E wet detail was attended to and the host supplied the essentials in the kitchen and bathrooms which was great. Mike was very easy to reach and checked in a few times to ensure the stay was going well. The home was very clean, had a good view of the lake and just one street over you get an amazing sunrise view of the lake. The fenced in backyard was perfect for my dogs. The screened in porch is quaint and the neighborhood is quiet. Check in and check out we’re a breeze! Would recommend!"

All utilities INCLUDED with exception of cable (the home comes with fiber/high speed internet that’ll support streaming services). Home is COMPLETELY furnished. Due to size, home comfortably sleeps 4, but can support up to 10. All you need to do is show up and enjoy. Property includes covered parking with plenty of room for boat trailers as well.

There is a boat launch to the left of our left-side neighbor. Key is provided to access. We just ask that no one walk through our neighbors yard to/from. We have both a small charcoal grill as well as a gas grill for your use and convenience. Firewood and a fire ring are provided for use as well. Yard is NOT fenced. All children and approved pets MUST BE MONITORED/WATCHED. SUMMER MONTHS: From Late May till end of August there will be Mayfly hatches. This is unavoidable. Mayflies when they hatch will swarm and you’ll see them EVERYWHERE and stick to EVERYTHING. They are harmless, but are not very sightly. We make every effort to keep the outside of the property clean, but in less than 24 hours a mayfly hatching can make a place look like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. You’ll be staying on a body of water so expect bugs, ants, mosquitoes, etc.

- "This home had just what we needed. A nice dock which was perfect for a bottle of wine in the evening. A wonderful, large screened in porch on the back for lounging. Fully stocked kitchen. Comfortable furniture and beds. We spent most of our time floating on tubes at the end of the dock and relaxing on the back porch. My wife and I absolutely loved it. This is a home we would definitely rent again! Another reviewer mentioned the Clark's Inn and The Lake House for dining. We tried them both and they were fantastic."

Guests are welcome to use the dock for fishing, sunbathing, or to dock their boats. This location is at the big water of lake Marion. Be advised, our home utilizes natural well water. Natural well water has a distinct earthy odor-rest assured it is safe to drink, cook, and bath-in. The dock is shared between two houses.

- "We rented this property for 12 days. If you're fishing here are some tips. There is deep water, a boat ramp next door, Arbuckles Landing, and there is a gate closed at night. It's $20 to put your boat in/out. On the dock, there is power, lights, pole holders, a bench, board for cleaning fish, and a boat lift which we did not use because our Tritoon was too large. Take bumpers for docking because if a storm blows up, the big water gets rough and your boat will rock against the dock. We also used ropes to tie more than just the two sides to keep it steady when docked. There is a well lit path to the house from the lake, but it is uphill. There is plenty of freezer space since there are 2 full sized refrigerators and one is a side-by-side where we stored many bags of ice. The place was very clean, well stocked, plenty of linens and towels."

The rooms all have king beds and mounted flat screen TVs. My family cooled off in the large outdoor pool where the property hosted a few events that included grilled food for guests. If you are looking for a really nice, comfortable, clean space to stay while in Santee or the surrounding areas, I cannot imagine a better place. Five star for sure! Bedrooms connect with shared closet systems via two modest yet well-appointed Jack-and-Jill bathrooms that offer guests an option between a tub/shower combo or a standing shower.
Take in that view! Exit the great room through the sliding glass doors to an outdoor area with ample seating for all your entertainment needs. Guests can enjoy morning coffee & afternoon sweet tea on the covered porch on the glider or at the bistro table, or they can sit back and relax around the pool and spa in the 2 Adirondack chairs, 4 chaise lounges with side tables, or at the picnic table to dine al fresco.
