We are tucked in by the beautiful hills of God's Country. There is something very special in this space between the mountains. Walk down to the Sequatchie river which runs through our homestead and enjoy what nature provides each season. In hot weather, dip your feet in the cool water or sit on the cedar swing and read a book while listening to the relaxing sound of the river. If you are looking to escape city life, have a personal retreat, or a quiet getaway, we offer a peaceful respite for rest and relaxation. We are next to the NOW-OPENED Justin P. Wilson Cumberland Trail State Park (open daily from 9-5) Also in Cumberland County, the golf capital of Tennessee, are ten championship golf courses. We are 20 minutes South of Crossville, TN, on the Cumberland Plateau which is home to the Cumberland County Playhouse, the historic homestead area, and Cumberland Mountain State Park. We are also one hour from the beautiful Fall Creek Falls State park. Other nearby waterfalls include Burgess Falls, Cummins Falls, Ozone Falls, and Rock Island State Park, among others. We are conveniently located 1 1/2 hours from Chattanooga and Knoxville. We are also 2 hours from the Great Smoky Mountains and Nashville. Our guest cottage is remote, quiet, and peaceful. Depending on the season and weather, we can offer a campfire down by the river, horse shoe pit, barbecue grill, and supervised use of the wood stove. This property located in the valley does not have cell service, although we do have free WI-FI, and if your phone has WI-FI calling, you will be able to make calls. There is no cable TV, but we do have Netflix, Pandora, and plenty of DVD's/Blue Ray movies for your enjoyment.

We did a lot of hiking trails but our favorites were Ozone falls which was 45 min away and Fall Creek falls about 1 hr away. We loved eating brisket nachos outside at the Creekside Brewery . The kitchen in the cabin has everything you need to cook if you want to but would suggest bringing your food . We don't stay many places that I want to return to but this one is one of them. Hope to visit again next year. If you stay there check out Beverly's soap she makes. They are great and I bought some to bring home to friends."

The space
While sitting on the large front porch, enjoy the sunset from the swing or sit back in the cedar Adirondack chairs. The house has a lot of space since the dining, kitchen and living room are all open. There are three different sitting areas in the living room. One centering around a 50" smart TV. Another in front of large windows overlooking the lake and a quiet reading nook to relax alone.

This house can truly accommodate 8 guests with 2 king beds, 1 queen and twin bunk beds downstairs. There are extra blankets and pillows in each closet for your comfort. (A port-a-crib and booster seat are located in the master closet.)

An incredible game room with a pool table, jukebox , 50" TV with 4 movie theater recliners and the bunk beds are located in the lower level. There is NO bathroom downstairs where the bunk beds are located. The spiral staircase that leads to the lower level may be difficult for some people to navigate. Access to this level is also available through the garage. Everything you need for a relaxing stay is found on the main level.

There is Wi-Fi for the smart TV's located upstairs and down. You can use your favorite app such as Netflix or Hulu for streaming movies and shows. There are tons of movies on DVD's to watch in cabinet downstairs. There are also plenty of family board games. Cell service is spotty, so it may be a good idea to have an app that will connect your cell phone to the Wi-Fi for phone calls. We do not have DirecTV or regular TV stations.

The fully equipped kitchen has a fridge, microwave, 5 burner gas range/oven, dishwasher, waffle irons, Keurig, a large coffee maker, and many other amenities. All the flatware, glasses and dishes you will need along with pots and pans are at your fingertips for large family meals.

If you love the outdoors, you are at the right place. You can go fishing, swimming, sit on the patio or by the campfire. The dock is extended by a pontoon boat that is attached to the side. You are welcome to fish or swim in this area or go to the public swimming area just around the lake, within walking distance. The lake is non-motorized. We have a canoe, 2 person kayak and a paddle board for guests to use. All swimmers are required to have flotation devices. The lake has a silty bottom and the water is kind of murky, so we like to be on floats instead of walking in the water.

We are dog friendly! They will love going out the doggie doors to play in the fenced back yard. The fence goes into the lake at each end so the backyard is open to the lake. They are welcome to swim in the lake and have their own towels to dry off. There is a non-refundable $100 pet fee - 3 dog max.

There is plenty of parking and a detached single carport.

Welcome to the Sun Suite, a bright accommodation to rest your head for a month or a year. The suite is fully furnished, with a full kitchen and bath, a queen bed and beautiful sunroom. A private suite, with private entrance, built from a single family home. Located just outside the city of Crossville, TN, on two tranquil acres. Seven minutes from the historic downtown and local hospital.

The space
The Sun Suite is one of three dwellings, and a large barn on two acres just outside the city of Crossville, TN. While the proximity to town is very close the acreage feels tucked away in the countryside. It's quiet and beautiful. The suite was constructed from a single family home that is now three dwellings. Each has its own entrance and parking, and is fully self contained. This arrangement has allowed my mother to stay in the home, and actually the suite she now lives in is the original home built in 1968. The additional two suites, of which the sun suite is one, were added on around 1990. The Sun Suite was a large living room area adjoined to a beautiful sun room. It's a very bright, yet cozy and comfortable space!

Guest access
The Sun Suite is a self contained unit. Parking is just outside the sun room, with a private entrance through the patio.

Other things to note
There is currently no washer or dryer in the sun suite. There is a clean and welcoming laundromat just 10 minutes away in town.

The suite has shared walls. Each suite usually has just one person living within and the noise is very minimal, however you will from time to time hear your neighbor.

Enjoy the balcony porch with breathtaking views. The stars at night are amazing! We have a telescope available if desired, as well!

Guests receive a complimentary welcome gift basket of supplies and a freshly baked treat is provided upon arrival but will not be replenished.

Pets are welcome- but owners are required to use a leash and to remove/cleanup pet waste accordingly from grounds.

You may also bring your Roku or Firestick for the TV. Cell phone service can be spotty, so make sure to set your phone to connect to WiFi for calls. A house phone is available at our residence if needed.

Guests should park on the gravel pad right in front of the Guest Suite stairs.

Guests will find the key to the entrance at the top of the stairs on the deck of the Cozy Nest- located in the mailbox.

Located on over 4 acres, this not-quite-tiny house is the perfect hideaway for adults to relax, or as a home base to explore the Cumberland plateau. Whether you are enjoying your coffee from the back deck, experiencing the highly anticipated Flatrock Motorclub, enjoying the Cumberland Playhouse, or adventuring out to the countless waterfalls around the plateau, you will return home rejuvenated after your stay in the cottage.

The space
We designed Cumberland Cottage with the desire to give you and your partner or friend a relaxing retreat. Including essential amenities, the cottage boasts a cozy living room, bedroom and full bath, along with a small kitchenette including a mini fridge, hot plate, microwave, keurig and french press coffee makers, as well as an outdoor grill upon request. Plan for low-stress meals in the kitchenette or visit one of our many local restaurants. You can watch streaming TV while lounging on the oversized leather sofa or nap on the extremely comfortable queen-sized bed.

Located on a private lane alongside a 50-acre forest, wildlife abounds if you are willing to wait! Take your coffee onto the back deck and keep your eyes open! So far on the property we have seen bobcat, deer, foxes, skunk, possums, squirrels, turkeys and a wide variety of birds making their way to the pond across the lane. You may also see us working on the property as we are beginning our homestead journey at our home across the lane. We have begun our family garden, have a coop full of chickens and are working to enhance your guest experience at the cottage with more outdoor features to enjoy. We value your privacy, but are happy to come say hi or make some local recommendations.

You have your own dedicated parking space with a lighted gravel path leading to the front porch. The cottage is located on property including a large pole barn that is currently used for storage and projects for our family business. Feel free to walk the path around the perimeter of the property, exploring the beautiful views.

A calm, stylish, and efficient guest apartment, that is adjacent to or home. It is a "barndo design" garage apartment near the Homestead Community in Cumberland County and 15 minutes from historic Crossville, Tennessee. The apartment is "pet friendly," and the kitchen and living room open floor plan design includes a 65" TV, full bath, and a washer and dryer off the living room. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed and dresser, and the upstairs loft is spacious with 2 twin beds.

The space
This property resides beside our home on a spacious 5 acre lot.
We have two beagles and a American bobtail cat that will also be on the property. The beagles love to socialize with other animals and humans. The dogs do have electronic collars that do not include the actual apartment. The cat is free range, but she is usually a "scaredy-cat" with new people.

The Apartment does have access door to the attached garage. Accessing the garage is not permitted.

Enjoy your get-away with you special someone, or bring your small group to this unique Cabin! Cook up a beautiful breakfast in the complete kitchen, go for a hike to see the many beautiful waterfalls and nearby state parks, then come home for popcorn and a movie! Lake Tansi Golf Course is only 2 miles away where you can play a game of golf and grab lunch at 19th Hole Restaurant. This cabin sleeps 2 in the one queen bed, and 2 more on a sleeper sofa.

There is a beautiful front porch with seating to enjoy the beautiful Tennessee outdoors. Have a morning cup of coffee with a loved one or enjoy a quiet afternoon reading a book!

Located near Lake Tansi in Crossville, Tennessee, this apartment was originally the local water company office and went on to be many other small businesses over the years. This is a cozy and comfy space, inspired by our favorite stories of Narnia, featuring one bedroom with a queen bed, a full pull-out sofa bed and a 50 inch TV with WiFi. Not located near a lake. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Located halfway between Crossville and Jamestown about 10 minute trip to town depending on traffic. Get the best of both worlds. This area is great for hiking and perfect to explore waterfalls. There are many waterfalls relatively close. The space
This house was built in 1949 as a community effort to replace a house that had burned down.
In the back field was a homestead sight. Along the creek there was a whisky still, mill and where the road is now there use to be a grocery store. All these are gone but the stories are still around.
In the spring and summer we have many wild flowers. Bee Creek runs along one edge of the property. A small stream runs through the property.
The house is unique. Decorated in 50’s farmhouse style with special decor in each room. It is rustic, well built and fun!
Picnic blanket and cooler provided. Picnic spot under the pines at the corner of the yard.

We welcome you to our country cabin, a wonderful place for a couple’s getaway or quiet corner all to yourself. Enjoy the clean, country air and starry night skies away from city lights; on a quiet, low traffic road facing woods and farmland with field, pond, and forest behind.

We are just across the field from a working dairy farm and less than a mile from the dairy farm store and creamery where you can find fresh meat, eggs, milk, and some of the country’s best hand-dipped ice cream!

The space
This custom-built 14x32 cabin offers plenty of space for two with one bedroom, a full bathroom, and a living area/kitchenette. The kitchen is equipped with microwave, Keurig, toaster oven, and refrigerator/freezer along with basic dishes. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo. The bedroom with dimmable, candle-light chandelier offers a queen size bed with Serta memory foam mattress and a large, walk-in closet for a convenient place to park luggage and hang clothing.

You will have unlimited access to high-speed Spectrum wireless (300 Mbps).

The house is heated/cooled by one wall unit in the living area. We also offer a bedroom heater for chilly nights.

Convenient location:
Our cabin is conveniently located 3.5 miles off Interstate 40 and centered between Nashville and Knoxville. We are less than 20 minutes west of Crossville town center. Cumberland Country Playhouse is only a 15 minute drive away. We are within an hour of many state parks including Cumberland Mountain State Park, Burgess Falls State Park, Fall Creek Falls State Park, Cummins Falls State Park, and Standing Stone State Park.

The entire cabin is yours. It is located on the owner’s property but with its own dedicated driveway, and far enough away for that extra sense of privacy. (See the photo for how far the cabin is from our house) Let yourself in with keyless-entry.

Other things to note
While we do have wifi, we do not offer a TV. There are books and games for your enjoyment. We supply complimentary tea and coffee.

The cabin does not have a washer or dryer.

There is a fire pit for your use near the front porch. We supply firewood. Just let us know if you need it! We’ll even be happy to light the fire for you if we are nearby at the time. We supply a lighter as well as roasting sticks.

Our two calico cats, Kelly and Cookie will probably come by to say Hi sometime during your stay. They are well fed even though they may try to tell you otherwise. We prefer that you not feed them. Also please do not allow them into the cabin even if they ask nicely. For the comfort and assurance of our guests, especially those with allergies, we want our cabin to remain completely pet-free!

Please NO PETS. A $200 fee will be charged if a pet is brought into the cabin.
