An additional sunroom with a futon provides comfort for any extra guests. Very large property located on Lake Moultrie in a cove with 400 feet of waterfront. Bring your boat and fishing poles! Boat launch is only 6 houses away and you can pull into the backyard for your whole stay. Very short beautiful boat ride to the big open waters of Lake Moultrie. Sit in the extra large sunroom to drink your morning coffee and take in the wildlife sights including deer, egrets, blue heron, and even white squirrels.. There is fenced in backyard as well with a 16 x 20 deck. Even though you’re in the country, there are many conveniences a short drive away. Come visit Lakeside retreat! Please note, in the winter months from December through February, Santee Cooper lowers the lake levels making the canals shallow.the main marina is a very short drive for larger boat access during these months.

Spacious two bedroom cottage between Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie. Great fishing and quiet nights enjoying a private cove filled with wilderness. A short walk to Mac Daddy's for a bite to eat. There is plenty of room to dock your boat in the backyard. The water depth in the back yard is 5-6 feet and after launching your boat in at the ramp 100 yards away, you can tie it up to the dock in the backyard.

Great fishing year-round, either by boat or from the docks located a short walk away at Canal Lakes fish camp.

There are two beds upstairs, two pullout sofas downstairs. We also have an additional cot and pack-n-play for kids. We offer a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, and 1.5 bathrooms. Just bring your fishing poles!

There is a fish cleaning station located in the rear of the property, although you can get them cleaned quick and cheap over at Canal Lakes Fish Camp if you don't want to clean them yourself.

There is a washer and dryer on premises and clean linens/towels are provided. WiFi internet, Roku, DVD player, and Nintendo are also provided.

There is a huge yard for playing corn hole, tag, or even frisbee. This is the perfect place to unwind and make memories with loved ones! Fully equipped kitchen with everything you will need to prepare and serve large family meals. The main house, guesthouse and bunkhouse ensure everyone has their own privacy. Multiple front porches and screened back porches to lounge and spend quality time with plenty of table tops for putting together puzzles, playing cards or checkers. The lake is beautiful and perfect for sunbathing, boating, fishing, and all kinds of water sports. There is a public boat landing close by so bring your own boat and get on the water. The property sleeps sixteen in total - The main house sleeps eight, the guest house sleeps three, and the bunkhouse will comfortably accommodate five children with a futon under a twin bunk and a pull out sofa bed. Moncks Corner is fifteen minutes away with lots of casual dining options and shopping. Less than a mile away in Bonneau there are also a couple of great local spots to dine. The sunsets from the back porch are spectacular. You won't want to miss them or this special piece of heaven on the water!

Enjoy Fishing? Boating? or just relaxing by the water? Our place (BBGetaway as we affectionately call it – aka Bonneau Beach Getaway) is located on a quiet protected cove on Lake Moultrie which is the third largest lake (more than 60,000 acres) in SC. About 200 yards up the cove from the “big water” of Lake Moultrie, our place is protected from the winds and rough water found on Lake Moultrie's deeper water by a narrow peninsula of woods. Our location is ideal for launching and mooring your boat or jetskis at our private dock , kayaking or enjoying time on the dock whether to fish or just relax. We are just a minute or two to the “big water” but you will have the close convenience of our boat ramp/landing, dock and fish cleaning station. We have been able to fish from our dock or launch and reload our boats when the winds on the “big water” would be too high and too rough to allow that. We have even fished in the cove from our kayaks or our small Pelican Bass raider pontoon when the big water was white capping. Truly, we have the best of both lake worlds – quick access to the deeper water and yet calmer water in our cove.

THE CABIN:
Our fishing cabin themed lakehouse has an open concept floorplan with the living area open to the kitchen and dining areas. Adjacent to the living room is an all glass sunroom where you will be able to take in some gorgeous views of the birds and wildlife in the cove. With 2 bedrooms that include a queen bed in one room and two full size beds in the other, our cabin can easily accommodate six guests on nice, comfortable beds. There is one bathroom which has a shower, one sink and toilet. The cabin has central air for heating/cooling . The kitchen is spacious with a nice free standing island, electric stove, refrigerator with icemaker (second refrigerator downstairs) and dishwasher. All the lower cabinets have pull-outs so you will have an easy time reaching the cookware and other kitchen items. Everything you need to prepare a meal is there – whether you want to cook a gourmet meal or just make some quick sandwiches – you're covered. And don't worry about having to carry all your “stuff” up the stairs because we have a motorized “cargo” lift (similar to an elevator) to make light of getting things upstairs. We do not have land line phone service so you will need to bring a working cell phone. We have internet service and “smart” tvs however we do not have cable tv. You will need to “stream” your preferred viewing options.
Starter supplies of paper products are provided. Additionally, bed linens and bath towels are provided. We do not supply beach towels. We do not supply fishing tackle.

DOWNSTAIRS/UTILITY/LAUNDRY: The underneath portion of our cabin is ideal for parking your vehicle or fishing boat (be mindful of height limit) or just sitting and enjoying some lake breezes. You'll find the utility room downstairs which is where the laundry equipment is located as well as an extra refrigerator for your convenience. You are welcome to use the washer and dryer but please do not overload.

While our full kitchen has about anything (well....not the food itself) you might need to prepare a scrumptious meal, Bonneau does have a couple restaurants close by as well as a small convenience store (they sell bait too). And with Moncks Corner only 10 minutes away, you have even more choices for dining / shopping.

This home features one bath with tub/shower combo upstairs and two baths with spacious stall showers downstairs, which are perfect to quickly clean up after a day of sand, sun, and fun times in the lake.

Enjoy beautiful sunsets at the end of a newly replaced private dock with built-in seating, from the oversized, furnished screen porch, or with your toes in the sand at lakeside. Host large family meals either upstairs at the dining tables that seat 12 or at the 20-person hand-built picnic table in the downstairs rec room, which also features three walls of windows overlooking the lake and surrounding yard, and has a casual seating area, ping-pong table, second refrigerator, and space to set up a buffet. The flat, grassy yard that transitions to sand and lake pebbles at the waterfront provides multiple options for lake-front seating in either an assortment of available lawn chairs, at the outside picnic table, or waterfront table and benches. Because Lake Moultrie is man-made, its flat, sandy bottom provides easy, kid-friendly entry to play in shallow water or to swim out. Bring your boat and use our new private boat landing. We arrived on Wednesday afternoon right before the hurricane made its way north. We caught 14 fish off the dock that night. Our charter boats canceled on Thursday due to the winds from the hurricane that moved north of us. We went out on the dock in 20+ mph sustained winds and caught 40 + fish including a 40 pounder 2 over 30 pounds and several 15 to 20 pounders. We then fished with our charter boats Friday an Saturday and caught another 100 fish. Man the cat fishing there is awesome. The house was great, the neighborhood is quite and the fishing is unreal. This is a waterfront property with direct access to a fresh water lake with no child-safe barriers in place. As with any fresh water in the southeast, there’s a strong possibility for alligators in the water. We do not recommend swimming off our dock for this reason. The stay at our Lakehouse is at your own risk.

An additional cleaning fee will be charged for any significant damage caused by children (such as drawing on walls or furniture) or pets (such as bathroom waste, excess fur, dug holes, etc) or other guests.

We are located in a semi-rural setting therefore having a vehicle is necessary to be able to get around.

Please note that this is a pet-free and smoke-free home, nor are parties or gatherings allowed above and beyond the stated maximum # of allowed guests. Violations will incur a $250 fee.

Unauthorized late check-outs or early check-ins will be assessed a fee of $50/hour.

- "The house was clean and comfortable." - "The location name was deceptive. Though it is close to the lake it’s not on the Lake. It’s located in a trailer park and is a trailer. Very spacious and clean. It was a bit uncomfortable at night as the French doors don’t have blinds or shades you could pull down. All in all not too bad for an overnight stay but an extended stay wouldn’t work for me."

There are 3 bedrooms that include: Bedroom #1 has 1 King sized bed, Bedroom #2 has 1 King sized bed, and Bedroom #3 have bunk Beds that is a Twin XL on the top bunk and the bottom is a Queen sized bed. The living room sectional sofa also has a pull-out bed as well. There is also a pack-and-play in the bedroom closet if needed too. Come enjoy a relaxing stay by the lake!

The cabin has two queen beds that are located in the loft of our cabin. The cabin has a half bath, and we have a newly renovated bathhouse that you will have full access to for showering! The cabin is equipped with a toaster oven, microwave and mini fridge. It will also have any linens, towels and basic dishes that you may need.

The bath house is located at the front of the park, the cabins are located at the back.

Our quaint cabins are located within Lake Moultrie RV Park and Marina! This gives guests immediate access to our boat launches and docks. We have boat parking upon request. Guests will have full access to any amenities and communal spaces.

The entire house and property is available when you rent our home. We ask that you stay out of the outbuildings but otherwise make yourself at home!

Other things to note
Our property includes our driveway, home, close to 3/4 of an acres and our dock. Please stay on our property and out of the outbuildings. Parking should only be on our driveway: please do not park on the street or in the grass.

Reminder: the lake has alligators. Please do not feed them or taunt them and watch any children or dogs around the shore and dock. Swimming is not allowed off the dock for this reason. Definitely no need to be fearful: just respect them and their space, and they will respect you.

If you are fishing, please do not discard any sort of fish guts or absolutely anything off the dock. That counts as feeding the alligators… And that’s setting us all up for a recipe for a disaster and is illegal.

This is a lake house directly on the water. There will be insects, reptiles, and potentially other wild animals. Please help us keep all of the above out of the house by keeping doors and windows shut and by properly disposing of garbage. All garbage should be bagged and placed in the trashcan.

Things to Know
This is a family-friendly home—but not baby-proof. Children must be supervised, especially near the lake.

Swimming off the dock is prohibited due to the natural presence of alligators. Respect them, and they’ll respect you.

Insects and wildlife are part of the charm. This is a real lake house—keep doors closed and trash secure.

No feeding wildlife or discarding fish remains off the dock. It’s unsafe and illegal.

Outbuildings are off-limits. Please park in the driveway only, not on the grass or street.

You’ll have full access to the home, yard, and private dock. The only areas off-limits are the exterior sheds and outbuildings.

This unique oasis has easy access to upper and lower lake. The main house has a beautiful farmhouse theme while the guest house more of a nautical scene with large windows looking out over the pool. grab a cold beverage from the bar and head down to the covered dock to catch some dinner or bring your boat and take a ride to a restaurant on the water. Then head back for your choice of activities. From the water slide to relaxing on a hammock. This is sure to be an annual retreat.
