It is in a nice quiet location to relax, listen to nature and fish. My son (15yrs old) was thrilled with the big bass he caught and I was in awe one of the nights I was driving back to the house, in the early evening and stopped at the T too turn towards the house and saw at least 8 to 10 deer feeding in the yard of the neighbors. We would definitely try to stay there again if we are back in the area!"

The Lakeside Lodge is a 3700 square foot lakefront Tennessee log home tucked away among tall pine trees on 1 acre of land. This luxurious lake front home offers seclusion and privacy. Staying at the Lakeside Lodge is a unique vacation experience. A private dock and a lake life experience that can be enjoyed all year round. Daytime fun can include boating, fishing, swimming and kayaking right off the private dock located in the backyard. In the evening enjoy a fun game of corn hole or badminton in the yard, pool or ping pong in the den, capped off with roasting marsh mellows at night over the fire pit.

The home is spacious. The open living room is flanked by premium windows and French doors, has wide board heart pine floors and is topped off with a grand cathedral ceiling. Fall and winter guests can warm up to a cozy fire by either of the 2 wood burning stone fireplaces. You can enjoy your morning coffee by stepping out onto one of 2 decks looking over the lake. The dining area includes seating for 9 inside plus a picnic style table on the screened porch with seating for 10.

The primary bedroom is located on the main level and features a king size bed and a large bath with jetted tub, walk in shower, dual vanities and separate water closet. The upstairs loft overlooks the living area and includes two queen sized beds. There are two additional bedrooms upstairs, each with a private half bath and a shared jack & jill shower room. The basement includes a bunk style bedroom with three bunk beds.

Walk out the basement doors to a grassy backyard with a gradual slope to the water and deck. Inside there are 3 pub style high tables for puzzles, games or hanging out and a pool/ping pong table. There is also a sectional sofa, large TV, wet bar and additional refrigerator.

The covered private dock can accommodate a pontoon style boat. A boat is NOT included in your stay, but guests can bring their own boat or rent one from any of the nearby marinas There are 4 kayaks (2 double, 2 single), life jackets and tubes for guests to use during their stay. You may bring your own permitted lake toys too! The Lakeside Lodge is located on the Georgia side of Clarks Hill/J. Strom Thurmond Lake. If you choose to book with us, we can email you a pdf packet on the local golf courses, restaurants as well as the needed info on renting a boat and the other amenities on Clarks Hill Lake.

Our cozy cabin has had many remodeling updates since 2020. It is fully furnished and includes 1 queen bed, 1 full bed, 1 full bunk bed with twin bed on top, and a pull out queen sofa in living room. We have plenty of room to park your boat as well. We are not located directly on the lake due to Corp of Engineers property that protects the lake. But we are just minutes from Lake Russell and Clark Hill (Strom Thurmond) boat ramps. We are also located about 1/4 mile from the entrance to Bobby Brown State Park with great picnic areas and access to boat ramps. Bring your boat and enjoy the great fishing or just relaxing and having fun on the lakes!

Our home consists of an open floor plan with two bedrooms and two baths, all with lake views. The Master bedroom offers a nice sitting area with a couch that also converts into a queen size bed for additional sleeping arrangements.

There are three spacious porches to enjoy the quiet and lovely scenery. Direct access to the owner's private single slip two-level boat dock is available for your use, within walking distance across the street, approximately 75 yards away. The boat dock will be under construction between August 15th and September 18th. Please contact us for more details if the boat dock is important for your stay.

For safety purposes only, there are cameras outside located on the garage and side porch. Once guests arrive, the cameras are disabled. There are no cameras in the interior of the home.

Couldn't hear road noise or anything except an occasional airplane- hard to find in this day and age. A great place to enjoy the SC summer weather."

Welcome Aboard to our completely refurbished 50 foot houseboat! It has been retired from sailing the seas and is now a permanent dry-docked boat house!

The boat house has a great location. It's just 5 minutes from Jodi's Bait shop. Bring your boat, water toys and all your fishing gear and choose which lake to visit each day. There are 5 boat ramps less than 10 minutes away that serve Lake Russell and Clarks Hill (Strom Thurmond Lake).

If fishing isn't your favorite, visit the Elbert County Wildlife Management Areas to hunt for deer, turkey & other small game.

Not a hunter or fisherman? That's fine too! Whatever the reason you are in the area, we would love to have you stay in our boat.

The boat is fully furnished, has TV and wifi and Sleeps 3-4 people. There are 2 twin beds in the main bedroom and one hallway nook bed. A child could sleep in the hallway nook bed and/or on the couch. There is also space in the living room for a blow up twin size mattress. Bed linens are provided. A full bathroom is also stocked with towels.

The living room has a loveseat couch and massage chair for our weary travelers to relax to the fullest. A stocked kitchenette allows for light meal preps while you relax. There is not a full stove but we provide an electric double burner & flat iron to cook with while you are here. Microwave, coffee pot and utensils are all stocked and ready for use.

We have 17 acres guests are welcome to walk to the creek in back or just relax near the camper and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Enjoy the privacy of your own lake and the sounds of nature when you stay in this unique place. This Lake House called Casa de Lago, is equipped with all the amenities you need for a relaxing get away. Take a kayak out on the lake and row around or cast a line into the water and see how many fish you can catch. At night enjoy a bon fire or just the sounds of nature surrounding you.

The space
McKenley Cove is a private lake nestled in the small town of Calhoun Falls, South Carolina. There are two lodgings available on the property - Casa Lago- our lake house and Casa Pequeño- our tiny house that shares the common outdoor area. The lake is 21 acres of prime fishing and wildlife surrounded by miles of timber.

On any given evening you could sit on the porch and watch geese fly in, otters playing in the water, families of deer stopping for a bite from one of the many fruit trees and turtles ambling down for a quick swim.

There are of grassy areas for games and picnics. Two kayaks are available for your use. We have fishing equipment also if you’d like to try to catch one of the bass in the lake.

McKenley Cove is a perfect hideaway for a relaxing, quiet visit but it’s just 20 minutes away from Historic Abbeville County should you want to venture out.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the main lake house and the grounds. There is also a tiny house on the grounds that can be rented for additional accommodation. Message us for special rates on renting both spaces. There is a large fire pit in the common access area on the grounds.

Other things to note
Please be advised, McKenley Cove is very much completely surrounded by nature. We do have exterminators treat the accommodations regularly for all types of creepy crawlers and even snake deterrent. However, we cannot guarantee that you won’t see our resident black snake, Fred, as you take your walks around the lake.

Guests need to be aware of their surroundings and we suggest taking walking sticks as you explore. We usually have a few available inside the lake house.

Dogs should always be kept on a leash outdoors. We would hate for little Fido to run off through the woods chasing a deer or some other animal and get hurt!
