My son (15yrs old) was thrilled with the big bass he caught and I was in awe one of the nights I was driving back to the house, in the early evening and stopped at the T too turn towards the house and saw at least 8 to 10 deer feeding in the yard of the neighbors. We would definitely try to stay there again if we are back in the area!"

The Lakeside Lodge is a 3700 square foot lakefront Tennessee log home tucked away among tall pine trees on 1 acre of land. This luxurious lake front home offers seclusion and privacy. Staying at the Lakeside Lodge is a unique vacation experience. A private dock and a lake life experience that can be enjoyed all year round. Daytime fun can include boating, fishing, swimming and kayaking right off the private dock located in the backyard. In the evening enjoy a fun game of corn hole or badminton in the yard, pool or ping pong in the den, capped off with roasting marsh mellows at night over the fire pit.

The home is spacious. The open living room is flanked by premium windows and French doors, has wide board heart pine floors and is topped off with a grand cathedral ceiling. Fall and winter guests can warm up to a cozy fire by either of the 2 wood burning stone fireplaces. You can enjoy your morning coffee by stepping out onto one of 2 decks looking over the lake. The dining area includes seating for 9 inside plus a picnic style table on the screened porch with seating for 10.

The primary bedroom is located on the main level and features a king size bed and a large bath with jetted tub, walk in shower, dual vanities and separate water closet. The upstairs loft overlooks the living area and includes two queen sized beds. There are two additional bedrooms upstairs, each with a private half bath and a shared jack & jill shower room. The basement includes a bunk style bedroom with three bunk beds.

Walk out the basement doors to a grassy backyard with a gradual slope to the water and deck. Inside there are 3 pub style high tables for puzzles, games or hanging out and a pool/ping pong table. There is also a sectional sofa, large TV, wet bar and additional refrigerator.

The covered private dock can accommodate a pontoon style boat. A boat is NOT included in your stay, but guests can bring their own boat or rent one from any of the nearby marinas There are 4 kayaks (2 double, 2 single), life jackets and tubes for guests to use during their stay. You may bring your own permitted lake toys too! The Lakeside Lodge is located on the Georgia side of Clarks Hill/J. Strom Thurmond Lake. If you choose to book with us, we can email you a pdf packet on the local golf courses, restaurants as well as the needed info on renting a boat and the other amenities on Clarks Hill Lake.

If kayaking is your thing, Broad River is less then 5 minutes away. Calm water and rapids. You could literally kayak up within walking distance of the cabin.

Our cozy cabin has had many remodeling updates since 2020. It is fully furnished and includes 1 queen bed, 1 full bed, 1 full bunk bed with twin bed on top, and a pull out queen sofa in living room. We have plenty of room to park your boat as well. We are not located directly on the lake due to Corp of Engineers property that protects the lake. But we are just minutes from Lake Russell and Clark Hill (Strom Thurmond) boat ramps. We are also located about 1/4 mile from the entrance to Bobby Brown State Park with great picnic areas and access to boat ramps. Bring your boat and enjoy the great fishing or just relaxing and having fun on the lakes!

The space
Our home consists of an open floor plan with two bedrooms and two baths, all with lake views. The Master bedroom offers a nice sitting area with a couch that also converts into a queen size bed for additional sleeping arrangements.

There are three spacious porches to enjoy the quiet and lovely scenery. Direct access to the owner's private single slip two-level boat dock is available for your use, within walking distance across the street, approximately 75 yards away. The boat dock will be under construction between August 15th and September 18th. Please contact us for more details if the boat dock is important for your stay.

For safety purposes only, there are cameras outside located on the garage and side porch. Once guests arrive, the cameras are disabled. There are no cameras in the interior of the home.

Bird life on lake very nice- geese, egret, herons. The quiet is wonderful. The larger house was not occupied. Couldn't hear road noise or anything except an occasional airplane- hard to find in this day and age. A great place to enjoy the SC summer weather."

Bring your boat, water toys and all your fishing gear and choose which lake to visit each day. Angler's Retreat features two bedrooms and one full bathroom with a tub and shower. One bedroom features a queen size bed with an attached entry/outdoor view of the yard. - "Very remote area, so silence abounds except for birds and squirrels.! its a dead end street on a peninsula of land right on the lake. Great dock to sit and have a bourbon and cigar.! She was very helpful and nice before the trip and after my husband got back I have written 3-4 emails and she has not responded to any of them. So, Petra is great but not a great communicator and that is what this industry is all about.
