Our Guest Lodging is part of the property which is also an Overnight Horse Boarding Facility. We refer to this listing as 'The Bunkhouse' which has rustic log furniture for that Western and Cowboy appeal. It is located in the Spectacular Wapiti Valley which is approximately 16 miles from Cody and 30 miles from the East Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Ranch is located on Stagecoach Trail which leads East to Cody and West to Yellowstone directly onto Hwy 14-16-20 in either direction.

ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING ON THE PROPERTY OR IN THE UNITS. We apologize for the inconvenience but we live in the very dry area and wildfires are a huge concern.

We recommend bringing your own steaming device (Apple TV, Amazon Firestick, Roku, etc.) if you want to watch TV during your visit. We do not have cable on the property. But we do provide a TV with an HDMI connection.

*PER WYOMING FISHING REGULATIONS, FISHING SEASON ON OUR SECTION OF THE RIVER IS JULY 1-MARCH 31. NO FISHING IS PERMITTED ON THE PROPERTY PRIOR TO JULY 1. Other areas of Cody and the river can be accessed for fishing.

Lodging is surrounded by the Shoshone River with easy access for its own private trout fishing experience. Has its own entrance and parking area. The Bunkhouse has 10 foot ceilings with french doors and a quaint covered porch, barbeque grill and picnic area. The bunkhouse has its own kitchen, bathroom, washer/dryer and a private bedroom with a beautiful queen log bed. There is also a custom log bunk bed (twin on top and full on bottom) and a log futon couch (approximately a queen size bed).

- "The perfect spot for our friends vising from Germany! Close walk to food and beverage and the house was cozy and clean. The space
Carter creek escape is a ranch style house, sitting in a nice quiet rural setting and farming ranchlands. It is quiet, off the beaten path location with a creek running through the property. There are large, mature trees around the large open front yard with the front patio area with out door dining set and barbecue. The parking is in the back of the house. You will enter the house through the rear entry and laundry room, where the washer, and dryer are located.  You will then enter the main living area, with an open floor plan, with the newly remodeled fully equipped kitchen with bar seating for three on the right, an with the dining table for six, and the comfortable sectional couchs for six is on your left. The first of the three bedrooms is known as the bear room. It has a king size, log bed, with a purple mattress, sitting on an adjustable base, with matching log dressers. The second bedroom has a queen size log bed with a Vert mattress on an adjustable base, with matching log dresser. The third bedroom is a queen size log bed, with matching log dresser and office workspace.  All the bedrooms have TVs with Roku, and the main living area has a large, smart TV. The bathroom is a shower tub combination, with linen closet with bath towels and wash cloths.

Guest access
Guest will park in the back of the house and enter the house through the back door with a code lock. You’ll have full access to the house, front patio and large front yard.

The Double L Bar Cottage is in the beautiful Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem nestled at the base of the Absaroka Mountains of Northwest Wyoming. The homestead cabin is located 30 miles southwest of Cody, Wyoming, and 90 minutes from the East Gate to Yellowstone National Park. Hardpan Creek can be heard from the cabin and guests enjoy our abundant trails, hiking, fishing, hunting, biking, camping, stargazing, and photographic opportunities. Abundant wildlife provides a safari like experience.

The space
The Double L Bar Homestead Cabin provides our guests with a comfy home environment. Relax and enjoy the surrounding vistas, wildlife and recreation activities. The wildlife and hiking opportunities are world class. This location is remote and one of the last best undisturbed ecosystems.

Guest access
Our guests have unlimited access to the Double L Bar Ranch property and access to the Southfork of the Shoshone River for world-class trout fishing. Parking is available at the front of the Homestead Cabin and in the back for handicap accessibility.

Other things to note
This secluded property borders the National Forest and Bureau of Land Management Lands. A 3-mile hike out the backdoor will put you in the Washakie Wilderness. Check-in: 4 PM, Check-Out: 11 AM. We are 90 minutes from Yellowstone National Park, via Cody, Wyoming. World Class Ice Climbing attracts athletes from around the world. A 15 minute drive will put you on the trail to Ice climbing paradise!
