its own covered patio and self-contained Barbeque and outdoor seating area.

The Cottage is adjacent to Salthouse Hotel, Fairview House and Salthouse Eco Lodges.

The space
The Bothy is a 4 star NI Tourist Board accredited accommodation. It was first opened in March 2014 but only recently became available through Airbnb. Dating from the 1700s the Bothy has been fully modernised whilst retaining all its original charm. The thick walls, modern insulation and central heating ensure that it is beautifully warm throughout the year whilst the fully equipped kitchen has an energy efficient oven/hob and appliances that are all A-rated or higher. 

All accommodation is on the ground floor. Two bedrooms: 1 x double and 1 x twin. Bath with deluge shower over, basin and WC. Lounge with dining area, hall and fitted kitchen. Note: There are two internal steps. 

Oil central heating with woodburner in lounge. Electric oven & hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, Wifi, Smart TV, DVD, radio/CD, library of books, games & DVDs, cot & highchair, hairdryer, fresh flowers and welcome pack.

"The Cottage" is situated on my farm. It is very quiet and away from the main road. It is south facing with its own garden area. Looking out the living room window is the garden area , green fields, woodland and a unique view of Knocklayde, the large hill overlooking Ballycastle. The building consists of a small kitchen with fridge, washing machine, gas cooker and sink. There is a door off the kitchen to the outside patio. The living room has a woodburning stove and leads on to 2 bedrooms.

The space
The cottage is part stone built and part block built with wooden ceilings throughout. The kitchen is ceramic tiles and the rest of the cottage is laminate flooring. The main entrance is accessed directly from the garden area. Feel free to have a BBQ! Logs etc are provided FOC for the stove and extra logs can be purchased if required. The hot water and heating is provided by an efficient gas water heater situated in the kitchen. This is a very private little cottage and a unique building to stay in. It is accessed by a well maintained lane. The main part of the cottage is over 200 years old and has been extended over the years from both ends. It is simply decorated in keeping with the character of the building yet boasts a lot of modern conveniences. In the kitchen there is a washing machine, gas cooker, microwave and fridge, electric kettle and toaster. An iron and ironing board are available as is a fold out clothes drier.

The cottage has a well equipped open plan kitchen with a dining/living area containing a multi fuel stove; perfect to put the fire on and cosy up on a cold winters night. The first bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has two single beds (bunk bed) and a pull out trundle bed. There is a pull out sofa in the living room. There is also a recently renovated bathroom with shower and a relaxing sunroom. The front garden has a patio area with picnic table and there are garden chairs and a BBQ for guests to use. It is a walk away from the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and a car journey from the Giants Causeway (a world heritage site), Bushmills Distillery, and many famous Game of Thrones filming locations. It is just a short drive to Ballycastle where you can take the ferry to Rathlin Island and visit the bird sanctuary, where, if you are lucky, you can catch a glimpse of a Puffin. The Mill is ideally situated for the many attractions of the Causeway Coast. Situated between Ballycastle and Bushmills, the house is surrounded by several acres of streams, gardens, fields and Grade II Listed Mill buildings and is a short drive from the Giant's Causeway, Dark Hedges, White Park Bay, Ballintoy, Bushmills Distillery, Carrick-a-Rede and Ballycastle (all approximately 10 to 15 minutes by car).

Situated between Ballycastle and Bushmills, the Mill cottage forms part of an 18th century watermill complex set in roughly 4 acres of grounds. The cottage is bounded by a stream to the front which runs 20 yards from the front door and a mill race which runs immediately to the rear. The house itself is in an elevated position looking down over the main lawn onto the stream.

The two-storey house house benefits from a large and well appointed kitchen. There are two reception rooms and a utility and downstairs shower room. There is also a good size ground floor double-bedroom.

Upstairs there are two double bedrooms (one of which has a double and a single bed) and a small single bedroom and a bathroom.

There is also high-speed wireless internet throughout most of the house.

The deck and garden can be accessed from the sitting room and the kitchen, making this a great space for al fresco dining and socialising. Upstairs there are 2 further double bedrooms and a shower room with toilet.
There is a small garden at the front of the house and ample space to park 2/3 cars.

We would like our guests to know that we adopt the highest standards of cleanliness at all times to ensure a clean and safe environment for our guests. As the keys are held in a secure key box at the front door, guests can let themselves in without any need for contact. In addition the keys and the key box will be thoroughly cleaned after every guest as well as all door handles and every surface in the cottage. The cottage is detached and private with plenty of outdoor space so there is plenty of room for guests to relax and enjoy the space without any concerns about contact with others outside of their group.

Electricity is for in house domestic use only. For safety and insurance reasons guests must not charge electric cars at Tornaroan Cottage. Please note that there IS NOT a dedicated electric charge point at Tornaroan Cottage, charging points are available in Ballycastle at the Spar supermarket on Moyle Road, in the car park behind the petrol station on Castle Street and at the Salthouse Hotel at the top of Dunamallaght Road.
