We have found that groups where everyone wants to be comfortable find this home the best! There are several areas to sit together both inside and outside as well as plenty of privacy for all. There are 4 Large Bedrooms with King beds. Two more Large Bedrooms support 1 Queen bed and 2 Queen beds and a set of bunkbeds respectively.
There are two bedrooms on the main floor with only one step from the garage in case anyone has difficulty climbing stairs. This allows everyone to enjoy the beauty of the lake and be in the middle of all of the fun!
You are more welcome to bring any floating devices, rings, floats, noodles, etc for your use. We kindly ask that you not leave them behind for other guests as our insurance does not allow us to provide any non-Coast Guard Approved floating devices. We will leave a few Coast Guard Approved life vests for your use.

Memories are made at Lake Hartwell. Come enjoy our home on a quiet cove in the Gumlog community just 10 minutes off of I-85 @ exit 173 in GA. Our fully furnished 3 BR/2 bath home sleeps 8 and boasts a large deck spanning the entire length of the home, looking out onto the lake. There is ample space for grilling on the gas grill, relaxing, and enjoying family and friends. There is a gentle sloping yard for outdoor games with a long meandering footpath that slopes down to the covered dock, leading to hours of lake activities. The driveway provides plenty of parking.

Our dock will accommodate your boat and the Franklin County Boat ramp is just 1 mile away.
Harbor Light Marina is just a 7 mile drive away where boat rental is available. Close by are the quaint towns of historic Lavonia and Hartwell where you will find a variety of shops and restaurants.

Other nearby activities include Tugaloo State Park, just a 9 min drive or a short paddle across the cove. Lake Hartwell State Park is just across the SC state line and a 17 min ride.

Tallulah Falls and North GA hiking trails are within a 1 hour drive of our home.

We are just about 30 minutes from shopping at Tangier Outlet Mall(south) or Anderson, SC(north), and 1 hour from the up and coming town of Greenville where there are many great restaurants and shops.

But best of all, if you are coming to the area for a Clemson football game, graduation, or parent’s weekend, this would be a great place to put your feet up. We have a large TV in the main room with access to our YouTube TV streaming service, as well as the TV in the master, for watching the games. It is a 34 mile/42 minute drive to Clemson if you are headed to the Campus.

This is a pet free/smoke free home and we ask that there be no large parties.

Quiet family & dog friendly home on Lake Hartwell with a large deck and two level boat dock. Very deep water (23 feet at dock when lake is full) means not worrying about summertime water drops and no touching your feet on the bottom when swimming and no muddy water! Two jet ski ports for keeping your water craft out of water and secure during your stay. Bring your boat too, there is plenty of room to tie up to the dock! There is a small boat ramp that is located in same cove and very easy to get to (Port Bass boat ramp). The spacious upper dock is furnished with cushioned furniture and sunshade. Kayaks are also available to be used to explore our large and quiet cove. The large 20'x30' deck overlooks the lake while keeping dogs and small children secure with gates and fencing. Multiple tables with sunshades, grill, and mosquito lamps will keep you comfortable while grilling out lunch or dinner. Full size washer and dryer along with two full size refrigerators. In addition the house is equipped with central air and smart TV. Master bedroom has a queen size bed, 2nd bedroom has two sets of twin bunk beds, and living room has a queen size pull out sofa bed. Concrete parking area is 35'x50' so there is room for your vehicle and trailer. Fast fiber WiFi included. There are multiple State and Federal parks in the area with hiking and biking trails. Our Lake Hartwell custom built home is located in a gated private 3 home community with a park like setting that is truly spectacular. Upon arriving at 'Heartwell Heaven', you will notice an beautiful custom craftsman style home with lake views for miles, a gentle slope to the water and a gorgeous park like setting where kids can run and play. The flat front yard is a great place where families can play volleyball, badminton or corn hole while others can relax on the rocking chair front porch with a cold drink.

Another favorite thing about our property is that it is less than 7 minutes off I-85 which makes it so convenient. For college fans, you can get to Clemson in 30 minutes and UGA in 45 minutes. Our priority when building our home was to have an upscale home with all of the niceties, have deep water and amazing view, and be less than 2 hours from Atlanta, GA one way, and Greenville, SC the other.

Our dock is situated on deep water year round so put on your suits and jump right off. Though we are situated on deep water, we are also near a cove so the high speed boats are never an issue. We just got a brand new large boat dock with 2 slips. Our Malibu boat is on a lift in one slip and our 24' pontoon in the second slip (available for rent), but you are welcome to tie up your personal boat on the side of the dock. There is plenty of space. We have 2 kayaks, a Lilly pad, a large tube, ropes, some water floats, water ski's, a wakeboard and much more. Bring your sunscreen and fishing gear for a full lake experience.

As you enter the front door you will be greeted with spectacular views of Lake Hartwell from the entire main level. The home has many extra amenities for your comfort such as granite countertops, upscale appliances including a food warmer, 2 refrigerators, a full sized washer and dryer, a floor heater in the master bathroom, a beautiful wood burning stone fireplace and much more. The kitchen hosts a farm table which comfortably seats 8 people with 4 bar stools around the kitchen island. Walk from the dining area to our covered porch where you can relax on comfy patio furniture and rocking chairs while enjoying our traeger grill and a picnic table for outside entertaining.

There are two Master bedrooms with king beds and private bathrooms.
The main floor master bedroom (#1) has its own bath with a luxurious oversized shower, garden tub, double vanity, and floor heater. The upstairs master bedroom (#2) has a king bed and en suite with tub/shower combo, tile floors, and single vanity. The other three upstairs bedrooms share a Jack-n-Jill bath with a tub/shower and a large vanity.

Home is on deep water in private cove. We are located minutes off exit 177 on I-85.

Our home is perfect for your family gathering or sharing a vacation with friends. There are three bedrooms upstairs which include the master (King bed) with private bath, and two additional bedrooms which share a full bathroom (one queen and two twins).

The remaining two bedrooms are located downstairs. One has a king mattress with new bedding and the other is a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds (4 twins). Both bedrooms share a bathroom.

There is a large upstairs family room with plenty of books, games, and DVDs to keep you entertained when you need a break from the sun or to wind down after a great day on the lake. Or you can enjoy a movie on one of the flat screen Smart TVs located in the upstairs great room OR in the separate living area downstairs.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with all of your cooking and baking needs including pots/pans, crockpot, low country boil stock pot, hand mixer, blender, muffin and cookie tins, cake pans, casserole dishes, as well as serving platters. Walk out to the deck from the kitchen and you will find a large gas grill for convenient outdoor grilling. Don't feel like cooking? You can enjoy Tilly's Tiki Hut located at Harbor Light Marina which is a 3 minute drive from the property. There are many other restaurants in the area as well. We are happy to provide suggestions!

Enjoy eating al fresco in our screened in patio overlooking the lake. Seating includes dining for six and a seating area with a couch and two chairs. The patio has two ceiling fans to keep you cool.

There is a game room in the basement to keep the fun-at-heart group occupied with ping pong, air hockey, can jam, or a basketball game.

There is a paved pathway to the deep water dock where you can enjoy fishing or swimming in the lake. (A golf cart is on property, but is not available for use or rent.) We are located on a cove, so there is very little boat traffic.

The owner's boat is stored on a lift at the dock and is not available for rent and will not be moved. However, the marina is right around the corner where you can rent a boat or you can bring your own watercraft. The boat launch is located one exit North and is a five minute ride to the property.

You may use the paddleboat that is stored on the dock, but please note that a $500 replacement fee will be charged if there is damage to the boat.

- "The property was exactly as advertised and the perfect size for our family of four plus pooch. There was plenty of space to spread out between the living room and outside patio. We enjoyed the convenience of proximity to the water and use of the dock for the pontoon rental. A side note, the staff at Harbor Lights Marina were great to work with and very service oriented. Our getaway to the lake to end the summer was fantastic with plenty of time spent on and in the water, a trip to downtown Greenville, as well into Hartwell, Lavonia and nearby Royston. This home is in an excellent location being only 4 miles from Interstate 85 and approximately 3 miles from Tugaloo State Park. Our home is approxmately 1/2 mile from Franklin County Boat Ramp and 1 mile from Harbor Light Marina for fueling boats. The marina also has boat and jet ski rentals. The area is convenient to many restaurants including the famous “Gumlog Barbecue and Fish Lodge” and has ample opportunities for shopping and entertainment. The home is approximately 1 hour north of the Atlanta metro area and 30 minutes south of Anderson, SC. There is a Tanger Outlet Mall in Commerce, GA approximately 30 minutes south from the home. Perfect location for UGA (50 min) and Clemson (30 min) football games.
All linens are provided, ample supply of towels, toilet tissue and paper towels. The kitchen is stocked with spices, plenty of pots and pans and most any gadget you might need. Full sized washer and dryer with all the laundry essentials. We have a pack-n-play and highchair for the little ones available upon request.
You are welcome to bring all the children but pets are not allowed and there are no exceptions as we have grandchildren who are very allergic. This is also a non-smoking home and smoking and vaping are not allowed inside.
