The cottage is great for a getaway, close to the mountains and town. Only 3 miles from Old Town and 1 mile to the foothills. We have decided to make the cottage available to guests since our brother can no longer live with us due to his health.
The location is quiet and peaceful with a country feel yet close to many wonderful adventures awaiting you in Old Town or the mountains.
We have two geared bikes that you can use to explore Old Town or ride the bike path along the Poudre River.
Or, you could just relax with a quick meal prepared with the microwave or toaster oven and enjoy a lazy morning with a cup of coffee.

The WestSide Cottage (Larimer Co. STR Lic #21-ZONE3177) has a lovely, rural feeling situated on a couple acres surrounded by old trees and small horse properties, yet just a short walk to City Park 9 Golf Course, Sheldon Lake and the City Park pool. Close to Old Town, breweries, The Discovery Center and the new CSU Canvas stadium, the Poudre Canyon. The Cottage is a quaint and cozy 3 bedroom farmhouse.

Enjoy our spacious and relaxing patio! There's lots of seating to enjoy an evening under the stars with the fire pit, and string lights. The large gas grill will help you attain grill master status. Dine al fresco, at the patio table or enjoy your morning coffee in the sunshade, while stretching out on the chaise lounge. We continue to work on out backyard space incorporating unique yard art, special planting areas and interesting vignettes.

The kitchen is well equipped for hosting a family dinner or friends for the game. You can eat in every night every night if you like with plenty of room to cook up family favorites or try new recipes together. We've had many families enjoy a Thanksgiving feast and Christmas dinner right here at The Cottage.

The coffee bar features flavored syrups, regular and decaf coffees, 10 kinds of tea and cocoa and natural Stevie sweeteners. Wake up and brew up some morning joe. We offer premium coffees, or relax on the living room chaise with a soothing cup of herbal tea.

The dining table expands to host 10, the patio seats 8 for meals and you can take your coffee on the covered front porch while keeping your pup plays in the large fenced yard so you'll have plenty of space to accommodate.

Frozen beer glasses await your arrival and coffee for the morning too.

Lots more outdoor space awaits you on our large front porch. The front yard is fenced offering a great space for your dog to play and get exercise.

Our beds get RAVE reviews. They are the comfiest. Our bedding is all cotton, all the time. We simply won't compromise. Not only do we believe cotton is the most comfortable, it cleans up the best, and without doubt, it helps us keep plastic out of our oceans.

You will check yourself in with the digital keypad on the back door adjoining the parking area. We are close by and available should you need a thing, otherwise, you probably won't see us.

We happily accept PET GUESTS. The cost is $75. per pet, per stay.

Our neighborhood is has a rural feel but you are still just a few blocks from City Park, the golf course, Sheldon Lake, the City Park Community pool, King Sooper's grocery, Campus West area full of cafes, shops and entertainment.

Fort Collins is a bike and pedestrian friendly city. Nearly every street has bike lanes. The Max Transit serves the city (N-S through town) as well as Transfort bus lines offering lots of public transportation. Uber and Lyft operators also abound.

Northern Colorado has abundant hiking, biking, fishing, rafting, kayaking, camping and scenery. Spring Creek, Trail, Cathy Fromme Natural Space, Poudre River Trail, BobCat Ridge Open Space, Devil's Backbone Nature Trail, Horsetooth Mountain Recreation Area and Reservoir, just above Fort Collins offers all varieties of water sports.

PLEASE, if you require central air conditioning, do not book our property.
We have a free-standing unit in the living room and large fans in every room. This keeps the house pretty cool however, this is not the same as central AC and you will not be able to turn it down to 62 degrees.
Since it gets very cool at night here in Colorado, windows are often opened at night even with central AC. We realize our situation does not meet everyone's needs however and want to be very clear about the situation. We would rather miss your booking than have unhappy guests.

- "The house was cozy and perfect for us.., close to all the things we wanted to do but still with a country quite feel. We enjoyed the back patio and fire pit. The yard was just right for our small dogs, and we are so thankful we did not have to leave the fur babies behind. The AC in the living room, along with the fans, kept the temp comfortable. Wifi worked great which was appreciated as my cell mobile hot spot was slow and spotty. Julie our host was great and the communcation was easy. The fenced-in, expansive backyard provides an additional gathering space for vacationers and their guests/pets.

In the spirit of minimizing our impact on the environment, all provided soaps and detergents are sulfate-free and most cleaning operations are green.

Lake Loveland is a short walk down the back alley where you can enjoy a day of fishing, swimming, playing at the playground and much more! Boyd lake is a 5 minute drive and has a wide range of exciting lake activities. You can rent boats, paddleboards or visit the swim beach for a full day of Colorado activities.

Fort Collins is a wonderful college town just north of Loveland and a short 15 minutes drive, with availability to world famous breweries such as New Belgium and Odell Brewing Companies. This property is nestled in the foothills with seven acres of land, two separate dwellings, a Main House (Blue House) and a Cottage (Red House). We are living in the Main House and our guests stay in the Cottage. Both houses are using a common driveway, but they are separated by a privacy fence. The Cottage has one bedroom furnished with a king size Sleep Number bed which can be adjusted for desired firmness; a full bathroom with a bathtub to soak in after a long day of either leisure or work; an open plan fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and a large size living room surrounded by windows to observe and enjoy the beauty of the country side. The Cottage also has a sunroom with a wood burning stove and a full-size bed. Central air conditioning and forced air heating system provide comfort during hot days of summer and cold snowy days of the winter. The property has a private mountain trail and a large meadow for mountaineering and jogging. There is a shared detached 3 car garage to accommodate our guests. From mid-April to mid-October, we are around for daily maintenance of vegetable and flower gardens, and weekly mowing and trimming of the lawn throughout the property while in the winter time and during snowy days, we are in charge of snow removal of the long driveway. Although the Cottage is located in a quiet and serene countryside setting, it is only 15 minutes away from Downtown Loveland, Loveland Museum, Loveland Public Library, Rec Center and grocery stores; and 10 minutes from Carter Lake, 20 minutes from Horse Tooth Reservoir and 50 minutes from Estes Park. There are several trails, parks, and lakes at different proximity as well (a map of the trails is included in the welcome package for your convenience). Throughout the year, one would catch sight of many species of wildlife such as deer, elk, rabbit, birds of prey and other colorful birds. Many neighbors have beautiful horses and boarding facilities. We have a large fenced area for our hens who lay free range eggs daily. Here, evenings start with breathtaking sceneries of sunset which is a must watch! Snowy days are spectacular as well, especially while setting by the warmth of a wood burning stove with a cup of hot tea or chocolate and watching snow flicks dancing outside. A generous library supplements the dwelling where you can find books and games for your leisure. This cottage is ideal for retreating in a quiet place where you can enjoy the peaceful serenity of the country side.

My property is in Old Town Fort Collins. It is close to Downtown, City Park, Colorado State University, and Horsetooth Reservoir. You’ll love my place because it is a fully renovated home that combines Old Town style and New Town comfort. My place is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, visiting professionals, outdoor minded people, and parents and family of CSU students.

The space
This home is a comfortable space for one individual or for a family of four. It is fresh and uncluttered, and it has been fully remodeled. Both bedrooms have brand new Dunlopillo mattresses and bedding for a good night's sleep. The mature landscaping in the front yard welcomes you into the home, and in the backyard it makes you want to stay and hang out to enjoy the Colorado sunshine.

Other things to note

The space
The Cottage is a family and pet-friendly space your party will have all to themselves. Situated in a rural feeling neighborhood that often hosts deer and other wildlife right on the property.

We supply all the basics you need for a short stay or to get you started should your visit be longer. This includes shower soap and shampoo, TP, paper towels, hand soap at the sinks, trash bags, laundry soap, drier sheets, dish and dishwasher soap, propane for the fire pit and grill, and the coffee bar. We also have toothbrushes and razors as a convenience should you have left yours at home.

The WestSide Cottage (Larimer Co. STR Lic #21-ZONE3177) has a lovely, rural feeling situated on a couple acres surrounded by old trees and small horse properties, yet just a short walk to City Park 9 Golf Course, Sheldon Lake and the City Park pool. Close to Old Town, breweries, The Discovery Center and the new CSU Canvas stadium, the Poudre Canyon. The Cottage is a quaint and cozy 3 bedroom farmhouse.

Enjoy our spacious and relaxing patio! There's lots of seating to enjoy an evening under the stars with the fire pit, and string lights. The large gas grill will help you attain grill master status. Dine al fresco, at the patio table or enjoy your morning coffee in the sunshade, while stretching out on the chaise lounge. We continue to work on out backyard space incorporating unique yard art, special planting areas and interesting vignettes.

The kitchen is well equipped for hosting a family dinner or friends for the game. You can eat in every night every night if you like with plenty of room to cook up family favorites or try new recipes together. We've had many families enjoy a Thanksgiving feast and Christmas dinner right here at The Cottage.

The coffee bar features flavored syrups, regular and decaf coffees, 10 kinds of tea and cocoa and natural Stevie sweeteners. Wake up and brew up some morning joe. We offer premium coffees, or relax on the living room chaise with a soothing cup of herbal tea.

The dining table expands to host 10, the patio seats 8 for meals and you can take your coffee on the covered front porch while keeping your pup plays in the large fenced yard so you'll have plenty of space to accommodate.

Frozen beer glasses await your arrival and coffee for the morning too.

Lots more outdoor space awaits you on our large front porch. The front yard is fenced offering a great space for your dog to play and get exercise.

Our beds get RAVE reviews. They are the comfiest. Our bedding is all cotton, all the time. We simply won't compromise. Not only do we believe cotton is the most comfortable, it cleans up the best, and without doubt, it helps us keep plastic out of our oceans.

You will check yourself in with the digital keypad on the back door adjoining the parking area. We are close by and available should you need a thing, otherwise, you probably won't see us.

We happily accept PET GUESTS. The cost is $75. per pet, per stay.

Our neighborhood is has a rural feel but you are still just a few blocks from City Park, the golf course, Sheldon Lake, the City Park Community pool, King Sooper's grocery, and Campus West area full of cafes, shops, and entertainment.

Fort Collins is a bike and pedestrian-friendly city. Nearly every street has bike lanes. The Max Transit serves the city (N-S through town) as well as Transfort bus lines offering lots of public transportation. Uber and Lyft operators also abound.

Each bedroom features a queen-size pillow top mattress dressed in premium 100% cotton bedding and plenty of pillows. Our guests beds are super comfortable. We offer a variety of pillows from cloud soft down to extra firm memory foam. A pillow for every head. You're sure to find one you love.

Fort Collins is located in beautiful northern Colorado at the mouth of the Wild and Scenic Poudre Canyon as well as access to Colorado Hwy 34 to Rocky Mountain National Park. If you haven't rambled the Wild and Scenic Poudre Canyon (national designation), you are missing some of the most beautiful country in the state.

Northern Colorado has abundant hiking, biking, fishing, rafting, kayaking, camping, and scenery. Spring Creek, Trail, Cathy Fromme Natural Space, Poudre River Trail, BobCat Ridge Open Space, Devil's Backbone Nature Trail, Horsetooth Mountain Recreation Area and Reservoir, just above Fort Collins offers all varieties of water sports.

Fort Collins brews 70% of the state's microbrew beer including nationally renowned New Belgium and O'Dell. Additionally, we have several spirit distillers such as Copper Muse and Spring 44 in the area.

We say the WestSide Cottage is "kinda country, right in town" so you may see wildlife on the property...deer, fox, raccoon, bobcat, rabbit. Enjoy!

PLEASE, if you require central air conditioning, do not book our property.
We have a free-standing unit in the living room and large fans in every room. This keeps the house pretty cool however, this is not the same as central AC and you will not be able to turn it down to 62 degrees.
Since it gets very cool at night here in Colorado, windows are often opened at night even with central AC. We realize our situation does not meet everyone's needs however and want to be very clear about the situation. We would rather miss your booking than have unhappy guests.

ONE RULE...NO animals on the furniture EVER. We mean this, we see it when the rule is broken (we do our own cleaning) and we will charge back at $200 per animal if this rule is broke. If you cannot commit to comply, please do not rent from us. We love animals but our next guest may not. We strive to offer the same exceptionally clean environment to every guest.
