We couldn't get the heat on but Valerie fixed that quickly..The wifi password emailed to me was incorrect but we found the correct one in the binder. I wish the binder had been left on the dining table so we would have found it earlier. The incomplete tile work in the half bath was dirty with exposed holes in the wall. But I would rent this unit again."

Our cottage ideally located in the heart of the ever popular Stoneybatter (revealed as Dublin’s coolest neighbourhood), within walking distance of the City Centre, Phoenix Park, the LUAS, shops, restaurants and much more.
Please note: our entire house is only available on very few days during the year. We will open the calendar accordingly.
The space
Our cottage is bright and airy, complete with two king-size beds with a comfy mattress and mattress topper for extra comfort. In order to host 6 people, we can offer an automatically inflatable double bed is quite large and easily fits 2 people (it inflates and deflates in less than 5 min) and it’s very comfortable as well for an inflatable bed (there is a picture of it on the listing with the brand and dimensions). There is also space on the sofa for one person to sleep comfortably, if needed.

Our home has a very good and modern underfloor heating system on a thermostat. It’s always nice and cozy inside in the winter.

Other things to note
As the house is in the city, the parking is metered during certain times. Please let me know in advance if you do intend to park a car, I can provide permits for shorter stays so there are no fees, for longer stays we can work something out. There is usually an empty space right in front of the house but if not then chose any other space available on the road. The road is quite narrow also so take care while manoeuvring up and down.

If you are visiting Ireland as a tourist, it really isn’t necessary to have a car while in the city. Parking is limited and everything is within walking distance from the house. Also the tram service and buses are very convenient. I recommend only getting a hire car for the portion of your journey where you plan to travel outside of Dublin.

The space
These tiny urban cottages are absolutely unique, and only found in Ireland. My house is 38m2 with an additional 8m2 mezzanine bedroom. It is located in a quiet cul-de-sac built over a century ago for workers at the nearby Guinness Storehouse.

My cottage was completely renovated in 2018, with a stylish new kitchen and bathroom, and a mezzanine level with a specially commissioned staircase. A number of velux windows in the high ceilings, keep the house bright and airy. I have a very small yard with garden furniture. You're also welcome to use my wood burning stove.

Please note that the mezzanine level is not full adult head height and that the staircase up to the mezzanine has an open banister. If you are traveling with infants or young children, take this into account before deciding to book.

The new sofa bed is a small double (130 wide, 224 long when in bed position). and can be curtained off for privacy.

Please understand before your book that this is my home and not a hotel or dedicated rental property. As a result, it is clean and tidy, and offers better quality amenities at a lower price than most rental-only properties, but many features are over 100 years old. Please rent my cottage for its charm and style, but do not expect everything in it to look new or spotless.
