The creek is what I selected our property on and it didn’t disappoint. We tried fishing (no luck), we just sat by it and read a book, talked, we brought tubes (green ones “weekend” at the dollar general) and that was the best fun! Floating and hobbling along the little rapids while enjoying the green view above, The cabin was super cozy and had everything we wished for. Beds were comfy, sleeping by the sound of the creek was wonderful. The decor was fun and really made it the cabin in the woods. We also made a campfire with s’mores and played hide and seek, kids and adults alike. Twin falls is a short walk and was equally gorgeous, we swam in the little natural pool there. We did go zip lining at Upstate Ziplining which was amazing! To wrap it up: all was above par and we enjoyed our stay from beginning to end. Thank you Melanie!"

Our true log cabin is located on the sought-after north end of Lake Keowee--the Crown Jewel of South Carolina lakes. Build by the owner and his family, this retreat is the perfect place to escape the stresses of everyday life and completely unplug. But don't worry about being too unplugged... all the conveniences of modern life are still at your fingertips!

From the granite kitchen with stainless appliances to the flat-screen TVs and direct tv, home can be as close or far away as you want it to be. Our cabin is located on still canoe water, only a few paddles from the big water. Ideally suited to those who love to canoe or stand up paddleboard (both of which are provided--along with two kayaks), you can access the dock by way of a medium-sized motorized boat as well. You can park and bring your boat into our private dock, or park it at the marina, located just around the corner. Alternatively, reach out regarding the use of our luxury tri-toon...
Whatever you choose, there is a boating option for you. Oh, and fishing -- the water at the dock is perfect for casting your rod -- a big bass is often seen right nearby!

The tastefully decorated home has a woodland theme -- when you walk in the entrance and look straight through to the view, you'd swear you are in a treehouse! And, you might encounter a bear or two! Choose from a master on the main with private bath and log frame furniture. The second floor boasts a queen room and a "kids" room that sleeps 6 with single bunk beds and a queen bed. Both share a hall bath. The 4th sleeping area is in the lower level with a beautiful view of the trees and a peek at the lake.

The driveway is very very steep but our 84 yo family member was able to manage as there is parking midway down the driveway. The steps to the dock are equally steep so we didn’t go down but one time. There is a marina about 5 minutes and we appreciated Karen renting their boat during our stay. Overall it was a great time, very relaxing and close to Clemson!"

The property has an interesting history. We believe it was the first home in the area to have electricity (powered by a water-wheel at the back of the property, some remnants of that structure remain). The home was used as a place for travelers passing thru the area to stop and get a good night's rest. Of course, every old home has a ghost story. The weeping sound of Nancy the Ghost is claimed to be heard on occasion, we can’t confirm or deny her presence...but we are pretty sure Nancy is a friendly gal and her "weeping" is just the sounds of the old house creaking.
We can confirm that former US President LBJ was a guest. He liked it and we believe you will as well. For details, contact Scott.

Location: Yes...it is in the mountains, not rolling foothills. Ceasar's Head and Table Rock are just a few miles down the road from The Shamrock House, as well as many, many waterfalls, hiking, biking, tubing, whitewater rafting...you name it!
For recreation on the property, we have a basketball goal, a game of horseshoes, and several open meadows where the kids can play whatever sport they enjoy (just bring your gear)...or just relax in a hammock!

The property is located in the Rocky Bottom area of Sunset, Upcountry, South Carolina, approximately halfway between Pickens, South Carolina and Brevard, North Carolina on Highway 178 (an easy 30 minute drive to Brevard). The cabin is approximately seven miles north of Highway 11, the Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway.

Disclaimer: This property is "in the sticks." Although there are convenience stores a short drive down the road, and small towns within a 20-25 minute drive, please be aware that this area is remote. The main cabin is almost 100 yrs old and all 3 cabins are rustic. We work hard to keep everything dust-free and clean, but the nature of the property (and mother nature around the property) can change things overnight. Be advised, the Shamrock house is NOT disability friendly, some of the outdoor steps around the property are natural stone and if you have mobility issues this property may not be a good fit.

The lower level features a second master suite with private full bath. The second master bedroom suite has a queen bed and features a tiled walk-in shower. At the water is a covered dock with jetports. Bring your own boat or rent one locally. Next to the dock is our swimming area/beach, with stone steppers into the lake. Great protected shallow water sandy bottom area and deeper water swimming area. A Picnic table area is also located at water’s edge.

A paved golf cart path connects the ridge top home to the lake and dock area. It's approximately 100 yards from the house to the dock area. Although we do not provide a golf cart with your stay, there are golf carts available to rent locally in Seneca.

- "Perfect for our family of four! Beautiful views from every room and tv’s in each bedroom! (+ for us) Foosball table was so fun after an all day excursion in our boat rental. Dock was amazing and a bonus we could pull the boat under its cover. The hike up the hill is not for the faint of heart but you can drive closer if needed! Everything you could possibly need is in the kitchen and we really enjoyed the variety of coffee/ espresso machines!! Grill temp was a little difficult to regulate but we used it multiple times. Only thing I wish they had was a porch swing. Only problem I would foresee for future renters is the kitchen is upstairs from the front and back doors so be prepared to go up a lot of stairs even inside the house (we had 2 heavy coolers with our food and drinks for 10 days) Host was quick to answer questions and see how we were doing:) plenty of linens towels and blanket, toiletries and hand dish and laundry soap Hope to stay here again!! Thanks for an amazing week!!"

The space
This is a second home for us and we try to keep it stocked with essentials for ourselves and our guests. We live on a small farm in Pickens County near by and we try to keep you stocked with staples that are nice to have when grocery stores are not as close by. However, Holly Springs Grocery/Gas Station is just down the mountain. Feel free to use what you need. We also have hiking hammocks, bug spray, flash lights, dvds, books, toys for kids, and a first aid kit for your use. Please Note: our cabin is literally in the middle of the wilderness and there is no cell phone reception unless you are working from wifi calling, we do have fabulous fiber internet service.
Guest access
You will have full access to the 7 acres of our property and the 50,000 acres of DNR Wildlife management area and trails. Some hills are a little steep when walking up so please use caution. Also, we recommend carrying bear spray, compass, and being prepared as much as possible. It is very easy to get turned around. Our property lines are marked with orange flags.

Lake Wood Retreat is an Upper Lake Keowee waterfront home, tucked away in a private cove with breathtaking views. You will have access to two docks, one to park your boat and the other to lounge and relax. Kayaks and a paddle board are available for guests to use. Our quite cove is a great place for children to swim safely removed from main channel boat traffic. Our home sleeps 10. Please note that our boat will be in the dock slip from September - November. The main floor bedroom with an on suite awaits you as well as additional bedrooms ...all with spectacular views of tree canopies. More offerings of rest and relaxation can be found on the lower level of the home, with additional main bedroom with an on suite bathroom and two other bedrooms. The lower level also offers a pool table and separate entertaining space as well as access to the outside seating area and nature trails. Enjoy time with family and friends around the firepit, or take a walk to the pond where we invite you to fish (catch and release only please) Bring or rent a boat! This rental includes a complimentary slip at the community dock.
This home offers 3 king beds, 2 queen beds, and bunk beds for the kids (in their own custom built hideaway)! The bathrooms are spacious and beautifully designed. Seeing is believing!

Fantastic setting on the Eastatoee river. Trout fishing, hiking, biking, waterfalls, wildlife, lakes, and relaxing are some of the fun things to be experienced at the River Cottage. Great screened front porch for dinners or sleeping or morning coffee. This home backs up to thousands of acres of Deprtment of Natural Reaources land. It’s common to see deer and turkey on a daily basis. Come on and see it for yourself.
Make sure to leave your mobile devices and work at home. The internet is satellite and works great if you need it. Set your phone on WiFi calling and you can do video calls!

The cabin is located in the beautiful Eastatoee valley in the upstate of South Carolina. The valley was home to the Green Bird tribe of the Cherokee Indians for thousands of years. The Eastatoee valley is privately held land surrounded by the public state owned 50,000 + acre Jocassee Gorges. There are many activities to enjoy just minutes from the cabin. Such as hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, golfing, horse back riding , boating and many more within a 10 mile radius of the cabin. There are 4 state parks, several county parks and two lakes just minutes away as well. Lake Jocassee and Lake Keowee are two of the most pristine lakes in the country and only 15 minutes away. The town of Pickens is a 20 minute drive. The city of Greenville SC is less than a hour away and Atlanta Ga and Charlotte NC are about a two hour drive. Wi-Fi service is now available.

The master suite is equipped with a King bed, private balcony facing the accessible waterfall, and a grand shower room with a rain shower, multiple shower heads and a imported Japanese soaking tub, big enough for two.
The owner loves water and has placed a sleeping window by the bed that when cracked open allows the sound of the waterfall to trickle into the bedroom providing a restful sleep.

The grand kitchen provides the space and equipment desired by any chef. From the six burner gas stove, the commercial convection oven to the oversized kitchen island you have everything you need to create a dining experience you won’t forget.

Behind the kitchen walls you will find spacious outdoor dining patio. Feel free to throw in some logs into the handpicked, hand laid stone fireplace and let evening begin. To the right will find a one of a kind wood fired pizza oven imported form Portugal. Get those creative juices sizzling and make your pizza dreams come alive. (when you come up with a fire pizza recipe, please share!)
Wood is on site for purchase for the multiple fireplaces to sit around and enjoy the fresh mountain air.

Downstairs you’ll find a third bedroom//bunk room that is a multi-use space, bathroom and a highly entertaining game room with a walk out patio facing the river. A variety of games such as shuffleboard, Xbox, board games and a 4 in 1 games table is there for you or to entertain the kids while you take some time to relax.

The state of Georgia is hidden somewhere in the construction of the house. If you find it please message us and you will be placed on recognition board. It’s kind of hard to find so keep an eye out.

In addition to the house the community has a club house.
The club house has a tennis court, basketball court and lake access.

We are just a short drive from downtown Seneca, Pickens and Easley.

Soak in the Hot Tub while enjoying the lake view, sit around the outdoor firepit at night under the stars or spend days and evenings relaxing and grilling on the covered upper and lower porches.

At the end of the day relax in this 4,400-sf home, with an open-concept floorplan and lake views from almost every room. Eagle's nest is a large home big enough to comfortably fit up to 12 people. I have Traveled all over the United States and the one most important feature I look for is that the place is clean. You can be sure that this home is crispy clean. We strive hard to maintain it this way so we ask everyone to please help us keep it this way. This is the reason we do not allow smoking anywhere in or near this house. Second big reason we love this house is that inspires our love for nature. It has 4 cleared acres surrounded by a gorgeous flowing spring water creek. Perfect for morning or evening walks. We have also placed a large fire-pit with stumps and a swing chair for gatherings and fun times. We provide plenty of parking space outside for 2 boats and 3 cars. Table rock is about 7 minutes or 6 miles from this property. Its a place everyone visits for all types of hiking and nature browsing activities. We provide with the yearly park pass for Table Rock, Devils Fork and all SC state parks for one car. We probably missed something you wish to have added. Please let us know, we welcome and thank you for your input or feedback.

Please follow the below rules:

1. Place all trash in trash bags and in trash cans and secure lid due to bear activity.

2. Start dishwasher with any dirty dishes.

3. Place used bathroom towels and washcloths in a pile in respective bathrooms, or in the laundry basket in the laundry room. 🧺

4. Move back any furniture that has been moved to its original placement.

5. Set thermostat to 65 degrees in Winter time and 75 degrees in Summertime.

6. Upon exiting home, lock all windows and doors including the front door. Please double check and make sure everything is secured.

7. Make sure you have all your belongings. We are not responsible for any lost and found items. We will try our best to return any item belonging to you that you leave behind but you will have to cover the cost of shipping. We will do our very best to help you but we make no guarantees.

8. Pets are allowed, we provide cots to make them comfortable just make sure you bring their blanket and they'll know where they can lay down. Please let us know that your are bringing your pet/s. There's a $50 pet fee per pet for the entire stay. Home is near hwy therefore be cautious when taking pet outside.

9. Please treat this home like your own. We sincerely appreciate it.

10. No access to basement/downstairs.

11. If grill was used please clean it otherwise there will be a $25 extra cleaning fee.

12. If anything brakes or malfunctions please let us know before we find out. We check everything to provide you with everything in perfect condition.

If the home requires excessive cleaning, you may be charged an additional professional cleaning fee.

We recommend you to buy trip insurance for unknown situations. We cannot predict the weather in the mountains. Trip insurance should cover you for events out of our control as well as reasons you may have for cancelling.

This small and charming cabin was built in the 1950's with local rocks from Rocky Bottom. Recently renovated to include all modern amenities and well appointed comforts. Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, this cozy cabin is part of the beautiful Jocassee Gorges and has numerous waterfalls and hiking trails within a short driving distance. Rocky Bottom is nestled in the forest directly below the highest mountain in South Carolina, Sassafrass Mountain. The waterfalls and rock formations in this area are an amazing sight to see. We hope you will come to take a break from the hustle and bustle and relax to the sounds of rushing water, birds singing and take a deep breath of fresh mountain air. Shopping and Restaurants are a short drive away in Rosman and Brevard. Come make some memories at Rocky Bottom Retreat!
